I have heard the real estate class is rough. We have them here. I don't know how you do it Enerva!
I get my first Prolia shot tomorrow. I think Jazzy suggested moving it to Friday, so I did. Her and the Onc nurse say flu like symptoms will set in the day after. Bleh.
Classes start next Tuesday and I have an opportunity to sit in on the class I had to withdraw from, 5 weeks from finish date, with my diagnosis. I have an opportunity to sit in prior to registering next go around. I am scared poopless. Afraid I am not ready? Afraid to fail? Afraid I will have issues retaining information and learning new information? bleh Won't know unless I try.
Hope all have a good day!

Simplicity- the Prolia shot will hopefully only make you feel a bit achy. It is not like something that gives you bad sinus, cough, vomiting, etc. like the REAL flu does. I am able to function after it just fine, I just don't plan to do anything big for a few days after, but you should be able to keep up with the normal stuff. That is my hope for you. I am getting my next on on the 27th. I have my next follow up starting the week of the 23rd.
The stuff really works though. I was on it 18 months and was almost back to where I was with my bone health. I will have my next bone density test end of this year. This drug (denusaub) is a lower dose of the same drug they give to cancer patients to manage bone mets. It is really oriented to our needs.
Another benefit of Prolia, it helps reduce reoccurrence risk. I saw this on BCO a year plus ago and talked to my MO about it last time. Newer findings at that time but he thought it was good news. A two fer drug. Metformin is another one of those, helps with blood sugar and known to reduce cancer reoccurrence.

There is also a Prolia thread I started as there was no info here on it when I started two years ago. You can post any questions there for others too Simplicity:

Thanks Jazzy! I did move it to Friday as you suggested (I think). So, hopefully, minimal SE's, and it's a weekend kids are gone so that's good.

Morning ladies.
Looks delicious Enerva!!

A bit achy but so far so good on my prolia shot but I have to have a US on my gall bladder Tue am Oy.

Oh no BB. When are your appointments? Please let us know!
idk what's going on. I have had abdominal pain since my DIEP (or noticeable since then?). This past week I have had awful chest pains. Smack in the middle of my chest. Only way I can think to describe (first was last Sunday night) is a very large man with a very large shoe standing on my chest. I have never had GI issues. I know reflux. This was not either. They sent me for an EKG immediately since I had one on the way to the Dr (3x last week. Never had them before). EKG was fine. My PCP (love him. He is a great Dr. Very personable) thinks it may be my gall bladder. He said he has seen it cause chest pain before. He pressed just at the meeting point of my ribs in the center of my chest, and it hurt. So US on Tuesday, need to go pick up my meds...kind of waiting to see what US says.
I also ripped my tum a tad yesterday trying to pull this damn group of stitches out. Grrrrr. Not bad, just freaked me out.
Steaks on the grill. I have been terribly lazy except for my friends remembrance of life gathering. Her daughter, my friend, did a great job and just amazes me with her strength. She had a table set up of her moms stuff that wont be used or needed. I made sure her crochet friends got her needles, and I kept some of her rosaries. Nice to see she was so loved by many....

I have seen a lot of death in my years, unfortunately. Always different thou. Pauline was ready mentally, but her body kept hanging on. Her kids were ready too. Makes me rethink the whole idea of medically assisted suicide.
Will do. You do as well. I probably have gall stones or something. At this point, it isn't BC so...
I hate geek squad. Dishonest bastages. That's about the 10th person I saved this morning. "We can't even get to your hard drive, but if you buy a new computer from us, we can transfer your files" ID 10 T's
I woke up grumpy. Had nightmares last night

