    G'day everyone from downunder!

Oh you're a woman of my own heart ldesim. I fear for Jake too!

Yes, alas the Tim Tams are gone, I would have shared, had you been here. I am really not  a "greedy guts", Colin doesn't llike them.

I have to confess that, although you all know about my Foob and Cami addiction, they have just managed to curb my shoe addicction for a moment. Sensible, nah, not likely! I can't wear the heels of my youth, but I love a boot with a heel for the winter. I have lots! My faves are my little ballet flats, Colin says they have been breeding in the dark, in the walk in robe!

Gramwe, we are missing you! Are you Ok? Just wondering about what could have been in the erased post. Come back Gramwe!!!!!!!

Wren, Where is Fishermans Terminal? I'd love to see that dedication. I am in awe of the men who do that job. Can you even imagine being married to one? I admire the women who see them off, not knowing if they'll make it back. That would be a stress filled life. They deserve the money they make.

When we were in Atlanta for a month, one of the guys that Colin was working with asked us to an "All you can eat!" massive, Asian Restaurant. It was a truly amazing place, and just decising what to try was difficult. Finally I discovered the GIANT crab legs, OMG, were they "delish". The waiters were laughing at the pile of shell I created, and Colin had to explain who I can be a bit obsessive when I find something I like!....Really?

Wirdgirl, I don't know what the reason is for not shipping to Australia. Most places are just fine with it. I can buy from Nordstroms direct, but they have a note on the Alex and Ani bracelets, when you try to check out that says, they can't be shipped to Australia. It's not like they are sold here anywhere and they are protecting the sales here. It's just crazy.

    Scheckel, Schmeckel, I love that!

Now, I am thinking that you may be thinking of the "Mars Bar" in tea. The art of eating a TimTam with tea, is you bite the top and the bottom off the cookie, and then you use it like a straw and suck up the tea through it. Not dignified, but some people do it. I just like them as they come, but I rarely eat them.

Well I think I am caught up now. It is a bright & sunny, still morning. Thae lake is like glass and there are lots of Pelicansn looking for fish. It's very crisp, and cold. Dexter is watching to see if I am going to get organised and take him for a walk. We have  long weekend here for the Queens Birthday, so there are lots of people around. My new neighbors have 9 people staying, and the house next door is full of the sons and friends of those neighbours, who are away in France. I have to make sure Dex doesn't make a sound because I am sure they will all be late sleepers.

I am going to drop off bags of Colin's stuff, from the clearout, at the opp shop. Then some gardening if it isn't too cold.

I hope you all are ding fine and it's not too warm, I wish it was warm here! Take care, catch you later!  M

I'm backkkk. What you thought you'd get rid of me? Nope. Y'all are stuck with me. For better or worse. Right now it's for worse. Femara is knocking my emotions, moods from one wild extreme to the other. The earlier post read like words from Ghandi, tried later an Attila the Hun was spouting, for this moment I'm humming along on an even keel, that may change before the end of this post. Poor OG came home today wearing a helmet, protective cup, carrying a jumbo box of tissues, and chocolates. He tossed the cat inside first figuring if he didn't come flying out the door hairless, it might be safe to walk in. Reading about sweet Phil and his sons from Deadliest Catch unleashed a long crying episode..Then some poor smuck got there a$$ handed to them on a platter when they called trying to sell me on satellite TV. Living in the outback having peeing contest with koalas, or disembowling a roo may be in my future if I can't find a way to control this lovely SE.

Is anyone missing an ark? One just floated by in the river previously known as our street. At the supermarket this morning another customer comment that it was humid. I stopped dead in my tracks, and said Ya Think! It's raining cats and dogs, please tell me when you've been in a dry rain.

Happy Birthday Bobo! Hope you enjoy your special day.

Hugs to everyone. I'm taking me and all my new personalities to bed. Tomorrow will be a better day...Please! !!!!!!

Gramwe, aren't tropical storms fun? We got rained on all day yesterday. We need it, but still. Had some wind gusts up to 38 mpg. Was seriously considering putting a leash on Spookie so she wouldn't blow away. She's only 7#.

Luckily we haven't had the wind. As wet as the ground is, we would have trees down. Sure hope that the weather guessers are wrong in their predictions for hurricane season.

