I had 26 regular and 5 boosts. She showed me how she was concentrating part of the regular treatments to that area. They move the machine in different positions for different lengths of time (we're talking seconds) and she showed me how they were treating that area.

Thanks guys for all the support!  I had no problems with my first tx so far.  I'm more nervous now than before waiting for SE's, not knowing when or if they will hit.  In the meantime I'm going to make the most of this steroid energy injection to finish up my Christmas stuff.  Hugs to all!!

Hey everyone I've had a few bad days with the stomach but trying to deal.  Guess I'm going to lay off all food and drinks except water and chicken soup for a few days.  Hope that helps.  I really messed up Sunday night when I begrudgingly ate a small serving of spaghetti.  I haven't been right since.

Please say a prayer for a friend of mine I met on here she is having reconstructive surgery just like what I had this time last year.  She is very nervous about it.  Her surgery is tomorrow.  I won't list her name out of respect for her privacy.  Thanks ladies.

Hi all,  how's the shopping going?  I'm finishing up on line tonight.....just cannot get out any more.
Tonight was my last day of work for awhile - classes resume Jan. 23rd. I subbed for a friend who had surgery - I left home at 7 AM for rads, then to work until 9:30 PM.   I need a rest...but first, clean, wrap, bake, etc.
I had rad # 18 /30 today.  I can hardly remember doing them...I still get anxious when i have to lie still.  I just turn up my iPod loud enough so I can't think.  Then I spell out things forward and backward until the session is over.  Today was states; yesterday was family members' names.  It sounds weird but it works, and I can zone out and sometimes do not hear the monster machine turning on and off.  I'm off Xanax since rad #3, and it's all OK now.
I am thinking of the new sisters here - I remember being so overwhelmed in July...so many decisions....too many doctors. I feel blessed to be able to "hang out" with ladies who understand.
    Hugs everyone....
    Joan

Yes, Ducky, that's me MIA.  It seems there is never enough time in the day anymore.  Now that I am and empty nester once more it may be easier to find the time to come here and do more than try to catch up all the time.

Hope you did well with chemo yesterday, Judy.

Hello everyone:  I haven't been on here in a while...somehow it got lost out of my favorite topics.  My lumpectomy went fine and I have clear margins and nodes, so next step is to decide on radiation.  I will not be doing chemo.

I have an integrative physician who is giving me vitamin infusions (Meyer's cocktail) to boost my immune system...this will be good even if I decide to do rads.

Prayers for everyone going through surgery, radiation or chemo.  Sending you lots of positive healing energy!

Thanks everyone!  I appreciate the support that you have given me through this process.  It's good to be on the other side of surgery...now I have to get through the next phase of treatment options.  Right now I'm inclined not to do anything but diet and supplementation, but I am going to wait and see what my doctors say, and get the results of my oncotype.

    Have a wonderful holiday everyone!

    Kaara congrats to you!!

Thanks so much for the prayers for my friend she made it through her surgery fine and so far is only taking Tylenol for a headache... No pain! yippee.  I am awaiting another update from her.  The doctor was concerned about her irradiated side.  So prayers still going up for her.

As for me I have again felt much better the last couple days.  Water and very simple foods have really helped.

I had a great time with my dad and his family tonight for our family Christmas.  It is always nice getting together for family time.

    Much love to you all.

Hey Renee, glad you are feeling better and that your friend made it through her surgery okay.

Sheilia, I'm doing Taxotere, Carboplatin, & Herceptin.

I'm day 2 after my 1st tx.  So far doing pretty good.  Some aches and pains today and some acid indigestion, but nothing too bad yet.  Hoping to make it through the next two days with our family Christmases and then let myself crash for a couple of days.  Thanks so much for all the support.  It really does help.  Hope everyone else is doing well and hope you all have a Great Christmas.
