Racy as far as I can tell right now it's only you, Tammy and myself for sure. Mandy can't make it and neither can Jenn. Aly isn't sure and I haven't heard from anyone else yet.

Maybe if we shift to Canberra Trish, Kylie and Jenn would come in e. Sure Tammy would come too. And maybe Aly. Just a thought?

Ok, I'll pose the question. If we changed the venue to Canberra how many more of us could come?

    Just a thought. ........

    Hi all

I haven't heard about surgery yet, hopefully will find out soon.

I told staff at work today, a couple of them cried. They are staff that weren't their when I had my BC so I think it was a shock for them.

I am looking at coming but would certainly come to Canberra as I have a cousin who lives there and could stay on a few days. Let me know. I was looking at fares yesterday.

I have been away for a while and just catching up on all the posts and I am so sorry Carol, to read that you have another battle on your hands. sending you warm hugs and inner strength.

Mel, we are all thinking of you and sending our love to you.

My hives on my legs are finally disappearing and I am back on Xeloda. Seeing oncologist in a couple of weeks for my regular appointment and then organise scans. I am also over being on 60 minutes which was being filmed last week. About 10 hours spent with them filming and interviews for probably only 1 minutes worth of fame. They do not even do your hair or make up and I was also asked to take my glasses off during the interview! it was so hot under the lights that I felt my face flushing (thank you Xeloda, yes I know to stay out of the sun, but the lights have the same effect as well). The questions (most I have already forgotten), just came out of the blue, and I would have liked a "take 2" on the questions so that I could have thought better how to answer them and also I am a bit worried about a couple of the comments, but, no, they will edit what they want etc and bad luck for me. Oh well, it is all for a good cause about the Jane McGrath nurses......I will let you girls know when it is aired (sometime in September as the book will be launched mid September and it will coincide with the book launch).

    Warm hugs to everyone

Yes we need answers as to where asap girls. Time is a marching and i have only a short time to get this organized. Having to be with my DD for so long (yes I'm still here) has really put a spanner in the works.

I love Canberra and can easily get there if everyone else is happy.

I went to specialist with DD yesterday. The gyn was prattling on and on, in the end I butted in and asked if he was saying she didn't need chemo.

Typical specialist, oh didn't you realise?? Seriously grrrr.

Anyway, all good at this point. She will be monitored for 6 months and providing hormone levels stay low then she is all good. :)

Kylie don't you just hate specialist who don't make themselves clear, just as well you were there to step in and get ut all clarified for her. Glad she doesn't need chemo and finfers crossed that her kevels stay low.

    Love n hugs. Chrissy

    good news, Kylie.

Hey ladies, if you aren't a part of our secret Facebook group let Chrissy know and she will add you. It's a useful place to get messages out in a hurry as most of us monitor Fb more frequently than this site.

Mel and Aussie.. Thinking of you both..(hugs)

Chrissy.. How exciting... Not long until your trip now..

Just wondering if you ladies have the 3 D mammogram at your check ups ? Does it seem different from the ordinary one?

Just a comment Chris. You don't need International Drivers Licences. You can drive on your one. We certainly have and had no trouble.

Lucy the 3D one is just like the ordinary one.

Mel and Carol sending big hugs.

    And hi everyone else.

Hope it's a good weekend for all.

Aly we contacted RAA and asked the question. We were told the same thing but with a recommendation for getting the international one and for the sake of a few dollars I think we will get one. We just need to fill out a form, have an extra passport photo lodge them and its done.

Ok girls it has been decided to change destination for the get together. Instead of Melbourne, Canberra is where we will meet up. I still need to know numbers for booking the hotel so c'mom, time is a wasting!