Ariom, The Fisherman's Terminal is in Seattle, on the ship canal. Just north is the neighborhood of Ballard, which was settled by Scandinavians. On Norwegian Constitution Day, there's a huge parade. One year the King & Queen of Norway came. So fishing is in the blood here. There's another Fisherman's Terminal in San Francisco, but it's been developed into a tourist attraction.

Gramwe, I am so sorry you're having those dreadful Se's. F Femara!

I like the OG, he sounds like my kinda man! LOL "Be prepared", for anything, is his motto!

I looked at your weather, and the humidity was 98%!!!!!! gosh that's exhausting. I used to spend a lot of time in Singapore, and they had that kind of humidity. I had a hard time doing anything, I always felt like I was carrying around a hot wet blanket, and my hair, omg, it was a constant bad hair day!LOL

Oh gosh, we all loved Phil and the boys, so sorry to upset you, by reminding you of them.

I had to laugh, today when I was changing channels ont he TV, there was a Big Red (roo) attacking a tourist on a documentary. I told Colin that you all, don't really believe me about the roos, but there it was. Our local paper did a report this week on the Koala counting on the island, and there is a colony of 107, there you go I am a font of useless information!  Not a lot of news happens here!

Gramwe, I hope those SE's settle down. Have some of that chocolate, it's bound to make you feel better.

Wren, thankyou for letting me know where Fishermans Terminal is.

I have been to Fishermans Wharf in SFO, (probably not the same place) I love Ghiradelli Square,(sp) I love chocolate, and I always said I could live in SFO. I went there, for the first time when I was about 21, and I left my heart in SFO, I didn't want to come home. Sorry, just went off on a tangent there.

Our Bobo must be out out cyber range at the farm. I hope she's having a wonderful time.

There have been lots of people around today, walking their dogs past the front fence. Dex is "MR Territorial" from the left far fencepost to the right far fencepost. I locked his doggie door so he wouldn't freak out the walkers when he takes a run at the fence, all full of huff and puff. It has taken a few "bounce offs" for him to "get it!"

    It's almost dark now, just 5.30pm F Winter........Talk later..Take care all!

Good day. The sun is shining!!! At least until this afternoon. The OG escaped early, smart man. He is in the process of building a canoe, 5 of them in fact, just for fun, he's trying to get as much accomplished as he can before he's one handed again. He has always want to build a boat so he's like a kid at Christmastime. So far he hasn't even shown me a picture, that means he wants to try to surprise me with his newest creation. I so hope this surgery works. He is a very talented craftsman, the furniture he makes is done in old style, no nails, no screws, with 100s of coats of hand rubbed finish. Losing the use of his hand has been literally life changing for him.

I'm green with envy, over all of the places you guys have visited. My dream has always been to visit far away places, I've resigned myself to the fact now that it will never happen. Never even owned a passport.

    M. It sounds like a lot of people have invaded your little slice of paradise. Poor Dex. Sure hope he isn't having to see any males in hoodies ..

Off to strut my stuff through town. Y'all have a good day, or sweet dreams. Hugs.

Ooh!  I love that furniture with no nails in it!  Fingers crossed for the OGs surgery.  I know it is going to be a dazzling success.

Gramwe, so happy you are having a better day.  F Femara!  Hmm, our Ariom has quite a potty mouth: that is exactly how we like her.  I admire you so, Ariom, wearing your plucky little shoes and boots!  I am a lesbian, so I wear sensible shoes.  Plus vegetarian shoes.  All the same I am collecting the last shards of my punk allure around me.  :)

Wren, Dunedin!  I'm going to look it up right now.  Please hold.  OMG, you are right near Tampa!  Did you go to the lunch last week?  I so look forward to the next one -- my nephew's birthday was that day, and then it was also my darling's school play.

Ah, the Vitamix.  I am overdue to tell you about it.  It has the engine of an airplane in it, or something!  You can make cheese sauce -- cheese, milk, nutmeg, a little dried mustard, s and p -- and whoosh it together for six and a half minutes, and it comes out hot!  You can put fresh bread in -- just roll it into a ball -- and make bread crumbs!  So do that first.  Then the hot cheese sauce.  Pour sauce over cooked elbow noodles, top with grated cheese, then bread crumbs, whoosh it in the oven until crumbs are brown: macaroni and cheese!  The Vitamix cleans itself in 30 seconds.

