Sunshine, praying for you to get some relief and that the scan is clear and they find the cough is only something inconsequential. Also praying for you to keep your eyes on our Lord for comfort. We know the wait is really hard.

JO-5, prayed this morning when I awoke for your procedure today. Praying again as I type this. Our God is AWESOME.

Everyone, reach out and grab as your blessings are all around you. Just ask.

Hello sisters, just checking in. I have nothing to report. I have been getting to church on a regular basis but my heart is not in it. I am not feeling the joy… not feeling much at all but the pain. I want to be able to say everything is great but I will not lie to you. I am thankful for your prayers.

Mags, Toby is correct in we have at different times been where you are. Continue to pray (we will also) and know that our Lord has not moved away from you. Sometimes we feel alone and sad because we know that His time is not ours and waiting is so hard. Be encouraged that He is there whether we feel His presence or not. You are beautifully and wonderfully made and a well-loved Child of the Most High.

Evening ladies, finally a bit of order in an otherwise chaotic day and pass few days. Mags, do not be discouraged, its okay to admit that your heart is not into going to church and the joy is not there but that is what the enemy wants us to do. Isolate ourselves from the one's that love us and the one's we love, to distance ourselves from our father. I am glad to hear you are going even though you do not feel it because he carries us even when we can't carry ourselves.

There are so many disturbing things going on in the world right now that it hurts my heart to see what the world is becoming and how we are treating one another. There is death and distruction everywhere and people are faltering, souls are being lost and christians are under attack. Stand firm ladies the enemy wants to divide and conquer us. I continue to pray for us. Remember Job he was tested and lost everything but God restored him in everything his health and his wealth

Sweet sisters, I am so thankful for all your prayers and words of encouragement. I want you to know that even in this dry spell, my faith has not wavered. I know He is with me and He is faithful. He is the rock underneath me when all around is sinking sand. I can say that part of my despair is weeping for what is happening here and around the world. It is so heartbreaking. I am seeing the wheat separated from the tares, the sheep from the goats... Can our Lord be coming soon?

    good morning sisters,

We arrived home safely yesterday from our trip to TX and NM. We were blessed to spend quality time with the older kids, and at least some time with the grands. DH's son in ABQ is going thru a rough time with his ex...she got involved in a same sex relationship and left him. Now that he has a wonderful fiancée and is making wedding plans, she is breaking their custody arrangement and trying to monopolize their kids. We told him to stand strong for himself and the kids; prayed with him before we left...his fiancée, who is not a Christian was in tears. my DH went thru something similar so he speaks from experience. Both adult kids made a real effort to spend time with us. Overall, it was a great trip. We did have a piece of ruined luggage when we picked it up yesterday....my step daughter who worked with the FAA for years said she had never seen damage that bad. Trying to find a replacement piece now. My SE reared their ugly heads as far as moving from place to place and sleeping well. DH got very frustrated at my slowness and I had difficulty climbing in and out of those SUVs everyone loves to drive. I slept nearly 10 hours last night so our day has gotten off to a slow start.

Praying for our wonderful country, for Christians to stand up and say...ENOUGH !DH has said several times that as a pastor, he may be jailed one day because of preaching the truth on homosexuality. Humanly, that thought scares me..but I know God is just and is our protector. He has openly preached scripture on that and other sins, and had one member storm out and slam the door.

Prayers of healing, peace, wise decisions, and for doctors care....love you all...Ellen

Amen Lucy. I found it very a very wonderful read as well.

As promised a photo of Bev (Salty Jack), her mother and me as we toured Wendell August Forge today. I know Bev will not mind me sharing. She looks absolutely fabulous. It was such a blessing to see her again, even if only for a short while. Someday I will be able spend eternity talking to her. She has been and continues to be such a blessing in my life.

So with that I would like to say that often when I run, I wonder why so many women are getting breast cancer at such a high rate. And I try to think of what we get out of this journey. I know that it will either drive one further from God or bring one closer to Him. In the case of you ladies on here, I must say it is the second one. I know that it allows us to be a witness to those that need to see the reason for hope that is in us. I know that it brings honor and glory to God.

