    Happy Birthday Lovemy!!

Thanks for asking about me. The biopsy took 45 mins with me getting shoveled in and out of the machine regularly and this one was more painful than the ultrasound guided ones

Thanks everyone else for keeping me in your prayers..

My Biopsy has come back Negative!!!!

The damage to the right breast is understood due to radiation but i wonder why the left breast tissue got damaged too! Will have to investigate further. My nurse briefly mentioned mastectomy to me. If ultimately I had to do a bilateral mastectomy why did i have to take 33 radiations then. Tomorrow ,God forbid, if I really get a recurrence I cannot get radiations anymore. It feels so useless now.

Before you were diagnosed, do you remember how you were feeling?

I do. Back in August, I was always so tired. I'm an active person, and I found it very strange for me to be so tired. My primary care physician ran a few test on me to make sure I was ok. Then in September, I had breast pain and then I found a lump (which explained things).

Simple - thank you so much. You are too kind.

    LMV - Happy birthday!

Luv - so sorry you've got swollen nodes to worry about. I'd run it by your onc just to be safe, but I'm sure it's nothing, especially if you've had this before.

Shopgal - sorry you're down for the count. Hope you feel better soon.

BanR - yay for negative biopsy results! What a relief!!

Goldie - congrats on the clear bone scan!

Annie - thinking of you daily. Sending you love as always. xxx

Saw my breast surgeon this afternoon for a regular follow up. I told her I started losing weight around June, lost about 25 pounds in 3 months, and now it's slowed to losing about a pound every couple weeks or so. Also mentioned the increasing hip pain. I honestly thought she'd give me the usual "wait and see," but that's not what happened. She's said the sudden and drastic weight loss is the most concerning to her. She sent me for labs and an x-ray immediately upon leaving her office and got me in for a whole body bone scan tomorrow morning. All results are labeled STAT. Haven't seen that since I actually had cancer and she was trying to determine if the lesions on my sternum were mets. Needless to say, I walked in not overly worried and walked out more concerned. At least I should have results by the weekend. Blah.

BanR, great news on the negative biopsy!

Ally, you'll be in my prayers and I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say I'll be in your pocket tomorrow! ((((HUGS)))) I don't have any swollen nodes. I had some soreness in my armpit when I pressed on it, but it's better so I really think it was because my lymphedema sleeve is too tight. I use it when I fly and I've gained weight so I think just I need a bigger sleeve.

I'm still waiting for my bone scan result. I don't want to call as I'd rather wait in ignorance for a few more days!

I woke up at 3.30am and checked the news, and haven't been able to sleep since I'm riveted by election results. It's 5am now and nearly time to get up and go to work!

Strange times we are living in...... love to you all. XX

ALLY!!! OMG!!!! Have you been trying to lose weight? I have to tell you, since chemo, steroids, instant menopause, I gained 30 pounds... I started a program in July, and today I can brag I am down 30 pounds, but I have been weighing/measuring and counting everything that enters my body and back to working out. Let's just pray that you eat well, and it is just your body adjusting back to it's new normal and everything is b9!!! UGH!!! The waiting is the worse. I'm thinking of you, praying for b9 results. Hang in there!!!

Well mammo and scan over but to be honest I think this is going to be a dreadful outcome. The CT was head, chest and abdo but I have a really bad feeling that I may only be given months, if i am lucky. Had I gone last week when appointment got mixed up I would have had results today but my specialist was away today and I have to wait until Monday, which I am 100% certain is not going to be good news. Thank you ladies for being in my pocket, I felt everyone of you there with me. xxx

Ally thinking of you and hoping that your pain is only arthritis or something like that. Love you girl. xxx

Love all of you ladies as well. Thanks once again also to all of you ladies. I'm going to take myself to bed as can't seem to think straight anymore today. xx

Healing Prayer for our Dear Friend, Annie

With all humility and sincerity, wherever we may be at the moment, let us all pause for a few seconds, to collectively pray for our friend Annie who is in utmost need of His Divine Providence...

    Heavenly Father,

We seek your omnipotent presence at this very moment.

We humbly beg for your forgiveness for all the sins we have commited. We want to be truly cleansed before your holy presence.

We thank you for all the blessings you have bestowed upon us.

We now come to you in deep prayer to petition for the complete healing of our friend Annie. May your healing hands touch her now, melt all cancer cells in her body, remove all diseases she has and show to her that with sincere faith, Your infinite love and mercy will be upon her.

We also pray for the deliverance of all of us from this dreaded disease which bind us. May our collective petition be a unified sign of immense faith which would be pleasing enough for You to grant us Your infinite compassion.

We also pray for the comfort and protection of our loved ones. That they may calmly understand your Holy Will. Keep them safe Father.

    In Jesus' name, we pray,

    Amen

Cocker, there have been many times since diagnosis i have sworn the results were going to be bad - they weren't and i was very surprised. Please don't go there yet, continue to stay positive until confirmed. xo

Cocker, - I agree with the others, - don't assume bad news!! Keep GOOD thoughts on the forefront! Many of us have thought the worst, and misread what we thought were cues from the technicians and ended up with benign results. KEEP YOUR CHIN UP!!

    Hugs from NYC

    Hi ladies.

Cathytoo, it's good to see you again. Last time you said you were feeling down. I got worried. So, how's the post-election atmosphere after Trump won? It seems like the whole world is nervous except for Putin. LOL.

hello I have a question, I was diagnosed in march 2016 triple negative, had 5 months chemo, lumpectomy and now radiation will finish mid December. I see my oncologist feb 2017, for my first follow up and survivorship plan. I am paying cobra and it's very expensive but I love my plan Kaiser, planning on enrolling with covered California, can any one please give me an idea what the first year after treatment is like? Is there tests, MRI, scans, etc. I know we are all different I just need a little guidance. Thank

Good morning Cocker, I am so very sorry to hear that you are going through all of this crap again. I truly hope this is a blip in this cancer path that we have all been dragged unwillingly into, and good news is around the corner. You sound quite convinced that things are not great. That must be just horrid to be dealing with. You are very wise, but on this occasion I hope you've got it wrong. Thinking of you x

iz1999, congrats on finishing treatment! That is a milestone in your return to good health , for sure. everyone seems to have different paths after active treatment, for me, I had check up appointments every 3 months, and port flushes every 6 weeks. I had a follow up with my surgeon at 6 weeks, and one with my plastic surgeon. Post having drains removed, that was it with the surgeons. I had CT scans at 6 months out. so not a lot of appointments compared to active treatment. Perhaps others can chime in on their first year out. Keep us posted.

hi Meadow, the last time I saw my oncologist he mentioned that after treatment I would see him every 4 months, but we would make the final decision after radiation, I have my port flush every 6 weeks as well. I imagine that I won't have so many appointments, I see the physical therapist for my arm, I guess depending on what she tells me, I can make a decision about my insurance. I completely agree with the comments, having cancer and fighting it should be the only thing we should worry about, not insurance😢 Thanks for your kind words.
