Here I sit reading when I really really need to get up and going. This morning is my only free time this weekend and I have a ton of things to get done.

Poor Bobo. Hope this week goes better and you get out of pain.

We're doing vacation coverage for another cat foster family. We'll have him from Mon until Jan 2. He's black (all our cats seem to be black) and named Freckles. We fostered his sister until her adoption and I wonder how much they're alike. I went ahead and put the glass balls on the tree, but the silk ones are handy in case I need to switch. I bought some potholders at the Xmas fair and she threw in a catnip mouse, so I hope he likes catnip.

I've read to catch up... but going to keep it short so I don't get too distracted and then won't get off the sofa.

Zils!! I am loving the boy's letter.. thank you for sharing and thank you thank you for the wedding cookie recipe.. that does sound similar to the one I had lost.. I hope it is... I'll try them next weekend.

It's snowing!! There's a light coating in the ground, I'm a little bummed there's only a little more daylight left.

Wirdgirl, so glad you stopped in with an update! Always great to hear from you.

I don't know if our girl has sent texts today, I lost my phone somewhere.. ... I hope it didn't end up in the washer... haven't seen it for hours.

I'll be back later.. I just needed to stop in and get my daily smile from you ladies :)

Wow ladies, a lot of posts overnight!

Zills, I loooove the Santa letter! I hope he gets what he wished for!

I am not a cookie baker, as you well know, but I will have to try these.

Wirdgirl so good to see you back and so glad to hear how well you're doing and the new puppy is a success. I like that idea of having the camera where you can check in on them too.

Fiaranch, I am sure there will be a 50% off clearance sale coming, that may tempt you back!LOL

I am sorry you managed to invoke the "Claw", but it had to happen, it's like a right of passage of this shitful condition.

I am being driven a bit nutty with the "phantom itching" again. I thought it had passed, but this week it is back with a vengeance.

Gramwe, I am thinking of you and the OG, I hope all went well with the surgery and that he's recovering well. I am wondering if he's tied up again!

I need a baby update! Are we up to a watermelon yet? What is the weasel up to? Has he manned up? I need to know, and gramwe, did we need the F femara to get through the surgery, or did everyone behave? It is very tough not hearing from you! I am giving you a little wave and hope all is well in your part of the world. You are so missed!

Wren, another little soul for you to care for. You are wonderful! I don't know if I could be good at giving them back!

ldesim, you're sounding like there's a lot going on and you're very busy. I bet you're loking forward to a break. The light covering of snow sounds lovely, just so I don't have to walk in it though, I still remember that squeak like it was yesterday!

    Posting, be right back..M x

nndgirl, I am so glad to hear you had a good sleep!

I remember my Mother talking about the frozen laundry, but I can't recall seeing it. My memories of Scotland are pretty scant, other than my phobic thing about walking in snow!

It is warm an sunny here today. There are yachts out already and a couple of kayaks. I am hoping the Dolphins may be around when I take Dex for his walk this morning. They have been playing in the straights in front of the Island this week which thrills the tourists! There is a ferry that carries people and cars across the little stretch of water between us and the Island, and the Dolphins seem to turn it on for the tourists. It is a joy to watch.

Yesterday, I managed to get most of the herbs I want to plant in the Veggie patch, so today will be a tidy up and plant day. I also found a punnet of 4 assorted Asian lettuce! Bec will love that. So this year I have 6 different regular types and now these 4 so 10 different lettuce types, 3 different tomato types and lots of herbs for my salads.

All the fruit trees are doing well, but the colorful Parrots are already making a mess of the Apples and Pears. The Fig is just amazing, it's my favorite tree, and it is just laden with fruit. I have to time it right, to let everyone know when it is time to pick for the jams and conserves. Even the people I buy my spices and Colin's Chilli, and Mango Chutney from want to come around this year to get some for their little cottage industry. There's more than enough to go round, if the birds don't get it all first.

