hi emerald, congrats on finishing the AC.  I didn't have taxol so no help there but I bet there's something in the chemotherapy forum.  BCO has a robust search feature as well.

Had today off work so got in a lovely long walk this afternoon while it was still in the 60's.

Glad I got out before the cold & rain came through.  Simmering soup stock tonight yum!

Going to watch the VP debate in an hour.  Anyone else planning to watch?

Happy 10/11/12 everyone!  ((hugs)) to all

Hi Emerald, Congratulations on finishing AC. I had 4 DD Taxol every 2 weeks. I had my treatments on Fridays and Neulasta shots on Saturdays. I was fine over the weekend but on Mondays, I was achy and wiped out. I did not miss any work due to side effects on AC but I did take every Monday after treatment off during Taxol. It could have been the cumulative effect of treatment, including the Neulasta shots. I had no nausea during Taxol. I was drowsier during the infusion due to the IV benadryl they gave me in clinic. I still continued to walk every day and I drank tons of water.  Good luck ~~ you're getting closer to being done with chemo!  Take care, Gina

hi all, another rainy day here but that's OK.  Good excuse to spend the day reading.

Wanted to encourage everyone to consider signing up for the Health of Women study:

    https://www.healthofwomenstudy.org/

Are we still on for Sunday Nov. 4th?  I'm 2+ hours away so not before 11 am please!

I don't need a drink so I vote for the Machine Shed as a convenient place on the highway.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!  ((hugs)) to all

Unfortunately, I had half a fill done after our visit and I've basically been bed ridden since.

    It's a Dean Koontz from 2011.  I'm 90 pages in and it's getting ooky-spooky so I took a break!

    Hi Ladies,

Been took a break for a bit.  Trying to stay busy and keep my mind free from all that I read on BCO.  Its nice to see that Wisconsin women are pulling together and keeping in touch.  Planning a trip with sisters, mom and a couple friends to Eau Claire's BC walk this coming weekend.  I hope to meet many new friends.  It will be nice to get away from the busy farm work for a couple of days.  We are also visiting a winery and having massages.....cant wait.

    Stay warm and dry

    Hugs

    Cindy

    EC = Eau Claire

Never been there before but my neice and sister walked last year.  Tons of activities I guess.  I am going simply to see the support end of it.  Very excited!  The winery tour and massage will be great also.  Willing to hook up with any and everyone.

    Enjoy the sunshine today

Hi Wendy. I'm on the other side of the state near lake Michigan. Used to drive thru Eau Claire when I lived in Red Wing, MN many years ago. Beautiful area.

Hi Wendy... I had to look at a map to see where Bloomer was... I'm over east of Wausau a little bit.

I am on the other side too - welcome to the club that no one wants to join.  The only thing that is worse, I think, is all of the political ads.  :)

Badger,  wanted to let you know about the field trips I've been on the last two weeks because I know you enjoy going for walks in and around Madison.  One to the Arboritum and one (today) to the Leopold Nature Center.  Worth taking the time to check out if anyone is in the area.  In two weeks we go to Horicon.  Not looking forward to being on a school bus for 3 hours with 65 middle school kids.  YUCK YUCK YUCK

    Hugs to all

    Fuzzy, WHAT TE DISASTER????

Oh ... I thought I posted about it already but I've been a little out of it...

After we met, I went to my appointment and they decided to give me a fill - they wanted to give me 100cc ... I started squirming at 15cc ... at 55cc she asked if I wanted her to stop because I was very uncomfortable and I told her that if I had the choice, then stop.

Well...let me tell you...it was a long drive home.  I was in agony for three days.  I'm still in pain but it's better than it was.  I've learned from others that shouldn't have happened.  I've had some clear liquid coming out of the skin - just a little - but that might help explain how much pressure is there.  Whew whew whew...I'm not doing that again.  I'm ready for them to just work with what I have...

ow fuzzy, I promise not to hug you Friday, don't want to cause you any more pain!

Cindy, I've been to Horicon and it was worth the drive.  'Course I wasn't on a school bus..

pebee, I'm with ya on the political ads.  All that money thrown at the few undecided voters.

Think of the hungry children we could feed with those millions of dollars.  Breaks my heart.

Did not watch the debate last night, Tuesday is date night and we went out for supper.

    Badger...LOL thanks! I know you're a hugger! (((((Hug))))

I watched some of the debate...the moderator couldn't control them and that annoys me. When I was in debate, you waited your turn and followed the rules.

    Hi girls,

Fuzz - sorry to hear that you've been in pain. I hope you're feeling better and not so inflated!

Badg - thanks for the offer of driving to lunch but I don't think I'll be able to join you guys. We've been very short-staffed this week, 2 out sick, 1 with a broken wrist and 1 on vacation ~~ whew~~! If something changes tomorrow, I'll let you know. It would be nice to see you and Fuzz again.

    Take care,  Gina

hi ladies, windy cold rainy weather - blech!  This'll bring down the last of the leaves.  DH will have to clean out the eaves again.  He'll love that - NOT!

Gina, I hear ya, we are down 1 in a unit of 5 so the rest of us are swamped.  But I'm gonna take the time for lunch for a change, instead of eating at my desk.  The offer stands, you know where to find me.  I'll probably need 15 mins to get there from downtown.

    Take care everyone!
