My avatar is from the old Twilight Zones. I felt like that at the restaurant yesterday especially since it was right after chemo and that waiter monster.

Today I am surprised that I have energy. I have accomplished a few things around here. Maybe it's the Zometa that kicks my butt.

    Hugs

Linda - TWO HOURS?  My onc may run 15-20 mins late but two hours is seriously rude.

Happy Anniversary luvmygoats!  37 is a lucky number, and today (March 7) is 37 day.

Veggy, I recognized your avatar from TZ, "Eye of the Beholder" a powerful message.

The fire is toasty, the hot chocolate is yummy, and here the treats have no calories!

Veggy good job following her around and getting your gift card too.  Well deserved.

Badger - oh yes, DD delivered the papers to the box by the road, but if they did not have the area shoveled she was winging them out the window into the drifts.  Of course this is a 28 yr old who recently rolled two vehicles in three mo time.  Came out with a bruise once.  So she is not keen on getting stuck, going off road or anymore rolls.

Will be in 50s here by Sunday.  Dog will be washed.

Happy anniversary Luv, and many many more. The kidding sounds exciting working with new life, but recognize too well when you mention the creaking bones. The fire should help.

Veggy , yes put that mask on for the STUPIDS.

Badger, Linda, Jo, Leah and anyone I missed, cuddking up by the fire. The snow is falling ,but the fires warm, and the butterscotch schnapps is purrfect. :)

Badger, I actually asked the chemo nurse to run the zometa over an hour as I had read that a slower infusionn will lead to fewer SEs, and she is wonderful - tells me I am the boss - the other hour was the delay in getting the zometa from the pharmacy, and then running in the extra fluids (wide open, still took about 15 mins) and then some gab-time - she is a hoot and a half, I was her last patient I think, so she was just winding down.  I really didn't mind, it was just a very long day.  And I am pretty much recovered.  AND I didn't have any SEs from the zometa, which I am thrilled about as it seems the first one is the one that usually causes most SEs.

Steroid injection has not kicked in yet, so am still in pain - throwing my BS in again (actually, I do like her, just get aggravated about this stupid arm pain that is due to a cut nerve that we discussed BEFORE surgery and I TOLD her DO NOT CUT THAT NERVE and she said she would try.... apparently she either couldn't see it or it forgot about it .... ), so maybe just tossing in the pain and not the surgeon ...

OK, out to do my walk, pack for a trip to San Antonio, will check in with you all soon.  Keep the homefires burning, along with this gorgeous bonfire with all our troubles going up in smoke.

Linda, chemo nurses are the best.  IMHO some of the world's unsung heros.

Sorry about continued pain, yes let's toss it in and watch it burn.  Safe travels!

(((Linda))) I hope your pain is responding to management....and may your trip to SanAntonio be a nice change and a good time for you.  (I love it there)
Veggy, I do remember the TZ episode so well...glad to hear you have felt more energetic.  One day at a time...hope tomorrow is good too.
Today (Saturday) is my anniversary - 45 years (child bride here)...and as I said on another thread, sometimes i feel like an old tire with worn tread but still spinning around.  We were going to travel upstate and stay at West Point but it turns out it is parents week end for the cadets and I do not want to be in a crowded place.  We will probably drive out to Montauk Point - the end of Long Island - hike a little and take photos...then have dinner later.
I want to throw in the TWO parking tickets in two days that I got at the college...am appealing the 2nd one ($150).   The snow was falling and covered the parking area...cars were not exactly in the lines...there were 2 spaces left and I swung wide to leave enough room for a lady who was pulling in behind me...She got to park and I got the ticket.  Apparently, I was 2/3 out of the space....No good deed goes unpunished....

Granny - Time to clean out that damn purse of yours so I can climb in.  You have so much crap in there - hehehehe.  Of course, I will be there on Tues.  Try to stay calm.  Everything is going to be just fine.  Sendiing wishes for a speedy recovery.

Granny - In your pocket for Tuesday.  Bringing my tissues so I don't sneeze or snot on anyone.  I'll bring some yummy banana bread.

Thanks for the anniversary wishes.  Badger - Didn't know 37 was a lucky number.  Is it anything with 3s & 7s??

