Malignant narcissist! Excellent description. Accurate for me. I hate housework also.
About to teach, but popping in to say Birdie! Option 3! I have two friends with fiv +/- household. No problem after many years.
Obviously I hate housework too. Jealous of those who do not have two eight-year-olds where housework is concerned. They are completely messy at all times. And, right now, developmentally defiant. *sigh.*
I really do not know how I am managing, here in the second week of two jobs (again), two weeks out of sx. I am functioning on a lick and a promise at the moment, honestly. XXXXXX

Went out to my car this morning...some little creeps (I imagine young boys) had gone through my car!! It took me a second to comprehend what had happened... all the console stuff lying on the passenger seat. I think there was a whopping $1 and change in the console plus my mag-flashlight and sunglasses. I wasn't upset until I realized my sunglasses were gone. The selection of sunglasses will be limited since summer is nearly over. Shitheads. Lesson learned though... need to remember to lock my car every night. Plus, I can't seem to get it out of my head - there's that feeling of violation that someone went through and touched all my things. They apparently didn't like the polka dotted umbrella though - they left it on the front seat. The one bright spot is that my car has that automatic feature of turning off lights etc if accidentally left on. My battery would have been dead without that feature because they left the passenger door slightly open.
I'm at work, but will be going home at noon...and then off until Tuesday! I can't wait to go home and clean!!! hahahaha just kidding of course.

Ih Zills!!! Move over!! That's me too.
Have you ever checked out the Warm and Fuzzy thread? Good place to post that.

PRB: crap on a chapstick!! That sucks having punks in your car! And stealing your sunglasses,,, GRRRRR!I'm distressed that your selection will be limited since "summer is almost over". I live in FL and I do not really understand that statement. We have sunglasses all the time! Shall I send you a pair? At least umbrella survived and so did car battery.
and nice LONG weekend! You can get lots of cleaning done! *smirk*

yes I love that thread. And I copied it from there. Managed to get stuff done while home with BG. She's two. Will be home again tomorrow. Her fever is 103.6 right now. One dose of amoxicillin down.

My mother wasn't awful, but very critical. I actually changed vets when one came across like Mom. I would feel very defensive and decided I was through with that.
They still have some sunglasses in the stores here, so replace them right away. I keep a pair in my car also.
0 -
Oh my goodness, Zills,,, I hope BG gets better quickly. That's a high fever.0 -
Mission accomplished. I bought 2 pairs of sunglasses this time! They still had a good selection...much to my surprise. Finally home relaxing after taking DD to hang with one of her friends in their new school. Her friend's dad is a teacher there and he's preparing his room, so the girls will be tracking down their classrooms etc. It's a big ass school. I'm glad she'll be able to spend some casual time figuring out where stuff is... plus a lot of the teachers are there so she might get to meet some of them.
Zills - sorry about the BG. My daughter ran high fevers when she was little. Scary shit and I hated it. I always felt so helpless and not sure what to do ...except take her temperature like a mad woman every 15 minutes! I know that fevers are good for us..but it's still worrisome. Highest for her was 104.9 My doctor just had me do alternate dosing with Tylenol and Advil. I had never heard of that, but it worked.
Glennie - about the sunglasses... yes it's Michigan and we only have summer for what seems like 2 weeks! Places like Target and such have a lot of sunglasses at the start of the season, but the supply usually dwindles as the season goes on. Sunglasses in January is slim-pickins! I am envious of your year round sunshine and heat. Everyone here is already talking about the upcoming winter... predictions are not good. Oh, and thank you for offering to send me a pair.. very sweet of you.
DD just called... wants to sleep over at her friends house. Why oh why can't these girls get that stuff straightened out before hand? I really think I am watching their brains turn to mush...damn hormones. Maybe I need to slip her some Arimidex? hah
edited to say hang WITH one of her friends... not hang one of her friends!

PRB: yes, year around sunshine and mostly heat. I lived in NY for 5 years and couldn't stand the cold. Had to come home. We do have the occasional hurricane, but now that I live inland, not so much of a worry for me. It's just funny when the stores do the seasonal clothes,, like bringing out the fall line now,,, when we still have temps in the 90's and will have for weeks. Sure, I want to buy a new sweater now,,, right,,,,Glad you got sunglasses!!

