I've been to Eno Vino and it is more upscale in price and atomosphere than the other suggestions. The appetizers are great and they have a huge wine selection.
Badger - I like the Great Dane and the Hilldale location has plenty of parking. I just thought of somewhere else...Barriques, they have a few locations around town. They have wall of 100 wines and a small sandwich/salad menu.
I work downtown but live on the near westside so although, I'm flexible. I usually take the bus to work but will make arrangements to drive depending on where we meet.
My sister and I went to the badger game yesterday and the weather sure cleared up nicely. Glad to see them playing better.

Are you aiming for Friday, 9/28 for an early evening get-together in Madison? I drive to my part-time job on the west side (hubby has his office near Monona Terrace so we will often stay for dinner at some of the places listed). He can fend for himself until I'm ready to pick him up! Let me know where you will be & I will try to make it there by 6pm...

Badger, if downtown is the location, I'll take you up on your offer! Sounds like a plan, anywhere is ok then. I am looking forward to this. I will probably leave Port early and either spend time with my son, or at Johnson creek! LOL it will be my first time driving that far, should be interesting

hi all, yay this is coming together. Gina, what time do you get off work?
Mary, yes it's an after-work on Fri 9/28 and we'd love to have you join us!
If we are voting, my first choice is the Great Dane downtown.
My second choice is the Great Dane at Hilldale.
As for time... 5:00 / 5:30 ??

I will be where ever at what ever time....Just hoping that an address will be posted to whereever it is...
So, if I am reading this right....September 28, 5:30 pm...Madison...
Which means...just need a spot, right? Great Dane downtown would have my vote.

Great Dane downtown is 123 E. Doty Street and there's a parking ramp right next door.

Happy Happy Joy Joy, what a great start to the week!

It's so nice that we can get this organized! Great Dane Downtown works for me.
Badger - I'm done at 4pm, what about you? Also, there is another bco member from Madison that hasn't been actively posting for a while, but we have shared some PMs when she began treatment because we have the same MO. I'm going to PM her to let her know about our get together.
Really looking forward to meeting everyone (and seeing Badger, again)! Gina

Great Dane downtown 5:30, Sept. 28, it is. Let's make this happen. Anybody near Milwaukee want to ride in to Madison together?
0 -
Gina, I'm also done at 4 but might flex my schedule to come in a bit later then stay a bit later. Either that, or we can get a good head start on the others!
Cold nights but gorgeous days, got out for a noontime walk around the Capitol square yesterday and plan same for today.
Take care, everyone!

Hi ladies:
Thanks, Gina, for letting me know about the get-together. I wish I could make it but this is my incredibly busy time at work. Maybe next time.
Just a quick update - MO found nothing new at my last appointment - the one he suggested because he thought there was something odd at the incision site. I have to go back in October for my 6 month Metformin/placebo trial check-up followed by another visit in November - my one year post rads visit. Can anyone tell me where the last year went?!
Is anyone else obsessed with Robin Roberts and her story? I am thinking about her constantly.

Looks like I am done with Herceptin. Cardiologist said wait and hope it comes up, but noore. I am really hoping new study due Oct. 1 will show 6 months as good as a year......

I attended the ABCD educational meeting in Brookfield a couple weeks ago where Robin Robert's case was mentioned as a late long-term side effect of her breast cancer treatment (she had chemo & radiation in 2007/08). When 1st diagnosed, it was described as being "caught early"...
Good thing the UW football game is out of town this weekend - I usually drive past the Great Dane in order to pick my husband up a couple blocks away and they are always busy! Don't try to save room at a table for us since we won't arrive until 6pm but I will look for: how many of you? I'll be wearing jeans and perhaps my hot pink Under Armour shirt which helps with upper arm compression for the lymphedema. I'm not real tall, have dark blond curly hair & glasses.

