BB- you cannot do cut and paste here. You have to use the tool bar above to upload pics and links?

I got into doing yoga retreats about 10 or more years ago as my practice developed. I have done trips to Hawaii, Costa Rica, Italy and around the state of NM too. With her and with other teachers, but she is my favorite. This yoga teacher got into doing a lot of international trips the past decade, but said this weekend she is focusing more on retreats around NM and also the four corners area now. She is looking at a spot up in CO for one that would be a great location. I hope to do more with her now as she focuses back state side. I am not up for the big international retreats anymore. Too much flying and too much energy required on all fronts.

My energy is good, but it sometimes fizzles quickly?

After temps that were up to the 60s this weekend, we are getting a snow storm today! Old man winter has returned.......

BB- We did an exercise this weekend to write things out and burn them in the fireplace. Ever tried that? It can be as simple as releasing a bad experience, a type of person we keep attracting, a belief system or habit, etc. It is very powerful. Maybe if a letter is too much, start smaller? Write out smaller things and burn them somewhere safe?

Did you ever hear anything on that job you interviewed for? Where they going to make a decision soon? Have you seen anything else that looks interesting out there?

Jazzy - Sorry about your relative's passing. {{Hugs}} Traveling is good for the soul. I probably mentioned that, years ago when I was young and single, I traveled as often as possible. I plan to do so again one day - that's my dream, anyway. Did it snow there yesterday? We had our snowstorm last week, and now the snow is almost gone. Tomorrow the temperature is supposed to reach the 60's, and lots of rain is expected.

Enerva - Glad you had a nice visit with your nephew. Good luck with studying.

Melp - Hope you're doing well.

BB - I'm with ya'. If I were in that situation, I would say exactly the same thing to my sons. You were just being straightforward and honest. As to making our loved ones happy, we all want to make the people we love happy. But, in order to do so, we have to be happy, which means we have to take care of ourselves first. This has been a difficult lesson for me to learn myself; I'm still not there yet with this lesson in my life.

Simplicity - How're you doing? Hope all is well.

I had another oncology appointment yesterday, and the oncologist said I'm doing well. While there, one of the nurses told me she was DX last year and had surgery, etc. So, I found myself now in the position of the BC-survivor sharing info with a much-newer survivor. Enjoyed being in the supportive role this time. :-) While talking with her, I also found out how much nurses earn. They earn much more than I realized. That got me thinking about becoming a nurse... lol... but I don't think I'm cut-out to be one. It's funny - I'm 51 now, and I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up. LOL.

Wishing you all a good day!

Well, then becoming a nurse is definitely out of the question for me. At this point in my life, I really don't feel like studying that hard. LOL. I'd rather finish the degree I never quite finished many years ago. Anyway, blue collar work is looking very appealing to me these days. LOL.

I agree with what you said, BB, and with the way you said it. It doesn't sound as if you put them in the middle of anything. Rather, you just gave them a heads-up. What you said sounds like, "Look, this is what's happening, and this is how I feel." How's your youngest doing? I hope he's doing well now.

oh bb I am so sorry .I have been so crazy thus week I didn't even come to out site. I see what is going on and I wish I could make it better for you. I hope all goes well soon for you and your boys .

So I got some crazy news. So my nephew sent me a msg yesterday telling me him and his wife have decided to move to his father in law house. The history is as follows. My nephew father in law lives in a big house with his second daughter and the daughter s boyfriend. And thus xtmas the dautter decided that she wants to move to Australia. So my nephew s father in law asked my nephew and his wife to move in the house since the other daughter is moving over seas. Anyway I told my nephew that I will move back into my apt. OK is not mine lol but it was the apt I used to rent ti the city. So I ll move and rent my condo. Yes it's crazy to go rent when I have a condo but the truth is that my condo is a 2 bdrm and is just too much for one salary. I ll try renting it so it pays for the Morgane and I ll rent my old place which is way cheaper. I know it's not a bright thing to do specially cuz moving is a huge headache but I ll save on commuting no more train and I ll be back in the city which I miss so much. So I am in a way happy and very excited yet stress and worry .

Anyway hope you are all ok I have a mid term exam this Saturday I ll try to post more often.

    Love you bb

Keep us in the loop let me know if there is anything I can do :( to make u feel better

Wish u were here .u could move in with me

BB, I'm sorry about your back. So they think surgery will help? One of my co-worker's had back surgery, and it made a huge difference in his life, he feels so much better now. Surgery seems to have come a long way since years ago.

E, renting out your condo might make sense - maybe it will make good investment property for you?

    good morning all

I am so dame tired I am on the train and is so packed.

BB - Sorry to hear about the back problems. Rant here whenever you want; that's what we're all here for - to support each other. I hope the doctors can help you with those back problems. Other people I've known were helped.