Glennie. Ever try to find shorts in Jan? It's FLORIDA!!!!we live in them year round. I get sooooo peeved about that! I'm really not too interested in heavy wool coats, snow boots etc. maybe hat and gloves. Give me shorts and tees year round.
Rant over. Grrrrrr

I know what you mean, Spookie,,, NOW is the time to buy them, cuz they are on sale to make way for the winter stuff,,, which we would need until Jan,, if we are lucky.0 -
Hey Ya'll~~~wow this new computer is way cool and I do prefer it to the ipad. can do more and easier to type. spent last 2 days getting it up and running so I can do my projects. my other computer sat unused cuz it was way to slow (4 hours just to get the thing started.) whew, finally one that works.
zills thank you for the address, will be sending card to DP. What a wonderful idea. You gals are truly the very best!!!
ok the cat tree was...............................ewwwwwww. love my dogs.
PRP don't stop writing your books! your posts are good to read and I enjoy them.
Ariom Morning!!!! :-D that is so cool you are up when I am ready to go to bed. I have been shopping again for bras on metromedical. it is so hot here in Alabama that I need more than 2 bras so I ordered some more. pretty well set now with the foob thing. whew you say finally!!!!! but keep me posted on good deals. I got some lovely swimsuits here at the end of the season that I am really happy with. and now when travel I only have to pack the foob I am wearing instead of packing extra foobs cuz I wear my swim one. yay!!! works out well.
Glennie ~~~menopause is not that bad. I look at really old (90) years old and say to myself if you did it so can I !!!!!!!!! You will be fine and we are here to help you.
well going to work next 2 days 12 hour shifts so you might not see me until the weekend. Have blessed days and I will chat later.

Ya know Glennie, the folks who live Up North just really don't understand us. But for the 2 weeks in Jan when were freezing, we get no sympathy.

Hi girls, just a quick stop yo see what you're all up to, I have just run in to grab some lunch and then back out again.
The painters were power washing on the roof and accidentally stood on one of the glass panels in the roof of the out door eating area. It took us months to get these panels replaced when w first moved here. I hope it doesn't happen again, now the power has gone out on one side and the electric gates don't work. This isn't turning out to be a good day!! Catch you later...M x

True, and it can get really cold here in Gainesville. We will hit the upper 20's in Jan. Brrrrrrrrr.O2: glad you are liking your new computer. Now,, where are those dog piccies we were promised??? 12 hour shifts,, yuck!!
Grandma made it to 88. I'm aiming for that number. She was a tough old broad. And the only one of her 4 siblings who didn't have any type of cancer. Can't figure that out. She had 2 sisters with BC, one with ovarian and her brother had leukemia.
0 -
Spookie - you will get ZERO sympathy from me! lol Zero I tell ya! I seem to remember we were like -40 below last winter. Your "I'm freezing at 20 degrees" just doesn't cut it.
M - Glass panels over the outdoor eating area? Electric gates? You have the life girl! We are all moving over there, I swear.
0 -
M, I don't go to Melbourne much these days, but I certainly would to meet up with you! xx0 -
PRB if I said I've seen snow here twice, could I have just a shoulder? Snif snif
0 -
Hi Dawny, I would love to meet up sometime!
PRB, you make me laugh, it's just a refurbished 80's house. The original owners who built it, spared no expense and had pretty good taste, so we have just improved on a house that had "great bones" to begin with. It is in a great spot and is our "forever home", since we both stopped working full time. We only moved here 2 years ago.
I am so sorry to hear about you having your car broken in to. I know that awful feeling of violation. When I was first married we lived in a little 2 story cottage in Sydney, it was nearly Christmas and my Husband then, worked at the Sydney Opera House, you know the one with the weird roof, that looks like sails? Anyway, he had worked late so we were sleeping in, he had a strange dream that there was someone in our bedroom. When we woke up, we discovered his watch was missing, from beside the bed and when we went downstairs all our presents were gone from beneath the Christmas tree. We think he may have stirred and actually saw someone, in our room, the hide of that jerk, coming upstairs and stealing from us, while we slept! It took me ages to get over that awful feeling.
Today, it turned out that the painter had squirted water in through a crack in the timber and got the wiring wet, so everything has dried out now and the power is back again.
Glennie, 88 is a cool number, both my parents died at 78, both, about 5 months before their 79th, so that's a little creepy.
02, great having a new computer!
I went back to order more from the Metromedical sale and got an email today to say they had sold out of a couple of the bras I ordered, but I got 2 more Amoena Valletta T shirts which I love. I will let you know if I hear of any more good sales. I think it is great that you are comfortable in your swim form. One of the ladies in my BC group loves hers too and wears it all the time.
I envy you Spookiesmom, I wish I could wear shorts all year!
Hey Bobo, I don't know how you do this 2 job thing after surgery either. How are you doing, really?
Zills, I hope the fever has improved! M x
Sorry to the others I have missed, I am just so tired, I have to go to bed...I will catch up tomorrow. M x

