M0mmyof2, we have light snow here today, ice and rain for tomorrow. We're not getting anywhere near the storm that's coming your way! I love minons! Bundle up and stay safe!

Smarrty, love, love, love your new tattoo! I'm not brave enough to get one myself.

Lookie, congratulations on your negative biopsy! Yay!!

Wildtulip, yay on your DS starting track! I'm not sure how I would have handled the situation at your DS's game. How old is your DD? It was definitely more stress than you need!

Lover, good luck on your MRI! Praying for good news! I have a huge hole under my left arm from having nodes removed. I can fit my whole fist in it. I'm hoping my PS can do something with it when I have my exchange surgery. I love the grandma photo bomb. So funny!

    Until next time

Lover, did you get your appointment for your MRI? Please keep us posted. Has DD1 started spring break? I remember how the students where I worked so looked forward to it.

So far the DC area is just seeing some extremely light moisture. Snow is suppose to come in later. School systems have already closed for tomorrow. Our weather forecasters are calling for 3-6 inches. Our weather forecast out of NHK Tokyo says we're in the heavy snow area. It will be interesting to see who is correct. I know the European weather models predict our weather more correctly. You would think we would get the hint.

Lori, did you have radiation today? Hope you aren't having the same side effect you had last week.

WildT, I commend you on making the first move on introductions. Very classy.

Susan, did you have a good visit with family. Current pictures of Elena?

Oops, I'm on low battery. Need to charge the iPad.

isn't that the truth! When hurricanes are around, the European models even beat out the local guys.

Kathindc, I did have radiation today and no burning SE today. I am so so itchy! My DH said I look like a monkey with all the arm raising and scratching I'm doing... especially under my left arm. He makes me laugh :-

Same here for the European weather forecasting being more accurate. We have a prof at UW who has a blog and a Friday radio program talking about the weather. He's able to say it's right on the edge and we won't know ahead.

Thank you for the kind words of support, ladies. Truth be told, when I told ex-H that DD should come sit with me, my tone was not nice. Then, this morning I called him and completely flipped out. The conversation ended when he hung up on me. I then called a friend who talked me down and I was able to admit that the whole thing upset me so much because when gf was walking hand in hand with my DD and he did not acknowledge me as the kids' mother, it fed my fear of mets and not being there for my kids. March is my Dx and BMX month, and I have been particularly emotional lately. So, I just sent an email to ex-H explaining my perspective, but also saying he could have done things differently to create a better situation.

Kath, the credit goes to my mom, who asked me if I wanted to go introduce myself. I was too emotional to think straight, so i'm glad she thought of it.

Shep, Thanks for sharing the stories of your innocent children and your ex's wife. I'm so glad for you that the other woman has been a blessing! How are you feeling? How are your eyes?

Loverly, yes, I do know it would be worse if gf did not treat my kids well, but I think there should be respectful boundaries when she is at family events. Let us know when your MRI is!

Lori, my children are 16, but were born very early and both have special needs. Their social and academic skills vary greatly. DD is still very interested in all things Disney Princess. What are you using on your skin for radiation? I was told to use Auquafor. It's greasy, but did help.

    Hello to everyone else!

Tomorrow I'm taking care of me...chiropractor and therapist.

WildT, I think I understand now. image

Good idea regarding sending Ex the email to help him understand where you are coming from. He probably doesn't have a clue. Same with the gf (at least I hope) Boundaries are good. Want to write more, but need to hit the sack.

Wench, I found an aloe sunburn gel that has lidocaine in it. My RO approved it. Stopped the itching. Was Equate brand from Walmart.

I burned really bad, he eventually rx5% lidocaine and silvadine for me.

morning ladies. For you going through rads, my friend and her DH used this during rads, approved by her RO. Calendula gel or cream. She bought the one made by Boiron (I think that's the correct spelling). ask your RO about it. Neither of them ever burned while getting treatment.

