Thanks for the welcome shepkitty!
Now that I think of it, I was dx two years ago and I can't remember any words of encouragement from MO, BS,and RO. BC Center nurses gave me "oh I'm so sorry". MO said she didn't want to raise my hopes...and she was sorry I had all the radiation problems. I only had one positive node plus occult primary never found. No wonder I hate going to appointments. All they do is test and find new problems. I wish I could say I love them but I don't. Although my heart doc was very kind and sympathetic. He's from Slovakia.
Oh and young PCP thinks BC is not a problems because there are so many new treatments and we are living longer. Geez

Good Afternoon Owlies,
I have been moving for the last 3 days. OH MY GOSH!!!! How does one person accumulate SOOOOO much stuff? Especially fabric. If I set foot in any fabric store any time soon, I give one or more of you permission to come here and shoot me! My new apartment is a tad bit smaller than my last one, but this one has a walk-in shower which is a huge help with my hips & back.
Anyway, back to the fabric. Because of the loss of space I think I am going to have to consider donating some of this fabric, I just don't have the space. I am very grateful though that one friend spent 2 days helping me (moving & cleaning) and another 2 friends came today and moved all of the furniture and many boxes of fabric. Ugh! Then on top of all their slave labor, they then bought me lunch. How did I get so very blessed. There are still several more boxes (of fabric) in the old apt. and I need to do a final cleaning (i.e., oven, floors, carpet, windows). However my body right now is in so much discomfort, I am going to take a nap before I attempt to start again. A neighbor I've known for about 8 years just finished connecting my computer & T.V., so I am now reconnected to the universe. I promised to cook him a dinner in thanks. So good to have nice/knowlegeable people close by.
Anyway I will be back later. Nap Time!! ;0)

Junie, See if you can find the people who quilt and give each child a quilt in the hospital that they take home with them. I think it's called Linus something. They would love material and it would be put to good use.

JunieB ~ You have blessed so many with your kindness; So happy you are now the one being blessed. We are much alike in wanting to get things in order right away. Pinky-Swear-Promise to pace yourself and not over-do! 😟
Wren ~ Lovely idea for the fabric. I'm sure the children feel so special when they receive a quilt. Such a thoughtful and loving gift!
Marijen ~ That book looks good!
Feline ~ Safe and Happy travels!
M0mmy ~ We need more pics of Princess and Jackson! Posting them will keep your mind busy and seeing them will keep our minds happily diverted as well. Pet Therapy for all !
Sassy - You should be able to thrift a decent keyboard for a couple bucks. Or do we need to start a GoFundMe for you? 😛
Sensi ~ Thinking of you and Chance 💜
Loverly has been quiet........Hope the heat hasn't melted her!
Love n' Hugs to All!
Off to sleepy-time..........

Mari, that is a very good lesson plan. Actually, universal. Saved it. Also, nice to see you here
MO said she "Didn't want to get your hopes up." Well that's a kick you in the ass statement. Whippersnaper PCP thinks it's no biggy.
Ask Bestbird for a copy of her MBC book to take to this whippersnapper.
Shep always the gentle fixer HahahahGoFundme. I'm good and patient. I will get a new one in time. Maybe next month.
Mommy, how are you doing? it sucks, but we will listen .....hugs. I agree with Shep, can't have too many pictures of Princess and Jackson.
Feline missed you, you are gone by now, have a great time.
Yay Junie, or Junkie as the autocorrect keys changing your name to. DAMN machine. So, happy you now have a walk in. small joys of life. Nice friends, yes such a blessing.
Pattypeppermint, sorry you had a bad time. But yo sound good now. thanks about the b-day.

Remodel:Donnie completed another wall. he's such a good egg. Found a couple of mirrors I like a lot, but they are 35 inches wide. The space is 72 inches wide That would leave only 2 inches between them. I think that's to heavy. But I'll bring it here for opinions.

Keeping busy with the house and the kids.

Patty, So good to see you again!
SAS, Maybe 1 long mirror?
0 -
Sas, it's a beautiful mirror but I think it would be too much to have two large ones - overpowering comes to mind.

