I apologize for getting orange paint on everyone in the bag. Boy had to paint his gourd orange so it would look like Dusty the crop duster from Disney. Didn't win any prizes (again). Don't think he even knows about them.

No pole dancing. It's thriller season. Maybe I can sneak out some pink gowns and get a group of us bc sisters zombies. There's 12 beats where you do your own thing. Can you do a mastecomy in 12 counts?

Bobo I had an eyebrow kit that was wax and powder. Miracle cosmetic. If we didn't love you for your boobs, do you really think we'd love you for your eyebrows? But yes it's miserable growing them in.

Have to sleep now so I can be the happy school secretary tomorrow. It's been a packed week and I'm feeling it.

    Hope Colin feels better fast.

    5'2 and 3/4 on a good day.

Count me in for a Canadian walk on the wild side and canning tomatoes.

Just got in, my friend not there. Ran into some women in the boutique, who had been to the dinner I went to the other night, they were trying on clothes and complaining about their boobs being too big, too saggy, too soft, one was contemplating surgery! The shop owner, who I know, looked embarrassed for me, so I had to make light and say "Hey, I only have 1, but I don't miss the other one! Get over it girls!" lol Then they couldn't stop apologizing, it really was kind of funny!

That's funny Zills, I actually read somewhere, that in the 1800's they could perform a Mastectomy in 2 minutes and no anesthesia!  Ouch!

I use the powder and Wax eyebrow cosmetic too. Bobbi Brown has one I like the Smashbox Taupe, very hard to find, but for me, the best, but most companies have them, because there are so many eyebrow accidents.

Depending on how bad it is, an eyebrow pencil with a spoolie brush to blend, works well.

I think there has to be a video made of the Thriller dance and you can post the link for us to see it! M x

Got Colin his drugs, he's going to work a few more hours and then he'll go to bed.

My eyebrows are so fair that they are almost non existent.  Sometimes at the hairdresser, I get them tinted.  My DD doesn't like it though, she says I look evil with darker eyebrows!

Sorry about your friend M, glad you prompted him to double check about the health insurance getting him in earlier.  That sucks doesn't it.  Hope Colin starts to feel better.

5ft 5 1/2 inches for me (notice i included the extra 1/2 inch)

M, Hope Colin is soon on the mend.

5'2" here. I used to be 5'4", but I'm shrinking in length (unfortunately not in width).

Goldie and Squeakers were both on the king size bed in opposite corners getting petted this morning. No hissing, so there's hope.

Maybe I'll get a chance to look at our Ms articles while filling in for school secretary. Filled in Tuesday afternoon. Answered one phone call (fax) and had three deliveries that could have been left on porch. Have packed my checkbook, my coupons. Have a list of items to order.  Hope I don't fall asleep!

BG and I have the canard cough? That lingering cough. She's on antibiotics. Mine didn't get that bad.

Off to shower, make lunches, rouse sleeping children, feed breakfast, get dressed and get to school on time!

M:  If you want to read about the history of breast cancer and ALL the types of operations (gorey alert here) they used to do, I would suggest you read Bathsheba's Breast by James Olsen.  See if your library has it or can borrow it from another library.  It was a fascinating read.  The operations,, OMG,,,  you have been warned.

Dawny:  glad to hear that DD is doing better!

Wren:  YAY for the kitties gettng along!

Z:  hate that lingering cough.  Sucks! Drink lots of water. Cough suppressant, perhaps??

Hi to everyone else,, back later.

I will take a look at that one Glennie. I find it all very interesting.

You never stop Zills, I hope BG  and you feel better. You crack me up, the Cunard cough, named after the Cruise line, but you may have run into one of those constant cruisers and caught it from them! LOL

I have been in heaven tonight. I have been sniffing that baby for the past 2 hours. They came home from the Hospital after lunch and brought her here at 8pm, so I have been sniffing and cuddling her when she was only about 20 hours old...too good!

Colin is feeling better after just 2 doses of new antibiotic, hopefully he will be even better tomorrow, thanks for asking!

    Off to bed now...M x

Daughter has the cough too, and it seems to be moving into her lungs.   I never can tell the difference between a junky cough and bronchitis.  Might be time for a doctor's appt.  She had a lot of this stuff when she was young....hated it then, and I hate it now.

