Mac, it's so good to see you! Hope the new doc will be able to help, too. Very interesting what others said about massages, and I wonder how many of us have been cautioned about them by our doctors. I know I wasn't, but then I've only had one massage in my life and that was pre-bc.
Yay for being home with no drains, Leah! You're sounding great and I'm glad you're home.
Ginger, so sorry about the migraine. I've been lucky enough to never have one, but my DD suffers terribly with them about every 3 months or so. She stopped taking birth control pills thinking they might be contributing and actually hasn't had one since she stopped, so who knows? (I'm hoping being off birth control pills might have another little effect, but not so far!)
Hey Wren, purple and 3jays! Good to see all of you, and hey Alyson too. 3jays, i'll be PMing you re posting pictures. Marybe tried to teach me and I've only succeeded a couple of times. Think I'll try using Chrome instead of Firefox, or maybe windows explorer this time.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.
Hugs to all.

SUCH good info...I had no idea. Thank you. I DO get massage. I *think* I have breast LE. Of course that is not where she massages, but I did not know rubbing your neck etc .. could make it worse. About a mo . ago, I had deep tissue massage.
No more relaxed muscles!

Hello all,
I am ok , just really jittery on all this prednisone and steriod inhalers, so I thought a relaxing massage would help. But I felt pretty rejected the other day when the therapist would not give me one. But I understand the risk and she was very sorry. I will see my PCP next week and maybe there is a better place for me to go, or she will have another suggestion.
I am certainly learning as I go along this journey. I am so grateful that I have you wonderful ladies to help me navigate.

Hi girls! Hope everyone is feeling okay.
3jays I took that pic while visiting family in North Queensland, Australia. The river is the Mulgrave River and the place is called Ross n Lock and is a great place to swim and picnic. If one feels up to it, the river flows so well that riding down it on an inner tube is a whole lot of fun!
Leah yay!!!!! So glad to hear that you are home and on the mend. So glad all has gone well for you. Rest dear girl so you can heal all the quicker.
Nancy, my DD2 is a trained masseuse and used to give me loads of massages but refuses to touch me now as she is afraid of hurting me. Her hands are so strong that her gentle massage feels really heavy to me........even when she gives me a foot rub.....lol. I do agree with the others though, you can get massages but you need to get them from practitioners that know what they are doing when it comes to BC and the problems that brings. Are the inhalers helping with your breathing? I sure hope so as you have been struggling with it for so long now.
Kathy I use Chrome and have no problems posting pics but I have heard that Firefox can be a hassle. Give the Chrome a try and see what you think.
Well I thought I had finally finished sorting and putting all my bits and pieces away......not so......lol. While sorting out and cleaning up my back verandah I have come across another container full of my bits and pieces so my tidy room in not so tidy anymore......lol.....I will get it organized and then post a pic for you all to see......lol.
Havea great weekend all!
Love n hugs. Chrissy

THX Chrissy. Actually, I am into a whole new chapter here ( breast LE) , but who knows what tomorrow will bring ?
Thanks0 -
Chrissy I liked the picture your grandson did very much and really hope you will post more of his art for us to enjoy. I must admit though, that I really do enjoy seeing your smiling face on these pages. You never fail to brighten my day. Love ya

Thanks Chabba. I have asked my grandson about some new art but other than what he needs for his year twelve certificates he hasn't done much just for the sake of doing it. I did see a partially completed water color he was doing for school and it is beautiful. It definitely is him but beautiful never the less. I have told him I want a photograph of it but I guess I'll have to do the prodding reminder on that one....... Lol.
I have told him he has a large fan base on BCO.......his answer?.......really? I just laughed and told him yes, really.
Love n hugs. Chrissy0 -

QCA, about your daughter with the migraines taking birth control pills. I was taken off of BCP due to migraine. BCP's are contraindicated in persons having migraine. It increases the chances of stroke enough that they have been contraindicated since the late 60's. Sometimes one doc doesn't know what the PCP knows and visa versa. Perhaps this has changed but I would be surprised.
Yes, migraine sucks! I have opthomoplegic migraine and my aura includes my left eye pulling out to the left, losing a big spot of my left field of vision and if I do not get my ergot medicine I lose my ability to speak or understand what words I might want to say. It is a lot like a stroke, I am told. I had three this week and that really worries me. usually it would be every few months.
Hi every body.
DGD was here today, she is 25 months old. She went from charming, empathetic, to screaming like a banshee because she couldn't have an entire half gallon of ice cream for herself. I guess that is being two.
Love Ginger

Thanks for the info re BCP and migraines, Ginger. I'll definitely speak to DD tomorrow and tell her what you said. It appears to be exactly as you indicated in that the PCP and the OB/GYN aren't communicating with each other, since I know she's gone to PCP about the migraines. So glad she's stopped the BCP on her own.
I've been wrestling with photobucket for the past 2 hours and am giving up for tonight. 3jays has been so kind trying to help me but it appears that I'm hopeless!
Have a great Sunday, everyone, and hugs to all.

