Loverly!!! OMD!!!! You are still raising your Parents! Your Dad isn't really "old".... Keep telling him that! It is all a state of mind... I have to keep telling PapaG he is not old either! He... WE, just turned 79... And I don't feel old at all.... Just that some things hurt sometimes, but I deal with it.
Pretty soon he will ditch that cane.... just tell him to take it easy.... A cane is better than a walker! Tell your Mom & Dad that they had better straighten up, and not get themselves into any more trouble.... that you can't take it.... Hah!
I think it best you don't have ANYone on your insurance! I mean having kids, and them learning to drive is scary enough! Will your Mom keep her license? Can she get insurance on her own? That would be best.... I remember when we first got married, HIS folks wanted us to sign for them to get furniture.... So we DID..... Then of course, they did not make payments! It really hurt our credit, because we signed for them! WE had to pay off their furniture, because MY inlaws were a MESS!
But I learned! Oh, the things my FIL tried to pull on us! I didn't ever say much.... but MAN, I would now! Just to say, he was not a nice man..... Neither was she. Never even wanted to watch our girls, or take them shopping, or pretend they were Grandparents! No excuses.... But that's okay.... It was better that they never got to watch them....
Still snowing here...HARD! Only 10 degrees.... "feels like 4".... Hah!

Loveroflife- I am glad your dad is doing better. Sometimes things need to get put aside when someone is not doing well. Glad your mom is taking good care of your dad and let the bickering go. Wishing you and the family better days. Who does that baby belong to? Beautiful photos
I finished my project last Friday! Whoot whoot! I have something new I am working to develop on that may begin in another month or so, and taking some time off to get caught up on many accrued needs. Free at last, free at last! November and December were brutal but we got the project live and then I had a short wrap up period over the holidays.
Mags- it is good to hear from you but sorry to hear about the vertigo. Good to hear the lung mets are responding to treatment. Sending you big hugs friends
Chevy- this one is for you with all the cold and snow. Somewhere this is some dumb guy doing this too!

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Jazzy I sent that to DH. He gets horrendous hot flashes cause of his Ca meds.

Loverly - I am so sorry to hear about your Dad's injury. Thankful he is doing better though. I hope and pray he will make a full recovery.
Mags - Holey Moley! You had quite the trip. I have heard similar stories from other people before though. One lady saw pink fairies flying in her room and another man saw spider webs with big spiders crawling all over. Such different experiences.
So happy to hear that your lung mets are getting smaller. Isn't Olivia your kitty?
Now for a chuckle, check out what this clutzy clutz did Monday night on the way to the bathroom:
Foot swollen and uncomfortable to walk on.
Kirby is home and doing well. The plane noises scared the bejeebers out of him. I had to tuck him into my sweat jacket and then he fell asleep. It was a long day for us both. He ate & drank as soon as we got home. I guess too much stress for him to eat before. He is a very busy puppy. Into everything. I have to watch him every minute. He had never been on a leash, so he was not happy with that new change, but I have walked him twice today and he is getting more accepting of the leash already. Potty training is gonna be a job. I need to learn his signals and he needs to learn the appropriate places. It will all come in time. He is so tiny that I can't let him sleep with me yet, but he slept in his crate very nicely and didn't complain. The breeder had already had him used to a crate, so that has helped.
During my conversation with the breeder yesterday she was able to further calm my concerns about what to do with Kirbs if my health takes a turn for the worse. She apparently knows a couple only 20 miles from me who would come a get Kirby if need be and Anna (the breeder) would come from Idaho to get him. Her family loves the Kirbs too. Even if it is 5 or more years from now. Whew!
The apartment complex I live in is one where the tenants are all older or disabled. There are some who have nothing better to do with their time than spread malicious gossip or lies and make frivolous reports to management regularly. Anyway, it is those very people who are at present in a tizzy about me getting a puppy, because they are saying they can't understand why I'd get a dog since he will outlive me anyway. Apparently, these people have me dead and buried already. Such incredible ignorance and I know that is what it is, but it upsets me still. I really wish I had NEVER told anyone here about my Dx. Too late now.
Chevy - I so enjoy reading your posts. Your are so full of joy, wisdom, and humor.
Sensi - Sorry you're struggling with the fatigue and joint pain. It is a real challenge. Do you take an anti-inflammatory to help?
Anyway, Hi to everyone else I missed. Have a great evening.

