    BWS--

I had a reduction and lift before radiation and I lost a LOT of sensation. Some people can apparently get sensation intensified but not me. That being said I do have my nipple, it just doesn't feel that...nipply?

Here is a link to the article, she did live in Spring Green, that didn't surprise me, but Richland Center did. I used to go to Steuben every year for a canoe trip, love that area.

    Too bad about the game!

The game was a bummer. Had to laugh at the specials of the day from one of our favorite restaurants Sunday morning the choices were: The Championship Burger, or The Roasted Seahawk.

I was happy for most of the game until towards the end. Even though I was pulling for the Packers, I root for Seattle too because I have family there.

    YAY Homer, great news!

DEXA scan this morning was quick & easy.  Should get results in a week.  This test was to set a baseline as new med is linked to increased risk for osteoporosis.

Anyone live near Reedsburg?  Check out the "Wisconsin Writer's Quilt".  It was made as a fundraiser for the Reedsburg Public Library but they decided it was too beautiful, and too meaningful, to auction or raffle.

HI ladies...i have been having trouble explaining to my partner about what sensation is like after a mastectomy/recon with an implant. She keeps wondering why would skin be numb as it has nerves in it too?? Could someone give me a better way of describing what I might expect to feel ? Is it like just pressure but no cold/heat? or??

yes, skin has nerves, but the nerves were cut. Usually below the cut they work. But above the cut they don't work. Also there are not as many nerves in areas of the breast that connect to anything if you can imagine. At least that's my explanation.

thanks Moon....maybe this will explain it better to her. I have my next mammo, BS appt, and PS appt on February 10th....so i get to save a couple trips. Hopefully no issues on mammo this time so I can look forward to other surgery options. Im excited but also nervous but you ladies give me courage/strength...if you can survive it so can I.

Great pic! Thanks for sharing. North Central WI is predicted to get only flurries. For those in the snow zone, stay safe & warm

It's just starting to snow here.  Now they are saying we may get 10-12 inches in southern WI before it's done tomorrow.  I stocked up on groceries and hit the library for books and movies (All the President's Men, Bullitt, and Cabaret).  Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! ♥

Took 45 mins but got the layer of heavy snow off the driveway & walk before the temps drop and it turns into concrete.  We got a good 6-7 inches overnight.  Still snowing but it's a lighter flake.  The wind has picked up so it's blowing & drifting.  Looks like the SE corner of the state is in for it with lake effect snows.

Homer, hope you're recovering apace.  No shoveling for you!  :-)  ♥ to all

Hello to all. I hope those in the Southern part of the state are safe and cozy. We didn't even get any flurries!

I am doing well with my recovery. I am 17 days out from surgery and getting back into the swing of things. I have been cleared to be more active with the exception of lifting and upper body exercise. I am doing gentle stretching and range of motion but being careful. Incision sites are very sensitive, so still trying to figure out what is most comfortable with clothing. I was happy to come out of the "world's tighest tube top" on 1/29. The surgeon had me wear it 24/7. I'm not complaining, tho, as no issues with seromas. I drove yesterday & was glad to have my small car pillow. I'm Sure I will use that for awhile. I hope everyone is do well
