Glad to see so many have checked in. SherryC - how are you? I hope you are recovered from your most recent surgery and that you can put it behind you.
Granny, when the snow comes, you won't be able to do anything except rest...am hoping your power stays on and ditto on that for everyone in the NE today.
Still in bed here...up since 3:30AM....deciding if I should go to work for 4 hours.
Will check in...I have my phone if power goes off. And it charges in the car.Hi Val...are you warming up?
Hugs to all,

Granny, hope you are resting, getting sleep, and keeping warm.
Yes, I do believe in miracles. One day at a time and don't look too far down the road. As I have said before, you can't see that far anyway.
Still snowing here...just picked up the pace.
Nite all...stay safe and warm.0 -
We only got 6 inches in my neck of the woods, thank goodness. Heavy snow on our pines, hope we don't lose any. About a foot of snow at Muskegon, along Lake Michigan to the west of me.
I'm thinking of my eastcoast sisters ~ I can't begin to imagine 2-3 feet of snow. Good grief!
Hope everyone is safe & you don't lose your power.
Dang storm.
Very glad to hear from you, K. Sending my prayers & love as always.
Hey there, Joan! Now I know you wanted to go out & make a HUGE snowman, but you just might have to wait a while to do that! Just kidding, of course! Be safe.

Yes Valjean, our part of the mitten has escaped the biggest storms this year too. We have 6-8 inches, but the plow trucks were out and the roads aren't bad at all.
Granny - Ditto to what eveyone has said above.

Val I would be happy to get 6 inches of snow here in Cullman... they are saying we have a possibility of snow according to GFS models for next Sat. Hope they are right and it dips further south and we get a good foot of snow. Need it to stay on the ground for a few days too. We really need to make sure that all the bug, fleas, mosquitoes and spiders are killed off for the summer. We have had such a bad couple of summers for bugs the past few years that you can't even walk out of your house without getting eaten alive down here. My poor animals stay miserable!! I treat them, take them to the groomers which helps, but they both have sensitive skin and have developed allergies to fleas.
Granny take care of yourself and get ready for the surgeries you need. Much love and prayers my friend.

VERY proud of you, K!! Get - 'er - done !! We will all be here for support when you have that surgery, you know that. When was it again? April or something? I know you'll let us know the exact date. Maybe it can be March, give you time to recoup before early summer.
K, There is only so much worrying you can do for others. You must take care of yourself. Your body can physically only take so much & then......... well, we don't want a "& then." Right?? Right!
Renee, I know around Christmas, Arkansas got about 10" of snow, at least around Conway. The in-laws were okay with that, sure helps control the bug infestation. Those buggers need to be frozen out! When we get too much rain in the spring, the mosquitos are absolutely horrible all summer.

Granny, am proud!!! That's not easy...but I know you want to get on with a healthy life. You do so much for others...I want you to be well and happy. Little steps gets it done!!!
Renee, I never thought of the snow cover reducing the bugs. So there's a positive in my huge piles of snow. I don't even try to sit outside in the evenings here.
Val, I started the snowman and it got out of control.......LOL0 -
Joan, I am peeing my pants over here! Making a snowball baby......that is hilarious. I came thisclose to bustin' a gut right out loud & then had to stop myself because DH is asleep in the other room. Wait a minute ... come to think of it, I honestly don't think a flock of honking geese could wake that man sometimes!!

Hi - the day got away...was doing so much of nothing! I've been shopping on line all day but didn't buy anything yet...have 7 prs of shoes in my shopping bag and cannot decide which 6 to remove
I was thinking yesterday that this is the stage 1 site and I just want to remember that there are sisters here going through treatment and recovery....sending hugs and good thoughts to those of you who are in this group. Of course, we are all in recovery here....and there are times when laughter is just what is needed.
With this storm, being housebound, and rain on the way, it's kind of laugh or cry. It's mostly cry for the snowmen (and women)--they will be having a meltdown tomorrow!
Great news for me....my college is closed tomorrow. One more day of doing as little as possible....
(((Val))) (((Granny K - good news!))) (((Sisters)))0 -
How are the newer gals doing in their treatment/recovery?
Anything we can help you with?
