Implant Exchange (oYo) ~ Anyone go/stay SMALL?? (B cup)

It probably doesn't get cold enough where I live to notice I'm thinking. We barely have seasons. It was in the 50's (as the HIGH) this week and we are into summer! Winter usually hovers around 40's - 50's so I'm guessing I'll escape cold foobage.

I am literally leaving the house, but just to comment it has been getting warm here and I notice the "cold-boob-symdrome" I went swimming and it was bizarre how chilly my boobs were after a dip!
...and Sue/Susan, hahaha!!! you may be a little older than me but our implants are practically the same age - love it!!! Now I share my bday with my BMX date, lovely, I turned 37 that day...for the rest of time as I get old I'll remember THAT!! ...and my hub lucked out with sharing his bday with my exchange, talk about an awesome b-day present, a fine set of DD's!!! I'll never be able to top that gift!!! LOL
0 -
No, you won't be able to top that, Megan! LOL! ....now you make me want to go swimming just to experiment with my foobs!!
0 -
Brrrr I can wait on the swimming then!!! Oh the joys that go along with this journey!
And Megan those are awesome coincidences. The only thing to top twin GIRLS for him may be....twin BOYS? oooch I could THINK of having any more kids!

What?! Megan's pregnant with twin boys?! Congratulations, Megan!!0

LAGO good luck tomorrow!
Below is a link to the silicone implant news story yesterday. But in a nutshell: "The FDA estimates that 20% to 40% of women who receive the implants for simple breast enhancement will need another operation within eight to 10 years because of pain, infection, scarring, shrinking, unsightliness or other complications. For women who received implants under more serious circumstances - such as reconstructive surgery following mastectomy - the chances of a follow-up operation are more like 40% to 70%."

Darnit! I was so busy with my kids yesterday (Doctor, PSAT class, Costco) and we drove down to the beach for the weekend late in the day so I missed the whole convo before Lago headed into surgery!
I have to say though, I feel like I had an entirely different exchange experience than all of you. I was never told 6 weeks on no lifting. In fact, at my 2 week check, the PS cleared me for everything including lifting weights! She said working the chest muscle would help me! This is very confusing based on what you gals are being told. But after surgery, I took it easy and slow but never really stopped my usual routine. 2 days on meds as a precaution but I was able to get right back to my kids sports and school activities with no issue. I feel random pains now and again but she said it was nerve's rebuilding.
And my doc insists that although the saline is given a 10 year "estimate" she has lots of patients who are well beyond that with no problems. I can't wait to go swimming to check the temp thing out but I just remember how bone chilled I was for the first weeks after the bmx. The wind would rip through my body and I swear my spine tingled. I'm so happy to have the cushion of silicone to block the outside temp's again.
And the PS said no wires until I have feeling below which to me meant I'm good to go so I'm wearing them. But that is only to hold things in place. Thanks SueDee for the sports bra recommendations. I'll head over to Kohls at some point.
One big issue that bugs me is that any pad on the bras sits below my breasts which makes me feel saggy. It doesn't push the girls up like in the 'ol days. The implant placement looks fine on the naked self but not so good in some bras. I was able to wear so much more with my TE's in the way of halter tops and such. I feel like I need a bra now but the strapless bras I've tried feel like they are pulling my breasts down which is a bad thing.
Sorry I'm so long winded again!

LOL - Sue Dee - I guess that's gonna stick now!!! Sandy I tried on a dozen different brands and got a dozen different fits. I think its trial and error to find the perfect one on you...which is why there ARE so many different brands. Im just really happy that the Lilly of France ones run small in the band so I dont have to go to Fredericks of Hollywood to find bras from now on!!! LOL!!
LAGO - thinking of you!!!!

Lago, What's the word? How are you doing?

I'm fine. I'm a little sore and swollen as expected. I'm sure I will get even more black & blue in the next few days… looking like I was beat into some gang. My PS definitely poked around looking for fat for grafting. The nurse told me yesterday he couldn't find enough fat so I'll probably have to do more during the nipple reconstruction. Hard for me to believe all that bulk on my thighs is muscle.
Still battling the big C but things are slowly starting to move. If I drink anymore orange Metamuckcil I'm going to float away.
Thanks for asking.

