Feeling a bit better this morning. Hubby told me not to do much today

sounds like excellent advice to me.

apparently this originated in Australia and is called Extreme Knitting. You can even buy extreme knitting yarn.

Might make good fishnets.

Wenchie,
I thought this was the one, but it's not. But it's just like this except it has adhesive strips on two ends. The adhesive will not tear the skin where it is fragile from the burning. And the pad doesn't stick to the wound.
Reading through now, will post my scan results next post

Ok, sassy already knows this, but yesterday's MO visit - he's on hospital duty so I saw the PA, she's a dear. Unfortunately that tumor beside the sternum has grown 20%. WHAT!!!! Yes. Others stable or reduced. Just looked at path. They only included the 4 lung lesions, nothing about the spinal. They give two measurements for each, overall and sum of longest (SUL). They also give the initial size as well as the last scan. But the 20% is from the last scan.

I'm looking at the differences from the original to the current, and they are all bigger and there is a new lesion in the left upper node of 1.3 cm. Thankfully no lymphadenopathy.

Aw, Mags. I'm sorry. That's not what you want to hear. (((((((Mags)))))))

So sorry Mags- what did they give you for a plan ahead?

For some reason we're taking 3 weeks off, to regroup I guess. Hard to know, since I haven't actually talked to MO. So I go back May 2.
Last night an old friend came and we had dinner and played dominos. My sister is here for the weekend too. It's her birthday tomorrow and mine is Tuesday (I was her 5th birthday present) so we will sort of celebrate tomorrow, DH swill grill burgers, DS's DGD & her new hubby will join us. My mom always made me homemade German chocolate cake (and it was always lopsided so she held it together with toothpicks but it was delicious). We will probably have to settle for store bought (ugh) because DC is not much of a baker.
(Not to be morbid, but do we always ask, is this the last one?

Having a sunny day even though it's a bit breezy. Took advantage of the nice weather and tore the dead junk from my flower box.

Mags- happy early birthday. I don't think it is morbid, I think we bc patients and survivors assume nothing about what can happen year to year.
How sweet you and your sister will get to celebrate together this year. That to me is extra special!

Oh Mags - Sorry your scan results were not what you'd hoped for. I haven't had a chance, but wanted to tell you that you look beautiful with your new do.
Also Happy Birthday to you & your Sister.
It has been somewhat sunny & breezy here as well today. And my Kirby is home! He has at least doubled in size and is all fuzzy like a little bear. He IS NOT the puppy he was when he left for camp. He actually comes on command, walks to the left of my walker, lays down, doesn't jump on people, etc. Trainer says he is at about at 3rd grade level now and she also spent a couple hours working with me to teach me how to use my voice to continue his training. He is definitely feeling his hormones and displaying some teenage behavior. He is scheduled for his snip snip on June 7th.
Here he is earlier today in his new bed, with his toys. Such a sweet little guy.
Feline - How in the world do they manage to work with such huge knitting needles? Also, I loved your post on my not following the online stats. Too funny.
Sassy - Yes, that is a very happy story about Dini. Happy Anniversaries too!
Wenchi - So glad your wound is looking better. What fun stuff did you find at the garden center? One of our local stores has a "Fushia Day" each year. You buy your plants and they will give you potting soil and pot the plants for you for free on this one day. It was today, but since Kirby was coming home I didn't go.
Hello Patti, hope you're doing well. Has Spring started in you area yet?
Well, I need to go put Kirby's chicken on to cook, so I'll say goodnight for now. Have an excellent evening everyone.
Waving Hi to everyone I missed.

Junie- wow, Kirby grew up fast. Was he happy to see you? Glad you two are back together and he is trained. He is adorable!

Mags, hope you and your sister have a grand birthday celebration. So nice you get to celebrate it together. I don't recognize you in your new avatar. Love the wig. Dag gone I wish you could catch a break. So sorry to hear about your scan.
Junie, Kirby has gotten big! I don't remember him being that brown on his body. He does look like a teddy bear.
MOmmy, hope your cold is getting better.
Patty, love seeing you popping in. Hope you are still doing well.
Lori, sounds like your skin is improving. Keep up the good work. And take the attitude, who cares what others think. If only they knew what you have and are going through.
Shep, hope you are doing well. Miss seeing you.
WildT, in your pocket for your surgery. Meant to tell you how much I enjoyed seeing your son playing basketball. He looks like he thoroughly enjoyed the game.
Chevy, you're being awful quiet. I hope you and your DH are doing well.

Wow! Kirby's not a little guy anymore. Adorable!
Pic of dd and I at the annual church tea. She also got to display some of her final portfolio photos of my struggles juxtaposed next to Mojave desert and Joshua Tree landscapes.
They always display quilts that the quilting group does too.

Junie-so glad to see Kirby is home. He's gotten so big.
Mags-love the new wig. I'm sorry your scans came back not as you had hoped. Wishing you and your sister a very happy birthday. German chocolate cakes are the best!
Waving hello to everyone else

Cold is just about gone.
Didn't get much sleep because my idiot new neighbors across the street were having a party last night complete with loud music. Nearly called the cops. If they do it again, the cops will be called!!!!! Not losing my precious sleep so they can have a good time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Morning, Great day. Been having troubles sleeping for a long time. Went back on melatonin sometime in late winter and 2 mg of Ativan. It's been odd to watch what has happened. Slowly over these months waking up early without a headache. Plus, I now know the soft bed for me is trouble. Whatever the dynamic I can only surmise. It's so comfy, I lay on my back. When I lay on my back I mouth breathe. That leads to struggling & dry mouth. My nose drops>>listerine. 1-2 drops each nostril. Standard stuff won't work.

