Okay, first, Loverly..... Brandon, our Grandson took Adderal for the same problem!!!! Took it for years.... during his school years.... Then it was affecting his personality so MUCH!!! Became a completely different person! Could NOT get along with anybody.... Always hyper, hi-strung, and agitated...
Then, after taking him to see a counselor, all hell broke loose.!!!! He finally stopped taking it.... period.... THEN that was on e of the worst things he could do.... But they all worked through it, and he became the loving guy we all knew again..... Just DO NOT for ANY reason stop taking it all of a sudden! It's a wonder they all didn't lose their sanity.
Adderal is just one of those drugs that help certain conditions, but when directions are not followed, it really causes problems......
Hey Susan! Yes, my asthma is much better.... I only use the Nebulizer once in a-while now.... And sometimes the Breo..... It was all left-over from that pneumonia, bronchitis stuff I had.... It seems to happen every early Spring!

Well, my hubby is home today. He's been fighting off a bad cold all this week. At least he is not acting like a big baby about it.
We are supposed to see 40s today. There has been a little melting of the snow so far

MOmmy, how did your corned beef turn out? I've never done one in a crockpot. I'd be interested in your recipe. Have always boiled it on the stovetop adding my potatoes and cabbage at the end. Interesting tid bit, years ago my hubby and I went to Ireland for our first anniversary. One a the included meals was corned beef where we were told that it isn't an Irish dish but they do it since Americans think it is. Don't know if they were "pulling our leg" or not.
Aww, Evie is an adorable leprechaun.
Junie, love the pic of Kirby in the toy box.
Spookie, how true the meme. When we dog sit our DD1's dog she does the art work to our car.
Lover, glad the MRI didn't show anything. Do you have high BP? One of hubbiy's docs took him off his BP med due to kidney disease and after a couple of months he started having headaches on the top of his head almost daily. Got out the BP monitor and sure enough it was high. He had an appointment a week or so later and I told him to let her know, thank goodness he did. She put him back on it at a lower dose. BP came down.I don't blame you for not wanting your DD to go on adderall. Did she have trouble concentrating on her studie in her first semester? If not, in my opinion, I agree with you she needs an outlet for her energy and extra time on her hands. Wonder if her classes aren't challenging enough for her. Had a problem with DS when he was in fifth grade. His teacher complained of him walking around during class time. School work seemed to come too easy for him. I asked her if he got his assignment done, yes. I asked her did she give him extra work to keep him busy, no. I suggested she give him extra work, she did, no more complaints. Had another teacher tell the school librarian, who was a friend, not to let him take out Hardy Boy books that he loved reading. At this point, sixth grade, he was reading some of the books his dad was reading which was above grade level. I told the librarian to let him read them and I felt even a comic book was better than not reading at all. By the time he had to enter high school, he had read a majority of the books on the freshman reading list.

Kath, I did our corned beef in the crock pot for the first time. Super easy.
I cut up 4 or 5 carrots into chunks so they don't get too mushy, quarter 10 small potatoes (like red potatoes), cut up an onion in bite size pieces, put in crock with 4 cups water, place 4 lb corned beef on top, pour a bottle of beer on top, sprinkle with the seasoning pouch, and turn crock on high, and cook for 8 hrs. I steamed cabbage in a separate pot so it wouldn't get too soft. It turned out great.
Some people like to cut up the cabbage and put it in the crock pot during the last hour.

Awwww Evie❤️😍💜
I need that sticker for my car. Mitzy is a true abstract artist.
Ms. Chevy, thank you for the warning with the Adderal. That drug can definitely change the chemistry of a person's brain
Thank you, Kath. No, I don't have high blood pressure. I actually have low blood pressure. I went to bed really early yesterday and right before bed I put several drops of green tea oil where it hurts. Woke up this morning feeling pretty good. Maybe it's a placebo affect. Ha! But will try again tonight.
DD didn't complain of trouble concentrating the first semester. Just not enough time to study. You are right. Part of the problem is that she is bored. She has problem paying attention in all her classes except one, philosophy. She loves this class. An a-ha moment for both of us. She also loves psychology, but dad has tried to discourage her. The poor girl is undecided and is trying to get her general classes out of the way.
Your DS sounds like a very bright boy...well young man now. Is he the one who lives in Japan? DD used to love reading too. When she was little, she even attempted to read in the shower. Didn't know this until one day someone mentioned that her daughter mastered the art of reading in the shower and DD wondered out loud " How did she do it? I tried and always ended up getting the pages wet."🤔 This is the same child of mine who used to hide to read.

Hello ladies. Those pics of Kirby and Bailey sure are cute!!
Junie, I'm sorry you have been struggling, but so glad CT was normal.
Smaarty, is your hip sore from the FG? How do you like your results, or too early to tell? Wishing you speedy healing.
Loverly, So thankful the MRI only showed your brain. Wow..that copay is huge! I want to answer your question, but not when I'm rushed, so I will make time this weekend.
Things are better with my ex-H. In hindsight it is progress that I expressed myself. During my marriage I always surpressed my emotions, so progress for me to get them out! LOL
More later. Healing hugs and thoughts to all.