"DGD was here today, she is 25 months old. She went from charming, empathetic, to screaming like a banshee because she couldn't have an entire half gallon of ice cream for herself. I guess that is being two. "
hahhahaha. I love it, Ginger! My DGD is 25 mos too! So far, she is still a little angel, but I have been waiting foir the other shoe to drop0 -
Morning all
Love it Ginger, because my DGSis only 18 months and is a very determined young man to say the least. If you say no the lip drops and if you try to get him to do something he doesn't want to do we have full blown on the ground trantrums. It is very funny really. He is little so very easy to pick up and remove from the scene.
Have check up with onc today. Thought by now that things would have improved - I stopped taking Femara in July but actually some of the pain is worse. So will discuss this with him but it is probably just the RA from which I also suffer.
Must go and get breakfast.

Alison, it took a few months for me to notice an improvement from Arimidex, pain.

Those tantrums are really a sight to behold, aren't they? DGS is 3 now and he can still be a champ at them, although I must admit that there are fewer of them now. The strange thing is I honestly don't remember either of my children ever having a full-blown tantrum--which is probably a blessing! The thing that really gets me is when their bodies suddenly become boneless, like jello, when you're trying to remove them from whatever they're obsessed with at the moment.
Alyson, hoping for good news from your onc visit today. Please let us know.
3jays, adding my thanks for the wonderful job you did on the memorial. You did Marybe proud and I love all the pics you posted. Still trying with photobucket myself but no luck yet.
See everybody later. Hugs to all, Kathy

thanx gals, for the comments.. it actually was someone elses idea, and i just "did My thing" i still have so many pics, and qoutes.. i'm making a scrapbook for Tim, and Daddy to go thru when they're up to it...
Kathy, I don't remember how i did it, in the beginning, but there's some add on you have to put in, to say "allow acess" im gonna research it for you.. in the meantime, a lot of the ladies use the "tree thing" i've never been able to use it.. try to talk to chrissy, she's the one who taught me how to do it, and many others.........
about the tantrums, my oldest would throw himself on the floor in like target, some store.. i would say "I wonder who's little boy that is, making such a racket, and then start walking away.. worked everytime!!!He got up, mad i was leaving... now, they'd probably arrest you for leaving them!!hahaha3jays

Awe thank 3jays it's gorgeous! Two of my favorite things........squirrels and roses.......lol.
Just wanted to add my appreciation for the work you did on Marybes memorial, it was beautiful just like her.
Well I'm sad to say I blew my top at DH last night. It doesnt happen very often but he was caught out and knew he was guilty like a kid. My biggest peeve with him is the fact that he has a huge shop with a huge shed and a huge cellar and he still has to fill my two little sheds with all his books and what not. Lord knows just what exactly is in there as I can't tell because I can't get any further than the door. Yup those two sheds are filled to capacity!!! All I wanted to do was get my wool winder but there is no way to even know where it is. So........he has been right royally told for the last time to get it all out of my sheds and he has a week to do it..........after that I will kill myself and do it. I will put it all out in the weather and it can deteriorate and I don't care. Needless to say I'm not being spoken to. I just can't understand his need to collect stuff! He's like a pack rat!! I don't mind what he does in his space and I don't even mind some books in the larger of my two sheds but he loaded the last straw and broke this camels back when he utterly filled my little shed so you can't even step into it! Oh well, he will get his stuff out and I will get the cold shoulder for a week or two but that is par for the course........talk about tantrums........lol.......right now he's having a beauty!!!!!!
Okay rant over and I feel much better.......lol. Thanks for listening.
Love n hugs. Chrissy0 -
do it again, and write down watcha did!!!buds a cutie, and i'm sooo proud of you.3jays0

oh, Chrissy,, that was a faux pas, but funny, when ya read it..sounds like i said to YOU ..do it again, and write down how ya did it..whoo hoo.. that was meant for Kathy, but it is funny...
Im sorry you and DH got into it. you know how i feel about all their stuff everywhere.. we're "still workin on it here..seems like "tommorrow" is always the answers.. the peace and quiet might be nice, but not for too long.
I hope he'll take you seriously, and you won't have to lift all the stuff out.
today things feel a little lighter, i think i had some kind of closure, but only time will heal........3jays

Thanks, 3jays, and chabba. 3jays, I was actually in Internet Explorer and I copied and pasted according to some old instructions Marybe had sent. Couldn't use the thing I printed out that you got from Lago. I was still in Firefox when I tried your instructions and couldn't do diddly there.
Just saw on the memory thread that $1806 was raised. Wow!
