Hi ladies - I went away for a little while and come back to find Trish's awful worrisome discovery.  Sending hugs and love to you, Trish - I hope it turns out to be nothing, my dear.  Please keep us posted (know you will) and if I can cheer you up at all, I'd gladly do it.  I've inserted a link to my web page where you can see what Colorado looks like.  I still miss Oz something awful, but might get a chance to go back later this year, so hanging out for that.  Here's the photo: http://marnieclark.com/having-an-off-day/  After what Trish is going through, I feel rather embarrassed that my main complaint that day was chopping the tip off my finger.

Sending lots of hugs your way, Trish.

Thinking of you Trish. If you need someone to come with you to an appointment if it is scheduled when your DH is away I'm only a short drive from Canberra and wouldn't hesitate to head on up. Amanda xxox

Trisha, wish I could be closer but holding your hand from here. Will be keeping you in mind until this is sorted.

Didn't get here yesterday because our internet connection was going crazy - trying to explain to the company that it happens every time there is heavy rain!! but it can't possible be that, grrr.  It is behaving this morning so far but haven't used to phone as yet. Then last night babysat for my littlies while parents went off to Pub Quiz.

    Big hugs to all.

Thank you all - I've had a good night's sleep - that valium does wonders.

I hope to be able to sort out an appointment today, but I'm thinking it will probably be for next Tuesday where I normally get it done.  I love the radiologist there (it's in the Canberra hospital so it's free too) he's done my last 3 mammos and u/s. He's also in private practice and my gp has tried to get me in there sooner - problem is in the private practice they don't do mammos - so would have to go somewhere else to have that done then go to him for u/s.

He's the radio that did my u/s two years ago (on Friday it will be 2 years to the day) that was the start of this horrible business.  He knows me now and will tell me straight away if he finds anything suspicious.  Of course we all know that if a biopsy is done while there it's suspicious.

Anyway - hopefully today will have an appointment sorted out.  A good night's sleep has helped too - I'm starting to think along the lines that yes - 80% of lumps are b9 and these probably will be too.

You are all so sweet - and Kelpie - wow what a wonderful offer, that's amazing for you to offer that.  DH goes away on Friday next week, so all should be good.

I'm a lot more settled now, and have a super busy day at work and that will help too.  Mind you nearly got run over yesterday afternoon - my mind wasn't on my surroundings at all.

    Will keep you all informed

    Love to you all

    Trish

I'm away for a day and so much news to catch up on.

Trish, hugs again, I hope you get your radio. appt. soon. I agree it is so much more reassuring having a radio. that you trust. Fingers and toes crossed for you.

I am going to see my new onc. tomorrow. He is based out of Canberra Hospital, and visits Goulburn.  I am looking forward to it, but nervous at the same time. I sat down last night and sorted out xrays, pathology etc. as my GP printed a whole heap of info out for me. It is like having PTSD reading through it all again.

    Hugs to everyone. x

I hope no one here has lost a friend or loved on in this horrendous crash. This actually made me cry. Life can be so cruel.

Linda that's terrible news, as if these people haven't got enough bad luck all ready. To get injured in a crash when you have cancer is horrible.

I had a bad day at work today, it's lovely isn't it you just go through cancer and they still treat you like crap. Time to look for a new job I think.

Two of us awake Racy :-)

I'm just over 40 days (42) in the "wilderness" of taking Tamoxifen. I really have not noticed any significant SEs, not even any hot flashes that can't be explained by too many blankets on the bed.

Hoping this is a good sign for the next 5 years.

I have to stop taking them this Friday which is 14days prior to my surgery and not sure how long after until I can take them again. Will find out at my MO appt layer today. Will also find out how long a break I will get, if any, after my 3 weekly herceptin later today.

I visited the vet today to pick up my cats heart and fluid tabs, that's $80 gone from my budget this week. I always wonder just why all things veterinary are so expensive. Her pills cost me more than my own. ( I am on a disability pension) so my pills aren't too bad.

Hoping your trip to the vet doesn't end up costing you an arm and a leg.....lol.

Hi girls - hope you got some sleep eventually!  One thing at the moment, I'm sleeping like a baby - but I think valium is helping there lol.  Just wanted to say about the vet bills - we have to remember that they use a lot of human medications - and unfortunately we have to pay full price for our pets as they aren't covered by PBS.  I think that vet bills should be a tax deduction - then a lot more people would look after their pets properly!