Ariom, it is half the price you say in Aus.  Still expensive, but I did installment plan on QVC! I got it after my last surgery.  F surgery!  I must say, many days the Vitamix saves my bacon.  Take today for example.  DLLP made waffles.  The older parents of our friends popped in: DLLP fed them, and our kids, and herself.  Then she said my waffle came out raw inside.  No breakfast for me.  So I had a smoothie in the Vitamix!

Here is what I made today:

smoothie: melon, lime, banana, coconut water and spinach

    guacamole

"cheese" (vegan cheese, silken tofu, tofu sour cream, nutmeg) for grilled cheese sandwiches for kids

Then I took the residual and added artichoke hearts, garlic, and olive oil, along with 1/2 cup of pasta cooking water, and served that sauce with udon noodles.  Had fresh sauteed summer squash with it.

Then I made the kids a tomato pasta for dinner: fresh tomatoes, sun-dried tomatoes, a carrot, a small onion, 1/2 cup silken tofu, oregano and basil.  Smooth and beautiful light orange creamy pasta sauce.  Served with tri-color rotini, corn on the cob.

Then I made an asian ginger sauce for our dinner later: ginger, the rest of the tofu, green onion, garlic, tamari, and two tbs of almond butter.  Yum!  I'm going to serve it over a steamed composed vegetable plate.

Then I made an almond dressing for our salad (mixed greens, avocado, and pear).

Oh -- last night I made the kids applesauce with pear and cherries -- it's raw, and it comes out like applesauce!  Organic.  Their pasta sauce was raw!  All the fresh nutrients, tossed with hot pasta.

And you can make ice cream in the vitamix!  1 c yogurt, one bag frozen berries = frozen yogurt. But they have real ice cream as well.

So how is that for a Vitamix report?  Wirdgirl, thank you for the kind words... you will not be able to stop at one bracelet!  Idesim is right about the tinkling. XXX

Good Morning all from icy Paynesville!

First morning that there is ice on the windscreen, and frost on the grass. Dex had to be coaxed out by me, in my dressingown and bare feet, for a pee.

Our big Sunday market is on today, so I must get ready early, and not muck about this morning. Fresh fruit and veg from the local farms, my fave, Hazelnut and Cooffee Fudge, and Dukkah, oh my, this lady makes the most wonderful Dukkah and Mixed spices for the Tagine. I love vegetarian Tagine with chickpeas.

Gramwe, I told Colin of the OG's plans for the canoes, and how he is such a craftsman. He was so impressed. There is nothing he would love more than to be able to use his hands again. He has no problem with not walking, but used to build thing with his Dad when he was young, and loved it. Colin wishes the OG, all the very best for his surgery, as do I!

I would never have done as much travel as I have, if I didn't work for an Airline. It is hard not to, when it is virtually free, I was really lucky because with United, they sent you everywhere, for work, in First Class, and then you ould opt to pay a small surcharge to travel that way when you were traveling on your off time too. It certainly spoiled me for economy travel. I want to cry every time I enter a plane and turn right! LOL

I am so "over" travel now that I don't know if I'll do any more big trips. The problem for us is that Australia is so far away. I takes 28 hours to fly to the UK or Europe, and about 16 hours to the west coast of USA. When Colin and I travel, it is just me 24/7 as the carer too. Add to that, all the packing and bag transporting, and wheelchair pushing. I am knackered just thinking about it. Not complaining, just explaining.

I had to laugh, Bobo, I have lesbian friends who wear shoes like me! In fact, they covet my shoes! LOL Come to think of it, so do my gay men friends! LOL

The sound of the food you make in that Vitamix is wonderful. I don't eat dairy, haven't had any for about thirty years, well maybe the little bit in fudge etc, but have absolutely no memory of the taste of cream, milk, butter, or cheese.

Me thinks it isn't fair how you keep missing out on food prepared by DLLP.

I am on my knees and bowing to the almighty QVC, or HSN. Oh gosh, I would love to shop there, but alas, they won't accept my credit cards, or ship to Australia. We have a shopping network here, I am a Gold member, and even have a girlfriend who is a presenter on it, but they just don't get all the stock, or indeed, the prices you guys get over there. I often watch the HSN presentations on the net for new products that are going to be presented here.

