A lot of dead soldiers. Four pitchers of margaritas. But there were 9 of us.

Oh hi GrannyD, AnnetteK, DM and Barbara, I must have been stuck on the previous page and didn't see you all. I could really use one of those margueritas, yum...it is Friday night, after all!

Hey Shell!! Miss ya gal pal. Gotta go crash and sleep off the margaritas.

shellyj43 - I have really been enjoying swimming too! I have been going saturday and sunday for the last few weeks. It helps with the LE and with flexibility too. Just nice to be in the water and moving around.0

I am glad everyone is back again. I was begining to think I was all alone Feel better now that you are all back. Looks like everyone is busy and having fun this weekend...well except for DM that is still packing. ;-)
I think I have had a return of the sleeping sickness as I fall asleep trying to do anything, even eat! I wake up about every 3-4 hours because my joints are hurting so bad that I have to move them around a little bit and then lay back down in a different postition. Other than that I am doing fine. We went to a graduation celebration for a friend that just became the Senior Pastor at a church here and everyone kept saying I looked so good and didn't look like I had cancer. I finally said "I make cancer look good" and they all finally shut up about how I looked. Guess the preditions about the world ending today at 5:00 p.m. were not right as I am still here. I am kind of rambling tonight. I think it is time to go get some sleep. ;-) {{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}} to all.

I'm glad the world didn't end last night. It can end now though. We had a huge music service at church this morning. Rang 3 pieces with hand bells and sang 4 pieces with choir. It was so uplifting and now I'm ready to go!

Not yet Shelley but I am glad you were uplifted!
We had such a good weekend with DH's neighborhood friends from CT. They came from all over and we have 7 here visiting. On our way out to dinner. Had a fun day at the St Pete Pier. For those on FB, check out the video.

I am prepared for the rapture, but not ready to leave just yet. Jesus said that even he did not know the hour of His return, only The Father knows.
Shelley - isn't it wonderful to participate in an uplifting worship service? I am looking forward to many more,
BarbA - love the video! Just like all the others you have shared. Thanks for sharing with us. Looks like you all had a great time with some great music this weekend.
K - I whole heartedly agree with you on all of that!!!0 -
I was out of pocket this weekend. Went to my neice's HS graduation in KS. It was busy week/weekend last week. End of year band concert and my DS had a solo on Tuesday, went to the Senior directed plays on Thursday. Left Friday for KS, we missed the band banquet and my son ended up getting top award for his Concert II band. Got back last night during the heavy rain storm, of course it was my turn to drive. Now I need another long weekend glad it is coming up. Did anyone get a head count Saturday to see if anyone was missing, just wondering. Our church was giving an concert performance 4:00pm Saturday that we missed too. Heard just two songs the prior Sunday and it looked to be wonderful. I guess we have to wait for 12/21/12 for the next presumed rapture (end of the world).

Was gone for the weekend. DH officiated a wedding ceremony for a son of some old friends of ours. It was so fun seeing all our old friends. We moved away 10 years ago but still keep in touch. The couple are so sweet. DH and I did pre-marriage counseling with them and they were so cute because they really listened and started putting things into practice and then would tell us about how cool it was. Very sweet, they will handle married life well.
I very rarely watch TV and DH said something about the rapture thing and I was like what are you talking about it. I am so in the dark sometimes. But maybe that is a good thing.

Well, the Mayan calendar ends on 12/21/2012 and a WHOLE lotta people think the world will end then. Sigh.

I will play any odds against that date being the date of the rapture. It may come before then or after then, but not on that date!
Sounds like our TX sisters, sherryc and mjbmiller, had a busy weekend! Glad you both are back homeward and sound. sherryc - where in TX do you live. I grew up in the Houston arrea and lived in the panhandle during Jr. High and Sr. High school years.
I am off to bed, hope everyone has a restful evening.0 -
Morning gals!

Amyjo I live in Gonzales which is 2 1/2 hours west of Houston. What part of Houston did you live in?
0 -
I lived in the Southwest part of Houston. Sugarland, Richmond Rosenburg, Pearland, Alief. We moved a lot seems like. In the Panhandle we lived in Pampa. I did live in San Antonio right after my husband graduated from Texas A&M in 1971 for about about 18 months. Then his job moved us to Lawton, OK.

Amyjo I know those places. Even Pampa. So your DH is an Aggie, does he have maroon blood?
0 -
Sherryc - That was my first husband who died from lung cancer in 1980 and yes his blood was maroon. My current DH is a graduate of Cameron University, who are also called Aggies, only his blood is more of the University of Oklahoma red than Cameron gold. My first husband grew up in Pampa and that is where we met. He came to A&M because it was as close to Houston as he could get and still major in Agronomy.
I know where Gonzales is! We used to drive through there on our way to San Antonio before I-10 was put in.

I managed to get a few pictures of the blue heron that visits the pond behind my house today. Thought some of you might enjoy a couple of them.
He finally got a fish.

Beautiful bird!

amyjo- Wow! Gorgeous bird. I bet his wingspan is huge!! Thanks for sharing!

Nice pic, AJ.

Amy jo--Beautiful Bird . Was wondering if you knew Dennis Hickey from Pampa. He grew up there and then we went to church with him and his wife Debbie after we had all move to Boerne, They still live in Boerne but we moved back to my hometown.

Thanks all for the comments on the Blue Heron, my DH informed me that it is a female and she has a nest close by that is why she comes to our pond everyday.
sherryc - the name sounds familiar, but I cannot put a face to it, maybe that I knew his family. Do you know what church he went to in Pampa? Or when he graduated from HS? I left there in Dec 1967 and my graduating class graduated in June 1968. I went to First Baptist Church of Pampa.
I have managed to sleep most of the day in my chair. I keep trying to get some work done, but that has not been a very successful project. I am off to do some shopping so maybe I can wake up!

Amyjo not sure when he graduated but we attend the First Methodist Church in Boerne with him, but he could have gone to the Baptist Church when he was in Pampa.

Welcome Cat, this is a great group of sisters to join. It is a journey none of wanted to take, but at least we have found some new friends to keep us company along the way. Hope your rads go smoothly. I finished mine in Octoer and still have a tan, the only tan I really have! A nice big tan box my chest is not the tan I wanted, but oh well. Blessings!