Junie- ouch girlfriend, that looks like it hurts! I hope you are feeling better soon.
Glad your puppy is home. I remember you telling us your neighbors were awful. I hope with time you can find a better place to live if that is a possibility. Those people are miserable and jealous. Their problem, not yours sister. You have looked forward to this a long time, don't let people that do not matter rain on your parade sister.

one thing I did when Spookie was really tiny was to put her crate on my bed by my pillow. When she had to go in the middle of the night I could hear her and get to her fast. Then when she stayed dry at night, I taught her to stay and sleep between the 2 pillows so I wouldn't squash her. 7 years later she still does.Shes 8# under all that hair.

junie, wow that looks like it hurts. Very happy you got Kirby. We want pictures:). When I had Marley:( for my short period, I refreshed my memory on potter training. One hour for every month. That's about how long they can hold it. And as a side note, 3 miles is to long for a walk. Luckily Marley was only 5 ish pounds, so I could carry her when she stopped...lol. Get better and have fun. My hubby doesn't want another dog either, cause if I die, he doesn't want to be saddled with a dog. I was sad, but now I am very busy with Elena, and don't know if puppy training or even getting an older dog would work right now. Shelby is still here, 16 next month. I have had a dog since I was 10, not sure how to be without one.
Lover, glad your dad is in good spirits:). Hope you are coping well too.
Hi to everyone else. Chemo day, so I am going night night :

Susan - Thanks for the potty guideline. I'd never heard that one before. Now I know how often to make sure Kirby goes out. When I take him out he is already very good when I say "Go Potty" He runs around a bit and then squats and does his thing.
Here he is in his carrier at the Spokane Airport.
JazzyG - Thank you for the support and encouragement. You are so right. I allow myself to get too focused on the obnoxiousness of other people. I need to continually remember your advice.

In ❤ with Kirby!!!!! 😀

Just a quick pop in to say hi. I'm tired and have an early day tomorrow. I'm pages behind, but will catch up soon.
Junie, so glad you got your kirbs home!

junie, such a precious precious face!! You must be elated:). He is such a cutie....have fu

junie, how little is he? Hard to see size, need a pic of you holding him! You don't need a head shot of you, just up to your chin 😆. You should also print out that meme and put it on your door or print out small ones to pass out to others. Also, are you soaking that toe? That should help reduce the swelling.
Doc visit for mom went well, he pulled out a chuck about 1/2" long and removed the broken part of the hearing aid from the order ear. Says she can hear better. She still wants a hearing test, so will have to get that setup.
Lover, sweet baby girl! Now we'll have more baby pics to see. Evie with her cake.
This is what the cake started as.

Aww so precious. Looks like she wants to share. She is so pretty.
Maybe I should check Dad's ear for wax. He has a hard time hearing even with his hearing aid.
Jazzy, that is my youngest Sis' baby. She is the one that lives in Florida. The same one who got married last year. Are you getting torrential rain there too? Are you still doing yoga? Peppy asked me to join her, but the times of the yoga class she goes to conflict with my schedule. Would love to go back to it again.
Junie, what in the world did you kick? Hopefully, not one of the tenants in the same apartment complex. Hope you are icing the toe. Do you have one of those indoors artificial grass for Kerby to do his business at night? I can't imagine going out in the cold every few hours at night with your respiratory problem. Are you better? I think we need to get you this sign:
Man, talk about stress!!
Susan, good rest. It seems like three weeks come around the corner so fast.

Smaarty beautiful picture of Evie in the snow,
Junie ouch, poor you! Don't you just hate it when you do it to yourself!! Hope you are healing fast.

hey... I am a night owl...or verybearly morning owl today. Been up since 3.
Lover, forgot to say how beautiful your niece is. Hope you get to see her soon
Junie, Hope toe is better.
Lover, going ou in the cold to let dog out is good. They go quickly, learn to understand the process faster cause they don't want to play. And I always through a towel in the dryer. Then picked her up in a warm towel and layed her back in her crate. Went back to sleep beautifully.
Maybe I need a warm towel :

Evie is adorable . Was she a bit cold in that picture outside? I have some of claire like that :

Morning gals...... So NICE out right now! 5 degrees! Just KIDDING! It is NOT nice out.... And my shoulder is even more sore now than it was... meaning my shoulder just has fits when I take Cipro. I am taking it for yet another UTI that is gone...I think.... So I am not going to finish the Cipro!
MAN! It hurts in almost any direction I try and move it.... Pulling up my pants is the worst... So I quit. This happened before... but evidently not enough for me to remember just how MUCH it hurt!
Beautiful pictures Loverly! ... If you have your Dad's ears checked, go to an ENT.... If something needs removed or cleaned, only they can do it. Don't go gettin' out no garden shovel.... You can't reach in there far enough!
Good JOB JazzyGirl! Glad you wrapped another project. Okay.... just what is it that you do? What kind of project? Like wood-burning or something? Grafting rose-bushes?
Love that cartoon! Gonna be so much ice around here, as soon as the snow stops.... Not going anywhere until it is safe out there...
Junie! Man, I can't leave you gals alone for a minute! THAT TOE IS BROKE! IT NEEDS TO BE TAPED TO THE OTHER TOES !! "Uncomfortable???" she says! That toe makes MINE hurt! Don't go to no Doctor.... they will just tape it, or do nothing! Unless it falls off, don't worry.... "On the way to the bathroom"???? Like WHAT? A truck? Hauling a load of marbles????
My hip looked similar when I fell on it... but to a larger degree. Especially after the rod & screws.... It was psychedelic!
Kirby is a little sweetheart... Don't go paying any attention to those rat-fink neighbors of yours. They try to run everyone's life. Those old people are just snarky and cranky! They probably frown when they walk. Train Kirby to bite them when he walks by....
When we go see Theresa, in the Assisted Living...(she is 92) (and yes, she is crabby too) We take fresh bites of chicken to (Abby) ! Wilma has Abby, a tiny little poodle something! She is Theresa's neighbor.... and we always have to stop see them first, before going on to see Theresa. We LOVE dogs! Your neighbors are just jealous! Flip them off when you see them. Period. Give them something to holler about.... put a boom-box turned up to the loudest rock music you can find....out in the hall!
Spookie... we had a dog-door for both Chevy, and Lacee! But I remember training them.... when they were tiny! Same as waking up and nursing your babies! Right?
Susan!!!! Read what you just wrote! You let Marley out once a month to go potty? For an hour? She could REALLY hold it.... Hah!
Junie! Now you talk like me.... "obnoxiousnosness-ity?" I think it's obnoxiousnosiferous.... sort of........but yes they are.
Hey Tulip! Yes... the kirbmiester is home!
Smaarty.... glad your Mom's ears are better.... What does she do? Use her ears to store stuff in? I can't believe how much wax I get out of mine.... I could start making something useful, you would think!
Evie looks so happy! Sweet little girl!
Yes... "warm towels".... I just made a bunch of little "pillows".... like about 6" square.... Filled them with rice, and Lavender, or sage seeds, sewed them back up, and heat them in the micro-wave for about a minute. They are so good for little things that hurt.... like your ear, or your hand, or anywhere you want to be warm....
Like in this weather, you need a full-body-rice-bag.... Hah!