I am off to do the Rites, must tell you about my accident yesterday. I ran from the lounge to the familyroom to shout and "pointy eye" Dex who was barking at people passing the window. I hit the yoga mat which skidded on the slate floor, and before I knew it I was on my side, legs akimbo.  I thought I'd feel it today, at least, be bruised, but nothing, nada. How good's that?

Well girls, I am off to do the Rites, and go to the market. I'll take Dex with me for a walk....Take care! M

It's Sunday here, so it would be your birthday right now Bobo! I am in your future here in Aus, so let me tell you, you are having a wonderful day!

Ooh!  I am so glad I am having a good day!  Sometimes my birthdays are kind of bumpy.

What is dukkah?  So sorry about your fall -- although you came out like a champ.  I believe you are extremely flexible from the rites!

Colin is so sweet about everything.  I don't eat dairy either, haven't for eons.  That recipe was from the QVC show about the Vitamix.  DON'T tell Colin, but I think I am getting another bracelet tomorrow for my birthday!

I know lesbians wear real shoes -- and so, in fact, did I once -- but now I am in this casual hippy place, there is no real reason to wear shoes at all, it is super-hot here.  Got vegan lesbian black patent leather birkenstocks and pedicure!  Super-fancy.  :)  XXX

Granwe, never say never.. There's still plenty of time ahead for travelling and we're all going to Australia, didn't you know? So you better look into getting a passport :)  Where do you most want to go?  As I said before, I'd love to go to New Zealand And Italy, I've never been to Italy, I'd love to spend a year in Italy,  I want to see Rome, Venice, Napa and the list grows and grows.  Greece would be another place I'd love to you.

Those SE's really sound like a pain in the arse.. F SE's, F Femara and F our hormones.  I'm waiting for mine to kick in from the Tamoxifen.. I have a short fuse to begin with and I shudder to think what this drug may do to me.  I'm liking OG more and more each day, what a smart one using the cat as a shield and bearing chocolate!

Granwe, don't worry, I have bail money set aside, we'll make sure you don't stay locked up long!  Big hugs to you sweetie, we love every one of your personalities.

Sleep in late this morning, that was much needed.  Joe was working so I was able to clean the house in peace and that felt good too, but boy is my energy level low.  I know it's to be expected, but I hate it.

Helooooooooo ladies! I am tucked up on the couch, hot cuppa, and Dex the foot warmer is doing his job.

We went to the market, got a few things, and had a big walk. It was just beautiful in the sunshine, no wind, but by 3pm it was getting chilly again. I had a snoozie, ate fudge, and read the Sunday papers.

Hey Bobo, Dukkah is a side dish, I think from Egypt, originally. It is herbs spices and nuts ground up. You can do lots with it. You see it served with a small bowl of olive oil and crusty bread pieces. You dip the bread in the oil and then dip in the Dukkah. I love Dukkah sprinkled on salads, hot vegetables, or use as a coating on meats or Tofu and lightly fry.You can mix it through rice, and is great with filled potato.

I bought Red Centre Dukkah today that contains Almond, Pistachio, Macadamia and Hazelnut with pinenuts, pepitos, sesame seeds and herbs with Tumeric and a blend of spices, often Moroccan blends.

I told Bec about your Vegan black patent leather Birkenstocks, and she wants them! She wears sensible shoes, because she had a shattered, literally, ankle from a bad fall on a broken pavement years ago. The surgery was extensive, to fix it.  She doesn't eat meat, and is mortified if I ever have the audacity to have any red meat in the house when she visits. She refuses to wear leather too, so we can have "tense" moments when she spots a new handbag, or shoes at my place.

Bobo, I want to hear more of this Hippie, casual place where you are. I wonder which bracelet you are getting for your Birthday? It really is a wonderful thing that people can buy something you really love for your Birthday etc.

Take care Miss Bobogirl Have a super Birthday! x

ldesim, I am sorry to hear your energy is flagging. Not too much longer now, and that will be over. I am glad to see you had a sleep in.

I can completely relate to a year in Italy. That is where the hairdryer on Colin's "Kishkes" took place. He was competing in the Disabiliy, World Sailing Championships. We spent 3 weeks in the south and, a week in Rome. Nowhere near enough time, or enough travel, within Italy. I remember spending one full day where I pushed Colin all over Rome, from the Trevi Fountain to The Spanish Steps to the Collosseum, and Basilicas. Ten hours of jaw dropping stuff! I don't know how they got around in their Chariots on those cobblestones. OMG was that hard work! I had buns of steel after that trip.