Oh Pooh.
Can we do the November meeting somewhere between Madision and Milwaukee? I would love to come but it is high school football season and my son is playing.

hi all, I checked the Great Dane's website and they only take reservations for groups of 8+.
We'll be four for sure - Gina, Monica, Fuzzy & me - with Mary & DH joining us around 6.
I'll get there by 5 and hang out in the bar and see about a table for six people at 5:30.
If anyone else can come at 5, feel free. I'm 5'8" with short gray hair & glasses. Not thin but not fat either. Will be wearing jeans and most likely a purple Relay for Life t-shirt.
Another nice day today. Had a lunch date so didn't walk at noon but had yoga class tonight.
Everyone recovered from the Packers game on Monday?

November shoulod work for me too! I'm hoping to be starting this reconstruction stuff soon so that would be my only hang up...but my surgeon is in Milwaukee so...if I get a date, I'll let you know and maybe we can meet up?
Yes...I will be there Friday. Not too sure what I'll be wearing yet but it's usually kinda obnoxious so...I'll let ya know Really looking forward to it!

Hi Wisconsin ladies! Haven't been here for a few days, so how's everyone doing? I had my 3 rd treatment yesterday so I got 1 more to go then I start my taxol.but yesterday they gave me the flu shot while getting my chemo, then last night I started feeling super dizzy so I was wondering if anyone experience anything like that?not a nice feeling .hope everyone is doing good!!
0 -
hi emerald, congrats on 3 down & 1 to go on the AC. How many taxols will you do?
I had my first flu shot ever last year about this time but I was more than a year PFC.
It did not make me feel dizzy. My sense of balance is off since chemo and I chalk it up to the TC messing with the tiny inner-ear hairs that help with balance and equilibrium.
Makes for an interesting yoga practice!

I'm planning to be there at 5pm so Badger doesn't have to hang around the bar alone! I'm getting over a rotten cold but I don't want to miss this gathering. Looking forward to meeting everyone. Gina

XXOOXXOO
Had a great time ladies...cheers to new friends!0 -
Thank you all, I had a blast! To new friends! Hope our next one will be even better. Of course, ONE of us made a new friend and didn't even know it....... LOL

LOL you mean that guy looming over me in the bar? I'm so married I didn't even notice.
Had a great time! Got home around 9:30 and was asleep in 15 mins. Must've been the Tammy-Tommy debate on public radio I listened to while driving home.
Would love another meet-up. November in the Milwaukee area? IDK the Milw area but have a GPS and can find most places if I have a street address. A Sat ot Sun would prob be better for me due to the longish drive home.
Glorious weather today. Hope everyone has a chance to enjoy it. ((hugs)) to all

I would definitely make an effort to be a Milwaukee area meetup. I actually live north of Milwaukee, so the Madison one was too much for me after DIEP flap. I'm glad you guys had fun!

I'd be up for Milwaukee. Either downtown or west side, or Mayfair area. I live north of Milwaukee, so Jbug you could ride with me if you want.

Thanks for flagging me down and saving room in the booth for us! There are tons of places along the interstate that might be fun in November - the Machine Shed has large tables. A weekend late morning or early afternoon would be fine (I'd want the long distance drivers to be able to get home before dark, especially by later in the month when there could be weather). Like I told Badger, back in the day, we had "pen pals" from various places. Now we have Internet friends.

Count me in!! I'd love the Machine Shed!
There's a Public Market on Water Street that's really fun...just a thought.
LOL!!! That man at the bar!!!!! OMG that was funny!0 -
Hi ladies! It was so nice to meet everyone last night! It will be nice to catch up in Nov. Thank you to all of you who drove to Madison and back. Take care & enjoy the beautiful weekend. G

I've driven past The Machine Shed many a time but never stopped.
The Best Breakfast in America? WOW! http://www.machineshed.com/
Might be a better option than downtown Milw for us coming from the west.

Moonflwr: I am actually in West Bend area, so that may not work well for us. You would probably take 43 and it would be faster for me to take 45 depending on where we end up going. The Machine Shed menu looks good.
