I think most are just out living their lives. As time moves on many stop coming to BCO. Sorry about your diagnosis Kellyoc. It is shocking at the beginning, then slowly, ever so slowly, we learn to live with it. Gentle hug to you.

6 years out last August. IDC, Stage 1b, Grade 1. No guarantees of course but these many more years survivors is definitely encouraging.

I've been waiting five years to post on this thread.  Just had my five-year mammogram.  Doing well.  And I get to have another birthday this month.  Woo hoo!

Hey all, just had a scare with recurrence but yeah I'm ok. Whew! I'm not counting years cause I suck at math but I was diagnosed with a giant hockey puck sized tumor in 2004. Stage 3 when I was very young raising family.

Feeling good these days. I exercise like mad. Try to eat right. Low sugar. Have a wine once in a while and count my blessings every single day. Yes I still look over my shoulder for that mean old cancer but this is good because it makes me vigilant in caring for my body. I live each day like it might be my last and save tv for when I might be unable to get up, and even then I plan on being a bird watcher as my neighbors have feeder real close to my house. They add joy to my life.

You can do it to. Stay positive, stamp cancer on its ugly head. Keep up with research! I've just joined a trial. Stay in the know.edited just did the math.

Edited to add:When I reach year 15 I'm going to hoot like the loudest owl on the fence post!

I was diagnosed in November 2006. I finished chemo (4 AC) and one year of herceptin in March 2008. I Just had my ten year since the end of treatment (as my oncologist tracks follow up) visit and I am still NED.

Today marks exactly 10 years since my TNBC diagnosis and I not only survived, but continue to thrive. My 6cm tumor was quickly obliterated by neoadjuvant chemotherapy and I was elated to learn after surgery that chemo had resulted in a pathologic complete response. Fast forward, it has now been 4 years since my last oncology appointment and I am even back to routine annual screening mammograms. Life is still good!

Joanne - of course we don’t know but I can tell you the same thing happened to my SIL and her’s was scar tissue. We all know there are no guarantees and time is on your side since it’s been 9 years.

Keep the faith and keep us posted.