I hope you're all warm and cozy, I am thinking of all of you! Take care...M x

Dark skies, temp 37°F (2.7°C), clouds look ready to dump, depending on where the temp stays we are going to get rain or snow by this evening. The only place I have to go is up to the mail box as a package from zulily is due in today. It is a cute fleece camo outfit for my youngest GD. It will be small enough to fit in the box so she won't bring it to my door.

I'm glad to hear bobo is getting the protein shakes and probiotics down. I so want her to be feeling better!! ((bobo))

Airom, glad to hear Dex is doing OK. I love the smell of line dried sheets!! Not an option here in winter either ndgirl.

Fiaranch, sorry you had to get the Claw! We've all done it at one point or another when something just had to be done and no one else was going to do it. I've managed to make my self stay away from the Marika site, but I succumbed to zulily yesterday and have a bunch of leggings and a couple scarves and clogs coming my way. I keep telling myself no more, but as I am getting things I have ordered and wearing them, I feel so good about myself that I can't help but go back for more!

Zills, that note is precious!! You did get the toy didn't you??

Nice to see you again wirdgirl! Glad the puppy is settling in nicely.

Posting before I go to the next page, just in case.

    Hugs!

Wren, you are a dear! I'm with Ariom, not sure I would be able to give up the kitty once I had him/her a while.

Oh man, ldesim, I sure hope your phone isn't in the washer!! I did that in Oct and it totally killed it. Techs at AT&T did some magic (after it sat in pieces in rice for a week) and were able to pull off my contacts but all the photos were lost.

Thinking of you gramwe, hope OG is feeling better. Oh yes, where are we on the baby size?

Airom, your garden sounds wonderful!! I'd love to have that great selection of lettuces!! The deer would just eat them unfortunately, before I'd ever get to them. sigh...

Time to drive up to my mailbox at the road to see if my package is there.

    Hugs to all!

Hi gB, I hope your parcel was there!

I'm keeping fingers crossed that ldesim has found that phone, and it wasn't in the washer.

I can't tell you how much I love this garden, it is an absolute joy every day! I am a lettuce lover, I could eat salad every day and never get tired of it. This is my first real veggie garden, having been a city girl all my life.

We have monster Possums here that eat my strawberries, but they leave everything else alone, thank goodness.

Dex is looking much better and hasn't had any SE's yet! Off for a walk now... chat later M x

You guys! I have missed you so much! I love my card, signed by all of you. I slept with it in the bed.

It hurts my eyes to read on the computer much so I haven't been doing anything -- did my grades, hope they came out right! I don't feel very good right now. I tried to keep our Z and our I updated via text. But, truly, I can't say how bad it's been. There were many catheters that didn't make any sense. Permanent cathethers, and then what they call 'in-and-out' catheters. It's a good thing I trimmed up my lola before I went in.

I have thrush! That's why the low-grade fever, I suspect. They just sent me home, didn't even diagnose it. They said, you'll get better just as well at home. And then I was instructed to go to the emergency room if my fever rose by .8 of a degree.

I am flat on my back -- my mother has been awful -- and I'm going to tell you some stories about her tomorrow. She's on a cruise, thank god, but back on Friday. The pain is pretty bad, but I'm not sure if that's because I threw up so much. Funny story -- this awful nurse, while I was throwing up, said, smugly, I know how to cure throwing up, and broke open an alcohol towlette, and held it under my nose while I was throwing up in a basin, and I threw up right on her hand!

My BS said I was in a great amount of pain when I left sx, masked by the anasthetic, and she saw it because my heart rate was up in a way that indicates extreme pain. So my theory is that was what what making me throw up. And they were pushing all kinds of different things in the iv to stop it. And then the antibiotics led to the thrush. I still have it now. I've had nothing much to eat since last Thursday.

Good news: I have too much going on in the immediate to really look at/mourn over the 'area,' which actually looks pretty bad. Our princess is keeping her distance. Trying not to care about that too much.

I really can't tell you what it's meant to me to get your emails and texts and cards -- I have really been knocked low. I was completely alone with my mother for two days -- the second day I got no sleep at all, she is a sadistic maniac. I welcome your texts whenever you want to send them, that's for sure! Wait. How was the OG's surgery? Is he in much pain? And Ariom, how are your visitors? And how is our watermelon baby?