E - I hope you find good tenants for your condo, if you decide to move back to the apartment.

Cubbie - Good to see you again.

    Goodnight, all.

hi ladies, I had a busy week and weekend. Saturday went to class and passed the exam yahoooo mid term done. Then went looking for a storage place and made reservations for one 5x10 not too big but enough in case I am not able to sell the bedroom set I have on the guess room. Hoping to sell it before March 12.

I then today went to the office picked up the documents for listing my place . Got those fill and tool pictures of my apt. Bought a lock box . Tomorrow I ll make a additional key. And on Wednesday I ll list my place available for April 01.

As soon as I list it I ll give u girls the mls # so u can give me ur opinion.

I am having a headache just thinking about the hole move thing but I have a feeling this is for the best. :)

    good morning America lol

Yes my nephew will help but I ll rent movers to do the big sofa and my bed. I ll try to sell the other bed if not I ll put in storage I must take a few more pictures of the lobby entrance which is beautiful and the gym and the Billiar room. Or maybe of the gardens and the tennis court lol

Yeterday I was to lazy to go take those pictures .today I ll make an appointment to have profecionals insulate the furnace pipes cuz in the summer if you use the AC the condensación leaks water .I never got it done before due to the fact that I never use the AC. But I ll get it done in order to rent it so to avoid issues with a tenant. People here complain about winter but the first thing the turn on all day is the AC.

I am Sooo happy to move but not happy about the stress it involves lol

Hope every body is having a great week .

I ll pass by the office today to bring in the listing contract I should have it list by Wednesday the latest.

    Wish me luck lol

    Morning Ladies,

Congrats Enerva!! Cannot imagine moving at this point in my life. Bleh. The thought makes me quiver. I need to get myself in order over here financially. Past 10 months, well, I just haven't done my best at tending to finances.

BB- How is your back feeling today? Vent here whenever you like :) What were here for.

Hey Life! Feels oddly good to be in a position to be able to give others some answers and a heads up or two, doesnt it? How have you been feeling lately?

    Cubbie, how are you doing?

Hey Jazz, that yoga retreat(?) Sounds wonderful. If I remember correctly, that's where you went last.

Melp, how are you hanging in there?

I've been trying to keep up via email. Things have been crazy. I work, cook, and clean. All else is sleep. haha Been so tired.

Hope all have a great day!

Good morning friends- I have been a woman on the go these past few weeks and got another busy week ahead. Our vendor contract finally got signed (which was supposed to happen in December) and so we are now working at warp speed to get this project more purposefully launched. There are some things I am challenged with at the moment like my client trying to "micromanage" me, which she has never done before. This project is high visibility, and perhaps putting her in a high stress situation? But I am not feeling the level of trust I have had with her in the past, so some work to do there. Other parts I like include being in the middle of the movers and shakers. Today I am joining some executive meetings. I reminded myself to just do my work and not get involved in the politics and go live my life when I leave for the day.

Went to a Superbowl party with some friends last night and had a good time. Many heavy drinkers at this event, but I was just drinking non-alcoholic. I did not need to feel slow or loggy today with the important meetings with the new vendor today. Food was amazing. I brought some fruit, which was a welcome addition to the table of great eats.

E- you sound very organized and focused on what you need to do around this move. It is such a hassle to move, like Simplicity, I cannot imagine doing it right now, but have been de-cluttering my house for awhile so if at some point, I want to make the change to downsize, I can. Wishing you luck and the energy you need to get through this.

Simplicity- ha, the yoga bliss wore off really fast last week! This past weekend was focused on catching up. Two busy weeks and loosing that weekend in between resulted in me scrambling a lot lately. I had some good catch up time this weekend, and have to spend some time tonight on tax work. See jazzy run, run jazzy, run!

Life- thank you for your kind words about my cousin and the loss in our family. I talked to her on Friday and she is very sad and seems overwhelmed, but her son was there helping her through some things. She has an awesome sister who has been by her side as well. They were high school sweethearts and married a long time.

    Are you doing okay?

Cubbie- how are you doing? Are you finding your way into the new normal with time? Are you starting any meds post radiation?

Melp- been thinking about you and sending you love and energy. I know you have an enormous amount to get your head around right now. We are here to listen whenever you want to share anything?

Lilly- are you doing alright? How are the dogs?

BB- I am sorry you have not been feeling well. I hope your providers can help you with some solid solutions to ease your pain. I know this is important for you to be able to accept new work too. Hugs sister, wishing you better days.

I have one more apt tomorrow to wrap up my visit with the BS, which is usually just a rubber stamp on the imaging. As you have heard me say, least favorite provider and hate that office too. Will be glad to park them again until the summer.

