Hi all and thanks for the welcome

I have had a busy weekend, worked Saturday morning then went out for tea sat night then went to the casino as my Brother-in-law is in a band their. Didn't get home until 12.30 am, late for me, I'm usually in bed at 10pm !!!

Then tonight had family Tea as it is my neice's 5th Birthday and my Brother has been over from Queensland and is going back tomorrow. Great weather here I think it got to 27 today, was great weekend to get all of my washing dry !!!

I have got an Auntie and cousins in New Zealand I haven't been there myself but Mum and Dad have, they said it's a beautiful country.

Hope you all have a great week.

LOL Karen, we'll be right mate.

Suzie, I dont care where we meet up so long as we do. Last time I was near Riverside was when it had City Rowers nightclub there haha. Bet thats been gone a long time. If Riverside has nice places then its fine with me.

I don't really know much about Riverside, it's just that Cafe (Club) 21 at the Casino is my preference and if it's closed for reno, I can't see what they would have to offer.

    There seems to be:

Eagle Street Pier - The Coffee Club

Little Stanley St - The Fench Martini, Poppy's Basket, The Point Bistro

Grey St - CBD Coffee, San Churro Southbank, My Sweetopia (cupcakes and coffee/tea)

I have no idea where any of these streets/areas are but there seems to be a lot there. They are just a selection of the ones I found here:

    http://www.visitsouthbank.com.au/

I'm mindful that some may have smaller budgets so somewhere nice but not really expensive is the order of the day I am assuming?

Ladies, I looked on the web and found Conrad's Kitchen which looks like Cafe 21.

Jenn, Southbank/Grey Street is across the river, different direction from Jazz Club and quite a walk.

Sue, the free red bus does not run on Sundays.

There are certainly venues at Riverside but, meeting after 2, kitchens may be closed between sittings, and mainly serve meals, except for Coffee Club.

I am happy to go to Conrad's Kitchen if you can get there, Sue.

Racy - I had found out the bus didn't run. I can't find Conrad's Kitchen, all I can find is 'Kitchen at Treasury' - the menu looks fine - big selection of cakes :)

Crap, crap, crap.  Found a lump in my remaining breast last night Cry

Actually feels like more than one.  It feels like it's in a milk duct ?? feels like long tubular things that are all over my breast, and in one of them there's two distinct small lumps.  Also in another area feels like something small and "sharp".

I have an appointment with my onc on Friday so will get him to feel it, and see if I'm panicing over nothing, or if I need to have it seen to.

    Trish

Oh Trish. NO! Every part of me is saying, well it might not be anything.... but deep down I guess we all know it could be something. It's good that you can see your Onc so soon and will have his opinion by the end of the week. Huge hugs to you. You are not alone, we are all holding our breath and holding your hand while you wait. It's such a worry I know. But hopefully on Friday you'll get reassuring news. xxxxxx

Trish- can you get to your GP or breast screen place earlier - I wouldn't wait until you see the onc. I can't tell anything about either boob since having surgery and rads to both. Hate this crap cancer!!!

I did think about trying to get it looked at earlier, but I know I wouldn't get in for a mamo or u/s before next Tuesday anyway.  Things are pretty crazy here at work at the moment with so many people away, I'm filling in for the receptionist while doing my job.  I know work isn't important, but I only found this last night, and need to get my head around it first anyway.  I want the onc to look at it and tell me I'm not imagining it I guess.  It doesn't feel like the last lump I found, and a lot smaller.  If it is a second primary in the other breast, then I know it won't grow over night and kill me.  I'm resigned to waiting, as no news is good news right?!  I know I'm sticking my head in the sand a bit with this, but if it is then nothing's going to change, and if it isn't then that's good.  I don't want to put my life into chaos again until I have to.

Sorry - know I'm rambling a bit - my head is still going round and round in circles at the moment.

Mind you next week is going to be crappy too - going to Sydney for work on Wednesday and Thursday, then my DH is going to Adelaide on Friday for three days.  Next week isn't suitable either hmmmph

Hugs Trisha, so worried for you, but so glad your seeing your gp this arvo hun, hopefully its a cyst. The fact it doesnt feel the same and is smaller is a good sign at the very least. Fingers and toes are crossed for you and I will check here when I get back from work at 6 tonight hoping for good news from you. We are holding your hand while you wait so I hope you can feel it.

I just got back from my bone density scan but wont get the results till I see the onc on a few weeks. Nuclear imaging was actually running on time for once which as nice. Bet the onc is running hours behind as usual sigh.

Hi all, I have not posted for a while, I spend 5 weeks on a caravaning holiday in Qld with hubby then had 2 weeks with my sister in Karratha visiting her son, his partner and their new bub.

I had a CT scan, brain scan, bone scan and blood tests and all clear and no visits to oncologist for 6 months! Good news.

Hope you are all doing well.

Trish I dont want to make this about me or to detract in any way from what you are going through. Just wanted to tell you that the reason I looked for and found BCO back in Jan was that I had my usual onc visit and she felt a lump. Immediately my heart sank and my mind went to that bad bad place.  I did the mammo and us and while the techs couldnt care less about the lump the onc felt, they found a cluster of what turned out to be cysts according to the fna's they did. My mind stayed on and off in that bad place until I had the next mammo and us mid year and got the all clear with no changes from the ones 6 months before. You guys helped me through that time and we will be here to help you through this.

Telling you this to just reinforce that your results could well be like mine and you stay NED. Sometimes a lump is just a lump and nothing to do with BC.

Hope you can get some decent sleep and that the mammo and us are soon so you can get out of that bad place and on with enjoying yourself.

Anne, so glad you got such great results and had such a wonderful long holiday. Must have been fantastic travelling around like that.

Hope everyone else is doing well and enjoying the lovely spring weather.

Thanks Linda, as usual you have just the right words. I'm trying to convince myself that they (yes gp felt two) are just cysts. Will be taking a Valium tonight so I can sleep, didn't get much last night, and being over tired doesn't help not thinking about things.

Thank you all, it really does help to know you are all with me on this

    Trish

Oh Trish. Lyndal is so eloquent with how she says things and she is so right. Take your valium and try to keep positive that it well may be just cycts or one of the other 8 out of 10 things they say are 'nothing to worry about' things. Wish I was still in Canberra, I would have driven down to you by now. Anyway I'm there in spirit. I know we all are. xxxx

Trish hoping the mamo can be done quickly so you can relax again. I also had a lump in the other breast twelve months after original dx which turned out to be a simple cyst so I know what goes through your mind.

We are definitely all there with you.

    Love n hugs. Chrissy