Hi friends- back from my yoga retreat and had a great experience again at this place. I went to this place up in the mountains I went last year for the same retreat, and had wonderful movement, fabulous vegetarian food, great community of yogis, got out to do some outdoor things, soaked in the hot springs, etc. Went a long way to help with restoration after coming off the year plus long contract. My body, mind and spirit feel more in balance and that should help me to really focus on some things I need to do this week. I have some tax stuff to get focused on and some major dental work on Tuesday (ugh....)
Simplicity- How are you doing with the Prolia shot SEs? You had it on Friday? I hope it is not too bad for you.
I was sorry to hear Pauline had passed. I remember her from your FB support page and knew she was a fellow cancer patient. I am glad you were able to befriend her daughter and that the services went okay. Hugs sister. Cancer sucks.
BB- concerned about your health issues you shared. I hope there is nothing serious going on. I hope the endocrinologist can help you, mine is helping me to get my blood work in a better place and loosing weight slowly now. They have a much more big picture view of everything.
I bet that guy ran away because he never followed through with you vs. anything to do with the way you look. Better men out there
E- it looks like you are plugging away at the accounting class and also baking tasty bread. We had this really cool protein bread at the retreat called "cloud bread" that is so light and fluffy and delicious. I have to find the recipe......
June- how are you doing in the new year? Are you getting a lot of snow back east?
New Mexico is getting a big winter storm, rain in the lower elevations and snow up high. It was pouring up there overnight and snow above 8000 ft. The drive home was easy although some flooding in some areas (I was also worried about rock slides as we are up in a canyon). Going to relax the rest of the day and work to keep my yoga bliss for a bit longer. Will share some pics tomorrow.

oh ladies I am so sad weekend is over
I worked from home on Saturday only 1 hour and 1 hour OT Friday night. But for what ever reason I feel the 2 days on the weekend just fly by and I get nothing done. In terms of school . At home I also did not do laundry ; ( I must say Saturday I woke up around 8 but was not able to exit my bed till 10am just thinking and just lazy but also piss that so much in my brain I can really sleep well. I wanted to ask you all something . So before bc I used to be a weird one .lol I mean a person who 's dreams most times came to reality like I did not believe in much but I did believe in my dreams cuz I saw things happened very often. So hear me out. When I started chemo my dreams stopped completly I had no dreams my brain was blanc like I had insomnia most times and when I slept it was with drugs and I had no dreams at all and it was a very extrange thing. From been someone whom was dreaming almost every night to none all of the suden . So I wanted to ask of it was only me or if you guys had similar experience did you guys dream? Anything good dreams or bad ?
Anyway even after chemo finished my usual me was no back my dreams recently came back now say a year ago. No often once in a wile and at firts it was like I would wake up and know I had a dream but I could not remember details. Then it started to improve and what I need to share with you all is that now more regularly and I am not sure I can handle it lol I mean it seams my brain got use to not having any and now I am been annoyed with my dreams as if I am not resting ? Do I make any sence? You ladies are the only once I can speak to about this . I haven't talk to any one about this I always fear people may think I am losing it ?
Anyway Saturday morning I was in my bed staring at the ceiling thinking what is happening to me ? I can even sleep in my brain is tormented with even night mares most are bad dreams like I am in a far country walking up and down street scared lost as if I don't know where I am. Or I dream I am is a far away place with no car no money or home to go to I don't even know the people I see . I just wanted to share with you all about this cuz is really annoying and I wonder if it's my brain trying to act the way it used to before chemo fry my brain cells?
Anyway I went today to the scaking class and it was fun at least it was 0 so felt better. Lots of excises with cones and well I am getting the hang of it.
The therapist which is giving me some massages every Thursday told me she think two more weeks and I am done cuz her massages seems as if have stopped the issue from progressing but it seems as if it won't correct the damage which is already there? So therefore no more she can do. I must continue do it alone with the small massager .
The other ladies do want or continue seen me but to be honest I will try to get out of their care cuz my only interest was the one with the massages I see no real help of talking to other people about my work issues or life . I am sure there are other ladies whom can befit and I am taking the space so I ll once the massage is over I ll make a excuse no to go there anymore .
Jazz pls show pictures I like bb love to ciber dream of going to those nice sprints u enjoy so much.
Simplicity so sad about your friend's mom yes c just sucks. I hope your US shows nothing mayor.
Bb have you try vitamine C serum I never use anything g for my face and I do start to see wrinkles but my sister from Europe she claims vitamine c is her secret lol she looks good for been close to 60 now and she uses that serum at night she says it has done wonders for her skin ?
I am going to study for accounting tmw night.
Hope you all have a great week.

