Olgah - I bought a silicone push up insert from JoAnns to act as a boob until I get my TE replaced. It is a liitle smaller than the other side, but I also stuff with  little gauze and ok.

I was just looking at an ad for the NoNo... hair removal system. I was wondering if anyone has tried this on arm pits? I am still looking for a solution to that.

Hope you are doing well, fluff!

Sorry about your yard (again) SpecialK.

Renn, hope that pinhole is still behaving (or gone by now).

Hope you had a happy birthday, olgah.

Glad you had a great trip, sundermom!

Had another fill Monday. No tape this week (yay!). Instead I am in an underwire 24/7 til further notice to help seal the bottom of that pocket. I am still a little lopsided, but in the right bra I can ditch the padding & it isn't too noticeable.

Yard comedy update - no initials carved into the new sidewalk, storm drain concrete poured today, DH hand watered poor sod last night - still alive and looking ok!  All that remains is street paving which does not involve my yard, and my driveway is on the cross street because we are the corner house - yay!

I have spent the last 2 days doing yard work. Quite obvious to me that I did nothing AT ALL last year to my yard! I am 10 days from my 1 yr anniversary. Today I saw the ps who said he believes I would not really benifit from a 2nd fat graft. Next on tap is nips which he likes to wait 3 months. That would be late may which would mess up a few things so I might wait till july.

Chick, isn't it a good feeling to know that the surgeries are behind you?  I can't wait until exchange next month. Crossing my fingers that it's uneventful.

Special K - I see Dr. Buck on the 23rd and that's when the May date will be set. I'll be shouting it from the mountaintops when I find out lol.

    Fluff that is so funny.

Momof3-I jsut wish ALL my surgeries were behind me.  When I set out on this journey a year ago I thought I'd be done maybe Christmas at the latest.  I guess I was in denial of what was really happening.

Just popping in to say hi- hope you are all doing well. Fluff - thanks for the visual. HA! Chick-I thought I'd be done at Christmas with a diagnosis in late July. Boy what the heck did I know. Olgah, I hope you had a very happy birthday! Renn- how are you doing? Mom -- can't wait to hear you shouting from the rooftops! DLL-hooray to no tape! I hope the underwires do the trick for you.  DM, I have a friend who uses her No-No on her chin hair but I don't know how it would work in the pits. Hmmmm. I will ask her.

I have contacted two additional PS to find out if either one uses the new Sientra larger silicone implants. I have an appointment to see my PS in May to discuss revision. He is not comfortable using Sientra implants but I am going to do my best to persuade him to give it a shot. What's the worst that could happen, I'd be unhappy? OH WAIT...I already am. LOL Gotta keep smiling, right?  I hope you all have a wonderful Easter weekend.

MT - yes please ask her about No-No in pits. I am most interested to know though if anyone has tried it who has had an AND.

Wow. I used to only wear underwire, but after not wearing one for a year to go straight to wearing one 24 hours a day is really uncomfortable. I see a shopping trip to VS in my near future to get something softer. It does look like it is helping already, though.

Yeah, I thought I would be completely finished by now as well. I just want to get it right, so I am not in any rush at this point. I'm making progress, so it's all good.

Good luck with the Sientras, MTNester!  Hope you find a PS that will use them.

bonseye - sorry you're in the club, yay on the end of chemo!  You will be so happy to be done with it, I know.  Think of all this as a process and then tackle one day at a time, it does not pay to be impatient.  This is a wonderful and supportive group of TE challenged ladies, so welcome to you.

I had mastectomy in February 2011, and My plan was mapped out to be done by mid-september and on vacation mid-october. Bahaha! Not....the vacation happened though, and it will likely be July of this year before I am fully done.

    Welcome Bonseye.

I am very upset. My TE is scheduled to be replaced April 17th. After which my PS was going slow with fills and such... just found out today that our insurance is changing May 1st to Kaiser! OMG! I am so overwhelmed by this, have been crying all day, now at 2:47am stressed out! What is all this going to mean to my recovery. Also, one of the reasons I decided to go with recon is that my PS offers cohesive gel implants... what if that option changes with Kaiser...

And, I had been waiting 2 months for my appt with this special OBGYN, which is finally this next week, and I wonder if I should even bother to keep that appt, as it is not like I can be a patient of his!

The thought of changing all my doctors is so damn upsetting.

Did manage to get the court date with my ex-husband changed (he served me for the same day as surgery to try to stop paying child sup). I only had to take 2 days away from work to stand in line after line to make that happen.

