Hi Girls, Kate hope your job application goes well. and i hope everybody is ok. the weather is going to turn to crap AGAIN over weekend, the ground just gets good to walk on another down pour. then the summer will come and be that hot, esp for you guys and i hate the muggy weather, i like cool, not cold, so my bones ache, but nice crisp sunny days. i dont want much really, just the best lol. i dont know how you girls cope in the summer there. phew. i would have to almost clothless. if there is such a word. well must go and do some work still got dishes to do and deed little four legged kids, i love them, but they are a ty. oh yea the other goat had her little kid, well she had twins and one of them died, so its a little girl, White. we had to take amy to vet though as yesterday she had a blind teat and her udder was filling up and nowhere to go, so he had to open it up and drain all the milk out, she on antis for 5 days to prevent mastitis, her udder was red and tight. the baby is soooo cute and the other little one, he is b/w and cute as man. we calling girl Ella, dont about boy yet,

Thanks everyone.... oh I'm so nervous and 4 hours before the interview I have my make up on and my hair done (looks great with the daggy tracky I'm wearing) but I want it to 'settle' and look natural and not like I'm all freshly painted. I'll let you know how I go.... Love to everyone and I hope you all have a great day. The sun is shining here and it is just magical. xxxx

Holding your hand Kate.

Kate don't be nervous - treat it as if you are interviewing them :-) You want to know whether they are an organisation you want to commit your valuable time and highly developed skills to. Just remember there's not really a question you can't answer, as they'll be asking all about you - you know what you can and can't do best.
Will be holding your hand too - lol it's going to be crowded in that interview room isn't it!?

Hi Girls. Well all your positive vibes paid off...... I GOT THE JOB!!! The interview was pretty intense and I really didn't have the hands-on relevant experience some of the applicants had, but I guess they could see my potential for that shortcoming and also my nature was going to be a great fit, so then and there they offered it to me. I will be working 9-3 Mondays-Wednesdays and down the track it will probably increase to 4 days a week. The main role is running all their volunteers programs. I will be devising some and deliver training and I will look after the other staff. There are only 7 in total so it's a small but apparently a cohesive team. So thank you everyone... I feel that I am about to embark on normalacy again and the next phase of my life.

Yahoo!!! Well done Kate!! I just knew you could do it!! Woohoo!!!!
No probs with getting the time off for Brizzy?? Sure hope not.
That reminds me I must get busy and book my ticket. Can't forget to do that!
Love n hugs. Chrissy0 -
.... ah I forgot about Brissy! I was just a bit gobsmacked about being offered the job on the spot, but I'm sure it won't be a problem, they seem very flexible.

Sounds wonderful & I'm sure you'll do them proud!
Booked our European holiday today ..... Flying to London, driving around England (my birthplace) & Scotland, flying to Paris & then Venice, then off to Germany for a 'romantic' river cruise back home in time for my next scans.......
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend:)

Kate, fantastic news. Well done!
Kazzie, when do you leave on your trip?0 -
Congratulations Kate - that is awesome news
Hope your goat gets better Midnight - I used to have a few boer goats many years ago and I loved them dearly. One of my ewes had a swollen, red teat for a while and I couldn't help but sympathise with her (my other half keeps reminding me that we are 'proper' farmers and can't take all our stock to the vet !!). I usually treat all the injuries and ailments myself but when I looked at her 'breast' I ignored him and took her to the vets !! Fingers crossed for a quick recovery.
It is wizard of oz windy here (and meant to be for the weekend) in the Southern Tablelands which is unfortunate as it's a friends wedding tomorrow but I think I'd rather be spending the day inside. Hope the weather is nicer where you all are.

Hi Annemark, Im in a similar position as you. I have had two surgeies to date and my BS wasnt able to get clear margins yet again so i am going in to have a 3rd surgery. This time yet another lumpectomy plus node dissection. I am yet to meet with oncs the week before my op to discuss tx. I am hoping i can get further advice on whether to have lump or mas. done this time as im told by bs that my chances of getting a clear margin are alot less each try. (although a lump is what she is suggesting again).
Im very new to this and have 3 girls, the 2 youngest being 2 & 1.
Please let me know how you go, I will look out for your posts.

Hi Mel and welcome to agreat place for Info and friendship. So sorry you need to be here at all but BCO is great and this thread is full of great girls.
Wow! Two surgeries already and going for a third? Man that's harsh! I sure hope you get some good answers when you see your doc. I would seriously consider a mastectomy over another lumpectomy and have recon but that is your decision to make after you have spoken to you med team and done some checking for yourself. If you're pondering please don't be afraid to ask questions here and with your docs. It's really important that you are really happy and comfortable with the end result.

hi ladies
seems like i wont be getting any more income protection money. i was able to get a raise in my centrelink payment so things should be less of a struggle now. got a call about a job the other day they were asking about my experience etc and they said they would get back to me even if i didnt make the shortlist but i havent heard anything. will call on monday to see if they have made a decision...it was on thursday and they said it would only take a day. Maybe i will give them one more day before i followup.

Oh Melp good luck on that short list at least! Thank goodness Centrelink has come through for you and upped their payment. There is nothing worse than the stress of money worries.

Hi all
I've been on this site since February and posted in other forums but not this one, have been reading this one and feel that I know you all pretty well. I think I haven't posted on this forum as I keep thinking that I won't need to keep looking at cancer websites but like you all I still do.
I live in Perth and was diagonosed with breast cancer in Feb this year, I found a lump and went to GP and then had mammo and ultrasound. I ended up getting a mastectomy on left breast ( hopefully reconstruction soon) thankfully it hadn't spread. I had 5cm DCIS with 3mm invasive so just caught it in time, am now on tamoxifen and feling like an old woman with some of the SE's.
I am glad that I finally posted as from reading your posts I can see that you are all such nice ladies.
