    Hello ladies,

Long week at work so just caught up.

Liefie- hope your surgery went well :) praying for an easy recovery for you!

Ramols- you are correct we need a dam cure! Sorry to hear about your friend! Fing diease. Positive thoughts sent for your scans! Man you have had a week huh! Hugs!

About leg craps! I take a magnesium supplement called, calm it is power form and you mix it with hot water or cold and drink it like tea. It is easier for me that way. It also helps me with my digestion because I get constipated often now a days. I swear by it:)

So lucky me my arm has been tight and a little swollen last couple of days and worse this am. So fuck! Thought I could go on Friday wo a doc about but better try and get it. Dam dam dam! I was just saying to my self that atleast I had not that problem with everything else. It might be my running and keeping my arm in that position for so long that is making it act up and I assumed that would be an issue. Does this shit never end!

I am shutting off my phone and computer after getting a few reports for work done this morning and packing and just taking off some where for a little mental break from it all this weekend. Not sure where maybe up north MN but I need it before I break:) going to look for a place now to go:) so if I don't talk to u this weekend. I will be thinking about you all and hoping you all can go find your happy! ( right Ramols:))

Hugs and lots of love strong ladies!

    Michelle!

Ramols - I will be in your pockets for the c-spine, thanks for the link, I've bookmarked it so I can go back and read them over when I need some inspiration.

Looking forward to a long weekend here in Canada.

Happy Friday! We survived the week of pocket parties and a tornado unscathed. Not bad for a bunch of Women Warriors.

Cmbernardi - can't believe your foot! Now that's just not fair after all you have been through. Wish you a speedy, pampered recovery and a cuter boot than those clunky ones! If things happen for a reason, don't you wonder what that's about.

Liefie - hope you are resting comfortably. You are in all of our thoughts and prayers.

Aruba - taking off in the morning. Going to spend some time in our new condo in Laughlin, NV. We won't stay long. Too hot there this time if year. Unless my husband finds a water toy for entertainment on the Colorado River.

My brother in law shared this link with me. Supposedly it's used more widely in Canada. Is anyone familiar with this? Curious, what you all think. Sounds like a miracle.

My Mom and I are going to a Gem Fair today. We always have a great time and buy too many beads. How fun is that!

    Hugs and kisses to all!

That's great news Juneau!!! YAY, best words ever!!!

I take the magnesium as well, supposed to help with hot flashes too.

Mcook, that sounds so nice!! I'd love to do that some time. So relaxing!!!

Ramols in your pocket. And there are some great quotes there. Going to print it out and keep it handy. Thank you!!

Believe, lol... Would women warriors have it any other way? Can't have any boredom in out lives!!

I've never heard of salvestrol, but it does sound like a miracle. Enjoy the fair :-)

It's the first long weekend of the summer and I can't wait!! I love this weekend, everything is so fresh, green and new. I love planting my flowers and gigging in the dirt of the gardens.

Liefie, thinking of you today. I'm sure you haven't a pocket on you today, I'm hanging from the I.V. Pole ;-)

Surgery went well yesterday, and I'm now sitting in a chair typing this. Everything okay, I'm feeling good, and have very little pain. Thanks for all the good thoughts and well wishes - it is so highly appreciated! The OR was a little crowded with all of you there, but they managed okay - lol. Tummy seems really flat, and new boobie looks good too.

Luvmygoats, yes, DD's DH made her another coop, she got her chickens, and they are laying. She's sooooo excited about that. She's coming home next week - can't wait to see her.

Will read all the posts later. Hope everybody is doing well!

Just found out another friend was diagnosed with this fucking disease. HE is 42, father of 2 girls and a health nut. He has his double mx June 11. This beast truly does not discriminate.

Lol, oh Scott could handle us!!! He has kept a group of ladies "cyber entertained" on Facebook for years. Lmao, we nicknamed him "King of the North". And yes we have a "King of the South". I already let him know. Funny thing is, he's a semi pro body builder and his muscle mass is so much that the ultra sound couldn't decipher anything, but because of that the mx will be relatively simple as there is little fat or breast tissue. His surgery will be 1-2 hours and done on an out patient basis.

Shianne - so sorry to hear about your friend

Liefie - wonderful to hear from you so soon. Glad you are comfortable and liking the results of your surgery already!

Juneau - how did it go today with the home inspection?

I'm going to have to keep myself really busy for the next week. I had a phone call this a.m. from the cancer centre telling me I have an appointment May 24th with my oncologist. Trying not to freak out but good results are usually phoned.

Liefie..You are on the other side Laughing  Now take it easy...slow ..slow ..slow so that recoup goes smoothly!  So happy for you.

Websister..Hang on...as we all know that wait and see game is the pits.  I hope they want to do a review with you on all your tests and where you go from here.  Praying it is routine.

MCook..hope the arm is ok.  Enjoy yourself some serenity!!

Believe...have fun in Laughlin, have never been, but intend to get there someday with a casino junket!  You and mom are a gem with those beads so enjoy!

Taking a meal to the friend tonight who lost her daughter.  My DH and DS are in Baltimore for the Preakness.  I planted 80 flowers today with more to go.  Love, Love, Love this time of year!  Hugs to all.

Websister - yuk - hate phone calls but hopefully your return visit will be as uneventful as mine. They were just trying to establish a base line. We will all be with you, try not to worry - too much. It doesn't help and like the sign says, it's a waste of the imagination. You had the right idea - stay busy.

Liefie - glad you are happy with your results. Flat stomach sounds really good too.

Websister.....is there no way you can get in touch with your MO before the 24th? WTH...

In MHO, that's totally unethical to have you wait so long, increasing your anxiety level,

which I'm sure will only add to your pain and discomfort. Can you send him an e-mail

or leave him a message?....that just makes me soooo angry. Sorry for sounding so pushy and bossy, but you shouldn't have to go through the waiting game.

