Onco- you have had stomach issues for awhile now, so it is good you got this checked out. I am glad to hear things look good, and hope nothing comes up with the biopsy. I think they would have been remiss in not checking things with a sample as not everything is visible. I hope things are good with the results.
I did know someone who had that stomach emptying issue problem, and hope that is not anything you have an issue with. She had to have some surgery around it, but don't think it was effective either.
Hope you are feeling better and stronger post surgery. If it is a result of coming off the drug, that is the best news one could hope for. Checking on our health issues is never a waste of time, especially after having cancer.
Rest well my friend.

onco, thinking of you! Moo backatcha.
Jazzy and all my hermies, bippy got her pain meds. Burn pain fading......she will finish rads. 2 to go! Had a meltdown at ROs, told him exactly how I felt. He says burn looks medically acceptable, blah blah blah.
Had to turn down work today, my friend arrives tomorrow from Maine! Woohooo, cannot wait to see her, she is like a sister. Stay warm and dry girlfriends

Bippy- it is too bad we have to melt down to get attention for our pain. I had a melt down once in the hospital after being on a feeding tube for a week and finally being able to eat and no one would bring me a tray. I mean it was BAD! The nurse came in and was pissed the tech had not doing anything (he was the biggest jerk) and made it happen. Then they were bending over backwards to feed me. Sometimes it is what we have to do to get the point across. That RO sounds very clinical. Hello, this stuff hurts!
Be pain free and enjoy your company this weekend!

Just enjoying sitting watching the "kids" playing and listening to the tv.

Onco, It's a struggle to deal with just the cancer treatment SE's - so frustrating that you have to suffer through withdrawal as well. I have experienced the inept IV nurse - it does hurt. At least they brought the pro over later! It's good that you had the scope. I think that you should get the gastric-emptying study done. It would be good to have a base-line. You should know exactly what you are dealing with... Prayers continue to ascend.
Bippy, I do not like your RO. I have not done rads - are all RO's so un-empathetic? 2 left - you can do it! You have come so far. Good that you finally have your drugs. Enjoy your friend from Maine's visit - hoping the drugs don't space you out...
Mommy, take care of yourself as well.
Cami, how are you handling 2 phones? What is Joey playing w/out squeaking? It's good to hear from you!
Mags, you sound so upbeat! You are a trouper! I had to google Kishka. I would not eat such a thing... but I hope that you enjoy them! Stay strong.
Jazzy, you are so good at supporting Hermies!

Bippy- hugs sister. That look so painful.
Daisy- thank you for the kind words.
Good night everyone! I have been a networking fool this week, but tomorrow I am going to shift gears and do some fun things along with some must do things.

Hubby is feeling much better!

Good to hear Mommy.
Bippy done with radiation today, time to dance the happy dance! Hope you have a good visit with your friend from Maine. I bet she is glad as anything to get out of the northeast for a break.
Mags, I think you are almost done, maybe a few of those boosts at the end left?
Blondie- hope you are continuing to heal.
Hugs to Cami.
Hope Lilly is getting settled into her new digs and figuring out the plans for her sanctuary.
Wishing everyone a good day and a great weekend!

Oh Bippy that looks so painful! My heart goes out to you. I just had my first good look at the girls since exchange surgery on Friday the 13th and it was ok on the right side, the left side looks like a horror movie. Still bleeding a little, very bruised and frankensteinish. But I'm hoping for the best and boy did that shower feel good! I have become a baby when it comes to blood now as I got nauseous and had to lie down after bandaging up and wrestling into the surgical bra. Whew, that was a work out! I hope you are all doing well.

Jazzy, I have two full weeks left. Two more regular tx and eight boosts;: five to the whole incision and tumor area and three to the tumor area. I saw the RO today and she apologized for not informing me of the change, but since my tumor had invaded the chest wall they wanted extra boosts on it. I confess I am very discouraged right now. The crease of my underarm feels raw. And I'm just so tired, and tired of hurting, and tired of cancer. Going to bed now.