I hope you have an easy time on Tamox. My Mother was on it for 5 years, and had very minimal SE's. I was so grateful for that. F all this hormone stuff!

Hoping you have had a good day!

Chicken soup and garlic bread for us tonight!

    Take care all...chat tomorrow!

Brrrrrr! Good Morning ladies, I hope you are all out having fun in the sun!

It is bitter here this morning, frost on the grass, and mist on the lake. Colin has set the heating to come on before I get up, but even though it has been on a couple of hours, I can barely feel it.

I actually have to dress to do the Rites now, I was just doing them in my knickers and tight tank, but it is way too old for that now. Don't be concerned, our windows are tinted, so I can't be seen by passing dog walkers! LOL

I have no plans for today so far, so I will check back later to see if anyone has been around...Take care M

Poor Moira, you've been left alone all day haha :)  It's so strange to hear of heat being on and chicken soup (love garlic bread), when here it is warm.  It sounds like you've had a couple of pleasant days.

We did errands today and last night went over my GF's where we played cards and laughed a lot... anybody know how to play Spades? I haven't played in years but it's like riding a horse.  I finally picked up something for the MO who I will see (not as a patient) for the last time on Thursday when I go in for my Herceptin and an echocardiogram.  I have strict orders to have her paged so she can say goodbye and give me her contact info.  Since she keeps telling me I have to come visit her in Maine and we'll get lobsters, I found a cute wooden box that has lobster utensils in it, along  with bibs and wetnaps.  I thought it was a nice little thing to get and I'll pick up some Godiva chocolate.   I had contemplated and contemplated the bracelets, but she just doesn't wear jewelry besides her wedding rings.  I still might get it as well, we'll see.

My brother's 42nd birthday is this Sunday, so we're having a little gathering at my house.  He called me the other day asking where he could get some jersey sheets as he just got a new apartment and of course that gave me a great gift solution, so I told him all the wrong places :)  Worse comes to worse he'll have an extra set.. he's a single guy, therefor, I know he doesn't do laundry until there is nothing left to wear :)

Back to work and radiation tomorrow.. I'll do better at catching up then :)

Hugs to everybody, and birthday whacks for Bobogirl with a pinch good luck.

DH tried to pull his usual trick of going out the week before Father's Day and buying every single thing he has ever wanted. I told him I would go with, let him pick out a present, then take it away and wrap it. He bought 4 new polo shirts (buy 1 get 1 free). He has lost weight and has been exercising and is just swimming in his clothes.

We went to a thrift store Friday night and I found 2 pr blue jeans and 1 white pr. Only the white may need hemming. At 5'2" finding anything that doesn't need hemming is exciting.

Ahhh there you are! I thought it was something I'd said! LOL

ldesim, it is weird, isn't it that we have the opposite weather thing going on, and as long as I live I will never "really" understand the time difference.LOL

You've been busy, out and about. I don't play cards, unfortunately, I never really picked it up. My Mother tried to teach me Gin Rummy, and my Dad, poker, but I was a disappointment to them both. I am far better at things like Trivial Pursuit, I have much useless info stored away.

I love the present you got for your MO. It sounds just perfect, since she has mentiond going out for Lobster. How great for you two to catch up. Godiva chocolates, omg, is there anything finer than Godiva? I don't think so. Before the big cost cuts at United, they used to serve Godiva chocolates in First Class. My girlfriend and I used to travel together a lot and we wouldcount the minutes till the big box of Godiva Chocolates would come out, oooh heaven. They did Beluga Caviar and Russian Vodka too, (Kak!) but that never did it for me! LOL

I love Lobster. That is my Christmas treat, every year. We don't have the traditional Christmas. My Mother's Birthday was on Christmas Eve, and being Scots, we always celebrated on the Eve, so we have continued it. It can be 110 on Christmas day here, so hot food and having the oven on does not appeal to us. I always do a big seafood extravaganza.

Anyway, I digress, I think it will be great for you to catch up with this lady that you have so much respect for. I have made a great connection with the radiologist who did my callback mammo and Core Biopsy. She keeps in touch, wants to kno what is going on, and sends me info on new research. I appreciate it so much. I have told her about this group, and she is so interested in us all having a bond across the ocean.