Sassy ~ Love the vanity, but why two sinks? You don't have a kitty.Or are you planning on getting one? Better add some molding to the vanity base lest it become a haven for cat toys or a hidey space for the kitty. Amazing how they can squish themselves like fuzzy little pancakes to get under the smallest of spaces.
(Who will be the first to know what I'm talking about? 🐱)
Wren's idea about one long mirror would look nice. If you don't find one you like, you could just buy the mirror plain, mount it and then make your own frame. Crown molding comes in long lengths and lots of designs. You can get it pre-painted or spray paint the colour you want it. We did that in our living room. The long shelf underneath the mirror is a long board we stained and added fancy antique looking trim to. The pic is pre-remodel....before we painted and made the back porch into a real room.
Glad to see your typing is more legible.....using the touch screen? A bluetooth keyboard might be a nice option - and cheap too....paid 3 bucks for the last one I bought - NEW!
EDITED to down size pic - didn't work.........

Mari ~ I fully concur with your thoughts on the round mirrors. Sorry Sas
When first DX'd 4 1/2 years ago, it was by an Ortho who expected to see some herniated discs, not a cancer eaten spine. He calmly told me I would "drop dead in 6 months". First MO was just as pleasant. He wanted to bombard me with chemo without even finding out where the primary cancer was or what it's properties were! "Some kind of breast cancer" was good enough for him. Thankfully I have an NCI cancer center a few hours away. BIG difference. Medical people who are kind, caring and actually know what they're doing. I love each and every one of the docs and nurses on my team.....I think they like me too
Can you switch to some nicer, smarter docs? Thinking of a discussion on a different thread - funniest shite I've read in quite a while....Where's a big loooong city bus when you need one?😜

I actually sat in a room with doctors laughing their heads off. Poor women's husband called the clinic that they were on their way and person on duty forgot to contact the paramedics to meet them. She died of heart attack with brain damage after a short hospital stay

Marri--paramedics and doctors. something's left out
Thanks everyone for suggestions. I'll work on it. there was a Humongous mirror there to begin with and I still have the large mirror from the other bathroom. I have extra marble that I could use for a shelf a 4-5 ich shelf
I love the mirror in the other bathroom. It has this tint to the mirror. makes me look healthy and my hair color is superb.
I also was going to contact the company and see if the have ovals at about around 25inch width.
lowes has the cocoa finish mirrors which would be the finnish as the vanity. but that's the expected and usual. not going for that. but it's not totally ruled out.
Shep hahaha, I specifically chose this because it was ball feet with space open below. The double sink is sized right for the room. 12 or13 feet long

She needed to go straight to the hospital, paramedics with ambulance were next door at Jack in the box Not knowing. Too much time was wasted..

I swear to fulfill, to the best of my ability and judgment, this covenant:...
I will respect the hard-won scientific gains of those physicians in whose steps I walk, and gladly share such knowledge as is mine with those who are to follow.
I will apply, for the benefit of the sick, all measures which are required, avoiding those twin traps of overtreatment and therapeutic nihilism.
I will remember that there is art to medicine as well as science, and that warmth, sympathy, and understanding may outweigh the surgeon's knife or the chemist's drug.
I will not be ashamed to say "I know not," nor will I fail to call in my colleagues when the skills of another are needed for a patient's recovery.
I will respect the privacy of my patients, for their problems are not disclosed to me that the world may know. Most especially must I tread with care in matters of life and death. Above all, I must not play at God.
I will remember that I do not treat a fever chart, a cancerous growth, but a sick human being, whose illness may affect the person's family and economic stability. My responsibility includes these related problems, if I am to care adequately for the sick.
I will prevent disease whenever I can but I will always look for a path to a cure for all diseases.
I will remember that I remain a member of society, with special obligations to all my fellow human beings, those sound of mind and body as well as the infirm.
If I do not violate this oath, may I enjoy life and art, respected while I live and remembered with affection thereafter. May I always act so as to preserve the finest traditions of my calling and may I long experience the joy of healing those who seek my help.
Such a travesty that for so many, The Hippocratic Oath has become The Hypocrite's Oath.
Mari ~ I am so sorry for that poor woman, her husband and her family. I am also so sorry you were there to see such cruel incompetence. No words.......
M0mmy! We could use some furbaby pics about now

So Sassy, just how many kitties do you plan on having nesting under the vanity? You might need more sinks.
And FYI, doggies are not the only risks for falls.....

Shep, My black cat likes to lie on the basement stairs, especially at night. He takes up almost the whole step. I remind him he doesn't know how to open cans.