M - not sure if I replied (you know I reply but don't post many times)... nice articles and pictures.  I may have to buy one of those camisoles.  A tad pricey, but very worth it if they work.  I constantly have to pull my tank tops and shirts from the back to 'lift' them in front (if that makes sense).  There should be a name for that move.  Maybe I'm the only one?   I still wear a lot of my old clothes.. just less frequently.  All my new tops are either button fronts or higher necklines.  No V-necks for me, but that's ok, I never looked good in them anyways.  I think I have a short neck... but that's better than no eyebrows!   haha  couldn't resist.  Sorry Bobo.

Geesh.. you freaks looking at surgeries.  Creeps me out I tell ya.   No thank you...that kind of stuff makes my stomach hurt.

Hope JSL is doing ok today with her chemo.  I keep waiting to see the CNN headline about woman does pole dance at the hospital.

Glad Dawyn's daughter and M's Colin are on the mend.  Zills - not sure how you do it.  Sick kids, volunteering at school, etc.  I'd probably be sleeping at the desk too.  Being sick sucks.  I'm a hand sanitizer gal.  People at work make fun of me, yet they get bad colds every year.  I told my friend (who gets sick at least twice a year).. yeah, I don't get colds, I only get cancer.  She laughed, but I felt bad for opening my big mouth cause I could tell it made her uncomfortable.

    5' 7"  and shrinking.

I'm back.. We had lovely services today and then I had lunch at the Rabbi's house.  M: you would have been thrilled, there were 8 month old twins at lunch! Boy and girl:  Max and Sadie.  Too cute for words!!

Glad Colin is better.  PRB:  sorry DD is sick. I am well familiar with bronchitis.  SUCKS!

There aren't any gory pictures in the book. I personally don't like looking at those. The descriptions (words only) are BAD ENOUGH!!  Quite gruesome descriptions, really. Not for the faint of heart. One part of the book that particularly interested me was when it got to the 70's . Cancer was taboo to talk about prior to that decade, and then Shirley Temple Black, Betty Ford and Happy Rockefeller let it be known publicly that they had BC,, and suddenly people talked about it. I remember those years, so it was quite interesting to me to read about it in more detail.

Hi M!  It could be fine knit or thicker knit.  The important thing is the softness.  I must say I have been on the hunt for some time.  G, your potluck sounds fab.

Worried about our DP, as she has not been on the thread.  Will we have any way of knowing what's going on?  Worried.

OMG, I reply to myself.  Somehow I missed a whole page of posts and I just caught up!  Bird, so happy about the kitty update!  I can't wipe this smile off.  Love how everyone is posting her height.

So sorry about the coughing!  Terrible.  I am going to pass on that crazy book, I think.  Z, I totally know the drill of getting everyone off to school on time!  It's like a miracle that happens everyday.

Our princess had two baby teeth pulled today -- she had the second row! -- so I am fried.  Still have essays to grade.

Morning all! I have always been into the gory stuff. I love to watch the CI channel and as I have mentioned before, Iwatched a Mx surgery on You Tube, after my surgery to understand why all the weird sensations occur, I know now! lol

Ooooooh teins Glennie, sniffing in stereo, heaven!!!! Lunch at the Rabbi's house, how wonderful, I adore the ceremony of the Jewish faith. I imagine this was a lovely one. It is your New Year, am I right?

Colin is feeling better this morning and he slept well, till we were all woken, Dex included, by what must have been a very large bird, hitting the bedroom window, at 6am.

PRB, are you still doing that? Writing posts and not posting them? I wish you'd send them, you are always interesting!

I hope your daughter's cough doesn't progress to Bronchitis. I am with you! I am the hand sanitizer Queen around here too. I have bottles of it everywhere, including a large pump one in my car. I absolutely attribute my wellness to Olive Leaf extract and Hand sanitizer. It was actually my anesthetist who suggested it, before my surgery when he told me not to get sick or my surgery would be put off till after the New Year. I was determined not to become ill and the habit has continued.

Also, PRB, I rarely pay full price for anything, check out Metromedical online for great deals. They have some colors of the Camisole at the moment, for $27.00. Ebay is good too, there are a number of sellers who have a lot of new Mx clothing at competitive prices.

If you buy the Valletta, make sure you adjust the straps so the front of the camisole is high and flat against your chest. The armholes are cut quite low, so you can bring the front up. I found I was constantly frustrated when I wore my normal tanks etc, always pulling at them, to lift the front higher. I got rid of them and bought tops that were tank shape, but more of a round neck and they work a treat when I am wearing an Mx bra under them. I have pretty much transitioned over, to all Mx tops and bras and I still wear normal shirts and jackets over them. I don't have any wardrobe malfunctions any more.

ndgirl, I received the items from the Amoena workout range last week and I love them all. The pants are too big, but since they were just $9.00, I will put them on Ebay. One of the tops comes with its own crop, sports bra with pockets, which is just fantastic and for $9.00 for them both, it was a real bargain.