Recently, Deborah gave her testimony on Facebook on her breast cancer anniversary date and what the journey meant to her. While she would not have ever requested it, she knows that it brought her into a stronger relationship with God and a much closer one at that. She also would not have changed anything. I told her that had she not gotten breast cancer, I would never have gotten to know her as a dear sister in Christ, just as I have gotten to know many of you on her over the last few years. I also feel that way about Bev. I would never had gotten to know her or meet her had it not been for our connection here. And for that I am so thankful to God. She is  a dear friend.

I know in some ways how Anita feels, for no one knows better what women are going through with breast cancer than other women who have breast cancer or have gone down the breast cancer road. I had a friend in school who suffered alone with her breast cancer. She did not talk about it or share it. Later on as she opened up more to me, she realized how wrong it was of her to do that. She needed to talk to others but did not want to burden them with her battle. She is walking with Christ now and I see such a change in her life. I told her that I as much as I prayed for her, she closed people off to her and she robbed them of the blessing they could have received by praying for her or being there for her. So Anita....we are here for you. As a shoulder to cry on or to listen as you continue to praise God or hurt. I also say that to you Mags as well. Weeping may endure for a night, but Joy Comes in The Morning. Psalm 30:5 . This is the promise we have from God, You are never alone, for while man may forsake you, God will never, ever leave you.

To all of you, and I mean all of you; I pray for you; my spirit hurts for you and rejoices with you.

    Love in Christ,

    Char

    Good evening ladies,

I have been dealing with some things lately and finally had to stop my new sleep meds. They were not helping my overall well being at all. I am so thrilled that the last two nights I have been able to sleep going back to the supplements that I have used for a very long time prior to bc. I had a bad reaction several months ago with night supplements and my Arimidex so I was afraid to try it until now when I felt like I was running out of options. I have been able to sleep without feeling drugged up the next day. I have returned to my lap swimming and today finally got this rose bush planted that had been sitting for a couple of weeks. My yard is finally coming together. I guess it is time since July is almost here. The weather has been the delay as we have had a ton of rain this growing season.

Tomorrow I will be pursuing getting a new car. I have only had two others in my whole life so this will be fun. Then hopefully with things falling into place I hope to get out there with my camera and take a gazillion pics before fall and be fully present here as usual.

Gretagirl, I pray that your chemo class was helpful today and praying that as you start this journey that you will allow the Lord to go with you in every aspect of your journey. Praying that you can get rid of this bladder infection. You certainly don't need anything else on your plate.

Lynn, praying that your lung situation will not be anything serious. Praying for you as you deal with your chemo treatments. I believe you mentioned bone pain because of your neulasta shot. I may not have spelled that correctly. I remember hearing some people talk about taking Claritin for that. Maybe someone hear can speak to that. I am only trusting my memory from a very long time ago.

Joanne, praying that you are doing as well as possible and praying that you have figured out a way to take some pain meds that you will tolerate. Know that we are all praying for you dear sister.

Ellen, I am glad you and Clyde made it back home safely. Praying for wisdom for your pain that you have been dealing with for quite a while. Hopefully you can rule out all things before dealing with your AI decision.

Kath, praying that you are feeling good. Praying also for Garland and for Eileen. Praying you are enjoying having your boys home for the summer.

Jean, praying for your son that he will come back to the Lord.  As I was swimming today I pray for all of you and I was asking the Lord just how are we supposed to deal with this Supreme Court decision as Christians. His very clear answer was we are called to love these people. We can love them into the Kingdom and then let the Holy Spirit work on their hearts.

Debbie, Anita and Lucy.. I pray for each one of you to stay close to the Lord and for him to give you strength and wisdom as you continue to fight this battle. All of you ladies are an inspiration to me. I admire your courage, your strength, your tenacity and your faith. You are truly women. I loved Anita's remark that only half the story has been told. I say amen to that. We are all praying for you in this battle.

Mini, I pray that you will be open to what the Lord has in store for you whether that be a move to Georgia or to stay put. I pray that you will have peace now and that you and DH can be open to the Lord's guidance for you during this time.

Debbie Foots, I cannot tell you how happy I was to see you post again on here. Please continue. We are all blessed by your prayers and writings. I am praying that you can breath better. I know the heat in the West has been unbearable. Give Faith a hug for me.

