Shep - When I said I could appreciate a hunky guy, I was not referring to what you posted. Loverly's pic is much closer to what I was thinking of.

Loverly - So glad Mitzy did pretty well through the fireworks.

Wenchie - Sorry to hear about your MIL.

A possum in your house! Aren't they mean critters? Pushy little thing isn't she? Is the Raccoon hanging in your planter box a baby? What happens when he decides to move into your house with the Possum? You'll need a huge supply of marshmallows then ;0)

How awful to find those nasty worms eating the rewards of all your hard work. I hope your tomato plant makes a comeback.

Wren - Do you foster kitties on a regular basis?

I am having a down day today. Significant fatigue and pain in my spine. Had gotten dressed to go volunteer, but when I went to do my hair I just said to myself "No way this is gonna happen" So I called to let them know I wasn't going to make it. Been on the couch this afternoon.

Here are a couple pics of Kirby & I taken by the volunteer site for their FB page for July 4th.

Well, it's back to the couch for now.

Junie, We foster a couple of cats a year. We learned to meds and fluids when our cat had kidney failure, so we take ones that need that kind of care. I worked in the shelter medical area doing routine medications for about 8 years. After our remodel they don't get sick as often (HVAC was totally redone). We also have a foster hospice program. Chewey was in that program when I took him. He's doing fine though and is now up for adoption. I'll take another fospice kitty when he's adopted. Fospice is for kitties with a fatal illness and a life expectancy of 3-6 months. The idea is to spoil them rotten until it's their time to go. The shelter vet helps make the decision to euthanize when that time comes.

Bless your heart Ms. Wren!!! Hug

Junie, Kirby is so darn cute. This is the first time I see a frontal photo of you...what a sweet face. Does match your kind heart. Hope you are feeling better today.

Queenie, "NED"....such welcoming acronym. Yay!! Your breathing pattern must be back to normal now. Rejoicing with you. I was supposed to see my MO on Wednesday for my 6 month check up, but she was out sick. I was happy that I didn't have to go in, but quickly realized I had to make another appointment. The mind plays tricks on me sometimes.

Having lunch with the ladies today. Yay! Meat and potatoes. BB

Celia, welcome back! Hope you had a great time in CT and NYC. Yeah, I would love to donate the excess from my tummy and behind to that famished looking model too. Ha!

JunieB: hope you're feeling a trifle better today--did you make it off the couch? (There were days not so very long ago where the effort of getting dressed was almost too much for me; futon days are a necessity sometimes.)

Lover: my blood pressure's coming down nicely too. Isn't NED a wonderful acronym?

Queenie, it certainly is, and I congratulate you on that and your wonderful grades! Well done and kudos!

Well, here I am again, back in the wringer of life. Couldn't get the infection in my implant post under control, so doc explanted it today. It bled a while and it's gonna be sore, and I have to wait 3 more weeks for it to heal so we can try again. Ice packs, salt water rinses, and chlorhexasomethingorother plus ABs.

Good to see all of you, welcome home Loverly. JunieB and Kirbster looking cute as a bug, Feline and Zills really could be sisters! And Shep, we will discuss your taste in men at a later time (hmph). And if I miss anyone, I can blame it on chemo brain. And morphine.

    Nini Owlettes!

Loverly, I just so happy you are all home safe and sound. The western world is in such flux right now. Yes,, I am seriously into Fb, Not a friends scenario. It's political. The world is in an uproar. My friend network is political.. I've watched it for two and a half years. The world is in such trouble. I know each has their own thoughts on what is and should be.......but the world is in trouble like nothing since WW2.

OMD that guy you posted with the flag .What a hunk. Hmmmmmm Yummy.

Whenchie, Possums and Racoons? And Tomato worms? Oh Vey, squishing things. Sorry, About Stu's Mom, sad, doesn't sound good.

    YAY Quennie NED..............

Remodel update: Shower is tiled and shower floor. Donnie did two doors. Decided to extend the granite to the whole wall around the wall of the closet side to keep continuity. The door on that side is beautiful too. It's an exterior door. The intent was making a safe space for hurricanes and tornadoes. That closet has three sides of concrete wall.. I had Donnie reinforce the shower wall. Now I will have him reinforce the remainder of the wall. I did disaster work in past years. It made me crazy that this house had no safe space in a storm. It will now have that.