Tomorrow the children go for an outing with a friend of mine, so I could have 2 hours off. This friend is a work colleague and doesn't know about the sx. It's going to be pretty obvious. Everything just feels like a mess. You should see poor DLLP. Things were so bad in the hospital that she could never sleep at home. I tried to be as brave as possible so that she would not be too upset.

I miss you guys so much and wish you all lived here pretty badly right now. XXXXXX

    Welcome new people!

Hi, so many updates, it's great to hear from everyone!

PRB, bob, Fiaranch, wren, wirdgirl - nice to meet you!

bobo - glad you're back online! I'm so sorry for everything you have been going through. That nurse?! So weird and not what you neeeded! I'm glad your mother is away for a few days, I hope the less stressful environment will help. Don't worry about acting brave for others, it's your time to be taken care of. I hope you get many breaks from your children in the coming weeks, and I hope you don't have more work to do for the rest of the year!

PRB - have you made your decision yet? I don't envy you, it must not be easy to weigh the pros & cons.

wirdgirl - congratulations on the puppy!

Ariom - your garden sounds so lovely! Thanks for the description, I can just imagine it. Such a contrast to the winter wonderland I am in today. Nothing exciting about the work that brought me to your continent, it was software for mining companies.

Zills - sorry about the iron marks and taste bud changes... It looks like you have been through a lot this year, you're probably looking forward to 2014!

Idesim - the snow will surely continue for you tomorrow and you can enjoy it then, it's been non-stop since this morning here. Good luck finding your phone!!

Fiaranch - congratulations on all this cleaning, you must be relieved it's done.

My son loves being able to give me big hugs again after 2 weeks of having to be gentle. But he says that I smell different than before?? No comment from DH, not as perceptive I think! I don't have bandages anymore, so not sure if this chopped off body smells different? For those who have pets (there seems to be many, I envy you since my allergies prevent me from owning one), did they behave differently after your surgery?

I'm fed up of being so stiff, I have less flexibility now than a week ago, is it normal? I do the stretches as prescribed 3-4 times/day, but I now even have pain in my forearms instead of just the upper arms/shoulders. Can't wait to see the PT on Tuesday.. Maybe I should blame the 2 hours of playing Legos on the floor?Smile

Oh my goodness! I take the dog for a walk and everyone is here!

Bobo, mwah, mwah!!!!! Air Kisses for you!!!! You have been missed my lovely one. I am so terribly sorry that you've had such a rotten time, and not over yet it seems. Please take it easy, you can't push yourself with all this going on.

When you say "back" does that mean your Mother is coming back to the tiny house after the cruise?

I feel for the 4 of you, it has been just one upset after another. The Princess will be fine, it is just a process, if you show it as being fine, it will be!

Gentle hugs, can't wait for more updates. M x

otceb, That's interesting! any work that can take you half way round the world is always good!

I used to join every committee at United, so I could go to the meetings. I loved to travel for my job, and add a few vacation days to the end of the trip to enjoy the place. We girls at United were known to fly to wherever someone from our station would be doing training, and we'd stay in the room that the company provided. It wasn't unusual for 4 of us to be in a King size bed to save money for shopping!LOL

I enjoyed hearing about your Summer when I was freezing through our Winter. I t was nice to know you were all enjoying the Sun and I was cozy with the heating on watching the storms roll in.

bobo! Gentle hug, hug, and another hug!! So good to see you posting. I am so sorry this has been such a hard experience for you!! Argh! Your mother is coming back to you after her cruise??? Lock the door, don't let her in!! This is your time to pamper yourself, rest and heal yourself, not wait on or deal with someone else!