She mentions a nuetragina shine control powder I want to try lol I can't remember when was the last time I bought a powder lol
Anyway I wonder if you own make up? You may enjoy watching this lady I came across her video trying to find one for my sister she was very white and always wanting makeup stuff I used to buy boxes at xtmas for her .

E- you are not alone in your experience with the dreams. I have always been an vivid dreamer, but after dx, during treatment and for quite awhile after, no dreams. My evening canvass went blank. I don't remember exactly when my dreams started back up, but it was at least a year or so. You may be working out some of the trauma you went through now in your dreams, E.
My first day at the yoga retreat, I had a massage and we did yoga too. That night, I had the worst nightmares and actually realized I was dreaming and woke myself up. I think between the massage and the yoga, it released a lot of toxins and other things. Yoga does that, we talked about it at the retreat and it is a known to release junk in the body, suppressed feelings, etc. After my mother died, I would cry so often after my yoga practice.
And no, I don't think you are loosing it, but think something is coming up in your subconscious now that may be letting you know something is going on for you. I have found that things come up like this when we are ready to be healed, more safe to deal with. You went through a lot E, not just with cancer treatment, but with the family things too the past few years. That is a lot for any one person to handle.
I know you are seeing the massage therapist for the scar tissue, are you also still seeing a psychologist or the like? I used to do dream work with one of mine years ago. If you are still seeing someone, maybe ask if you can do some dream analysis?

E- I forgot to say how lovely that photo with the roses is. You brought some joy to her day. Good job!
BB- I dream about a lot of exs, men who were possibilities but nothing ever happened, etc. Nothing with major feelings in it, like you say, an extra in the show.....

Morning ladies.
Yes, BB. It does seem that way. People don't understand and I set a friend straight last night. I have to reach, lean, move differently with all the surgeries I have had up top. People don't get that thou.
Enerva, dreams. Yep. Foretelling here too. Kind of creepy. Dont think your losing it. Maybe you are more empathetic than most? Love the picture!
Jazzy, I seemed to do fine A bit achy and woke up really stopped up Sat and Sun, but other than that, I did fine.
The group of end stitches finally came out!! The bastage one won't budge thou and it's a bit infected. Have to keep an eye on it and hoping the infection stays external.
Blood work from Friday came back normal! Still have to go for gall bladder US tomorrow a.m. thou. Thought I may get a pass on that since the blood work was good. ugh. Nothing after midnight and no coffee in the a.m. Poo.
I start my Cisco classes tomorrow. Very nervous and afraid of not doing well or finding out that I still have the same problems I had before retaining info and understanding the concepts. VLSM is my biggest issue, or was rather. So wish me luck! Class will keep me very busy which I think will be a good thing! Something to occupy this bitch brain of mine!

BB- I went to this on my own and visited with the yogis at meals, up at the hot springs, but did spend a lot of time in reflection. I needed that as I am coming off the year long contract, and preparing for my next work. When I do these alone, that is easier to spend time in solitude.
When I have done yoga retreats with others, it is still good but you end up talking to your buddy more than visiting with others so different experience. Many yogis these alone, but some go with daughters, friends, partners, etc. Many of the retreats are both sexes, but this one was all women.
Meal time was a good time to visit with others and make some new connections. Very nice group, all very like minded which is what I love about yoga people.