The totally absolutely horribly expensive door that is the entry to the bedroom is gorgeous. It is a full length art deco leaded glass beauty. Totally, way above this house. But I didn't care. It's beautiful. So, wish I could share a picture. Also, hoping with all the stuff that still needs to be done it isn't hurt.. Oh Vey.............

Oh Mags I am so sorry you are again dealing complications. I sure hope that the infection will heal quickly and you'll finally get your dental work completed. Thanks, I'll Kirbers you appreciate his July style.

Wren - It takes a special person to be able to care for animals who they know they'll have to part with. Even if it is to adoption. I would get too attached and not want to trust their care to someone else. Maybe a little selfish of me.

As you know, I flew to your area to pick Kirby up, but everything was covered in snow. I sure hope I get to see it again in warmer weather one day.

Queenie - Yes, I did get off the couch today. I went to see the new "Spider Man" movie with a friend. Celebrating with you on your NED!

Loverly - Thanks for the comment. Sweet looking has never entered my mind in relation to any pic of myself. I have ALWAYS hated being photographed, with the exception of one I had professionally done back in my late 20's. However, the one I posted did turn out ok. But since that pic I've had my hair cut and I am feeling much cooler. I was feeling kind of like the flying nun. My hair is straight as a board and when I get any length to it, I can only use a hairband to put it back. Now with some hair foam, a round brush and a blow drier I can get a little body in it.

Sas - How close are you to completion of your reno?

I saw this new Geico commercial earlier today and found it here on You Tube. So for your viewing pleasure I have posted it. It's titled "Running of the Bulldogs" Really cute I think.

Has anyone been to Norway to see the Northern lights.....or have any better recommendations?

Just got back from "bucket" to Paris and a wine tour on riverboat in Bordeaux. Too much, I'm glad to be home.

Maybe the trip for Northern lights, hopefully Hawaii again....our last trip there was such a bust with DIL having seizure and son having electrical shock... then that will be it for outside of Continental US. It is too hard to find bathrooms with the continual Herceptin diarrhea.....despite lots of lomotil. And just too tiring for me.

I'm still around, reading every night, just don't post much.

This last week has been one that my sleep suffered greatly all due to jerks in my area lighting off fireworks. Last Sunday wasn't so bad, the city did its annual fireworks display. Sat with a bunch of my neighbor's at a local park where you can get a good view of the fireworks. The display only went on for about a half hour, last year they were about 45 minutes. But the entertainment in the park before the fireworks was great. A local corporation sponsored the local symphony orchestra's performance. They played everything from Big Band music all the way up to the early 2000's.

June ended on a wild note here. Had a severe thunderstorm come through and it was so bad that I thought we were going to see a tornado from it. The winds were really bad, I was worried the tree in the backyard was going to either come down on the garage or fall into my garden. Lightning struck a tree a few houses down from me and went through the ground and caught their garage on fire. The garage received minor damage and as I was walking down the street the other day I saw how much damage the neighbor's tree took. The top off of the tree is missing leaves and most of the bark is completely gone and it looks like as the lightning struck the tree it spiraled down because there are huge gouges in it from the strike.

Poor Jackson was so scared and Princess went totally still when the incident with the neighbor's tree happened. She has never reacted like that before.

Queenie, YAY NED, another milestone. Happy dance!

Loverly cute bulldogs. Remodel: One door needs done, rewiring. Finnish tiling, floor two rooms. Vanity and sinks, hardware for doors and sinks, lighting, Stuff for walls, mirrors, resetting of bidet. Still shooting for Thanksgiving Hahahaha. Why TG. Then I don't get bothered about the mess. We all are keeping up with the mess, so the livable portion of the house is livable and clean. Even the bathroom as much as it can be. The fellas sweep the floor so I can walk on it

Every piece of clothing in the closet is dust covered. That will be a marathon cleaning when the time comes. For now we are living out of baskets on the 2nd bed in the room we are in. Inconvenient, but doable.

