It's been a long time since I ha e checked in. Wow on the new format. This will take some getting use to! I'm down 40 pounds since my last post. I had given up on losing weight. Tamoxifen made me so heavy! I was switched to Anastrozole in August last year after my labs were post menopausal 2 times on a row. I have steady lost weight since. My oncologist was concerned about my weight loss and I have been put through a series of scans and test. Everything looks good but the CT scan. Apparently my endometrium is 10 times thicker than it should be. (1.25 cm and normal for post menopausal is <5 mm) MRI meat weeks and I have been referred to the women's cancer center to a GYN cancer specialist for more tests.

Yikes, I hope the tests come out okay, vargadoll. 40 pounds is a lot, hopefully it's just because you changed medication!

I have NOT been good & really truly need to get back on track as DS is getting married the end of September!

I was where I wanted to be until all the holiday eating….. I need to lose about 5 pounds to get back to the pre-Christmas weight (which is probably not going to happen because I will be on vacation next week!).

I admire and envy both of you that you are in such good control of your weight. I keep gaining every few years. I will try to do better.

Our thread has gone silent. I recently rejoined WW and am committed to losing 15 to 20 lbs. It's bad timing with Thanksgiving and Christmas coming up but I will do my best to minimize the "damage." From past experience I realize that the first 3 or 4 lbs of weight loss is water from all the trips to the bathroom. Still I feel some success at dropping 4 lbs so far. Additional lbs should be real weight loss.

DH and I have a pre-dinner cocktail ritual and I have stopped having my vodka martini and limit alcohol to one generous glass of wine. A friend of mine said, "Wow, you are serious!"

I'll hop back in. I need to lose about 10 pounds. Too much of both stress eating AND having fun overeating. Sigh…..the story of my life!

I'm happy to report that I'm down 5.5 lbs this morning after joining WW 12 days ago. I'm encouraged to continue. Eventually I hope to be able to wear clothes that had become too tight with weight gain. I'm already mentally prepared for the challenges of Thanksgiving that include a road trip and being a houseguest.

Good job! I just got back from a cruise & am starting today!

The road trip and Thanksgiving in Florida sent the scale back up to my starting weight. At least I had the consolation of knowing the number would have been higher if I hadn't taken off the 5.5 lbs. I went back on WW yesterday and this morning I was down 2 lbs. So 3.5 lbs to go to pre-Thanksgiving weight.

    The effort will continue!!

I'm down only one pound. The Holidays make things rough!!

This morning I'm back to a loss of 5.5 that Thanksgiving wiped out. Tomorrow night is a Christmas dinner buffet guaranteed not to be designed by WW. Then another Christmas dinner on Saturday prepared by one of my brothers. So more food challenges.

I was perfectly good all week and was down 4 pounds! I went to a Christmas Brunch this morning, and although I was 'pretty good', I imagine the scale will reflect my what I was up too…..