wow jazz that looks amazing
Thanks for sharing . Yes you guys are right my dream's must be me trying to work some crap and now that I read an article (thanks jazz) is all making more sense lol I will try to work on waking myself up . Also maybe meditation to turn chanin to come resume me ha ha ha
Not but seriously I was getting annoyed and las night I took a pill and past out cold turkey lol
I just needed to have a good 8 hours sleep.
Those dreams were messing me up.
Now that yoga retreat looks so good I will try to dream about it .
I also feel the weather does not help cuz I ended up being down I keep telling myself 2 more months and March ll change all.
Bb that lady is fun to watch and she has another video where she does not look OK at all but I love her honesty she has a few videos but I just couldn't use so many products I could not even keep up lol I like a little blush for the chicks and lipstick and maybe some powder but I haven't even gotten one in years lol
This morning I stooped at the pharmacy and look for the one the lady mentions netragena shyne control powder well guess what lol we in Canada do no carry the brand lol only the netragena skill stuff but not makeup lol the woman told me only in usa dear. Ahahhhhaha there you go
So I grabbed a peach blush cheap $5.99 and I was out the door that's how big in make up I am ha ha ha tmw I ll try a bit of blush

BB- some places have things that are like a day retreat where you can just go and have an all day yoga experience. I have done things like that as well, and they can be nice when getting away is not always possible.
A lot of yoga studios are offering these types of workshops, retreats, trips. You can find lots of good info on yogafinder when the time is right for you to do that:
I have also seen some special workshops and retreats for cancer survivors around too. Sometimes you see those flyers at the cancer provider offices. I want to get certified to teach yoga eventually, and specifically for cancer patients.

BB- I have done yoga retreats for a weekend and also a whole week. Both are great. Bringing a friend is a nice way to experience it, and it sounds like you have such a person in mind. You will still meet really nice folks and have a great experience.

Most beautiful performance I have ever seen. This girl is only 9......

me too I love listening to gifted people play instruments. Here is another one 6 years old just amazing
0 -
These children are amazing. I play five instruments and starting playing the flute around the time the harp player was doing that performance. As someone who has played music my whole life, these proteges just blow me away.
Thanks for sharing the young gal playing the piano E!

BB- I love The Voice, really good season last time. I remember that guy. He is a cutie. I wonder when the next Season begins? I am watching the first season of The Pope on HBO that just started. Intriguing to say the least, but probably would not be popular for anyone strongly Catholic.
E- is that some kind of contest to win to go meet him? If yes, you will apply so many times......
I had some dental work yesterday that left me with a bad headache, but better today. Busy with business development activities and home stuff. The weather here is very gray still with rain around. Almost like living in Seattle. Yet, we need the moisture.

BB- the one thing I have heard about The Voice vs. American Idol is that they never do make it to the big time. Think of the Idol winners like Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, and others who made it to the big time, but no one from the Voice. Most of my favorite winners on The Voice have been doing state fair circuits, etc.
http://www.ibtimes.com/what-does-voice-2016-winner...
It is so hard to make it big in music, I learned that years ago which is why I never followed that for a living. The last time I played a gig here in town for an event, the amount I got paid did not even cover my cost to have charts done for the performance. I do music for fun, maybe will play more when I retire some day for extra income?
Jude Law is the star of The Young Pope and he is super good in this role. There are surprises all along the way, as any good HBO series will have. I saw two episodes so far and am interested......
Ha ha, my day job. Will stick with what pays the bills.....

BB- well, carbs have not been my friend for a good decade, and rarely eat them anymore. My glycemic issues have not be great since late 2013. I read many women end up diabetic after treatment, think I have shared that here before. Mine went up six months after I started the AIs. Sigh.
My endocrinologist put me on a drug called Victoza in Sept, which is a daily injectible that works with metformin to lower a bunch of stuff. My cholesterol dropped by 40 points, tricycerlides too but blood sugar was only a tad better. She switched me almost a month ago to Trulicity, which is a once a week injectible and it is helping my blood sugar to be better and also loosing weight. Hopefully your new endocrinologist will have some options for you given your back problems and inability to exercise.
You may need to get a kit to start checking your blood sugar daily. It can help you to keep track of things and find out what causes you to spike. For example, I had super high blood sugar one time at it was caused by eating pineapple which is super high glycemic. There is a list of high glycemic foods from South Beach you can find on line. Beyond the processed carbs, some fruits are not great either? Too much natural sugar. Our bodies are forever changed.
I hope the nerve block helps. It would get you up and around to be able to do more?