Not doing much today. Have been pretty busy the last couple of days.

Good morning ladies- got some questions here to answer today!
Junie- I don't think you are focusing on those unpleasant neighbors, but probably disappointed that they cannot let you just be to enjoy your puppy. They sound like really unhappy people who don't want others to have any joy. Misery loves company.....
I hope you are enjoying little Kirby! He is a doll and know you have looked forward to bringing him home for a long time!
Loverly- we are getting waves of storms coming from the west coast. We had three days of rain last weekend, and today the skies are grey and another storm is moving through. The mountains are getting more snow and the ski resorts are happy about that. The snow pack is our water supply so we need it for that too! I am glad to see CA getting more moisture, you guys need it as well!
Still doing yoga, but fell out of my routines with being able to go as regularly with a deadline in December. I am back to the gym though, and going to a Monday and Friday class now and also have two yoga retreats coming up, one in another 9 days and a second in mid February. I can recommend even doing 15 minutes of yoga a day can help a person, so don't put pressure on a full hour class or practice if you cannot do it.
Chevy- I am a self employed consultant and focus on IT program and project management work for clients. I work mostly in healthcare these days, although I have worked in other industries as well.
Wishing everyone else here a good day and see you again soon!

Jazzy..... Oh, okay! My neighbor Vanessa works for "A Place For Mom"..... I think it is like she works with Hospitals, etc, and placing "Mom's" or people needing continuing care for their loved ones.... That is a great job, I think.....
When Grandma was in the Hospital, I was frantic not knowing what to do.... A Social Worker helped find her a "temporary" place in Assisted Living right by my house! But she never got well enough to go back to her home.... They also helped me find another place, and another way to pay for her when she ran out of money, and had to go to a nursing home! I was the only one she had, but we all made it work....
Man, I remember calling so many people asking them about Alzheimer's, Dementia, and any other place that could answer questions for me.... It's so hard to try and deal with those issues alone.... good for you, and all the other people who can help! I would go visit her, and there was nothing I could do to help her.... She was forgetting her whole life! I would drive to work crying, not knowing what to do...... Sometimes the caregivers need extra help trying to care for their loved ones.
Also, Doctors & nursing homes should KNOW when all the extra tests serve no purpose! Taking these people to useless psychiatric tests, and trying to determine just how BAD those people are, is not good for anybody. I took Grandma one time.... to an ordered evaluation.... She didn't know the difference between a picture of an orange or an apple! So what? I mean were they KIDDING???
So I said to them.... We won't be back.... this is too hard on Grandma.... it makes her feel bad, because she was looking at me like "I don't know what they are talking about"..... Anyway.... we stopped at Burger King on the way back to her nursing home.... and we both ate on her TV tray.... I helped feed her, and we both laughed.! We had each other...

Chevy, didn't go back and reread. My I pad needs to cleaned up or thrown out. It
Usually autocorrects to words that don't exist.....and if I try to backspace to change something, it erasses the whole paragraph. Starts acting up after a couple sentences. thatsvwhy I try to keep my posts short. Don't have a choice with this horrible machine
😖😣🤔

Susan, I know.... My "smart-phone" sometimes isn't so smart.... I just like to tease you.... Hah!
But I have a Dell computer with a large screen.... At my age, it is beneficial....
0 -
Chevy- whoops, I did not say enough about my work to help you know what I do. I do not work on the patient care side but the IT side. I work on the electronic medical record system changes for the most part.

Well, did you see how much I wrote about nothing Jazzy? Hah! Spookie is just sitting there laughing.... She thinks my mind is frozen..... and it is.