Well my hip is not a happy camper. Sore and beginning to scab. Lover, the only way to see the tattoo is when I'm in a bathing suit. I can flash you when we have breakfast! ;)

Mommy, sorry you have snow, come to CA, it's in the 70s here. But the rains are suppose to be back in a week or so. I'm enjoying the sunshine. I can even wear my summer dresses right now, which is a good thing since pants would hurt my hip. Wren, while up in Seattle it was freezing. We didn't get any snow where we were but heard it was close by. What do you sew?

Smaarty, I've done quilt tops, especially crib for baby presents, clothing, simple stuff for the house. DH got me a serger just as I was DX and I've never learned to use it. I would like to make napkins and placemats since they get stained so easily. I'm getting a hunch back (not too bad yet) and would have a much better fit in tops if I made them myself. It's sort of hard to fit things to myself. I need to find a sewing buddy to help. I saved a Threads magazine that clearly showed the alterations I need to make.

We're having a heat wave (up to 52F) and lots of rain right now. Flood warnings but we're not in a place that is in danger. It will go back down to the 40's by the weekend. I'm really glad we're not seeing deep snow. Rain doesn't need to be shoveled.

Well we got downgraded from the 18-25 to 10-18. Hubby and had gone out a bit ago to do some snow removal and it looks like we have at least a foot so far

Thank you Spookie, Wildtulip and Smarrty for your wonderful advice. I love it!

Wildtulip, I have some of the Aquaphor but was told to use it only if I had to. My RO says the A&D Ointment works a lot better. We will see...

Spookie, my PCP perscribed the 5% lidocane for me to use on my port before accessing it. So I have that if I need it. I use plan hydrocortizone cream for the itching, it stops the itch immediately.

Smarrty, I'm using the Boiron Calendula twice a day and A&D Ointment at night. I don't have any burning of the skin it was as if someone was cooking ribs...mine! The worst part is my breast tissue screaming about all of this. I don't have any breast tissue! I wish my phantom breast would just mind it's own business. It's weird that I still have nipple sensations on both sides, I haven't had nipples for 9 months now. My DH finds it hilarious when I rub my phantom nipples to get them to behave themselves. Does it ever go away? My skin is reddish but no burns or blisters, I was told its holding up better than most so I'm happy with that. No changes in my incisions which I can tell by checking them myself. They are concerned about my incisions opening up due to the radiation. Anyone have problems with their incisions? As for the internal burning not much I can do about it but deal with it. So I will deal with it the best I can.

Wren, I picked up crocheting this Fall. I've made my own hats, scarves and mittens until my fingers almost fell off. I love to make clothes and do alterations but I haven't done any in a few years. I'd love to learn to make quilts etc

Mommy, how are you holding up in all the nasty weather up your way? We didn't get any of the snow we were told we'd get, our forecasters are good at being wrong.

My nap is calling me, until next time

wren, there are 5 ASG chapters by Seattle. You should check.it out, maybe one is close enough so that you can get some help. American sewing guild.

I get nipple sensations off and on. Mine have been gone for 4 years. Just saying :)

Well, where I live in DC, we were lucky to only get about an inch and a half. Our cherry trees around the tidal basin are blooming and were coated in ice. That made the news out of Tokyo.

Well Hello Ladies! Sorry I've been out of the loop again.

Firstly, Miss Susan, sorry I missed your Birthday. I hope you had a wonderful one. Trying to choose which is cuter between Elena & Baily would be impossible. Both absolutely precious.

!!! Happy Belated Birthday Susan !!!

Had a few weeks of miserable pain in my right pelvis/hip and had a CT that was normal, but pain did not improve. Sunday-March 5th it was so bad I broke out a Fentanyl patch and called the Resident on call at the hospital where my Orthopedic Oncologist is. Was able to get an appt. the next day and was still in pain on the trip up there, but once the doctor moved my hip around, plus I over heated and was higher than a kite from the Fentanyl, I had no pain. Was stiff the next day and by that Wednesday I was pain free in that area. Go figure. But very glad all is still good. I've also been volunteering some extra days because there is a project that has been needing to be done for about 8 mos. and I am finally caught up enough with the other things I've been doing to start the project. It will take a several weeks to complete.

