Inmate - thinking of you and hoping all is well. You will be up and about in no time. Lots of good fuzzies and hugs.
KSmatthews - what a beautiful babe Carson is. Nothing like the pic of a new born to put the smile on your face. I would love another grandchild but both my daughters have told me the baby factory is closed for good. Shame!!
Luah - enjoy your trip and have a wonderful deserving time.
Christina - yes I do feel better today thanks to your good wishes. I didn't have a temp and I went to see the nurses where I work and they did a urine test for me which was clear. So that made me feel better. The thought of having to take more meds even though I am rattling now was horrible.
Sugar - I haven't noticed any problems with my eyesight as I wear bifocals now but I have noticed my handwriting is not so neat and a bit shaky. Though I put that down to being 65 although it wasn't like that before my treatment.
Have a good day ladies. Lots of warm hugs to you all. Annie

Char- sorry for your loss. I hope you are feeling better soon.
Annie - I have a big house, you can come spend the summer with me Sorry you are having UTI trouble, that can make you feel so miserable. Hope you get it sorted soon.
Inmate - good thoughts out to you!
My good thing... Spending time with my 12 year old; he wanted me to teach him to use my tarot cards.0 -
Luah - That sounds like a fantastic trip! You deserve it. I went to Antarctica last February, and I got nervous because of how much it cost, but I loved it, and after my dx, I decided it had been the best thing for me to have done. Enjoy every minute and beautiful view!
Patsfan - Thanks for the encouragement. We push through, and I'm glad there are places like this to find others that understand. It sounds like you're off to a good start with your new dr. Wishing you the best.
ksmatthews - Congratulations! He's a doll. Enjoy taking those photos! My nephew will be one in April (though chemo has kept me away from him for about 4 months). I'm looking forward to spending lots of time with him.

Cocker Spaniel.....I so love the fall. There is something about the harvest moon and the low lying fog. Reminds me of a comforting blanket. Although I am looking forward to spring this year. Planted 250 bulbs last year. They are ready to pop! So fun, since I have no idea what I planted.
Luah.....pet a turtle for me. Can't wait to hear, and see, it all. So Jealous!
KS Mathews.....he's so cute. Thank you so much for sharing. Babies and puppies!
It is nice to see the board so active again. I will have to catch up with everyone.
The best thing that happened to me today: Yeah for good lungs! Ladies, It's "Locals Only" Hooray for the confirmation on a local re-currance. On to surgery, then chemo and done!
Love to you all!

OBXK - I will come tomorrow for your warm weather I really hate the cold but only if I can smooch and snuggle with that lovely little pup in your arms. By the way your hair looks gorgeous. I hope mine comes back like that and also that lovely color.
Christina - is CYTOXAN the red liquid in the little bag that they give you that makes your urine go red. I usually get given that one first and have no problems but this time they gave it to me last and I didn't go to the toilet straight after like I usually do and it comes out red. Maybe it was a bit strong having it last.
Lovelyface - I suffer with terrible anxiety. Its awful and very debilitating. My doctor gave me some Amitriptyline to take and that helps. I worry over everything usually all for nothing but I still do it without thinking. One of my daughters tells me that if I had nothing to worry about I would still find something. Bit of a pessimist me unfortunately. I really envy people who are so positive but I guess we can't all be the same. The ladies on this site really are positive and its so uplifting and helps me a great deal. Lots of hugs. Annie

KS-He is beautiful! And nice job on the photograph!
Luah-Have a nice vacation! I love boats, never been on a cat...however you spell it! I love hearing about vacations!
Tif-I bet it is tiring going back to work! I go back on Tuesday for a very short day, but I get to see some of my favorite people, so I a excited!
Sugar*I hate to say it but I never got use to glasses! I had laser surgery finally 5 years ago and now my vision is a bit worse again, but I am in denial.....I could never wear contacts, tried but just couldn't do it.
Patsfan-I hope your mri goes smoothly for you. Glad you have a doc that likes to check things out.

Inmate-not sure how I missed your post. Yay!!!! For local recurrence only! I love surprises, especially 250 flower surprises, I bet it will be beautiful!

Cocker_Spaniel, I'm pretty sure the red stuff is Adriamycin, aka the red devil. I had AC also and only remember one med being red.

Luah - enjoy your trip. Here's to smooth sailing!
Inmate - great news about the local recurrence. Would love to experience the 250 surprise blooms with you - post a pic if you're able.
KS - what a cutie! I have never understood how anyone could think newborns are ugly. They are beautiful little miracles!
Ladies, enjoy the day!

Good morning ladies! I quickly read the last two pages and I know I'm gonna miss some folks but this is quick before I jump in the shower to go to work. KS, lovely photo - and he is precious! Inmate, very glad to know your lungs are clear and it is all local. Ann, I agree - the red stuff is the red devil. If you aren't already doing so, make sure you drink at least a large bottle of water the day before, day of, and day after chemo. I had to keep switching brands because with the chemo they started tasting funky to me. Lovelyface, I have anxiety, too - not anxiety attacks, but my mind races. Patsfan, I hope all goes well with your MRI.
Tonight I am going to see BB King with my brother. I am really tired from a long week at work so far, and also I have walked every day for the last five days, but I am looking forward to seeing the concert. My brother and I saw him at the same venue in 1981. It is a small, old theatre with great acoustics. This is part of my post cancer resolve to do some fun things instead of working all the time.