    Have a good week friends!

Hi, everyone. My computer is completely fried, and I've been busy trying to salvage whatever records that I can. Meanwhile, I can only visit here using a phone.

Enerva - Congratulations on the test, and good luck with your moving plans.

Simplicity - Good to hear from you. You sound very busy. I'm doing well. Hope you are, too.

Jazzy- I'm doing well. About the micromanagement at your job - you're probably right that she is feeling worried about the job. But, oh, micromanagement always drove me crazy, too. lol

Melp, BB. - Hope you're both doing well.

Cubbie - Hope you're doing well with the meds.

All- Today I had a conversation with a woman who told me her sister passed away. I gathered from the clues that her sis had BC. Her sis had young children. That made me so sad for the woman and her sister and their family.

Later I was out looking at computers and other electronics. I am amazed by what's out there. My kids are all computer geeks, but I know so little in comparison, so I was just walking around amazed by the all-in-one computer-monitors and everything else.

Hope you're all enjoying a good night's rest. Have a good day today.

Life- get a big thumb drive to copy off your important docs. If your computer crashes, you can take it to a local computer store and get your hard drive copied off. That happened to me two years ago with my best work computer. I am going to buy a new laptop for my work this spring, but need to get a big more income on the new contract under my belt. There are many choices now! I go with Lenovo laptops for my work, the best business computers.

Things were a bit better with the client yesterday. We have also been pushing through a lot of push back with people in this organization, and think that has her very bugged. It is always a drag for me to fight people on the work I was brought in to do. I just have a little mantra "I am just here to do the work" and direct them to talk to management if they have any greater questions. I may just be caught in the political fire fights that are so common in this place. I got to sit in a senior level strategic conversation yesterday and that was cool.

I had a long day yesterday with no breaks, but today will be going to meet some folks for lunch with a prof org I am involved with, and later have a BS apt to finish up my 6 month. I don't expect much from that, usually the rubber stamps on the imaging that was already done and told was okay by the radiologist.

    Wishing everyone a good day.

Finished my 6 month follow up today with BS. Although she is my least favorite of the providers, we had the best of our visits today. Done with cancer docs until the summer.

Melp- you have been on my mind a lot. How are you doing friend?

hi jazzygirl I had an appointment with radiation oncologist yesterday. Got results of an MRI I had on my spine.

Chemo oncologist thought the tumour may be pushing against my spinal cord but the MRI showed it isn't!! its not giving me pain or weakness in my legs so the radiation doctor said he didn't see the point in doing radiation at this stage seeing as I'm not getting symptoms.

Melp- well that sounds like good news that the tumor is not interfering with the spine cord. The tumor is in the vertebrae? I am glad you don't have to do rads. Treatment for the things we need and nothing more.

BB- the client site is a rough place this week but I voted myself home to work here from today. I have worked enough for them to know they have their moments, and so I just said I could get more done remotely. Nice part of self employment! have a presentation to put together for a kickoff and best way to get things done is to be away from the distractions. I am already having a productive day and working in my sweats!

    Did something happen?

BB- sorry to hear things are not going well. How nice that your son is coming to help you though. Getting your back into good health is very important for you now.

I do well at home because the structure at the client site is very open and noisy. Some times it is quiet when the coders I sit with work from home. But yesterday they were all running amok packing up the coders to move. So I said "I will get out of your way and go home for the day." We are running late on this project so the heat is on. You do have to be very self disciplined to work for yourself as well as at home. I get twice as much work done from here as I do on site.

BB- oh I like my work sometimes. I think what I like more is the freedom to choose projects, not deal with the BS politics, decide what I want to make, decide when I want to take time off. My new project is interesting, but feel there is still a lot of infighting in this organization and it makes working on these initiatives harder than they need to be. Being home today did me good. Still have some work to finish up, but made some huge progress today with catch up.

Hoping your back feels better. Nothing worse than a hurting body. And sometimes we need help. I am not good about asking for it either. Having bc showed me I cannot always handle it all on my own?

Melp, glad to hear the RO says you don't need radiation.

E, your condo is beautiful. I love those windows and the view.

BB, you have so much going on, I don't know how you keep up with it all. No wonder you missed an appointment. My experience with friends who have fought these kind of battles in court is that eventually the judge gets wise, but it takes so long. I'm glad the chiropractic is helping your back, anyway.

Jazzy, there are definitely times when I could get more done some place else. I couldn't work from home though, too many distractions. Maybe the library, though. I've never had the kind of job where working remotely was an option - there's always been something I had to physically put my hands on.

Valentines Day not always easy for single folks. Lots of focus on what is not there vs. what is? Don't forget to be grateful for the love in your life from family, friends, church communities, co-workers, neighbors, etc.
