fuzzy & moonflower: I have a haircut in Brookfield at 2pm on Wednesday but could look for you before or after that (also could possibly change my appointment time). Amazed that the retreat experience was so negative, at least she didn't pay them any money!

Isn't there a Boston Market on Blue Mound, near Moorland Road? I know one of the staff at a plastic surgery clinic just north of that area, not too far from the hospital.

I lived in Wausau for 15 years and like to go back for visits - unfortunately, 2 out of our last 3 trips have been for funerals. One was a tragic car/deer crash which means everyone should be extra cautious & watchful on the roads during the next several weeks...

45-ish here today.  Had a lovely nap this afternoon.  Ordered a thermal headband from Lands End so my ears stay warm without wearing a hat.  Phoned in my order to help someone in Dodgeville keep their job.  Got a 40% discount with a promo code so it was a great deal.

Cold-weather culinary inclinations.  Got butter softening in the mixer for choc chip cookies.

Roasting something for supper tomorrow.  Cook up apples for homemade applesauce. mmm

Mary, sorry you lost friends that way.  This is a prime time for the deer to run and they can come out of nowhere.  I know, I got hit by one once.  Dang thing ran smack into the drivers side of my car, which was totaled.  The deer got up and leapt away.

Yes..Bluemound! That's the one. Would one o'clock work for everyone? Dr. Mixter is my PS. He's incredible...

I made Choc chip cookies and added coconut oil then some banana bread...just after an enormous breakfast! I love to feed DD!!!

I've hit...are you ready for this...FIVE deer. Three were instantly killed. They're a lot bigger when you hit them. I think I'm getting pretty good at it. Just kidding...I'd never hurt any animal on purpose! It really sucks when they take out a window. One jumped in my passanger window...in January...20 below zero, Two babies in the back seat, 3 hours from home!! There were 3 state patrol, two fire trucks, an ambulance and they thought I stole my children!!! Juneau county cops are very bored apparently!

It was so strange because...this wasn't my first road kill...and they wanted to give me a breathalizer and asked me all kinds of weird questions...put me in a patrol car and everything.  I was like, "WTH is wrong with you people.  My children are left alone in a car with no heat on the side of the road and you think I'm drunk because I hit a deer?"  Oh I was po'd.  Then I asked them to draw their weapons and shoot that damn deer because my ex-H would expect me to have it in the trunk (true story).

Gotta love Wisconsin, you get your dozen-DWI guys still driving around and you get rousted.

People around here sometimes hit cows that got out of their enclosure and were standing in the middle of the road..

Oh yes....I was coming home one night...a few sheets to the wind if I remember right...couldn't figure out what was in the road until I was right up on it.  They are kinda camoflauged really...but it was a Dairy Cow.  My life flashed before my eyes.  I was in a station wagon.  Pretty sure she would have won that one.  That was also in Juneau county as a matter of fact.  LOL  I have to stay away from there I guess.

Cows are large animals for sure.  Lived out in the country for a while in an old farmhouse.  Our landlord rented the pasture to a dairy farmer.  You get within ten feet of a cow and realize how much you underetimate their size driving by in a car.

Yup, better stay the heck outta Juneau County!

I worked on a dairy farm for a few years. In Kendal. Wi. My most favorite job ever. I think they only had 75 or so. Its their eyes that scare me. Its like their constantly angry and thinking about destruction. LOL I think too much sometimes.

fuzzy, LOL at the PO'd cows.  They do have an evil gleam in their eyes.  I think they're all males tho, which might explain the anger issues.  The ones who lived by us were females and spent most of their day placidly eating.  Did get a good laugh one day when an Amish buggy went down the road and some cows decided they wanted to race.  They ran along the fence line hell bent for leather, staying even with the horse pulling the buggy.  One of the funniest things I've ever seen in my life.

Um, My DH went to his folks this Saturday in Plainfield, WI. and, um, it snowed! Yikes! He started up the snowblower for me before he left for the week, just in case. Wow, don't even want to think about it.

Fuzzy always has the best stories! Hope I can make it to the Boston Market at 18340 Blue Mound Rd (in case anyone needs a street address for their GPS - it's very close to Brookfield Square) on Wednesday: we need a garage door repair done, preferably in the morning...

Well, the garage door guy didn't arrive until 1pm but couldn't do the repair today anyway so I took myself out to lunch. Had not been to a Boston Market for a while - soup & sandwich were both good. Did fuzzy make it to the doctor appointment? I wore my cow t-shirt and especially wanted her to see it! I even drove over to Baker's Square to see if anyone was there (free pie on Wednesdays makes that a nice place to visit if you're hungry...)

We did! But be sure to ask Fuzzy about her new best friend, Terry, and the other friends she made. Not to mention ask her how she managed to talk the manager into giving us both a coupon for a free dinner..... LOL