Yay inmate!
Thanks bak. It's amazing how much less anxiety I have just from changing dr's. I didn't realize how little confidence I had in my onc. The very first red flag I had was when I complained of neuropathy from the Taxol. She said she hadn't heard of that one causing nerve trouble. When I did my own research, couldn't believe she told me that. It's just been little things since then, until this time, when I just felt I needed to persue this and she told me my bloodwork was fine so no testing needed.
Snowing/raining and cold here today. Last week 70's and 80 one day-this week 30's! Can't wait until it is consistently warm for my flowers to come up.

Great news Inmate!

Hi all - I'm still a newbie. 41 years old, 2 kids. I'm in a triple neg clinical trial at Emory - on my third week of Sorafenib pill (had to take a week off bc of side effects). Will start Cisplatin chemo on April 12 (4 treatments every 3 wks), then Taxol (4 treatments every 2 wks). If I have to quit trial (had bad hand/foot last week and couldn't walk), I'll do AC-T. Planning double mastectomy in Sept. Thank you all for sharing!

Moring Ladies.
Back from vacation, feel like I've missed so much. I know I'll miss alot of people but
Inmate - YaY!! for local reocurrance and I hope your surgery went well.
Bak - So happy to hear treatment is over for you now.
Vacation was wonderful, DH was sick the whole time. Whiny, complaining, told me every 5 min he had pnemonia, I rolled my eyes, told him to walk it off. Whoops. Turns out he has a bad case of pnemonia and I need to be a little more sympathectic, although he did pass it on to me. Woke of the day we were leaving with it, made for a very unpleasant long trip home.
Best thing that happened to me today, had my first mammo since diagnosis and treatment, got the a clear. Broke down in tears on the way home.

Good morning ladies
Best thing that happened to me this morning was reading Inmates post about local recurrence. A little bit of xtra chemo and then back to normal. You go girl. Yah. Can't wait to see the pic of those lovely 250 blooms when they pop up. Not knowing what you have put in adds to the delight. Yes Inmate the autumn colors are so lovely but the winter here is very cold. Comes off the mountains.
OBXK -The photo small so it looked like a pup but absolutely beautiful all the same. I have only held one new little goat and the owner said it was ugly but I thought it was the most delicious little thing I have ever seen and was so soft and cuddly. I loved it and could have taken it home no trouble.
Mccrimmon - sorry your vacation was spoilt by sickness. You know men, their illnesses are always worse than anyone elses. Horrible when it turns out to be true though!! But great about your clear tests.
Nicole 41 - welcome. Sorry you are going through this but the ladies on this site are wonderful and will guide you in the right direction.
Christina - I am drinking heaps of water, all day long. This time around I have lost my taste. I look forward to dinner and then can't taste it ugh!. I too am working at the moment full time so I know how tired you must be. I start at 7.30am and finish at 5pm. Then I might do some more in the evenings until 10pm if there is a lot of work so its very tiring. Not really good for our health though it does keep you on your toes and your brain working.
Patsfan - hopefully your anxiety levels will decrease now that you have a new Doc to give you peace of mind and confidence.
Have a great day/evening ladies. Tomorrow will be another lovely day. Lots of hugs. Annie

I had Taxol #2 today and the Benadryl is starting to kick in.
Inmate-yipee on local recurrance only. 250 bulbs! Oh how I would love to see what blooms. My favorite flower is tulips. I would love to have 250 tulips bloom in my yard!
Welcome Nicole41. I also have 2 kids - how old are yours?
KS - great picture! Snuffle up those baby smells as often as you can - always put a smile on my face!
Good thing today - while I was getting tx#6, I ended up sitting next to a woman who was just dx with TN - our dx were very similiar - she's also stage 1 with no node involvment. She was getting her first DD AC today. We ended up talking for quite a while. I was giving her some of the tips I learned on here - Claritan for Neulasta bone pain, etc. After she left, our nurse came over to me and thanked me profusely for talking to her and encouraging her. The woman had a very good attitude about the whole thing, but I'm really glad I was able to be of some comfort.
Off for my Benadryl nap!

Can't remember if I said WOOHOO to Inmate on a local recurrance - but it is worth saying twice!

Yay Inmate for local diagnosis!! Yahoo!
My mammo went well today but blood work came back w an anomaly. So waiting for CT scan on my liver. Hopefully to rule out a random metastasis on liver. Trying not to freak but the waiting sucks0 -
CharB22 - how is your Taxol affecting you. I have to have that after chemo and why are they giving you Benadryl which is a cough syrup.
Swiftbird - hang in there. Hoping for a good diagnosis on your liver for you.

Annie - it is normal protocol to get Benadryl as part of the pre-meds for Taxol. I got 50 mg IV before my first Taxol treatment. For subsequent treatments it was reduced to 25 mg because I didn't have any allergic reactions.
0 -
LuvRVing, yep its protocol. I had taxotere and got IV benadryl too...which I didn't mind as I kinda liked how it chilled me out and made me drowsy during infusions
0 -
I had Benadryl for the first 3 Taxol and then asked to be switched to Claritin. The nurse gave my the Claritin pill 30 minutes before my Taxol infusion and I was fine. It was a lot less hard on me then the IV Benadryl. At least the Claritin didn't make me drowsy and sleepy.