Bev, mom and Char, You all look amazing. Bev, I haven't seen you with longer hair. You look fantastic. I have continued to pray for your concerns with the board you are on. Your mom looks like a sweetheart and I am so glad you got to visit for your Dad's birthday. Char you look amazing as well. I am praying for you and for DH and your nephew and for your continued training. You go girl.

Patoo and Kindergarten, I am glad you are both back and posting. You are both a blessing to this thread.

Mags, I am glad to hear from you but sorry you are going through a dry spell. I have to tell myself all the time that my faith is not based on my feelings. I think sometimes God wants us to draw closer to Him just on faith alone and not  on how we feel. It is easy to praise God when we are feeling good but certainly not so easy when we are in pain. I do pray that something can be done for your shoulder. I know because of the weather possibly I have had much more pain than I think I ever have before. I will probably be getting some PT soon after I see this specialist next week. Hang in there dear sister. I hope you will post more often and especially if you need prayers which it sounds like you do.

Angie, I have missed hearing from you. Are you okay? Praying for you dear sister. I know you have lots going in your life and are so busy. Praying for peace and strength for you.

Polly, I miss hearing from you too. How are your meds working out? I am still believing for a reconciliation for you and your daughter.

Vickie, continued prayers for you and your family. I pray that some closure has taken place for you and your family and that God is allowing you to let Him minister to you as only He can.

Sheangel, praying that you and DH are having enough energy to go through all of those boxes and that you are getting your new place feeling like a new home for you both.

Kate W  www.katebeatingcancer.blogspot.com  continued prayers for her and her family as she has been through a very tough time.

Fastwalker, I hope you will let us know what treatment decision you have come to and we will be glad to pray for you in your journey.

I do not have my prayer sheet in front of me so I am only going on my memory and that can be hit or miss. I will check and have to edit if I have unintentionally left anyone out. Lucy, your young friend who has found out she has bc sounds like she has IDC like many of us do. I know those words scared me the first time I heard them on the phone with my radiologist. As you know she will have to go through surgery to really know what kind of cancer she is dealing with. Prayers for her. So young and so sad.

I hope you all have a restful evening. God is able to bring us through whatever it is. He loves us and wants good things for us.

    Love,

    Nancy

Ladies, I just heard from Joanne. The surgery went well but pain control is a very real issue for her. It has been difficult. She has trouble with pain meds and she said it is better but has been difficult.  Let's really pray that the pain will be manageable and that she will not have to suffer with this for much longer. She has not got a path report yet. They did not have to take a skin graft from her leg so that is something she had been concerned about. They did take skin from her back for the flap.  She may get to go home tomorrow. Let's continue to lift her up during this tough time.

    Love

    Amen Debbie.

A couple of my neighbors tonight decided we would try something with the full moon. Not a great picture but you get the idea. One gal helped give a little light with her iphone and then the other neighbor provided the hands and I took the out of focus picture. I said we would make a great Larry, Curly and Moe.

Yes, all those expensive photography workshops and this is all I have to show for it. LOL

Nancy and all...I know the Supreme Court decision on gay marriage has been very upsetting. As the mother of a man living in a gay "marriage" let me give a different perspective. Most if not all of them have been deeply wounded and are searching desperately to feel "normal" and accepted. They have experienced plenty of hatred and rejection. As someone told me years ago..."You love him, let God change him." Love, Jean

Amen Jean. I always try to remind people that God loves those who choose this lifestyle as much as he loves me. It is the sin He does not love and so we need to love each of them as God loves us.

Glad you are getting some well needed rest Nancy and thanks for the update on Jo. I continue to keep her in prayer.

    Blessed Assurance

Dear Lord, You walk beside me,

    I feel Your presence there;

    Your gentle touch assures me

    of the tender, loving care.

    You give me inspiration

    To follow in Your way;

    You bring me consolation

    Through out each passing day.

From break of dawn to sunset

    I'll leave the world behind

    To travel with You always,

With but one goal in mind....

    To be with You forever

    Where saints and angel sing;

But until then, I will give You thanks

For all the joy You bring.  By  Edna Fontaine
