I still have a lot of catching up to do, but wanted to say how sorry I am for Stride and her family and friends. I cried when I read about her. My DH asked what was wrong and was very supportive and that was what I really needed. Makes me really happy that tomorrow when we sit down for Thanksgiving Dinner I will say how thankful I am to be past active treatment and still alive and able to be doing so well! You are all my family and I wish everyone, even those that have already celebrated in Canada, a very Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!!! I love you all and would not be where I am today without all of you helping me!!!!!!!!

good evening my lovelies! As I sit here in between making my food for tomorrow, I thought I would have a glass of wine and reflect and honor Celia again. I am so blessed and THANKFUL to have all of you in my life. I love you all so much. So in honor of our friend Celia I raise my glass to all of you!

Thanks for the good wishes Believe! For all celebrating both Thanksgiving and first day of Chanukah, enjoy the turkey and latkes! This is a once in a life time event...last time first day fell on Thanksgiving was 1888, won't happen again for over 79,000 years! DD and I are having a blast trying to make a bread cornucopia...pics later.

Happy Hannakuh to those celebrating. We are still painting the house here in NC, but can see the light at the end of the tunnel. We should be done tomorrow after 3 weeks of painting every day. It does look really nice and I can say that we did it all ourselves. The whole house will be re-painted and also the kitchen cabinets re-stained. I hope your house is coming along Jen!
Next time we come down we can just enjoy the house and do little updates. I hope the renters like it and they rent it all summer again this year.
I also wanted to say that everyone looks great in all the pictures. It has really been good lately. I was offered a permanent posyition at work to replace the person who retired. I even got a raise and promotion also. I have had really good doctor appointments and results. My Mom even called me finally after 3 months and wants to sit down and talk when we get back from NC. I have much to be thankful for this year

Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Hannukah girlfriends!! Tomorrow is my 1st "cancerversary", the day that shit was removed from my body. Today I'm so thankful that I found all of you here on BCO. I don't think I'd have gotten through this past year without all of your support, humor, understanding and love. I have loved getting to know you all, virtually and in person and can't wait to meet up with some of you again in 2014, God bless you. Aruba - the bread is great, but the best part of the picture are the smiles on you and your DD!
We just got back from a mile walk on the beach with the whole family including the dog. I don't know how to add pictures, but the beach was so beautiful. I hope to be doing this more often now. I also just walked up a flight of stairs the normal way for the first time in almost 3 months. Hopefully life will be getting back to as normal as possible for us now.

Momof3- Congrats on getting all the painting done.
Cooking/cleaning and eating is all done. As a gift for cooking my dad brought me wine! What more could I ask for? Now I'm just relaxing until I decide to get up and put my tree up.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving here in the states. As usual I made way too much food and now have to finish it up- I sure as heck won't be posting any "skinny" pics like Juneau can do . Ramols I hope you found your happy as you are always helping us to find our happy.
Now the Christmas rush is on; going for my tree today. I thought once my son grew up gift buying would be lots easier but boy was I wrong there. The kind of toys he likes now are a lot more expensive. lol
SO thankful for each and everyone of you and this site . All of you, my dh and ds are responsible for getting me through this last year & 1/2 since you were my sole support being none of my other family, friends or neighbors knew about my bc odyssey. So thank you all. Have a great week.

Ok - I'm bad about posting every day like Tazzy but I love hearing about everyone's activities. Time flies by soooo quickly. I actually baked today, it's been a while. I look at all the trays I made last year in amazement. It helped that last year I was getting up at 5:00am. Those days are over, I sleep great until around 8:00. My taste buds are better too. Life is good.
Doing my best to avoid shopping. I have enough stuff now. looking forward to Christmas and a short trip we are taking on Friday to Monterey, on the CA coast. Pretty soon we will be saying Happy New Year!