I hope your get together at your house for your Brother goes well. Youu made me laugh, sending him on a wild goose chase for sheets!

I admire you so much for managing work and rads. I wish you lots of energy to get through everything and enjoy the company at the party!

Hi Wrenn, gosh that made me laugh. You've got to love them! Buying everything he wants with the Fathers Day excuse. That's great.

I love that there is another thrift store devotee here! It is one of my favourite pastimes. The buying here is sensational! and there are so many stores. I ran into a woman the other day at an open day for my Massage Therapists Clinic. I commented on the jacket she was wearing and said I used to have one just like it. She asked if I had given it to an opp shop, I thought for a minute, and yes I did. LOL One of the problems of the small population here. I never had that happen in the city! LOL

    How are you doing?

I am discovering my right side chest isn't liking the cold weather at all. It is a weird sensation, but I think it is to do with the lack of insulation there now. I am wearing ski compression shirts under my clothes when I take Dex out for a walk. I also bought a little baby's hot water bottle, very cute, shaped like a penguin. Ha Ha! It fits in my shirt, under my yacht jacket, and when it goes cold, I can whip it into my pocket.

    All a learning curve!

Take care, and have a great evening....Chat later....M

Yucky rain AGAIN! Over 2 inches in 1 hour, now its pouring again. Please someone send some sunshine.

    .

Wren, my OG buys reasonable things for himself before Fathers day, birthday or Christmas, then tells us what he really needs (?) the front suspension for a 1962 Willys truck. Like any of us could run to the corner big box store and snag one of those. The truck is his mistress, he sneaks away to spend lustful hours with her rust.

Idesim, How sweet of you to get a gift for your MO, she'll love it! I haven't played Spades in years, as best as I remember I wasn't to good. I do play a pretty good game of poker, especially against a 7 year old. ; ) Have you noticed how quiet it is with Bobo out of town?

M, poor darling, dealing with the cold. Are all the visitors for the Queens birthday gone now? You with no plans for the day, are you okay? You always seem to have a plan.

Y'all may not recognize me tomorrow. I'm going to a Look Good Feel Good class, in search of some good looks. Actually it's a spy mission for my DIL, she was a makeup artist for Lancome' cosmetics, she wants me to find out what working/volunteering for the program entails. I'm curious to see what they offer, and maybe meet some new people.

Going to find a new book to read and listen to the rain on the roof. Hugs to all.

Hey there Gramwe! Zippy fingers here!

    So glad to see you.

I think most of the visitors are gone now. It is back to the usual quiet, just the birds, and Dex shouting at the odd dog walker. I had a lightbulb moment, and closed all the blinds on the lakeside windows so Dex couldn't see the tourists walking by. It stopped me from seeing the view, but it was better than listening to Dex shouting every time someone passed the fence.

I am willing to bet you have a great time at LGFB, I volunteered for it years ago when I worked for Clarins. I really enjoyed it. Your Daughter in Law would be so appreciated, as most of the volunteers aren't trained in makeup, well here they aren't.

I went to a Breast Cancer Network Australia Forum in a town about an hour from here some months ago. The girls from LGFB were there so I introduced myself. They were keen to get me to volunteer because they don't have  a lot who have had the Mx and can do the makeup too. I was only a month out from surgery so I didn't want to commit to anything too soon. I'd love to hear how you go and if your Daughter in Law volunteers.

There is another thread on here that talks about LGFB. The big cosmetic companies donate a lot of product, and it is given to the women who attend free of charge. It's a brilliant idea.

I am still in battle with the wardrobe. I am redoing all the shelves and racks. That has been my project for today as there was nothing else to do on a public holiday. I am so over it. I still have to do the wardrobe in the second bedroom which has all the Summer stuff, plus the piles for Ebay, and bags for the opp shop.

I just ate my last piece of fudge, so I better get back into it. You can't see our big bed for clothes at the moment, and scarves, don't get me started on the scarves. I don't know where they all came from.

I can't believe how quiet it is without our Bobogirl!

I hope she's having a ball for her Birthday!

    Take care....M

Wren, I hear you about the hemming... I've shrunk to 5' 1/2" and even Petites are too darn long for me.  Congrats on your score!! My DH is the SAME way.. it's so annoying and so hard to get anything for him.