So glad to check in tonight after concert and see a post from bobo!! but so darn sorry that things just are not going well for her, and really? mom is coming back again? Oh I wish I was close to you, I would be so glad to help you and your little princess and everyone. Also would love the Florida weather. All I can say is get as much rest and nourishment as possible! And it seems none of this is easy is it? waiting for more stories on mommy dearest!

otc, I remember that my 3rd week was pretty bad for stiffness, and remember being very concerned but just continued to do the stretches and exercise they told me to do. It will lessen, but does take time, and I still feel stiffness if I forget to stretch now. how interesting the remark about you smell different, I used to think my mother smelled different after she had surgery too, no one has told me I smell different yet! maybe there is something to it afterall. Used to think i was crazy thinking that.

Ariom love hearing about your garden and the dolphins, water etc. keep it coming, just dreaming about planting flowers and veggies again, usually in January the seed catalogs start to arrive! I still think you live in paradise! well except for monster possums and lizards!

Zills, love the santa letter, how precious is that?

Hi to everyone! off to bed.

Bobo, so glad you're feeling well enough to post. Maybe it's time to tell your Mom you can't rest with her there and you really need to rest. She'll be mad, but so what. She can stay with your brother if she can't change an airline ticket. My niece enlisted me to manage her mother when she came to visit. SIL stayed with us, which helped me do it. Niece was busy with her husband who was in extremely poor health and eventually passed.

I know what you mean about it being hard to give up foster kitties. I've cried over a couple and adopted one I was fostering. I'd love to have a cat of my own again, but we're too old to get a kitten and can't afford vet bills for an older cat. Of course there have been a few cats we couldn't wait to get rid of.

Yea! Bobo's feeling a little better if she's posting. Hope to get an update from Granwe soon. Hope ldesim found her phone.

I had the most fantastic steak last night. Sorry bobo. It was tender, flavorful, almost melted in your mouth. And I ate the whole thing minus a few bites DH stole. I did have asparagus but couldn't stomach the spaghetti squash. We split a chocolate creme brûlée.

On my sugar rush, we stopped at the new costco to see what the buzz was about. Probably there about 20 min before I crashed. Long enough to see the toys, diapers, cat food and meat counter. DH was ready to go get the baby.

We probably drove longer dropping off kids than the date lasted. It was so nice. I couldn't tell you how long it's been. A year? I didn't realize how much the boys allergies weigh on me, plus trying to keep them entertained just wears me out.

I wanted to look nice so I put on a sweater big mistake. My chest itched and my underarm hurt. Before the meal was over I was holding the sweater away from my chest and had my broken chicken wing propped up on the table so my underarm wouldn't touch. I was also cold. I thought about putting on my hat, an ACDC beanie but opted for my jacket. It was a nice restaurant with cloth tablecloths and napkins.

Yes the 4 wheelers are in the back of my truck. DH thinks he's old enough for a model train. The boy wants it to be remote control with a bridge like the display we saw at the lights. Not sure the baby is ready. She likes to put them in her hair! And of course walks on the tracks.

Wren we have a bunch of black cats too.

ND are you feeling better after your good nights sleep?

    gB. Did your pkg arrive?

    O. I'm sure Legos on the floor and the giant pot of macaroni didn't help. I used dial soap on my armpits for awhile. My scar ends in folds under my arm and stuff got trapped there. I also found my old deodorant didn't work anymore. I switched to toms of Maine and love it.

    F. Glad your house is clean. I've given up.Clean clothes and groceries is all I can manage with all the appts and holiday stuff.

    W. Congrats on the new dog. I'd love to have a dog, not a puppy but know I don't have enough energy now. Love puppy cam!

Supposed to go bake illegal cookies this morning. Not pot ones but I did consider it during chemo. Ones with nuts and contaminated chocolates. I've been helping a friend bake for several years now. Good excuse to get out of the house. She probably makes at least 5 or 6 kinds.

Hi all! Oh boy did I have a full day today. I took Dex for a shorter than usual walk. I didn't want to push him since he's on this heavy medication for two weeks.

When I got back I planted everything in the veggie patch, and then I started to get all the flat weeds out of the lawn. It has been really hot dry this week so I was still dragging the sprinkler around the yard when it got dark . It was a huge job, and I am tired and stiff, and have so many mozzie bites I could scream!LOL

Zills, I am so pleased to hear how you enjoyed your dinner last night. I hadn't realized Duh! that it had been so long since you'd had a real "Date" but you've been caught up with so much treatment and not being able to taste things. It's been a bloody long road. I hope that you can make a habit of it, and enjoy a lot more meals out.

