Omaz - thanks for the link. These are not the exact ones, but I did find one exactly like the one she lost.  Her mom confirmed it so I have ordered it for her.  Her parents will be taking it to her when they go see her.  I think they will tell her this weekend that one has been found like the one she lost.  I am sure any of you would be doing the same thing for a little girl that called you Grammie.  Love all of you and apprecitate all your kind words.

Hi Everyone,  My son is back to his usual 12 YO pain in the butt self, so I don't  think it was mono.  Thank you God!  Now the pollen season is in full swing and the poor kid is suffering from allergies.  We had a lovely Easter with friends.  Hope everyone is well.

DM - So glad Bry is back to himself again.

K - don't know why you think I am a hero. We all are heros for each other.  I am nothing special, just another old lady dealing the best I can with BC and all the stuff that goes with it.

grannydukes-  My mom always said she never worried about me when I didn't call, knew I was busy and having fun.  When I called home every week, she knew something was up.  I'm hoping everyone here is busy and happy too!

grannydukes & DM - I am having fun and so excited that I am finally feeling like doing things. So looking forward to the summer months after such a crazy winter and scary stromy start of spring.

DH is supposed to call DD#2 to see when we can come see her.  DH did not like the dates I picked out because there might be a lot of stuff going on at DD#2's since their apartment lease is up on June 1 and they will be moving someplace else.  So I told him to call her and the two of them to find a date that works for them and then let me know.  He know my treatment schedule as good as I go and the dates I had picked out were the only dates available in May when I knew I would be feeling good and not interupt my treatment schedule or his camp schecule, which starts June 12th.  Oh well, I get to run away for a few days until they work it out.  I love making last minute plans to surprise friends and family with my presence. Innocent

AmyJo, so glad you are feeling better! Spring always made me feel better. We don't really have spring here. It is either summer or not summer. Have a great visit!

Wind has been blowing a lot here in TX and allergies are pretty bad. Hope mine do not take effect

    Hope all are doing well

Catching up on the royal wedding.

Just checking in for the evening.  Have been busy shopping for summer trips and then pulling weeds in the back yard.  I don't know where all this energy came from but I am glad it found me even if it is only for a little while.  Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

glad everyone is doing well- what a wonderful way to end a saturday:)

mjb- it sure is windy here in TX- I kind of like it though- not as hot!

amyjo- so glad you are feeling full of vim and vigor:) I have just been too lazy to pull the weeds calling my name out in the garden!

Hi all- checking in as well. Thanks for missing us GrannyD!  It's been crazy at work the last 3 weeks gathering preliminary data for research proposals with deadline Apr 30 deadlines. Boss goes on vacation next week so it will slow down some. Then there were rehearsals for Easter music and a final orchestra concert last night. I am driving to NC on Thursday and Friday to pick up my DD from college, and then I'm off to my sister's house in Texas for a week mid-May for a vaca. WHEW!

I think if we are all busy that is a great sign! Wishing you all lots of fun distractions! XOXO

Glad to see everyone seems happy, healthy and busy.  I guess that means we are on the other side of this difficult year!

annettek-  Nice photo.  Always great to put a face with the name!

Thanks DM-of course if I took a pic right now you would all grimace and cover your eyes:) I do hope we are all on the other side of a very whacko journey...so glad your son is back feeling better...never fun when they are down:( I am fighting off intermittent depression and this morning realized I just need to give myself a frigging break. Way too tough and demanding on expectations of what I should be doing...so, in that spirit am thinking we will head to Galveston this afternoon and just bum along on the beach for awhile-and celebrate health and all my new friends that I have met = you all mean so much to me. I don't normally allow anyone in very close-always too busy too stressed too too too everything...you are all teaching me what I have missed for so long...thank you for that, it is no small thing.

Shelleyj - where in NC dose your DD go to school?  Hope you enjoy our vacation with your sister in TX.

annettek - the beach at Gavleston wes always my fovorite place to go wander and just think when I was growing up in "the greater Houston area".  I really liked to go just sit on the sea wall in Feb when the beach was more or less deserted.  Is Guido's still there?

grannyD - the energy level is still holding and I am running away for a mini vacation this next week before my next treatment on Friday that will zap me again for at least a few days.  Then I have a conference in Myrtle Beach the 13th - 15th.  Then I am sure I will need to stop and rest for at least a few days.

Hope everyone has a great week. I may not be on much as I plan on being busy just having some fun with a girl friend.

AmyJo, have a great time with your gal pal! Granny, I loved the dessert. It was called Eton Mess and it was divine. And I ate every bite. Annette, hanging out at the beach always goes a long way toward clearing my mind. Enjoy! DM, glad you have been staying a good kind of busy! Shelley, how was the concert at Bok Tower? Have a great vacation! MJB, hope you recover from your race. Thank you for participating.

I am back from my mini vacation.  I had a wonderful time in NYC with Karin.  Her Mother's Day Show and Sale was a success.   The other designers that were there were very talented ladies and very sweet too.  It was great to spend the day just visiting and hanging out with them.  I got to meet so many new people. Then we spent the evening eating Purivian food and visiting with her DH and DS.  She has an amazing family and life filled with love and laughter.  So glad I got to finally meet her and spend time with her. We managed to get in a little shopping since I left my jacket at home and it was cooler there than I was expecting. She has a website with her baby items and she will be adding her new all natural line of soaps and creams.  They are wonderful and you will have to try them and not just take my word for it.  They are so moisturizing and yet not greasy at all.  And the fragrances are wonderful and yet they do not overpower or compete against any other fragrance you want to wear.  Wonderful!  http://www.karinalexis.com/

Hope everyone is having a good week.  Amy Jo

amyjo-  I miss you already!  Ladies, our Amyjo is even more magnificent than I thought; kind, beautiful, funny and no nonsense.  Her surprise visit was so very special.  My son announced today that he thought my friend was really nice and interesting.  I think it had to do with her total knowledge of technology, Ipads and geekiness! Glad you bought that pretty red raincoat Amyjo, bet it came in handy today!

Karin - Love the red raincoat!  And yes, it has already been very useful.  I still think Bry needs and iPad for his birthday. He is an amazing boy and so very smart.  Miss you too. So glad we finally got to meet face to face. You are so talented and pretty too. I love your attitude and outlook on life.

I am off to get a bath and then to bed.  Going to try another new fragrance of the soap tonight.  Lemongrass and see how DH likes this one.  He loves all the others.

    Night all, Amy Jo

amyjo-  Don't get me going about that Ipad.  That is all Bry has been talking about.  You know my boy has his head in the stars, planets, black holes....now he wants to track them with your Ipad!  Hope you enjoyed your bath....maybe with DH!!  You two are my best test marketers!

annettek-  There will be many more opportunities for NYC!

DM - You might can find a deal on one of the original iPads now that the iPad2 is out!  I am seriously considering getting and iPad2 and if I do I will be selling the one I have now at a bargin price.  Still thinking about if the addition of the camera feature is worth the price.

annettek - maybe when I come back to TX to take care of some of my Mom's estate stuff I can stop for a visit with you.

Got my Aredia today so I am feeling a little tired and yucky tonight.  I did talk with my MO about changing the schedule of treatments so I can go ahead and make my plans to visit my girls this summer.  And he said that would not be a problem so we have moved the one for May a few days and that makes the rest of the ones for the summer fall at better times for my travel plans. So next weekend I will be in SC, June I will be in OK, July in CA, Aug. in TX and Sept in MO.  TX trip may be in Sept or Oct, it depends on some legal stuff.