Kirby is still at the trainer's and doing well. I am missing a lot of his puppyhood, but feel him being well trained is more important. H has learned to come on command, down, NO, and he will be learning to walk next to my walker. As explained to my on Sunday, he is still in kindergarten, but the training IS getting ingrained in him. He has been there for 3.5 weeks now and will be there at least 3 more. Where he is now it is quiet and away from distractions such as cars in parking lots, people walking about, or people trying to pet him. Once he comes home he'll have to learn to incorporate/ignore those distractions into his training. I also need training on how to properly work with him so that I gain his respect and acceptance as the leader.

There have been a couple of other puppies being boarded there and Kirby has had a blast playing with them. One is a Labradoodle named Murphy who lives near me and the trainer suggested that I call Murphy's people for a play date once Kirby comes home. Kirby attempted to chase some of the chickens on Monday morning and was called back, and he actually stopped and returned. So he's doing pretty well for a 5.5 mos old puppy.

Here he is in the Toy Box at K-9 Camp. He loves all the toys. Just look at that cuddly wuddly face! Yes, I am one of those pet parents.

Anyway it is now 1:44 a.m. here, so I will have to come back and finish catching up.

So happy you are back Wenchie! I am also waving to everyone else and wish you all a good night. Image result for smiley face with hearts

it's been a long time since I was up in the middle of the night! Don't like it. Can't sleep because my hip hurts. I keep trying to sleep on that side, which I usually do. WHAT WAS I THINKING! Oh well, it will heal up soon.

Hi JunieB, glad you're back and doing better.

    Morning feline.

JunieB, love the video. Very smart dogs. Kirby is already 5 1/2 months? How time flies. He will be home before you know it. Good to keep busy when your baby is not with you. I hope your hip continues to behave.

Lori, I hope you find a combo cream that will help with your skin. BBQ ribs....ouchy!!

Ms. S, I didn't know tattoo can hurt that muchShocked

Susan, Bailey looks little he could be related to Kirby minus the pointy ears.

WildT, are your joints better with the new AI?

Kath, DD gets her spring break in April. She texted me earlier today and told me that she may need Adderal to help her to stay focus. She complains of difficulty paying attention and sitting still in class. She had this problem throughout high school, but managed to do well in high school so why the need for meds now. Had to explain to her Adderal has its ugly side effects. I am thinking she needs to continue staying physically active as swimming season is now over. The excess energy she now has needs an outlet.

I had the MRI on Tuesday and got the result this morning. There is nothing up there except my brain and possibly some cobwebs. Ha! No evidence of uninvited guests. Still have headaches though, but I can deal with that. PCP wants me to have my vision checked. I do notice that the left eye is worse than before. DD2 and DH always remind me not to squint when I read. Hard not to do. Maybe I need Botox so I won't be able to squint. Do you think they will buy that? hehe

That was my first and hopefully my last MRI scan. I am a bit claustrophobic so the first minute or two I felt like my heart was pumping its way out of my chest. Had to meditate and calm myself down. I think it would have been better if there wasn't a head piece to keep the head still. Now I understand why some people need to take an Ativan prior. The whole time I was thinking about our Shep....what she was going through on her second MRI right after surgery. She is one tough cookie! Oh and the Gadolinium contrasts stung like heck because the tech missed my vein and 1 ml got under my skin. Felt like my arm was going to fall off until she put some warm compress on it. Another tech came in and tried the injection on the back of my hand and that was not bad at all. I am such a wuss. Glad it's over.

Oh forgot to mention that my copay for the MRI is $825. No, I didn't forget a decimal. Thank God I started an HSA account this year. Peace of mind is priceless though.