Ready for bed.. I think the claw may pay me a visit tonight..take care M x

Zills, I'm so happy you had a date night and had a good time! It's so difficult to make time to reconnect with our spouse and treat ourselves to a night out. You so deserved it! As for the model train, your son might be old enough especially if it's a cheaper one (not the fancy one that collectors have!). My son got one when he was 4 and, although we were the ones to assemble the small tracks, he loved making it roll and stop. Thankfully, he now assembles it himself when he wants it (switching out the wooden Thomas he still plays with!).

Ariom - you seem to have lived so many fun adventures! I love travelling too, but have switched jobs since the Australian trips since it was becoming too stressful to travel for work with my young son staying behind and DH not having support (our families don't live close by). We now travel whenever we can for vacations, but it's unfortunately not often! Sorry about all the bites and I hope the claw did not visit...

Wren - I'm glad you found a way to give love to kitties without the demands of a kitten or vet bills. You do have a big heart!

ndgirl - glad to hear you related to the smell change and thanks for sharing your experiences. I think I have to accept this new reality regarding mobility and that it's a long process. Life has changed so much in 2 months. Smile

Yay! So glad to see Bobogirl posted!!

Zils, I'm glad you had a good time on your date and even more glad to hear you enjoyed your food!!

M, while I was shoveling this morning, I was thinking of you and lounging around and of flip flops and I cursed you!! no just kidding, I was smiling.

I did find my phone it was in the basement. I put it down while doing laundry and puttering around with stuff and it must have vibrated its way into one of the xmas storage totes when a call or text came in and made it vibrate. I must have gotten a call or text and it vibrated into one of the xmas storage totes... since the battery ended up dying I couldn't call and find it lol.

Wren, I too would have a hard time letting them go especially when a lot of them have issues and you have been tending to them. One of the attys that I work with (the only one in the whole firm who I just cannot stand) tells me on Friday that she just dropped her kitten off at the vet (she got a black kitten a few months ago from a shelter) to get declawed and was paying $700+ for it. I was just sick to my stomach to hear that. Don't have the friggin animal.. so what if it scratches a door or a sofa.. you can buy another one of those with the $700 and spare the poor animas a lot of pain. (sorry for anybody out there that may believe in doing this.. I am fiercely opposed). The disgust must have shown on my face because she started defending it and I just changed the subject because frankly I was sick to my stomach.

M, what wonderful experiences you must have had during your time with the airline, if I had it all to do over again, that is something I might consider doing.

    Ndgirl, how was the concert?

Fia, I'm think you are even worse than we are.. I sure hope you are feeling better. please be careful crazy lady.

PRB, what a great idea with the caramels in the middle... I so love caramel.. I may have to give that a try too!

Otceb, my animals don't seem to think I stink... are you on meds of some sort? I can't remember if you are on Tamoxifen... maybe something from that? That must be upsetting!!! Yes, I would think 2 hours of legos on the floor could result in a little sitffness.. but I did feel stiffer as the time went out.. I attributed it to getting some feeling back. Like everything else, this too shall pass.

GB, it's not a Zulilly pkg you are waiting for are you? :)

I tried on the other 2 Marika items and the capris (not surprisingly) are way too long for me.. they look like floods and nothing like capris and the pink tank is perfect as well.. I guess I got lucky... 3 out 4 fit and I already knew I might have probs with the capris.

My arm is sore from shoveling... we only got about 5 inches.. which is 3 inches less than what was predicted, but the temperature is plummeting today so we wanted to clear it up before it turns to blocks of ice.

Gonna head back out for a bit... Have a wonderful Sunday!

    Rapid submission.

I made 6 of the sleighs and they are adorable if I do say so myself!!! 6 took me about 2 hours.. but that was getting organized and cutting ribbon etc.. I am doing 6 more and hopefully should be able to do them in a little over an hour now that I have a rhythm going! If I could find the cord for my digi camera I could upload.. my phone's camera is too crappy.