Mommy, I'm glad you are warming up and the snow is melting. Your corned beef sounds yummy!
Smarrty, Evie is so adorable! I love her shirt!
Kathindc, what a smart and wonderful DS you have! My oldest GD was above her grade level as well. Now at 13 she's taking college classes. I'm so proud of her also 😍
Lita, sounds absolutely yummy!
Spookie, I love the meme! So cute!
Hi to All and have fun this weekend

Lori I cooked mine in a crock pot. The potatoes got a little mushy. So next time I make it I will cook the cabbage and carrots together and the potatoes will be cooked separately

Mommy, your making my tummy rumble even after bacon and pancakes

Lover, I used to hide under the covers at night and read by the light of my illuminated clock. It had to be right on the page to be bright enough.

Got woke up way early this morning. Somehow I thought last night was Sunday night and set the alarm clock. The alarm went off at the time I usually have to get up during the week. Hubby wakes up as I shut off the alarm and says "Do you realize it's Sunday and not Monday?" I sheepishly apologized and said I didn't even recall setting the alarm clock the night before. Flippin' chemobrain!!!!

Mommy, I claim chemo brain as often as I can. My MO said I could claim it for the rest of my life if I want to. So there DH! lol
Lita, so happy to hear of your fun wine tasting with your friends! Yes, you are absolutely right! Gonna live until we die! Best wishes!
Susan, beautiful Evie! Heirlooms are priceless! My exMIL made blankets for my kids. Unfortunately my kids felt they were to ugly to use for their babies 🙁
Wren, I still read under the covers with my kindle. Especially when I don't want my DH to know I'm awake yet. We sleep in separate rooms as he needs light, warmth and music. I want dark, cold and quiet. Reading undercover keeps the light from showing under my bedroom door 😜
Praying everyone is having a great Sunday

Hi everyone. I hope you're having a good weekend!
Susan, Adorable pics!!
Loverly, I hope your head feels better. Here's the answer to your question...
I feel like I have been struggling for over a year now. Certainly not to the extent of some of you ladies, however. I have tried all three AI's, all in conjunction with a monthly zolodex shot. The first AI (I thought) gave me severe bone/joint pain, so I was taken off both meds for 2 mo. The second AI made me break out in a rash (I think). The third..I think the SE's are manageable, but the the foot pain has returned and now I believe it is the zolodex causing it. To back up, I have been off 2nd AI since mid-Jan, and I still have this rash, but it is less intense. It only appears when I shower, with the heat change, and my skin (legs) returns to normal after a few minutes. So, I am going to see an allergist in a few weeks to see if I can get to the bottom of it. After my med break I got zolodex shots in Dec and Feb (Not sure why MO had me skip Jan) and a few days after Feb shot I started feeling my toes go numb and hurt (like neuropathy). Since then it has increased and pain has spread to bottom of feet. Some days are worse than others. Last week I went to see a chiropractor and I'm trying acupuncture. I also purchased expensive shoes...hoping some of these changes will help. I'm hoping to manage the pain with these changes. The current AI mostly makes me REALLY tired. I mean, look who I'm talking to..people who struggle with sleep, so don't hit me when I say I'm sleeping more. The thing is I don't function well if I don't get at least 8 hours of sleep, and if I get less, it's all I can do to get through the day and do the bare minimum. So, I'm in a cycle of sleeping more, less productive, not balancing kids, home work, etc. I've thought about requesting to go back to first AI, but I think that one was hard on me emotionally.
I don't see MO again until May, and don't feel like dealing with anything over the phone, so I'll get April shot, see Allergist and go from there. I know my MO is ready to put me on Tamox, but I'm not ready yet. In the meantime I have FG surgery on 4/11. I have pre-op with PS this week and PCP next week.
Wishing everyone peace and joy.

wild tulip, what's fg surgery? I am slow . I spell everything out cause I guess I am old fashion. Sometimes I have no idea what you ladies are talking about. Lol. I hope your rash goes away, and you find a med you can tolerate.
Chemo brain is a good excuse for everything:

Hubby is very understanding when chemobrain kicks in. He told me over coffee this morning that he forgives me for my brain going haywire. He says it's something we will have to cope with for the rest of our lives

Susan, I have learned the abreviations because of BCO, otherwise I wouldn't know! It's fat grafting. Just part of my reconstruction..3rd surgery in a year.
Chemo brain is real, and has lasting effects!

I agree, chemobrain is very real. I was terrified the first time it hit me! I had no idea what was going on. Thank goodness for all the smart ladies here to help me through it. My DH understands it's a life long journey also.
Wildtulip, praying you find relief very soon! Please keep us posted

Yes, cheMO brain is real. I can't remember names and dates at all anymore. I forget why I walked into a room all the time.