Where is this picture of you? I went back 2 pages? Also, please, post that pic of you when you were in your 20's?

Hi Beatmom, Nice you are working on your Bucket List. How did you find Paris. What was the most special thing? It was on my bucket list at one time. Now I would only go by boat, b/c of the lymphedema thing. Still trying to avoid it. My twin has it so baddddddddd. How did your LE manage with all the flying?

Sensi, You are likely off and away on your vacation now. Have a whoopdidoo time with your friends. Great [picture of you in the window. Suitable for framing :) Nice.

TAPPER where are you? Hootie hooooooo

Mommy, the park sounded wonderful. So, sorry your babies were so frightened. Schatzi is at my side constantly. I walk and turn pretty slowly. She's like this caterpillar around my legs. The Vet gives me Valium for them every year. But I only gave it to them July3 &4th.

HELLLOOOOoooooooooooo OG56 Bob Newhart, got it :)

    Waving at everyone I missed.

2nd sleep study for mask application tonight.

Thanks Sas. To tell the truth, when the neighbor's tree got struck I jumped too. I have never been that close to an area that got struck. Sounded like a very loud gunshot had gone off

A little something to start the week off right!

    image

Off to MO for follow-up. Curious as to how the scans from my MRI two weeks ago will compare to CTs last month. Hoping I get Queenie's results someday soon! Hmmm...wonder if it was something in those worms? Whatever it was, keep doing it! So happy for the Queen of NED 👸

Sensi - Wow! Incredible pics. You look so serene with your Mona Lisa smile. Sunset? Sunrise? Not real familiar with the latter. Up or down that shot is perfect! Sassy's right; definatley need to frame those. Have fun! 🍹

Loverly ~ Keep thinking of the kindness DD2 showed toward your waiter on the cruise. You are truly a family of Loverlies 💕

Sassy ~ Your bathroom is going to be so gorgeous when it's done! Love art deco. You are creating a "masterpiece"! Ah, dog falls. Know them well. This is what I have to navigate......I'm in the doorway leading from the bedroom. Marti is parked in front of the door to get to the loo. In front of her is the narrow hallway to the rest of the house. Stubborn old lady will never move...........

    image

Wenchie ~ possums.....ewwwwwww. Be careful with those marshellows . Don't want to end up like the thing below. That woman was at an adoption event we were at a few years back. Carried that thing all around like a baby... Uck

    imageimage

Wren ~ "Squeakers the Whale" 🐱

M0mmy ~ I was thinking of you on the 4th. Glad you had a nice time at the park. Grrrr for the neighbors. We had some idjits lighting them off in our neighborhood too. 😡

JinieB ~ Love the hairdo! do you have it pulled up? Love your wispy bangs too. And Kirby 💞

Feline ~ Good afternoon? Purrrfect kitty meme! 😸

Gotta run....... Happy Monday and (((hugs))) to all!

M0mmy - We also have morons (red necks maybe, as this is Kentucky), still shooting off fireworks. Love the photo. Man and horse - would like to ride! What a handsome lady dog, too.

Sensi, lovely pictures. Nice head shape....I am jealous. Love the color of the sunset. We don't get that here.

Beatmon, Norway is on my bucket list too. I think you can also see the Northern lights in Finland too.

    Celia, vacation photo? Hehe

Ms . Sas, that was Junie.

OG56, HI! I thought you dropped in on the wrong (game) forum. Ha! Sorry about the repeat trauma!

Mags, bummer regarding the set back. Hugs

Mommy, believe it or not we had to call the cop last Saturday on our neighbors ( different ones from previous mentioned). They were still out in their backyard partying and drinking after midnight Bawling We are patient neighbors, but not that patient.

    MartiSillyHeart Possums for pets....Yikes

Got to run. Lunch time is over.

I failed my sleep study two weeks ago. Last night we did a mask fit. Respironics has a new mask that is about 1 y/o. It's name is DreamWear or Dreamwear. It's made of very soft silastic. You feel no pressure, no skin marks. lightweight.. The standard mask lasted only 5 minutes as it caused pressure on the bridge of my nose and I have old pressure points from old broken noses. (Baseball, basketball, and football).