Fever is down but whinging in full force. Boy had a bad attitude last night.
Video shoot tonight. Instructions received yesterday. Only one speaks. No stripes or plaids.

Spookie: after the last winter, I don't think anyone in Michigan will be very sympathetic to us. We Floridians will have to console each other.M: glad you have power back! Wet wires are bad news! And it is a little creepy that both parents died at the same age. I hope ONE DAY, I will get to Aus and get to visit you and your house with great bones!! One of my friends says I should make a big trip when I hit 60, so I have until 2019 to save up.
Zills: glad fever is down,,, bummer on the whinging,,, and only one speaks?? WTC??? What's up with Boy?

Hi Everyone,
Got home from MRI a little bit ago. My MO ordered it because I have had a headache for three weeks. I was feeling a bit better until all that racket! I am sure all is fine. Probably due to stress, stress, and more stress!
Zills-I hope BG is feeling better and her fever has subsided. When my kids started whining I knew they were on the mend. Not too much fun for you. What's up with the boy? Could the attitude be due to the new school year and all the changes?
PRB-I too enjoy reading your posts. So DD is in the 7th grade? God bless you! Smart move not letting her cut her hair. She wouldn't have been happy once she returned to school! My girls always wanted to cut their hair when they were PMSing...then miserable afterwards. Sorry about the car break in. Glad you could get some sun glasses. I lived in a resort town (still own the house) so sun glasses as well as all summer items are always available! Some close down for the winter, but you can always find what you need at the surf shops. For some reason people think VA Beach is like Florida-it's not. Being a northeast transplant, I miss my snowy winters and would love to have four separate seasons instead of summer, post summer, and pre-summer! After 30+ years you would think that 75 degrees on Christmas Day wouldn't surprise me, but it still does. Then again we have had out best freeze the day after Christmas! The saying here is, "If you don't like the weather wait 5 minutes and it will change." So true
Spookie and Glennie- I doubt anyone would give you a shoulder over winter! Hurricane season is another matter! You all get major hugs for that! We don't seem to get them that badly here. NC jets out and bears the brunt! We have hurricane parties and grill all the food from the freezer while drinking various libations instead!
M-glad the work is, dare I say, winding down! The way you describe your place makes me think of a lovely cottage by the sea. I know you want to get things done, but please be careful of your RA! A flare would certainly put a wrench in your activities. I would love to be as active as you, however there isn't much in this little town. I moved here 6 years ago to be an administrator. I miss living in Va Beach and am saddened that I have to sell my house now that I am no longer working. Even though we didn't live on the beach, it was only 5 minutes away and I miss it so much!
Hey Bobo-I just want to know how you do it? Two 8 year olds and other jobs to boot? You amaze me girl! I wish you could pass that energy along!
Dawny- I would love to visit with M and you in Austrailia! Oh hell, I would love to visit with everyone here! We had put a visit down under on our bucket list and given the right circumstances I will!
Wren-I too walk away from people who remind me of my mother (also people who remind me of nuns)! My mother had "issues", probably bipolar, during a time when those things were not recognized. She was the sweetest person in the world after she was medicated before she died. That glimpse of who she could have been has made me miss her so much!
Congrats on the new computer O2! I hope it is everything you wanted. Waiting for puppy photos.....
Okay ladies, sign me up for the I hate housework club. When my kids were young my house was spotless-I swear you could eat off my kitchen floor without a plate! I have since adjusted my priorities and now my friends are very educated-they can all write their names on my furniture! Lol. DH and DD do nothing so I no longer worry about it. I don't even cook regularly! DH "fetches" dinner and DD makes for herself-only herself. Since we are all adults, excuse me, over 21...it's no longer my problem! I gained 50 lbs eating take out food since my dx and need to start shedding those pounds!
Well, my "novela" is finished for today. I will post now. Hope everyone has a good one! S