Morning Teka, How's it kicking?
Jazzie the only thing I'd seriously would like to get rid of by plastics is my apron. That excess skin at the belly. Oh well.
Update on PDGraham, Phyliss, she's in another trial at MD Anderson. She was doing great in the other trial until it lowered her Platelets below 100(70). She had to stop that trial. It took a long time for her platelets to get back to normal. Now she's in an immunotherapy trial.. She sounds good and is still staying with her BFF.
Mommie, any chance of taking dilute chlorine baths or swimming in a commercial pool? If you were to take a tub soak I can find the exact instructions, 3/4's to 1 cup of chlorine in a tub of water It's great for boils. ANother way is cider soaks. That's about a cup of cider in a tub of water.
Wenchie, YAY advancing. Funny analogies about the skirt tucked into the panties and TP trailing. Happened to my boss one time at graduation. A 100 guys and a few women. Too funny. I popped behind her and fixed it. All we could do was laugh b/c it was already done and over. Back to dressings --way back when commercial products were available and kept on EMS squads pre 70's when they were still called ambulances. A standard thing to wrap newborn babies in was newspaper b/c the internal pages were considered sterile. Hahaha. I still would like to know if Menstrual bad, incontinent pad, and diapers individually wrapped are considered sterile. That super absorbency would be great for a highly draining wound.
Lita, poor Olaf. It's so hard on them in storms when they are house trained. Poor babies. Hope your weather improves. Tea looks fun.
Feline any pics of Extreme knitting?
Mags, plan? What's in the trick bag?"swill Grill". Your official BD is the 11th right?
JUNIE YAY Kirby's home. He's a cutie. Thanks, each anniversary is a treasure.
Hi Beatmom, know you are lurking. Thanks for the note.
Off to look at bathroom stuff. Loved the gal that came and talked with me on the bathroom, we really hit it off. Lot's of fun except for dust UGH

Good morning everyone ☀️
Mags, I'm so sorry about your scan results not being what you wanted to see. Sending prayers and lots of hugs! I'll have to find some of the Curad pads with the tape as it's impossible to keep the ones I'm using in place while working outside. Happy Birthday to you and your sister! 🤗
June, Kirby has gotten so big and he's such a furry little bear! He's so cute! I found everything I need to get my straw bale garden started. I haven't gotten any of the purtty stuff yet. Just fertilizer, plastic sheeting, frost blankets, buckets and rain barrels. Boring stuff. DH mowed my garden plot for me after I cleared all of last years stuff out. He also ran to get my straw bales yesterday and boy am I glad I decided to tag along for the ride or he'd have come back with bales of hay and not straw. He was adamant there wasn't a difference. You don't tell a horse person that and get away with it lol Hay is greenish yellow and finer textured. It also has all the seeds in it and if you fertilize and water it will grow more hay. Straw is a golden yellow and very course and the stems actually look like straws.. Straw is what's left after harvesting the oat, wheat, barley seeds etc I told him you feed the hay and the livestock poops on the straw. He didn't believe me and had to ask the nursery guy what the difference was 😜
Sassy, dry mouth is the worst! Can you exchange your soft bed for something firmer or have you had it to long? Praying your sleep improves pronto!
Mommy, take it easy and I'm glad your cold is well on its way out!
The weather has been beautiful here too. I worked out in the yard most of the day yesterday. I thought for sure I'd be down for the count and very sore this morning but I'm feeling pretty good. I'll help DH set up my bales as I want to be able to mow between the rows and make my life easier as much as I can. I'll get the fertilization process started today and that takes 12 days to finish before I can plant the bales. I'll take the rest of the day off to sit and feed the fish.
I'm off to start the day! 👋 hello to everyone I may have missed! Hoping everyone hasa great Sunday!

Oh I forgot!
My DH told me we'd go on a real vacation once my treatments were over. They are over so he asked me last night if I'd figured out where I wanted to go yet? He says the world is at my feet! Any and all suggestions appreciated! I'd love to go visit BC sisters from all over the world but I have no idea where to start?!

Sassy- I have that same skin issue on the stomach, and am loosing weight so there will be more. I would consider that, and know a woman who did it and was very pleased with it.
The facelift stuff is what scares me. Too many nerves around the face.

Wench Lori, There was a magazine in our Sunday paper about Wyoming. We both just wanted to get in our car and go on a road trip. We drove thru Wyoming in 1974, moving to Seattle. I would love to go see Grand Teton and Yellowstone again. And the Gallatin National Forest. We used to backpack and hike, but those days are gone.

Wren, we used to do a lot of hiking and those days are gone for us too. We took our 3 children on a cross country road trip from Texas thru NM AZ, NV and ended up in CA. We did all the National Parks along the way to include The Grand Canyon and Sequoia National Park etc The knows keeping kids had to visit every zoo we could find on the way. We were so much younger then!
