Layla, LOL you are so funny! I cannot believe you are going out....I remember leaving full shopping carts because i couldn't take any more shopping....can't you buy some of those good frozen dinners?? we do what we gotta do. Please be well ... hoping to hear good reports soon.
Tina - I didn't know about the bird count - I was away all week end but we have been feeding birds since the fall....I love it....really is healing to watch.
Granny - I am jealous....it finally gets nice and I am in Buffalo. Brrrr. Sun was out, but still too cold.
I said bye to my son and will be flying home in a few hours....then right to work.
My youngest little grandaughter (13 months) is in the hospital for respiratory infection. She has to have IV, oxygen, nebulizer, and she is not happy. I am so sad that I was away and cannot help out with visiting baby and caring for older sister. And now I have to work....wish I could retire. Life is too short to spend it working.
Am off to sleep.... 4 AM wake up.
HUGS to all tonight.Joan

Aww Joan sorry to hear about your little granddaughter sending prayers and hugs for her quick recovery.
Granny kudos to you for getting out and walking on a beautiful day. If I did that here my neighbors dogs would eat me alive. That is more than one neighbor too!! I live in the country and we have a leash law however, many do not think they have to abide by it since we live outside the city limits. It really urks me that we can't even walk up and down our road or ride a bicycle without being chased by a dog. They will even at times come into our yard when we are walking our small dog as if to chase you. This is why I leave the dog walking to my hubby. It does no good to call the dog catcher for the county the neighbors brother lives next door and he is the dog catcher for the city and is aware of everything that goes on. The county never comes when you call. Ok. I've had my rant for today.
Hope everyone has a wonderful Tues.

Joan - Praying for your grandaughter. hugs.

Joan - Hope your DGD gets better quickly. I caught that thing last week and I wouldn't go near my DGD for my weekly visit, because I could just see that she would immediately catch the croup and really get sick from it. I completely lost my voice and still have a slight cough.
Sending prayers and hugs.

Good evening sisters. It was a beautiful day here today and I had planned on finally getting back into exercising. Where is my willpower, my drive? Went out to eat DH and DS instead and then parked myself in front of the TV. I think I've gained about 7 pounds since starting chemo.

Judy67 - Let's get each other motivated! I have gained 5 on rads (and I don't think that is common!! not like chemo anyway). I keep saying "Just walk!!" to myself. Not working.
I finished my 26 regular rx today!!!!!!!!! So exiited! Tomorrow I start my 9 boosts.
Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone!
Annette - thinking about you....

Hawk, Good luck on your boosts. You can do it!

Hi Ladies! Hope everyone has had a great hump day we started out with a bit of drizzle but it quickly turned to sunshine. I spent the day in town with my mom and granddaughter and we shopped and had lunch. I got a couple of outfits to wear to... a job interview next Thurs!!! Yea it's the one I've been waiting to hear about since I sent my resume in back in Dec. I'm excited and praying I get the job. It's for what I was doing before at the last place I worked. Now I have to decide which suit to wear. One is a black pants and a 3/4 length khaki jacket but dressy and it doesn't button. The other is a tweed trumpet skirt, off white blouse and I can or can not wear a double breasted black blazer with it. I have black 1 in pointed toe pumps. Any suggestions on which. I'm not very good at this kind of thing and I really want this job badly. Keep in mind this is a nurse management job.
Otherwise life if good even though I have been a bit under the weather with a sinus cold.
Hugs to you Hawk on your boosts

Another Spring day in NJ....this kinda unusual weather scares me.We still have March and even April...we could still get blasted.
Im gettin cabin fever.Im leavin tonite for a few days.Gonna still try to walk everyday even around the block.I hate to walk but everyone keeps on sayin its more important then exercise.Im even walkin DOWN my 4 flights of stairs instead of using the elevator.I even started doin a little dancin in my apt.
Never realized how much i longed for my old life back....Its a slowly comin.

Hello...ya gotta show up....

Good luck on your job interview mimi..hope it works out! I think the skirt and blazer with the black shoes sounds very businesslike. Either gold or silver earrings depending on the oranmentation on the buttons on the blazier, and a nice handbag. It doesn't have to match the shoes. You could also wear the black blazier and black pants with the off white blouse too. You don't want to be too dressy as this is a job interview....just conservative. You'll do great!

Mimi, I'd go for the skirt and jacket. Good luck on the job interview.

