Yay Mel! So glad to hear you are home and super glad your dad got someone to clean for you........right now cleaning should be done by someone else.

I was hoping you would get a bit more comfort from having your abdomen drained but feeling less tight is also a good thing.

Take it easy lovely and let everyone who wants to do for you go ahead a do whatever makes them happy because in the long run it will ultimately make you happy as well.

Stay in touch now so we won't worry too much.

    Love n hugs. Chrissy

    Mel, sending you ((((hugs)))

Carol - you are in my thoughts too (((hugs)))

Jac, good to hear you are on the road to recovery.

Kylie - I've never heard of that either??!! What is it?

Annette, I know it's hard to see your animals go to other people, we had two donkeys, a clydesdale and various chooks that we had to have go to other homes. We've been lucky in that all of them found the best homes, just as good as ours, so I'm happy for them.

I hope everyone else is going ok? It seems that we have had too much bad news lately, but Mel and Carol we are there for both of you xoxox

    Trish

    xoxo

I hope everyone has had a nice day.Thinking good thoughts for everyone.

Trish and Racy I had never heard of it either, I think it used to have another name (hydatiform mole). This is the laymans description. There are half molar where the placenta overgrows the foetus, but in a full one it is twice the male dna and no female dna. Anyway it can burrow into the womb, like a mole! Then it can spread like cancer. If her hormone levels keep rising then they give chemo to stop it becoming cancer. Excellent success rate, but no less upsetting.

Just wondering.. as this is my first mammo /ultrasound on my remaining breast, ( post diagnosis) .. what are the tests like.? Do you still have 2 views like with Breast Screen.. Or is it more involved? How long are you there for.?

It will be just like previous mammos though just on one breast. What other tests will depend on your doc.

Maybe it will be like this.

I have cancer everywhere.. Have a tickle in my throat.. making me cough quite a bit.. I'm really going to Crazy Town because of it..

Just wondering ladies.. My first mammo / ultrasound sound since dx is next week, and wondering what they did at yours..? .. Did they just take 2 squeezey -squishes ( like a normal screening mammo) , or was it more involved? How long did the whole procedure take.? Seriously.. I suffer anxiety at the best of times.. but I'm already becoming a basket case over this.!!!

Hi all. I had a chest ct scan today and tomorrow I am having a colonospy and gastroscopy. Luckily I don't have to wait ages for the tests. I am having the colonospy medication now. Yuck. Will let you know how it all goes. Carol.

Hi all. Yes the colonospy prep was horrible and I had to have a enama as well as it didn't all come out.

Unfortunately it's cancer in the ovaries and some in the bowel as well. I've had my Dad and sister both crying, I feel horrible about it. Hopefully will get sorted out soon for surgery.

Thanks everyone again for your good wishes.

    Carol

aussie, I understand sometimes it's harder to deal with others' reactions while having to deal with your own. You will need to find out if it's bc or another cancer. May not be as bad as you are thinking now. Praying that you get the best treatment for this diagnosis. We are here for you.

Shit Carol!!! Are they primaries or mets from the BC? What ever, hopefully they will be stopped in their tracks with treatment. Keep is informed as to what the next step is for you.

Just know we are here when ever you need to let off steam for what ever reason.

    Love n hugs. Chrissy

Thanks Trish, Racy and Chrissy. They told me that it's probably not from BC but a new cancer. Maybe I might have that cancer gene? Very happy with the treatment so far from the hospital. Not looking forward to another surgery though.

Carol as always with this ailment we have to do what we have to do in order to be around for as long as possible. Surgery is never a walk in the park but it can and does save lives. .......and thank goodness the worst is usually only a few days before we start to feel better.

Bugger on it being a new primary!

I hear there is a Qantas sale on till Friday. I will be booking for Melbourne.

Trish, did I read correctly that you have ceased smoking? That is great. Hoping you can persevere as I imagine it is quite hard to give up.

God bless all you ladies X.
