I haven't heard from her either.  I do have the number to the hospital and her room number.  It is not the direct number to her room. The lady I talked to tried connecting me to her room and the line was busy.  I am going to try again in the morning and if I do get through I will update everyone here.

Hey Everyone.  I just talked to Granny on the phone.  She is well but in a lot of pain.  The doctor is talking about sending her home tomorrow.  She says she will go kicking and screaming - she is not ready to go home.  I don't understand why they would do that. She lives alone and in pain?  She will call me when she does get home.  I will keep everyone updated.

Just checking in after my travels. So sorry Granny is having such a rough time. Jo, thanks for updating us.

I am pretty tired from my trip, it was a good one. Today we have major stomrs and tornado warnings, so I am just resting and trying to catch up on the boards here, and watching cooking shows on TV.

Much love to all of you, and I will catch up on what has been going on with you all over the p ast week.  (((((hugs to all)))))

Two women are inches from being thrown on the fire. No longer going to refer to them as friends. You know sisters, we've all been through the mill and then some...Do we really need friends who only take from us and are only generous with their time when it comes to their own families? They're pretty generous with us about their feelings... Don't they call and tell us how annoyed they are about this or that? Don't they call to ask a small favor...a ride to or from the station...a question about how to find something on the Internet... What about the name of a doctor for themselves or their loved ones... On and on and on.... But when you ask for their assistance... Oh, pardon me! They're too busy. Too busy to return a call or text. Too busy doing whatever they are busy doing because you know... their busyness is sooo much more important... I get it! ... Now I hope they will get it too... because I am finished being a friend to these selfish women who incidentally get treated like doormats by their families and don't even care because they get joy from their families keeping THEM busy! Do they have any respect for themselves? Are they capable of being friends? I really don't care. I've had 50 plus years of friendship between them and now I could care less if they ever contacted me again. Life is good without the nonsense....I still take pleasure in helping others but from now on... Just maybe I will do things for others just a tiny bit less unconditionally because I haven't the time because I am BUSY! Ahhhh.... I see the smoke now and feel a little better.

Granny!  Welcome back sista, hope you're resting & healing & feeling better.

VR, those false friends are smoldering, did you throw them in or are they still inches away?

I think I shared that my boss is closing the place I work and transferring people to other locations.  Just for grins, I applied for another job and got an interview but didn't get the job.  Turned out to be a good thing when I found out their boss is an arrogant prick.  Feeling like I dodged a bullet!

    Granny's back!!! PARTY!!!!!

Regarding those former friends...unloading my bruised feelings must have had quite the effect... Got an email from one of them... But....before I opened the email... I realized she'd been hacked and that's why I got the email! Karma's a bitch! Not responding to them any time soon!

Hi fellow campfire girls....I have a bunch of underwires that I pulled out of my nice, pretty precancer bras.  I find that after my UMX the wire really hurts, and honestly, I don't need the lift anymore!  So, I cut a small slit and grabbed a pair of pliers and pulled those suckers out!  I'm throwing all those sharp, uncomfortable wires into the fire tonight.  It better be hot because they will take a while to melt.

Granny, I don't think we have ever chatted, but I'm glad to see you back.  I know that everyone sure was worried about you!  I hope that you are up and around soon.

1openheart... No worries about the metal melting! On the fire we have bone density machines, radiation machines and we even have mammography machines.... Including the one that missed my tumor... All toasting on the fire... What's a little more metal added to the fire... BRING IT ON!!!!

Thanks Voraciousreader....I had a mammogram machine that missed some of my cancer too.  It is weird to me that it can see some of the DCIS in one quadrant and not the calcifications in another quadrant.  If I would not have had a mastectomy, I would have not known that there was more lurking.