Mimi, I am saying prayers for you to land this job!! I think you could wear either outfit. Both sound fantastic. All the females that I have interviewed in the past couple years have worn pants except for two!! I think either will work well! Practice your typical questions, "What are your strengths, your weaknesses, why do you think this job is good for you, why should we hire you", etc! Hugs and prayer!
Weather is supposed to be icy and slushy here tomorrow. Yuck!0 -
Go get em Mimi---you just go get em.smile pretty and show them what you are made of..I wish you the best of luck.huggggggs K0
-
Mimi - Best of luck on the job interview - I can feel your excitement. I don't particulary like skirts so I would go with the pants, off white blouse and blazer like Kaara suggested. Let us know how you make out.

Girlfriend---if ya got good leggs and a male is gonna interview you they LOVE to see the legggggggs.I vote skirt!!!!!0
-
Mimi, what would the dress code be if you got the job? My sugesstion is to not dress up to much past what normal work wear for the position is,

Meece this is a new Assisted Living facility that is opening up. I have no idea what their dress code is. The place I just left was business casual so I would say this place would be the same. So what would be your recommendation.

My vote: Business casual - pants, off white blouse and blazer.

Good evening ladies. Happy Hump Day!
Joan - Will be praying for your little granddaughter... LOTS....
Mimi - I vote pants outfit. Neutral & classy. Will keep my fingers crossed you get the job!!!
Exercise.... Today was a good day for me. Did a mile walk at lunch today (bit breezy but in low 60's so not too shabby). After work, hit the gym and jogged another almost 2 miles before going to Yoga. Expecting low 70's tomorrow so I plan to get out again tomorrow. Hope everyone has a great night, sweet dreams and a happy Thursday.

Mimi, good luck on the interview, I vote for the pants outfit too.
Hawk, yay for finish the 26 and good luck with the boosts. I'm all for keeping each other motivated. I signed up to do the Komen race (walk in my case) here. It's only a 5K but I need to start walking so I can actually do it. Bunch of friends and family are walking with me, it's on April 14 ten days after my last chemo. It's my celebration walk. I would like to shed these 7 pounds by then if possible.

Glad you are all doing good and the weather is kind. We got rain and wont have winter again til this wkend in FL. Mimi as for the doggies...I have a Ger Shep who is a sweetheart and my fiance is staying with me and he has acquired a miniature rottweiler which I have never seen b4,his renter ran off so he kept the dog and raised it from a puppy.I adopted mine from the Hurricane Katrina bunch, they were rescued and sick and this one got well and was put up for adoption,I just went to look and donate as I love animals. But I couldnt get him outta my mind so went back next day and paid the fees and got him..My home health nurse is deathly afraid it takes her half an hr to get out of her car once she gets here LOL,both the dogs are tied up,the GS in the back kennel anyways I walked my dog b4 I got the bc and I always carry pepper spray for dogs and criminals but if you want just carry some hairspray,it will sting their eyes and nose but they will get over it and probably remember to stay the heck away from you and yours. I mean i'm just saying....I get that problem sometimes so I'd rather hairspray them than pepper spray them cause pepper spray can linger in the lungs for awhile and its expensive to use unless its life threatening emergency. Just a suggestion.

Thanks, my friends, for all the wishes and prayers for my grandaughter. She was hospitalized at 2 weeks with RSV a year ago and it broke our hearts but she got better. Now she's 13 months - they found it was a pneumonia, gave antibiotics and she went home yesterday. YAY!!! she is feisty but so precious...I was away and felt helpless.
Wow, so many of you are getting out and walking...it is good for the soul.
Mimi - I thought the skirt but now I think the pants - you want to look ready for work. Good luck...it would be so good for you to get this.
Hawk, congrats on finishing the 26. I remember how great that felt. I expected the boosts to destroy my skin, but nothing happened. I got some color and I could see exactly where it was concentrated; but except for some flaky peeling, it was OK. I was completely healed in 2 weeks after. I was tired...
Judy, how are you feeling? How often is your chemo? I hope your SEs are not too bad.
Hey, I gained almost 10 lbs. during rads...now just started Femara and hating it so much. I want to feel normal again. Can't focus. am sad, craving foods, irritible, etc. Anybody else on Femara?
Wishing everyone a good day...sending good thoughts and hug to all.Joan

Mimi, if the pants outfit is a bit dressy, I would go with the skirt set, with blazer. Good luck!
