I could use some prayers regarding some treatment decisions I need to make. Please pray that God will give me discernment and a clear direction on the decisions I need to make. Thank you ladies. I so appreciate any and all of your prayers. Innocent

Hi everyone....I've got to catch up on all the posts.  My uncle died this week and the day after his funeral, my cousin (his son) died unexpectedly of a heart attack.  The next day good news came when my neice and nephew went into the hospital to have their baby so I'm now a great aunt and so excited.  I've never seen my nephew so happy!

I'm about to head out to my 3 month check up for blood work and such.  I will be praying about your appointment Rocket and I'm going to check back and see any I've missed this week.  I will be praying for your new doctor to be a good fit for you too.

Mini I am on the generic for aromasin and have had a horrible time with pain, insomnia, fatigue and so forth but my body is beginning to adjust.  I beginning to have more energy, much less pain and so on.  I can fill you in more after while.

I'm heading out now.  Just wanted to pop in and say hi....love you all!

Yes, praying for you Fondak that all will be well.  So sorry to hear of your family's loss.  I know that pain of grief well. Congratulations on becoming a great aunt.  Hope you get to have some baby time in the near future.

Mini, I'm praying that your treatment decisions will be obvious ones.  Do keep us posted.

Thank you all for your prayers, I will continue to lift you each to the throne room of grace.  Be well and be blessed.

Thanks Ladies. I'm feeling a bit better today - but still tired. I have workers at my house, so no nap this afternoon. I do greatly appreciate your prayers. Specifically, I am also struggling with a LE flare in my trunk, and severe pain in my wrist and my little finger and ring finger on my right hand (LE side). My fingers go numb and I am right-handed. They believe my ulnar nerve is being compressed, but the only treatment they can offer is invasive and risks giving me full-blown, irreversible LE. So if I don't wish to risk that, I have to live with the pain. It wears me down. By the end of the day my entire arm is throbbing from my collarbone all the way down to my pinky finger. I am already taking Neurontin for the nerve pain, but some days the pain is too severe for the meds to work effectively. Other pain meds don't work for nerve pain. Please pray for God's healing for me. Thank you Ladies. I love having you in my life.

    This I recall to mind

    Therefore I have hope

The Lord's lovingkindnesses indeed never cease.

For His compassions never fail, they are new every morning

    Great Is Your faithfulness!

    Lamentations 3:21-23

Hello all, I fell into a pit last week, Marybe's passing hit me hard, then I had an appt with pulmonary specialist that left me with no answers and more meds. Back into solution mode, rather than wallowing in the problem mode. Saw my dermatologist yesterday and I am all clear for another 6 months, yay! So I stayed in a hotel overnight near my DS's college and he is going to take me back to Boston today for an appt with the Center for Chest Diseases at Brigham & Women's today. I had a friend drive me up yesterday and she took my car back to the island, I am on so many meds I don't trust myself to do it myself. So I need pray that this new dr will take an really close look at my case and try to get to a diganosis or at least a plan with an end in sight.

I pray for ya'll daily even if I do not log in or post that often. I have not had my  ladies prayer group at my house for 2 weeks since my dr appts seem to always fall on Tuesdays.

I read an article in USA Today (it was outside my door at hotel) "What a friend we travelers have in Jesus..." It was about a statue of Jesus that was in front of a church by Interstate 75 between Cininnati and Dayton, and what a landmark it was for years. I guess it got hit my lightening, but is being rebuilt because it was it has been so missed. He ended the essay (?) by saying that he doesn't trust his GPS as much as Jesus showing him the way.

I'm so sorry Mac for all you are going through.  I pray that you will get some answers and that your doctors will be gifted with wisdom, experience and compassion as they help you.  I also pray for safe travels for you.  I didn't know Marybe, but a while ago  another BCO lady died with whom I had communicated several times.  I know how hard that grief and pain can be.  I pray that you would feel the presence of Jesus today ministering to your soul.

Thanks for your prayers everyone.  My appointment went well.  She sent me to a doctor who helped her with her rotater cuff and I saw him today.  Apparently somewhere along the way mine became damaged.  It made sense that it would be something like that since all my other joints are improving with the exception of my right thumb and shoulder.  Somehow it's impacting a nerve that runs down my arm to my thumb.