Lago good to hear from you! And congrats on getting past that heavy front door!!0
-
Great to hear you're humor again, Lago! Interesting about you not having enough fat to use. It gives my PS's comments credibility. I honestly didn't believe her when she told me I might not have enough to fill my ripples and divets. In my case, she claims the extra bulge around my middle is extra skin from 4 pregnancy's. Whatever!!
Hang in there and don't forget to be eating fruit, fruit and more fruit!
0 -
SandyBeach I never had kids so he can't use that extra skin excuse on me.
Right now I feel like Violet again. I don't think I've been this swollen since chemo in my belly. Any one else get this after surgery? Guess he did pole around quite a bit to try and find some fat.

Lago well isnt that the double edged sword when the PS says we dont have enough fat for grafting. Do you kiss him or slap him!? LOL I didnt have enough for diep for two boobs either. Oh well.
So my mx side's swelling is down...poor thing is all hamburger bunish now. And its cold. And it has ripples. All of the things that everyone warned me about has happened in the past couple of days. It looks like someone stuck an implant under my skin (oh wait, they did)!!! My left (BA side) is still taught and warm and torpedoish and sensitive. I have two different girls today!
I cant wait to see the PS this week....Ch-ch-ch-ch-CHANGES!!!

I didn't have enough for diep when we thought I only needed one boob My unveiling is tomorrow morning. My expectations are low.0
-
SueDee, I can't wait to hear what your PS says either. I had such high hopes for a revision of sorts when I went back in and my PS told me I was doing great. Sure, rippling, divets, and perhaps a little low for my liking compared to my old high ones. I couldn't help but tell her, "Well, it's better than wearing prosthetics!".
Lago, you mention swelling but are you also in pain?
The one thing that I will insist on getting fixed if it doesn't smooth out is the large, twisted knot at the end of my stitches. It looks like an off center nipple through shirts!

BTW, while sitting on the beach this weekend, I was able to study the boobs of womankind. I never realized how different we all are! Some high, some low, some wide, some close, some big, some small. So all of us are within range and everything is normal. I keep telling myself that over and over and over. Almost makes me feel better!

SandyB I'm sore but doing much better every day. I haven't taken any Tylenol today. I just wish the bloat would go away. The big C is still an issue but things are moving… at a snails pace though. Hope that wasn't TMI. Not sure if there is TMI on this forum0
-
SandyB (or is it SandyD?) - In a bra I am fine right now. The hamburger bun looks a cup smaller though because of the swelling going down (and the left one sticking straight out still). I bet looking around at the beach really helped you put things in perspective.
When I had my TE I would say to my friends that one of the drags of the TE was being so uneven and every friend would say "yeah but who is?"...I would always think "hey, I used to be!" but wouldnt say it.
Lago - glad youre not in much pain - thats great news. And food luck with the unveil!!!
0 -
Did you mean "good" luck or "foob" luck.
Hey I was pretty even too until this 6.5 cm tumor grew in one of my breasts. Still I didn't look that uneven.

HA HA!!! I havent had my coffee yet!!! Im dreaming of breakfast!!! GOOD luck with the FOOB unveiling!!!
And see? I didnt think being even that THAT weird!!! Hope we both get there again!

SueDee, you're going to be the "go to" girl for all implant questions! I'm curious how they will balance you out. I see now how differently I am shaped with the implant vs. my pliable, old a-cups. I could really make those babies rock in a padded bra! All fake but my hubby was still appreciative. (Aren't men funny like that?)
Lago, I know you are doing everything right as far as the big C and as long as things are moving you should be okay. Are you taking a stool softener? I made sure to do that after a friend ended up with anal fissures post surgery due to her own big C. It took forever for her to recover from that one and she was in so much pain! Limit your dairy and eat lots of fruits and veggies. They're easy to digest and will move through your system easier. Broccolli, for example, is a good one because the fiber will help the compacted stool loosen and move out of the body easier.
And are you up for a little walk around the neighborhood? That might help too.
Sorry to get so clinical!