See Spookie? Glennie gets it But since you asked so nicely, I might offer a shoulder for a brief period! No tears though, and kleenex
will not be offered. That story about someone breaking into your house M is creepy. Reminds me of a story my mom told that happened when she was a kid. They had come home from some event and it was dark. They walked into the house, and before they turned the lights on, they could see the image of a man on their stairway landing..and he was backing up the stairs. Her mom yelled for the kids to go back out the door. She said they thought they knew who the man was because they had a dog who barked at everyone except the postman ... and he never barked once. Funny how stuff like that stays with you. I haven't thought about that in many many years.
M - I loved that house description with 'great
bones'. You just keep floating around with your magic dust and long
gowns and we'll all keep dreaming of watching the pelicans from your
outdoor glassed eating area...that is if you will let us through the
electric gates! We may have to paint the QVC logo on the side of our bus to gain entry. We know you can't resist a good sale.Side note - I have a bees nest within/under ? the frame of my side door. The door we use all the time. They always come out to check us out, but don't seem aggressive. However, things have really picked up lately.. lots of them flying around. I need to check into what to do.. get them moved (if a beekeeper will come) or exterminate them (would prefer not, but something has to be done). Always something!
Scg - Nice to see you. I've been wondering where you've been. Hoping good results from that MRI. F*ing cancer stresses us out to no end and then makes us question every pain...which causes more stress.
O2 - congrats on the new computer. Isn't it funny what we put up with and then when we finally replace an old appliance or whatever, it's such a great thing! I always think.. why did I wait so long?
0 -
PRB: bees are not always aggressive,, not like wasps! ( i hate those) Hopefully you can find a beekeeper to help you out. I would be nervous with them right by the door too.
Just a general whine. I feel like I shouldn't whine cuz others have bigger problems. But I'm anxious almost to the point of tears and I just need to unload. My biopsy is next week. (will it be "something" or not?) My HX is Sept 29th. and I have some legal issues which I'm not allowed to talk about but give me a great deal of stress. **sigh** All I want to do is bury myself in a book,,, or just mindlessly google things on the internet. Thanks for the listen. Brie cheese will be nice to go with my whine! LOL!! Now will force myself to go to the gym.

PRB, So many bees are dying that I'm sure a bee keeper will be happy to take them. We have one here who advertises in the paper.
Glennie, in the bag for you tomorrow.
Spookiesmom, We lived in Houston (tropical humid climate). Twice it snowed and office people built snowmen on the parking strip. DH grew up in Alaska, so he knows how to drive in the snow thank goodness.
0 -
Glennie, I am "in the bag" with you for your biopsy! We are biopsy friends, remember? Mine is next day. Except I'm getting through it by telling myself I am going to tell the GYN that I am not having one.
So enjoying the narrative of our little thread -- M, so sorry about your house woes! -- and you are all sweet to say I have energy, but it is 6:30 p.m. and I feel like I need to put myself to bed. Worked through weekend and I am just out of gas. Baby in bath at the moment (giant baby).
Z, I am not texting you today for fear I will wake you (or baby, should one of you be napping). You're shooting? Can't wait to hear what happens.
MD had her large-person hernia sx today. Have had texts from aunts all day with details. *sigh*. Could use some advice from you regarding the tone I should be taking with her here, since I can barely imagine talking to her. I am trying to 'honor thy mother and father' and leave it at that.
0 -
texting is awesome:"mom,, hope all went well".
"Mom, hope you are feeling ok."
something like that???
then turn off phone. go to bed.
0 -
Yeah, probably not a good idea to say you forgot she was having surgery.
0 -
Tonight's vegan Shake is raspberry banana with flaxseed. Even better than the strawberry banana. Excellent.Ava got some pieces of banana and raspberry. I am not neglecting her no matter what she tells you.

Bobo
Oh you had a surgery today?
Then turn off phone, sleep is good.