I keep asking myself "why me" - guess it feels good to write that. I am expected to keep all of me together and don't get to feel sorry for myself very often.

    @(&#@&#)@&#)@&#@&#)@&#@!!!

DM - Sorry this is happening - changing horses in mid-stream is unsettling.  I sent you a PM regarding Kaiser.  Keep the OB-Gyn appt and treat it like the second opinion that you got first.  If a new doc at Kaiser says the same thing as the one you see next week, you will feel better about it.

Glad you got the court date sorted.  Those things are just a pain.  My DD was served with a lawsuit that stemmed from a car accident right when I came home from the BMX - horrible timing.  Fortunately her insurance settled out of court (don't get me started on Florida personal injury attorneys!) finally but it is so stressful when you are already dealing with so many other stressful things, right?

These things don't compare to what you are going through, but the yard fiasco is almost done, they poured the concrete for the storm drain so only a little of the sod is stacked in the yard.  Yesterday I spent the morning emptying the 25 cubic foot garage fridge that died into the kitchen fridge, then went out to buy a new fridge.  My freezer in the house looks like a jigsaw puzzle!  I also had to bake about 100 cookies because the cookie dough thawed out!!  Too bad I can't send you one to cheer you up!

DM-So sorry you are having to go through all of this...

SpecialK-We've had a water softner and grill die this week...things always happen in threes so wondering what is next.

chick - I know what you mean!  So far it has been the water main and the elderly garage fridge, what is next?  Just had the new fridge delivered - had a moment with the old one - I bought it when DD was less than a year old, now she is 22!

DM-I wish I could give you a hug to go along with SpecialK's cookie. I'm so sorry!

Bonseye, I'm sorry you're in this group - but this is an amazing group of women. Congrats on your last chemo! YEA!!

Ladies, it's a full moon - strange things always happen (it seems) during full moon. I haven't had any appliances die at the house, but I get to buy college son #2 two new tires today since he had a flat on his way home last night. Zippity Doo Dah.

Absolutely!  Ladies who are still dealing with TE related issues - you too will eventually be able to complain about normal stuff!

A very wise friend of mine told me it is easier to look back than to look ahead. She is so right. And ladies, until you are at the point where you are past the trouble, keep coming here to share and vent!

Thank you all for your thoughts and whines.... I always enjoy hearing about the normal. You all brought a smile to my face :)

SK - I have this vision of your house in my head... It is set with a beautiful Florida back drop, big hunky men carrying heavy equipment wearing hard hats and jeans.... bad food all over the garage... you sitting in the living room dressed in marabou and flowers eating a big plate of cookies with a huge smile on your face!

You always seem so happy no matter what crap you are going through! Would love a cookie and a hug :)

DM - Ugh, sorry your insurance is being changed up!  Hopefully it will be a smooth transition.  Definitely go through with your other appointments.  Treat them as second opinions and you will go in with more info when you meet with your new doctors.  Hang in there.

psalms - How are your nerves holding up?  Not too much longer for your surgery.

What a crazy week.  I can't wait for this weekend, actually I can..I will be doing yard work also.  This will be our first weekend of no rain since February.  I don't have too much time left to get things in order for a grad party.

I had a fill on Wednesday...yah!  30ccs, big whoop.  I go back in another 5 weeks for another 30ccs...again, big whoop.  I was really tight yesterday.  I did find out though that my expanders are basically under my skin and not the muscle as I suspected.  I asked him if my TE was sewn in cause I was doing some more reading and have heard other women saying there TEs were falling into their armpits.  He said mine weren't sewn in, they are held in by the pocket which he fortified pretty well.  He told me not to sleep on my tummy, which I'm not and can't but I forgot to ask what happens if I do.  Anyway know why you can't?

DM - I wish it was that exciting!!!  The last guys came this morning to take the wooden forms off the storm drain, put the manhole cover back on, and put the last of the sod back.  They did not have hard hats on - just ball caps.  All the food from the garage freezer is in my kitchen freezer - it looks like a Jenga game in there!  I gave a lot of cookies to the neighbors, but the chocolate and peanut butter ones are irresistable, and I have eaten a few.  I just got back to walking and watching what I am eating so cookies are not on that list!!  The new fridge came this morning but the guy who delivered it only had a few teeth (but he was very nice) so that was interesting., I had to move all the cars around so they could get the old fridge out and new fridge in.  My DD did get a green feather boa in the FL Keys a couple of weeks ago for St. Patrick's Day - I could put that on and eat a cookie under one of the palm trees to celebrate TGIF!  You are so funny and I do send you a hug and a cyber-cookie!
