Kathy, my husband says those strips really do help.  Unfortunately, I hate them and usually forget to put them on.  Sometimes I wake up with them on the side of my face, one night I woke up with it stuck to my night shirt. I have to wipe my nose down with alcohol, let it dry then stick it on my nose.  It's uncomfortable to me but he swears they help.

Fighter, is it back for you or are you still in chemopause?  So strange.  Before Chemo I used to get terrible leg and foot cramps, they went away during chemo and within the past 2 months they are back to being terrible again.  I think I'm going to get mind back soon.

My gyno told me 2 weeks ago I was definatly in menopause and shouldn't expect any more periods.  Well guess what the Easter Bunny brought me???  Ugh I was so aggravated!

Just back from holidays and catching up on the posts here. So glad to hear the positive news from Bak94 and Inmate - you ladies rock! - and to find you all discussing such mundane stuff as sports, snoring and menstrual cramps.

Since some of you asked.... The Galapagos Islands were like another world - jaw-dropping landscapes, beautiful turquoise waters, unique birds and plenty of amusing creatures that have never had to be scared of humans, and are therefore very gentle and tame. Each morning we awoke in our cabin to stunning views of another island, then went ashore to hike, or stayed at sea to kayak, cruise or snorkel with sea lions, marine turtles, fish and sharks. I barely thought about cancer, but once in a while... I took a deep breath, teared up at my amazing surroundings, and thought, "I am so grateful to have made it this far!"

If someone can tell me how to insert photos, I will post a few.  (I tried to copy and paste a few from my facebook album, but it doesn't come across....)

Luah - I am unable to do that technical stuff myself, but I would love to see your pics. Looking forward..... at least I could take that vacation mentally.  Thanks.

luah... are your photos stored in an online album? They have to be online, not your hard disk.

If you have them stored online you can copy/paste the URL for that specific album (i.e. www.photobucket.com/galapagos.... etc.) into the "tree" icon shown here in the BC.org message window (to the left of the smiley face).

Thanks Heidi. I have them in a photobucket album, but when I copy and paste the url into the pop-up window from the tree icon here, and hit insert, nothing happens. Do I need to have labels and size them??

I was just at the family doctor yesterday and talked about all my hot flashes and hormone craziness.  She told me that I was in menopause - thanks to chemo.  I just finished chemo so not sure if it's temporary or not.  I'm only 33 so they think my period will come back at some point.  Just another thing to add to the list of ways my body is so screwed up right now.  The numbess in my fingers is bugging me the most right now.  I can't even open the plastic eggs for my kids from their hunt on the weekend.  I guess they get less chocolate that way but still - annoying.  Oh well.....I'm healthy and alive so I really shouldn't complain.

GREAT pictures.  Looks like an amazing trip.

Luah, LOVE the pictures! I'm so glad you had such an out-of-this-world trip.

I've just returned from New York, having a happy Easter visit with my daughters, and having my 2-year anniversary mammogram. The mammogram was all normal.  I thought it would be, but still, whew.

    Great photos luah

I am 43 and am wondering if the periods will return ..was told 50/50 chance. See the onc tomorrow for 3 month follow up.  Even though the pet was clear I am still nervous about the blood work.  Can't help but thing maybe it is in the one spot the Pet did not catch--my brain...hate the worry.  Doc said after 9 months if period does not come back then I probably am in menopause.  3 months to go.  Just wanna be free from worying about getting pregnant.  Wouldn't that be something!

Luah - loved the pics.  The one of the seal in the water got me "just lazing around doing nuffink today".  Glad you enjoyed your break.

Mitymuffin - way to go,  an all clear mammo. Great news.

Christina - hope your mum-in-law is feeling better. Thinking of you. Annie

Luah, great pics.  So serene, so beautiful, they are heavenly.  You look like you are in perfect shape.  You look great!

Christina - I am thinking about you, hope your mother in law is doing fine.

mcrimmon - whatever was happening to me in my body before chemo, disappeared during chemo plus 5 months, but now they are back again. Sometimes I wonder why those symptoms went away during chemo and now they are back.

I feel like I am losing control of my hands and legs, I sometimes suspect it is fibromalagia.  The neck pain is part of that same problem.  I used to get it in the mornings only but now it lasts all day long.  When I take Lorazapam at night, i dont get as much symptoms the next day.  I am really very fatigued.  Anyone else feel this way?  Sometimes I suspect it could be just low on hormones or something.  It is something very simple, but I am sure they will find the problem when it developes into a full blown disease. I REALLY DISLIKE SOME DOCTORS.