Moira, you are a hoarder it sounds like :)  Just put price tags on everything and open up your door!!

There's another thing I used to love, but nobody I know cares for it.. Trivial Pursuit!  Joe used to play to humor me, but he didn't care for it much.  He much more prefers card games, backgammon or cribbage.

I am not a huge fan of Godiva chocolates, I have to say.  My favorite chocolate is Perugina, it's like a choco hazelnut and has a shiny blue wrapper.  I'm also not big on lobster, caviar or champagne either.. I guess i have an unrefined palate or I am just a cheap date :) My absolute favorite thing in the world.. and I can eat it with a spoon from the container is Nutella.  I adore it!

Haha, I'm glad your windows are tinted and you aren't flashing your fanny to the tourists!!

I'm glad to hear the rites are paying off as you are now flexible as can be and can skate across floors on your yoga mat. Poor Dex, it sounds like he's trying to protect his mistress from any intruders or he just has a screw loose.. or both :)  Sweet Dex.

Ok.. I have to steel myself not to get sucked in on the Vitamix.. I am TERRIBLE about buying gadgets that just end up in the closet and that is one expesive gadget.. it's like the cost of a new sofa and I would get more use out of the sofa..  But boy does what Bobogirl described sound fantastic!  But I am NOT looking at it.  Almond dressing and Asian ginger sauces, Udon with squash (I love squash) & artichoke hearts? My stomach is growling it all sounds so good!

How on earth do you guys survive not eating dairy?  I'm not being sarcastic, I am truly interested.. so many things call for butter/margarine.. milk.. cream.. etc.  What replaces it that tastes good?  Soy products? What is a replacement for cheese? Honestly, I would die without cheese in my life.. I love cheese so much.

I'm still confused on the lesbian shoe thing... I didn't realize there was a shoe protocol for lesbians :)

Bobogirl, dying to know how your birthday turned out and if you got a bracelet!

    Hi ldesim!

I am not too good today. I have a frozen shoulder. I think it was caused by the final push to finish that darn wardrobe. So no Rites today, and I am sulking because I am restricted. I hate Rheumatoid, in fact, F Rheumatoid!

I can understand why you may think I am a hoarder, LOL but don't they keep everything? I love to clear out and give it away, but you are right there is still a lot here, the wardrobes are still bulging after the big clear out. How can that be? Colin says it's because I still get deliveries most days, hmm that may be it! LOL

Today I got two new bras, for the Foobmoire, they are from a brand called Marika, I think. They do sports wear and yoga wear. I saw these bras and they looked interesting because they have a racer back, but still have a three hook and eye closure at the back. They have pads in them that are removable too. They are more substantial than the Ahh Bra, and firmer. So I'll let you know how they feel soon.

When you next come to Australia, we can play Trivial Pursuit. I have all the sets. My last ex husband, was a music buff. Radio Announcer, TV Interviewer, Stand Up Comedian (another long story!) He and I were a great Trivial Team. He never missed a music question, and was pretty good at most of the other categories too. We won a lot!

Perugina, I have never heard of that, but it sounds very European. I love anything Hazelnut. When I was pushing Colin all over Rome, I found that the Italians make a fabulous Hazelnut Dairy Free IceCream. That kept me going all day!

I was a huge Dairy eater, but started to get Migraine and a strange sensation like I was falling backwards, when I was standing perfectly straight. I had lots of tests, and was told I was allergic to Milk products. From that day I stopped eating everything dairy. I never had the sensation again, and I rarely, if ever have a Migraine any more.  So for me it was easy to stop, but not so easy to find replacements back in those days. It is mainly soy products that replace the dairy, but there are other things now. I have no memory of what it tasted like.

You truly are a Hazelnut chocolate lover, Nuttella, I haven't tasted that in decades. A cheap date! LOL I don't drink any more, never was a big drinker, but I do love seafood.

Ha Ha, if you had seen that almighty skid, and fall, you'd have seen both the Aussie and the American fanny, airborne! I kid you not, it was a beauty. I can't believe I don't have a mark on me, well, I guess it was the fat on the thigh that saved me!

Don't tell Bobo, but I have been back to the sites looking for the bracelets again. I am trying to get the ones I want at the same time, so I can get them delivered together. We shall see.