Goaties doing better but will have to raise a bottle baby doe.  Done it b4 but not my favorite thing to do.  Her momma believes she is an alien every time I take her out to nurse (have to tie up momma).  I raised one who's momma died during a C-section.

The fire feels good tonight.  Throwing in still aching back, knees.  And this rotten runny nose.  I need to buy stock in Dayquil/Nyquil.

Night all.  Don't forget to set your clocks forward.  DD (almost 26) didn't know it was time change weekend.  She might have an alarm clock but bet she instead uses her phone.  Would she have even noticed; bet not maybe until late to work Monday morning.  Think she has no plans for tomorrow so no need for correct time.

luvmygoats, IDK the origin but one of my college friends always celebrated 7 Mar as 37 Day.  Back then, it was a good excuse to party but the tradition stuck.  All these years later, I still think of 37 as a lucky number and celebrate 37 Day on 7 Mar.

Badger, that's cool that 3/7 is the 37th day.  Did I know that?  Hey, if you are getting rain, that usually means it's on the way to the east.  Today was a stunning day after the storms.  We stayed near home and took a hike to the inlet where the ocean comes in to the bay.  There is still a breach in the dune from Sandy so there was much more water than usual.  Plus the tail end of Saturn along with new moon caused huge waves today.  I took dozens of photos...the seals came out all blurry....but the rest are nice.
DH & I planned dinner out and my DDs #2 & #3 found out and they paid ahead for our complete dinner!  It was a very thoughtful surprise.  All in all, a fairly quiet day.  Had a new bird at the feeder today - little house wren (red head)
Luv my goats, thanks for the clock reminder.  The cell phones should automatically update the time overnight.  I use mine for alarm every day.
(((Granny))) you know I've already sneaked into your pocket and will be back there soon.  I'm making some magic muffins for everyone....they taste delicious and will be low fat and carbs and will NOT cause weight gain ever.  We'll try to clean up the crumbs.
Hey good news...the week end is only half over.

Joan, any crumbs from the yummy no-fat/carb/cal treats can go right into the fire, or shall we save them for the goats?  (luvmygoats, would they really eat tin cans or is that a myth?)

Hi fellow campfire girls!  How are you all?  I have not been on the boards for a long time so I've been trying to catch up some.  I'm doing well.  My only real complaint has been a lot of neck, shoulder and arm pain on my MX side.  I'm still going to PT, but have not been able to do much yoga as of late.  But, all in all...I can't complain.  Next month will be two years since my dx.  I have an MRI scheduled on April 15th....like it being tax day was not bad enough!

I'm going to be a first time grandma this summer!  I am so thrilled and excited to experience the joy of a grand baby and of seeing my son become a father.  Life is good.

Hope you all are doing well and have not been causing too much trouble in people's pockets!!

I've been through so many surgeries between last year and this year that I forgot that I am supposed to be nervous about them. Grannydukes, I'll be calling you GD on Thursday to see how you are doing.

Sending you a great big hug!

Badger - Don't you dare throw crumbs in the fire.  Bread crusts, stale ends, cut-off ends of celery all go to the goaties.  Baby sleeping on lap and typing 1 handed.  They might try to eat can labels but no tin can eating.  They much prefer tasty weeds or bushes.  When I go to big city, go to day old bread store and buy $3 bags of bread that is smushed or ripped.  Unfortunately have to compete with pig/hog farmers.  For mine it is just a treat; for the hogs seems major food group.

Veggy - Will you be able to tell us how Granny is doing from GD's report?

Throwing in my just paid off car.  Seems the mechanism to get the key out in park believes the wheels must be just absolutely straight b4 letting them out (new in the last 5 months).  Also had overheating light come on coming home from grocery after church.  Come on - it's about 4 miles.  DH says he will check it out tomorrow.  Does not know what to do about the key thingy.  In she goes.

Luv, We hire goats to eat blackberry bushes on the side of highways. The notation on himalayan blackberries is "escaped from cultivation" - and now rampant.

hi 1openheart, good to see you at the fire.  Congrats on becoming a grandma!

Luvmygoats, thanks for info, too bad they won't eat metal, they could eat your car (JK).

((GrannyD)) thinking of you.  ((hugs)) to all