Hello all and special greetings to Bobo (good to see you back) !!

This mornings mood is "NOW SERVING BITTER FOR ONE " !!! So I given myself the claw and clean the whole %$)%)#)$ house . Now only to find a water leak dripping through the drywall. DH is away constructing our forever home and won't be home for a week. My instructions are to pee 4 times before flushing , don't use the washing machine or the dishwasher , turn off the water and call him if the leak increases . In a week he will spend xmas vacation tearing out drywall to find the leak . Son of a B . I believe this is my bad Karma for cleaning !!!! I swear sometimes it just never stops................... Ok RANT OVER ........... for a minute anyway.

Per the Mo no estrogen for me . So food choices have been less than desirable. Today all I want to do is have a gallon of margaritas, 3 bags of potato chips and dip and 2 cartons of cigarettes (yep another item I am trying to remove from my life) I am also to stay within 10 lbs of my current weight ..........Then I read on this forum form someone I HAVE GAINED 60 LBS on tamox !! Holy crap !! So I have been experimenting with recipes (keep in mind cooking is not a pleasure for me but I can do it .) I have been eating this granola with greek yogurt and a small amount of honey every day. It fills me up and is healthy. Recipe is as follows in case anyone wants it

    Granola

8 cups rolled oats (not instant)

    1 1/2 cups wheat germ

    1 cup sunflower seeds

    1cup chopped almonds

    1 cup chopped pecans

    1 cup chopped walnuts

    1/2 cup brown sugar

    1/4 cup maple sugar

    3/4 cup honey

    3/4 cup canola oil

    1 tablespoon cinnamon

    1 1/2 teaspoons salt

    1 tablespoon vanilla extract

2 cups dried fruit (I use 1/2 raisins and 1/2 cranberries)

1.Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Line 2 large baking sheets with parchment paper or foil

    2. Combine oats, wheat germ, seeds and nuts

    3. In a saucepan combine brown sugar, maple syrup, honey, oil, cinnamon , salt and vanilla. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then pour over dry ingredients and stir to coat. Spread mixture over dry ingredients. Spread evenly over baking pans.

    4. Cook for 20 minutes, remove from oven and stir . Bake another 20 minutes.

    5. Cool and stir in dried fruit, store in Ziploc bags or containers

Oh and on a random note . I also had to change deodorant and "smelled weird for a month" I could smell it myself and my 2 cats and dog were smelling me non stop for a month. I blame it on the anesthetic. The animals have topped smelling me and I can't smell that weird smell any more. Go figure !!!

OK off now to contemplate the MEANING OF LIFE !!!

Next week I have packages coming almost every day! :D

Ariom, sorry about all the bites, that must really be miserable. Hope you manage to stave off the Claw!

Fiaranch, that just plain sux about the leak!! Like you needed any other problems to deal with right now.

Now that everyone is mentioning it, my cat did sniff me an awful lot the first few weeks after sx. You may be right Fiaranch that it was the anesthetic working its way out of our bodies.

Hoping to hear from gramwe soon.

bobo hope you can get some good rest while mom is gone.

Lots of posts!! sorry about the skeeter bites Ariom, sometimes those can just about ruin summer! take a bath with some baking soda always helps!

Zills, so glad you got to have a date, and enjoyed the steak!! too bad about the sweater, maybe a silky camisole would help, I bought a long sleeve one for LLBean many years ago and still love it and it stands up great. As much as we love our children, it is still nice to get away for a little bit and just be ourselves!

Fiaranch,.. that really sucks! just hate when things like that enter our already messed up lives!!

    GrammB.. that outfit is adorable!

Good for you Idesim, making sleighs, so far I have just thought about it!

Feeling better with no cold symptoms but now pain where bra fits on my top rib,, ugh, not sure why this is happening, guess new crazy feelings, pains etc will always be popping up with this new model of a body I now have. Going to massage with vitamin E oil, any more suggestions? anyone ever had this?