I'm doing Metamucil, doubled my probiotic, eating dried apricots, salads for lunch, dinner had included broccoli or Brussels sprouts. But yes things are finally moving today and not a challenging. I do have Colace. I took one but then looked at the directions and it said "take as needed". WTF? I was ready to down the entire bottle.
It's pouring rain. No walking around the hood. I'm not sure if I'm cleared to do that yet. Will find out in about an hour at the unvailing.

Lago ~ Congrats on your successful e-day and your moving bowels! Hope your unveiling was better than your expectations. And I would think you are "cleared" for walking. In fact, I would think it would be encouraged to get you up and moving after surgery...I know they told me to. And congrats on being so lean he couldn't find any fat on ya! You must have a really low BMI!
Sandybeach ~ Funny you mentioned about checking out the boobs at the beach. I've been doing that alot since BC and you are so right. We are all SO different. And I'm sure it's even more apparent at the beach when there is less hiding behind clothes and padded bras. Funny how a lot of us expect them to be planted on our chest just right..not too far apart..not too close..not too high..not too low.
SueDee ~ Chhhh..chhhh..chhhhanges indeed! Those darn ripples! It does make sense though...like you said...it looks like they placed an implant under the skin...because they did! I could see the appeal of the gummy...but I did hear it's not as "real" feeling. Sigh. So is the rippling noticeable when just standing? Or do you have to bend over to see it? I can see mine a little just standing, in certain lighting. Will be very curious if the FG sessions will make a big difference. Technically I could squeeze in 2 more after the one in July if I need to. Never thought there would be an advantage to being fat!!

Susan OMG you are not fat....sheesh! As for my rippling...sort of comes and goes right now. When I take off my bra I can see them but after smoothing them a little, they are less apparent. Part of the changes. I dont see them today.
My new Chantelles finally came today. Boy you can totally tell the difference between a 30 dollar bra and a 60 dollar bra!!! I love it but my lack of nipple on my mx side is totally evident. I havent decided if I will keep them because its alot of money to discover later that they dont drop and fluff to this size AND I would have to fluff to make up for the nipple if I do keep it. But OH does it feel so GOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!
I took pix today and will post them in a few minutes. By the way!
Lago - excited to see how you feel after the reveal!

Right one is a little squarish on one side but he had to do extra work there so It's swollen. Overall I think they look pretty nice. I'm about the size I would be with my old boobs in a push up bra. It will be interesting to see once they put me in a bra what I really look like. My PS doesn't use compression bras. I just have a compression band on the upper pole. The later I guess he puts the band on the lower pole.
The nurse said over the 25 years or so he has switched a few times regarding the bra. His feeling is the compression bra can limit the blood supply which isn't good for healing. Interesting that everyone had a different approached. I'm just happy not to be in a black bra although I do have this white band pretty high up wrapped around my arm pits).
I did get the style 15 natrelle/allergan 397cc
(I may repost this in the other thread sorry for the repeat.)

Susan, I'm so eager to hear how your FG turns out. I have a couple of very deep ripples in the cleavage area. I'd love just to get those fixed since I can now see them when I'm standing tall rather than just when I'm bending over. They show in some of my shirts since they run pretty high on my chest.
But when I look at the rest of my body, sometimes I wonder if it really matters. The imperfections match my vericose veins, big ankles, etc. You know what I mean....

varicose veins, big ankles, not enough fat… Sandy B are we twins? (I'm the older one by 3 years).
Mostly spider veins but I do use this that makes them less noticeable

Sue ~ I hear ya about the wonderful feel of an expensive bra!! Who knew?! (Did I mention I've boughten TEN on ebay...my hubby is happy , yet concerned at the same time! lol! ) I will have to go check out your girls..I'm sure they look fabulous!
Lago ~ I've heard of the "band" across the chest thing before. Not very often on here though. I wonder why that is? How long do you have to wear it? So it's purpose it to push the foobs down?
Sandy ~ I love that! The imperfections of the foobs match the rest of our bodies!