I left this post for a while to go down to the town and get some prescriptions filled, and pick up fresh bread for lunch. It is just a sensational day. Sun is shining and there aren't too many people about. I sat for a minute to watch the Pelicans down at the straight. We have a ferrry that takes passengers and cars across to the Island, just a few minutes away. The Pelicans congregate there in the mornings because the fishermen come up the straight and feed them the leftovers.

There isn't any wind and the water is like glass. I will be spending the day at home, probably on the couch with a heatbag on my shoulder. Did I mention I hate Rheumatoid?

I am waiting to hear from Bobo about her Birthday too. I do hope it was a success. That biopsy must be soon. I wonder when that is.

Anyway....Take care, and we'll chat again soon! M

I see you have all been busy in my absence!  Well, I would hardly call it an absence, since I fired off a long post of everything I made in the Vitamix while I was at the farm.  Idesim, I promise you will not be disappointed if you get one.  It makes REAL ICECREAM.  You will never have to go out to pick it up AGAIN.  You will make your own, exactly the flavor you want, with fresh organic ingredients.  And it takes like sixty seconds.

I think you should get your MO a bracelet.  I never wear jewelry except wedding ring either and I have the bracelets!  You never know!

Yes, I got bracelets for my birthday!  I had the nicest birthday, with a very special card that was really the greatest present.  :)  I got the elephant (which helps children with brain issues) and an om.  And I have a package sitting right here on the desk from Zeeberry..seven swords!  But I'm not going to open until my darling's comes too.

And DLLP made me a photo album with our wedding photos in it.  Can you believe we never got them printed?  She had them printed, and mounted them with the little photo mounts, and the children drew around some of them... it was so nice.  This is the best birthday in a long time.  As I am sure many of you may imagine.  :)

Ariom, you crack me up going in to the op shop, and watching people purchase your things at such a great bargain!  And your jacket story!  It's too much!  You are like the Queen of your village!  People had better watch out for you, that's what I say.

I am so sorry about your shoulder.  F Rheumatoid!  Excellent suggestion about your area and the hot water bottle.  I have been having some area issues too, but I have been icing it, when I think of it.

I have DD on my own this week, plus working!  That's why not so many posts.  She is sitting here coloring right now, like an angel, as I write this.  Then later, I drop her to her best friends' house (her mother is a doctor and holistic healer) and go to a work meeting.  Then pick everybody up.  Then dinner.

Gramwe, I am waiting with breathless anticipation for the results of your LGFB meeting!  It looks kind of like 'lesbian gay bisexual,' and that's making me giggle a little bit.  Can't wait for a full description of your beauty!

Wren, excellent score on the pants.  I love that this is a little bit of a shop thread.

Oh!  And I should say, Ariom, I am very in need of bra advice.  Called my old shop in PHL -- they specialize in women with breast 'issues' -- and they send me out two of my regular ones.  I think they want me to send them back and forth so they can put a 'build' in one side.  But I haven't called them back yet.  The underwire is so uncomfortable.  I have been wearing a very thin cami, and then a running bra with no underwire on top.  This looks ridiculous when I am in clothes.  Plus, it is 90 degrees here.

Don't quite have time to deal with this.  No underwire is kind of an issue, also, for the non-affected side.  Waiting for your expert advice!  XX

I love the photo album gift, that is so thoughtful!! Those are my favorite type of gifts.  I'm glad you had a good birthday!!

It's a date Moira, we'll play Trivial Pursuit and eat Tim Tams and then go to all the yard sales and flea markets, I would be in heaven!

If I had seen the tumble you took, I would have been on the floor beside you laughing my behind off.. I always laugh when people fall.. I know it sounds mean but I cannot help it.

F Rheumatoid!  I hope you are feeling better really soon and can get back to your rites.. when this happens does it last very long?  If you're saying you don't feel well, then I know that it is really bad as you are not exactly the complaining type.

When was Granwe's OG going in for surgery? I don't exactly remember.. the 13th? I know our Bobo goes in the 20th for her biopsy.... F surgical procedures.

The fatigue has hit me now and the radiated skin is a bit itchy, red and sore. It doesn't help that we've had two rainy, cool days.   This morning I just wanted more than anything to lay on the couch with a good book.  Tomorrow is #20, 2/3rds of the way through!!  I see the RO tomorrow and hopefully she can give me something besides the Aquaphor as that doesn't help with the itch.
