10 year survivor of BC----with a pathology report that said unfavorable outcome-----fooled them hahah

5 year survivor of thyroid cancer--- okay, not being an asshole, but the type I had was the easiest and shouldn't be a problem.

    Blessings to all

Sometimes you can get so caught in living where you forget about ever being diagnosed. Living a day at a time. Sometimes a moment at a time since February 2011.

lala1 I love that! Go for 115 years old! When someone asks me my age, I say I'm only half way to my goal!( I'm 60!) I'm only 3 years from my mastectomy but also planning to live to great age💗 On anastrozole, doing fine with it after the first year of lots of hot flashes 😉

Linda 1243 have had more than 6 operations and had infection set in and both implants had to be removed. having right implant removed due to infection was over medicated and died. Had to have cpr done twice to bring me back surgery done September 2018. Left breast removed January 2019 when went in for breast reconstruction and infection found. Still having problems finding masectomy products to wear since have no breasts.

The depression and feeling of loss is awful and so hard to handle. Spouse says at least you are alive. Really you call this living no breasts and none of your clothes fit right.

Linda1243 - what a tough time you’ve had. Emotional healing will take time. You’ve been through a lot of disappointment. I don’t think we ever “get over” having breast cancer, but we do find a way to move forward. Wishing you a little slice of joy this Spring morning. Congrats on five years! That feels good

hello and congrats to all bitting can

Marina you encouraged me because I was diagnosed recently with her2positive grade3. Bc. Most ladies here seem to be her2-, which I heard is less agressive that her2positive specially grade 3. I would like to know what was your chimo and in general procedure. Mine is 4ac then taxol and Herceptin and then surgery. After then all will be determined by the pathology report. I am scared and I have a hound teen who I want to see grow.

To all ladiesI am through with my 2nd am which was very tough on me. I do not know if anyone here had ac tacon and Herceptin and which one was tougher on body?

Thanks a lot for your answers in ad

    MamaOz,

I tried Tamoxifen for a couple of months and it created chaos in my uterus, so I gave it up.

I feel extremely lucky. And extremely grateful for my luck.

It has been 8.5 years since my diagnosis of the stage III cancer and I'm still here and doing well.

I don't come to Breastcancer.org as often as I did at the beginning, but I remember how important it was for me to read about 5 year, and longer, survivors and how much it had helped me to deal with that dreadful diagnosis and the treatment. It had given me hope.

Best wishes to all of you and hope to return to post on my 10 anniversary

    Hello Margun

A Her2+ Grade 3 lump on chest wall calling in.

I first discovered the lump in October 2011 but my GP sent me away. So I returned a month later, given a referral for January. Aggressive treatment, upfront, early and I'm doing well nearly seven years later.

    Why not you?

    Alice