Right now I'm trying to get our 2011 tax stuff together.  What makes it worse is my husband has a business also and the receipts are from other countries and no all of them are in english.

Can't wait to catch back up with all the posts.  I am praying for you all and hope you will be able to enjoy your company Rocket.   Hopefully, I will be able to take a break and head down to the Farmer's Market tomorrow.  Wish we could go together Jo5 and you could tell me how to do all the nice things I see there!  I do want to start canning.

Macatacmv I am so sorry for your saddness.  I am praying for you and hope you will be encouraged as you carry on.

Hope things are going well for you mini and all that you have been facing.

Love and prayers for all you ladies.

    Love you all

Ladies please pray for my husband Jim. Hes afraid his job is in jeopardy. He just started it on August 1, and we have postponed mastectomy until insurance goes into effect on oct. 1. It is imperative that he find favor.

We prayed together this morning before he left, but you know what the word says about 1 can put a 1000 to flight, but 2 can put 10,000.

Thank you all so very very much.

    Blessings

Father I urgently as for you to protect Jim's job.  Please allow Paula to have her scheduled surgery without delay.  Lord, they are going through so much and I ask that you would make this easier for them.  Please give Jim favor in the sight of his company and hedge them both about with Your mighty army of angels.  We ask in Jesus Name.  Amen.

Thank you as always for your prayers Fondak.  My new onc appt. went well.  I really liked her.  She worked at Mayo Clinic and didn't dismiss the pain I'm having in my arm and hand.  I too have nerve damage or compression and it affects the fingers on my hand.  It may be compressed from the shoulder, but it runs all the way down my arm too.  I pray that yours gets better.  This new doctor told me there was nothing they could do for the pain that wouldn't be invasive and I would risk irreversible LE.  Guess I'll have to learn to live with it.

I'm really looking forward to having our company for the weekend.  It keeps me busy and my mind occupied.

I continue to lift you each in prayer.  Hang in there Ladies, and never surrender!

    Rocket

Thank you so much for your awesome prayer!

I'm glad you are now really looking forward to your company. I pray you have a joyous, and relaxing time with them.

It's so much easier when you really like your doctors. I like and trust my surgeon, but I absolutely love my MO!

I had NO idea coming into all this ( BC ) that there was so much involved. You think maybe surgery, chemo, even rads, hair loss, but the side effects are astounding. Cording, LE, blood clots, more cancer. Who knew?

I pray you all have a blessed day. I'm going to meet with the ladies for prayer at the church. I've been reading Psalm 27. I've read it 2X today, and I'm reading again later. I need to get it into my spirit.

    Blessings

Im thankful to visit a thread that stands strong on the word of God. Im really not sure how one continues the journey of battling cancer or any other life challenge without Jesus in theiir lives.

I know what you mean about some of the language. I don't care for it either, but I remind myself how I sounded somewhat like that before the Lord changed me.

Joining you ladies in prayer for all the concerns above. I am in limbo at the moment. I am off all meds right now. I need to have my annual before I try Tamox to make sure I don't have any uterine issues, but insurance won't pay for it until the end of Oct. They have me listed as having a severe adverse reaction to the Aromasin and Anastrozole. I literally could not function mentally or emotional on it, besides the physical SE's. Since I've stopped taking it I have returned to what passes for normal these days with the exception that I still have a lot of pain in my breast and right ankle. The breast I understand, the ankle I have no idea.

On the plus side, I am looking for work again and have some promising leads. It was hard for me to leave a well paying job in this economy and at my age, but God is opening doors. I know that I will find something that is not so physically taxing on my body. My old job would be very difficult for me to do now. I miss the people but not the stress. I believe 100% that even though it appears to be counter-intuitive, I made the right decision. We've done without some "things," and have tightened our belts considerably, but God has blessed us so much. I don't regret the decision or even second guess myself as to whether it was the right one, which I thought I might do. I see God's hand in all of this and am counting on his protection as I learn to wait upon Lord.

    HAPPY SUNDAY!

Oncologist appointment for me today. It's been two months since my last visit. Before this, I was seeing the doctor every month, so I guess a two month gap between doctor's visits is improvement. I hope that my tumor markers are continuing their decline. The markers showed a huge drop (242 to 131) in my 1st month on tamoxifen and have been slowly going down since. I'm praying for a good, long run on tamoxifen! Still nervous about the appointment though.