I still need to catch up, but need to vent a little. I started the day leaving the house at 5:30 am and just got home a little while ago. I went with DD to a band and chorus competition and then spent the rest of the day at Six Flags walking around the park with 5 12 year olds going on all the rides. I am truly exhausted. As we were walking around I got a phone call drom DD doctor telling me that the mole they removed last week was a typical and we are lucky that they got it off as it was on it's way to being cancer. I wanted to start crying right there, but was able to hold it together in front of the girls. I am glad they got it off when they did, but now she will have to be checked very carefully as she is at a higher risk for melanoma now. It is so much harder when it is your child than when I was diagnosed. When will this end?

Thanks for letting me vent as I don't want to worry my DD and needed to get it out of my system. I know I can count on all your support to get me through this.

    Hugs to everyone!

Scottie - I will see what I can do on Tuesday re: results. With the long weekend I doubt I have much of a chance before then. Her patients have their chemo on Tuesdays so, since this is a long weekend she would have had a clinic day today, none on Tuesday. She has a new patient clinic at another site on Wednesdays which would be thoroughly booked, Thursdays are an administrative day for her so that leaves Friday for an appointment with me. I do understand but could have used a weekend without worry. :)

Websister....just hate that you have to wait so long....❤

Momof3.....They caught it in time...thank God...I know it hurts us more when it's our kids.

She has a wonderful mother who will make sure she gets her checkups from now on.

Yes, we are her for you to rant or just give you the support you need....hugs...❤

Hey Scottiee..are you near Mississauga?  DD drove there today from Indiana to recruit for the college soccer team she coaches.

Momof3 - she had such a good Mom taking her in early! We know you make sure she's watched in the future. Yes, it's tougher when it's our children. She is lucky to have such a wise Mom.

Websister - glad you are trying to move the appt up but if they were really concerned, wouldn't they have bought you in sooner? True that they could have called on Monday. Be sure to bring that to their attention, after you get your good news:-)

Aruba.....I'm about a half hour's drive from there. Mississauga has a lot of new immigrants who come from countries that love their soccer, so she should be lucky.

Yes, Ms Jolie is on the cover of every mag lately. Having a bmx is almost sounding f...g trendy these days!  I am trying hard not to judge those people.  I am sure they have their own miseries to contend with, just more money to do it all with.

I haven't had nipples since Feb 2012, I feel like some kind of alien life form...like a freak.  Think about how life used to be. Now I am not comfortable in my skin. Maybe I will feel a little better after the nipple recon surgery. However, things wont ever be the same again in the intimacy dept. That and the drugs will make sure any moment of pleasure is diminished. I am ready for this to be over and move on with my life. Yet since my life is changed so much now...how can this breast cancer ever really be over with all these reminders? Its almost 1 am. I cant sleep. Miss my sons, miss my fiance.  Another friend just moved to another city to take a job. Seems like all my female friends are slipping away faster than I can replace them. Some people are irreplaceable anyway! I am depressing myself..I guess I gotta take a sleeping pill again!!!! Anybody wanna scream the f word with me?

I'll scream with you as loud as I can!  I hurt all over, especially this stupid broken left foot and there are not enough pills in the world! F**K, F**K, F**K !!!!!!!

Other than that tho, everything is just "peachy"!  Happy Weekend Sister Warriors.  Hope it is a great one for all!

Layla, this shit takes a toll on everyone. I have seen on other forums how people who have had the nip recon actually wish they had not done it because they never end up looking like they expect or they end up pointing some weird direction. Everyone needs to find their comfort zone with their own bodies. For me I keep telling myself I am not defined by how my boobs look. If anyone judges me on that then I dont want to associate with them. Dig deep and find that special person you are under those mounds and then share that with your loved ones. They are probably waiting for the real you to emerge out from the cancer induced funk. ((((Hugs))))

Layla...Iatigger put it beautifully....sounds like you are missing a lot of people in your life

right now.....is there anyone you can just go and have coffee with or lunch, someone

who can just listen and support you at the same time. We are here, of course, but there's nothing like face to face human contact....❤

Layla, I don't know where you are in FL, but maybe start a Florida Ladies Survivor thread to connect with any local ladies.  I'm on a Wisconsin one, hope to meet up with some ladies this summer.  Ditto what IaTigger wrote so beautifully.  We're always here.  Since I finsihed Rads and had  a hard time adjusting I feel the need to really find and connect with women who know what  I'm going through.  BC is so much more than a diagnosis and treatment.  It affects so many aspects of our lives and it's hard to go thru the motions every day surrounded by people who really don't know what it"s like.  Can you see a cancer psychologist?  I was going, but just found out my insurance will not cover it:( Good luck hon!

    Momof3, you're in my prayers!

    Liefie, speedy recovery!!!!!!

Websister, sending good vibes your way!  Like  Believe said, stay busy! Distraction is a great thing!

Anyone ever been on Bactrim?? It gives me a stomach ache, but even worse, I have this odor coming off of me.......WTF?   For a month, really?? I'll scream with y'all, FUCK!!!! We're going to my cousin's son's graduation party today, lots of their family, lots of hugs........sniff. UGH!

DH and I celebrated 27 years of marriage last night with a great meal at a wonderful litttle local restaurant.  I'm not really into martinis, but i could be after last night.  I had a Citrus Tini (or 2), wow!  So good and refreshing!!

Carolyn, hope you're getting around okay. (((Hugs)))

Luanne, I'm so sorry about your friend!! BC is such a lonely disease, I can only imagine how hard it would be to be a male with it.

Have a great weekend peeps! Got to get my smelly self in the shower. Stinky Sheila