I'm doing ok girls - still don't have an appointment grrr...  Have spoken to my gp's surgery though and asked them to put a referral through to Canberra Hospital where I normally go - they usually do mammos and u/s on a Tuesday afternoon, so hopefully I can get in this coming Tuesday.

I have calmed down a lot though.  It's just such a shock at first that your mind can't seem to work properly.  I'm now looking at this quite clinically - and telling myself that 80% of lumps are b9 and I'm sure mine will be too.  I'm pretty pissed off that I've found it so soon though - after my scare about bone mets in April to have yet another scare only a few months later is just a bit too much.  I don't like the way we have to live in fear all the time.

But, the main thing is - I'm doing ok and hanging in there and not stressing out of my poor little brain at the moment.

I just had a phone call from my radiologist, and he's squeezing me in at 2.00pm today for an u/s and then we'll see if I need a mammo after that.  I'm really happy that I can see him today

Thats great news Trish that you're being seen today. Fingers, toes even eyes are crossed for you honey.

Racy I declined Tamoxifen, so apart from my Herceptin, that's it for me.

Speaking of vet bills. I'm saving up for a big one $2,000 - it's so Jilly my beautiful border collie can have stem cell treatment for her bad elbow. It's new over here and our vet has just started doing it. It has wonderful potential as they take the stem cells from a peice of fat, moosh it up and treat it with LED lights then inject it into the affected area. The results can be fantastic. It won't make an old dog a puppy, but it noticably heals the affected area to such an extent that dogs who previously walked with a lot of pain, can walk normally again. Jilly limps all the time and much much worse after we've been for a walk or a play. Heck it isn't even allowable on humans yet - imagine the potential using your own cells to regenerate damaged areas. One day that will happen. It is expensive but I don't care. I'll just have to save for a while. Good thing today is my first day at work.

Trish, thats wonderful news that you are getting seen  today, i do hope you that everything will  go really and that you will be free of any more trauma with  BC and you get clean bill of health and continue life without the hassels.

Linda. i read that article, gosh how sad, so sad. poor  people. go for treatment and end up loosing their lives on the way home. poor things. gosh you just don't know, just as well too i think.

Hope everything is going according to plan for all of you and Jenn, the very best to you for your surgery coming up.

i I rang up the BC nurse two days ago and for a change got her first pop. wonders never cease, anyway wanted to find out about my blood test they did on my silly hormones and according to the  results, apparently i am still in the pre-menopausal, she said, i am still a young chick lol, yet my monthlys are gone, except for an odd now and again, is not that menopause, or is it the tamoxifen stopping them, she said, that does not stop them. so i get confused. blood showing something i am not even in the menopausel state and my body saying i am. stuffed if i know, it shows i have an imbalnce of something. well i guess something will get right someday.   if the hormones are that mixed up, will it cause other issues later again.  its a very controversal topic these hormone therapy pills.  well i have interviews to prepare for, so had better get some lunch and ring them. new perspective drivers, i have had over 30  replies to my add on trade me.  the way i feel with the present ones, i could sack the lot, causing all kinda of issues. one we have to remove from present truck run and put him in another area he never has done and the other is of sick. and we have  a feeling the  one  doing new  run is going to quit, its all of his own making too, he been a naughty boy.   so all the stress we need like a hole in the head. . been a terrible week. running a bussiness  does have its problems. anyway will get on with getting some new drivers in. and get the bussiness running smoothly.

Trish this probably wont help, but hopefully wont hurt either. Try to think that it is what it is and being on that hot tin roof is just burning your feet and causing you pain. Worrying about it will only make you feel sick the next few hours, so try to get your mind in the zone of - a/ if it is something nasty, its been found really early again and thats thanks to the track your on and all the crap youve already been through and b/ 80% are b9. Finally, you, I, all of us are strong enough to face whatever comes our way, we've already proven that. We dont have to like it, but we can do whatever it takes and come out the other side.

Gentlest of hugs heading your way and Im really praying for a nice cluster of harmless ole cysts. Did any of you ever think we'd get to the stage of praying for cysts for ourselves and each other lol? Doubt anyone not in our shoes would understand.

Anyway Trish, I just hope you get some definitive answers in a couple of hours and have good news to share with us. Im thinking about you non stop and praying for that wonderful b9 we love so much.

And everyone else for your support too.

We all know how crappy this feeling is and it's great to have so much understanding.  Don't know what I'd do without you lot.

It's good news. Yes fatty cysts. Apparently I can feel them now because I've lost so much weight. I have to get used to how my smaller breast now feels.

Thank you all for being with me, your support means more than I could ever say, but you all know that.