Hi to everyone.. special thoughts still going Bobo's way.

I do have some good news tho, a girlfriend that lives in neighboring town was at the concert last night and she had just had a scan (she has stage 1v lung cancer) and no cancer was found this time around!! she is just a miracle... been thru hell with chemo, rads, the whole bit, but now good news!! that made my night and day!! Love success stories like that. Way to go Pat!! she has a great attitude too.

Bobo wants some advice to deal with Mom. I'll forward your messages if she's still not up to the computer.

Apparently mom is zero help but DLLP feels better if someone is there. Kids will be out of school next week. DLLP has to work. Aunt thinks it was elective surgery!

Hello everyone, what a good read this Monday morning. It is very grey today, looks like heavy rain is coming. That will give me the time, and the inclination, for the final little bit that I have to do in the dressing room to get it finished.

I have woken, feeling surprisingly well. My hands are swollen, and my shoulders are stiff, but The Claw didn't really visit this time, just a shadow of its former strength. It definitely is getting better!

I did say to Colin that I just don't have the stamina I used to have. I worked for a few hours in the garden, came in for a Nana Nap and then got stuck into it again. I have never done that before, it would usually just be stop for a cup of tea and back into it. He reminded me of my last "milestone" birthday, but I don't think 60 should be the beginning of my demise. LOL

ldesim, those place mats are gorgeous! I have a "beachy" Christmas theme for my table. Everything is in white and sea-glass aqua with place mats that have an anchor design and napkins that are an underwater design with coral and shells and starfish. The Bon-Bons, which Bec loves to pull are silver.

I watched a documentary last night about the First Stewardesses on BOAC and their incredible lifestyle, during the 60's and the 70's. I was laughing with Colin, telling him that not much has changed these days with flight crew, they still love to party! I went through all the interview process with Aussie Airline Ansett, and got in! I had just met and started going out with my First Husband, so when they said I would have to move to another state for the first year, I declined the offer. I can still remember the phone call. They were just mortified that I would turn down their offer. Did I realize how many girls dreamed of getting this position? The irony was that not long after, we moved to Sydney for a year, and married there. It would not be till I was in my early 40's that I would fulfill my Airline dream, but as ground crew, with great travel rights! LOL It truly was a dream job.

So glad you found your phone. I was hoping you wouldn't have to replace it!

ndgirl, we have so much in common from this surgery! I have a sore spot that I have deduced, is right where my big stonking drain was placed. I find the spot hard to find when I am feeling for it, but sometimes the band of my bra, or the seam, just catches it and it's sore! I am always massaging. I think that is the only defense we have from these sore, irritating things that will probably come and go.

Great news about your friend too. I have just heard that one of my besties, who was Dx with ca of the vulva around the same time a my Dx has just had the second side removed as well as all the skin up to her pubic bone. My goodness, it is a horror story, but the good news is that there was no local invasion. She jokes about walking like she's just gotten off a horse, and that she's stitched up like a turkey! That will be a long painful recuperation!

Fiaranch, I am so sorry that you now have this water issue to deal with on your own. That's just crappy. I hope it turns out to be minor.

Go easy on the Margaritas!LOL Oh I don't envy you giving up the smoking. I was a shocker till I gave up in 2007. I had tried all sorts of things till I found this guy who gave a money back guarantee, and all I had to do was spend a couple of hours chatting with him No hypnosis, No scare tactics. He does a form of the Carr method. I kid you not, I walked out of there a non smoker after that session. I have no idea what he did, but I came home, had a lousy weekend of withdrawals, and never smoked again. I can sit amongst smokers, and be totally unaffected.

gB, cute outfit! Your Zulilly addiction is paying off! the little one will love wearing that.

otceb, you're right about me having a great time. I couldn't have wished for a better working life. It was often stressful and long hours, but always filled with fun or lots of travel.

I am not as into travel these days. I really hate air travel LOL, I was completely spoiled by First Class travel for so long, but a good cruise is always a great holiday for us.

Bobo and gramwe, hugs to you both! M x