Another storm heading my way later on. Gonna be snow and then a wintry mix or even all plain rain!

Mags, Hope it was a deep sleep. You are so strong. This is the time when faith is so crucial. Just know that you are not alone - even in that room. I have not suffered like this way(no radiation or shoulder pain). I did spend a year of my life not sitting (only lying down or standing) due to back pain, but I just avoided painful positions. I have no experience like yours to be able to share coping mechanisms. So, I will do what I can and pray for you.
Mommy, we are expecting the same here in MA - hope your roof is sloped and relatively clear. Is your husband back on his feet? Did you get your DD this morning?
Maiden, it's good to hear that you enjoyed your shower. It was tough to be uncomfortable in the shower. When is follow-up? I did not have reconstruction but certainly sounds like you should be looked at? Again, no experience here. I hope you heal quickly with pleasing results on BOTH sides. The journey seems so long and arduous. I can not remember now... Is your son applying to college now? Do you have another year with him at home? May life beyond cancer be joyful.
Bippy, You and Mags need a break. I had a friend who did radiation tell me that it was nothing - like a light sunburn. I think NOT! I would have gone into radiation expecting something totally different than what you two are experiencing. I can't imagine the discomfort. Stay strong. Know that this too shall pass. Wishing you speedy healing and fun with your buddy!
Jazzy, enjoy your time for fun... Do not think about work. Just relax in the pink room .
All Hermies, stay dry, warm, happy, and strong INSIDE

Roof is safe and has a good pitch to it, so no worries there. We have had snow and ice coming off all this week. I'd be sitting down and I'd hear a loud noise and then see it come down and land in the snow in the yard. Hubby is better and when we went out this morning to get stuff I needed for dinner before this crap started falling again I got my DD.

Mom, that's awesome! DD can really set the tone for a day. My daughter gets an iced coffee every day at college! When she comes home, she always needs a daily caramel iced coffee. She does not like any substitutes like Starbucks... The bad part is that when I know that she is going, I might indulge in a chocolate creme-filled donut, so messy, covered and filled with sugar... difficult to hide your splurge with powdered sugar all over you. You show great restraint just getting a coffee. Glad your roof is safe. Stay dry. No ice slides here - Just beautiful shimmering icicles...

Staying dry and comfy here.

Mags- I don't blame you for being discouraged. So much thrown at you for so long now. The pain with external rads at the end is awful. Bippy's photo made me feel so sad when I saw it. It is okay to be tired of the whole damned thing. Cancer sucks and cancer treatment is really hard.
Stay warm folks with the snow. We have a storm moving in today.

Mags I'm sorry you're struggling with rads and your shoulder. I hope the last treatments go fast and they give you some good pain meds.
Daisy my oldest is a sophomore in high school, so I get 2 more years with him. I want him to live at home while he's in college to save money and admittedly because I can't imagine not seeing his face every day. My little one is 7 and growing up way too fast.
I get so mad at the cancer disrupting my life, I feel like I lost the last year with all the surgeries and treatments and many months to go yet. I know that discouraging feeling, like it will never end, but it will and life will go on.
Hang in there gals. I'm thankful I can check in here and not feel so alone in all this.

Enjoying my hot cup of coffee and praying that I see some melting today. Supposed to see 40s.

Maiden- we like to hear from you and know how you are doing. You are a busy mom and know it will not be easy when your son goes off to college. I think back on the year of diagnosis and the year I finished treatment and feel everything went on hold and I missed much too. With time you introduce everything back. It just takes awhile to find your way to a new normal.
Blondie- good to hear from you here as well as other places. Glad we are back on the favs list!
Mommy-wow, the 40s is a real heat wave. Glad that bitter cold has gone.

I saw this on my FB feed today and thought of you, Mags. I think that it speaks to all of us dealing with treatment or the aftermath... We are strong and courageous.

Teka- I wonder if GC and new bride will be there?
It is not on here yet, so don't spill the beans......
Wishing all my friends here in treatment or recovering from any of this glorious ride a good week.
