so sad but also uplifting to read Karens daughter's letter. She is an amazing woman like her mother. I only knew Karen through her posts but her courage and strength to see her grandson and fight to stay there for her family have been inspiring Judy

On a happier note I ran 7km and 8km this weekend as part of a training run I am going to enter in December. This is my first run over 5km since BC as I never had the energy after surgery and onTamoxifern. I haven't done an 8km run in over 20 years!

Go Judy!
I'm crying too, reading Nicole's post. It's so lovely to see how Karen has had such a positive impact on her family, it might seem a given that a mother would of course have a positive impact, but that's not always the case. I feel so upset for Karen's husband, he's with the love of his life, and can't do anything to save her, it must be so hard on him.
I continue to think of Karen every day and send prayers and thoughts of love and warmth to her and her family.
Trishxoxo
Oh - and thinking of you too today and tomorrow, Chrissy hope all goes well with dr's appointments xoxo

We knew it was close, but yes it is so hard to accept.
I'm so glad she spent some time with her precious grandson, and she was with her wonderful husband and daughter.
Karen we didn't get to meet in person, but you touched our lives with your beautiful spirit, be at peace.

our farm helper was getting some feed for animals this morning and he was in our four wheel drive and the back wheel came off as he was driving around round about, police came and have taken the tyer, they reckon it had been tampered with and the nuts loosened. Mechancic said, there was nothing wrong with any of the wheel, but somebody been smart or trying to nick it, it could of been really dangerous if we were out on open road, caused a hell of accident.. they were probably interupted in the middle of the prank or what ever they were doing. idiots.

Oh Wow Annette!! That wheel falling off the four wheel drive sure was very dangerous! I do hope you get to the bottom off why.
Well girls I am starting to feel better....yay!! Still get really tired very quickly but I am resting when I need.......at least the anti B's are doing their thing and for that I am very happy. I finally really read the Radiology report for myself and it stated that the infection was very close to Bronchial pneumonia so I'm very happy I had a docs appointment when I did.
Hope you are all feeling good!
Love n hugs. Chrissy

Melp, congrats on 3 years...a milestone to be celebrated....
Chrissy, glad that you are feeling better! Keep it up!
I've now joined a dragon boat group the "Pittwater Pinks"...for breast cancer survivors. They are a lovely group of women...and fun too. It's nice to be paddling out on Pittwater....except for Saturday when it was raining...but I wanted to support the women training for the big breast cancer dragon boat meet in Saratosa in October.
I hope everyone is well!

tammym43, I hope you enjoy your dragonboating. I have been reading, girls, but still flat out as usual and intend to keep going. Bone scan yesterday showed progression in right shoulder ans upper arm and also sacrum, other bone mets are stable and some gave shrunk. Brain, liver and lungs also stable. So radiotherapy for my shoulder and unfortunately I have to cancel dragonboating. I will endeavour to be an associate member just in case shoulder improves. The grand daughters are growing up so quickly and mum is still going strong, so life is good. I enjoy reading all your posts and if I don't post it is because all is well and I am busy enjoying life xxx hugs to everyone xx