Beautiful day here, can't believe it is Friday again. Next week is the beauty day at my BC group so must get into gear and finish organizing it. M x

Hi Bobo! DP has posted, she is ok!

I am looking for that top for you, but not finding anything with the thumb hole in that cotton fabric. I think you added that just to make the search so much harder and to test me! Grrr I may just buy one and take the scissors, to the cuff!!!!!!

Both you and Zills have always amazed me with all you get done every day with the children! M x

Hello all. M~ please give Colin mine and Sailman's best wishes for healing. On a side note..... M I am sorry for you having a "whiner" too. Men are such babies when they are sick. Now, since Glennie has rubbed his hair out of the way, pop him for me and tell him I said, "Suck it up, Buttercup. You know you get extra treatment when you are sick. Quit trying to milk a cat" And Bobo.... tut tut, creating extra work for our M....have you know shame? Is DLLP high maintenance when she is ill? I really hope not. ROFLMAO.

Chemo and Doc visit went well.My platelets are 127,000 which is at the low end of his ok. Other numbers were good. I asked him about my seroma swelling up again and his response was have you been vacuuming? Busted, but he said I could when I got cleared to go back to work. When I got down to Chemo, Sailman got me settled and we got it started really qick. Two benadryl and a Zantac followed by Dexamethisone in the IV. Once they started the hour of Taxol, we got down to Business. Pulled out the alcohol, Bobo got the other patients going and we all got up and pole danced. My Chemo Queens (nurses) got up and danced on their round desk. M explained to the ones not dancing about Amoena and Tibetan Rites.  It was quite the party until security was called. And then we just threw the popcorn the volunteers make at them. Well, ok that happened in my dreams, I slept through most of it and talked to a little lady on her second treatment for BC who was scared. The first one was really rough on her.  Sailman brought me home and put me to bed. I slept until a bit ago and now sitting hear drinking coffee and letting Sailman pamper me and treat me like the Diva Bitch i am lol.

Thinking of our Zills tonight, not sure why she is on  my mind, but she is and has been. I love you all and thanks for making chemo fun.. *snickering***

    Hello all:

Bobo: I know the feeling of missing a page of posts,, I seem to do it frequently.  How is the Princess?  Did she cope with the teeth-pulling ok?

M:  I couldn't help but think of you with these babies. You would have been thrilled. Max was pulling himself up on the chairs and holding on and trying to walk from chair to chair,, and then trying to touch the light socket! He smiled and showed his 4 teeth! Sadie is more thoughtful and comtemplative (her dad's description) but I did get her smiling. And Yes, it is our new year.  And large bird hitting the window?? Crash landing?  Was it ok?  or,,,,,

JSJ:   It was a fun chemo party. Count us all in the bag for next time! You are a diva bitch,, quit vacuuming. Get one of your minions to do it for you.

Z:  sorry about your friend. That sucks.

M~ I got to thinking about it later and hoped that Colin could hear the exaggerated laughter in my post with my comments to him. He is one of the bravest (and handsome) men I have met. **ego boost and suck up** lol. Baby snuggling is the best. I love the way they smell, well most of the time.

Ok, now for a novel..... I had to get a tablet and take notes when I realized I had missed a ton of posts as well. I hadn't seen PRB, Zills, some of Bobos, Wren and Dawney. I can't imagine.

    Anyways, here goes...

I am 5'6" (thanks to the rods, I gained over an inch).

ND~ I want to go on a hike to Canada and can tomatoes. Fellowship with all of you in one place would be amazing.

Zills~ I bet the Boys pumpkin was AWESOME!!!  I am so sorry for your friend. You sound so tired in your post and I worry about you. I missed the pink zombies post until now, but I think that would be a great thing to do for my Round 5 week 1 chemo the day before Halloween. I can find some teal scrubs and we will rock that chemo room. I bet my Chemo Queens would even dance with us. We can do Scooby Shots an get really roudy. I loved the Thriller album, it was really one of the few of his that I liked.

Glennie~ baby snuggles and dinner sounds lovely.

Dawney~ so good to see you and glad that DD is doing better.

Wren~ That cute update about Goldie and Squeakers just melts my heart. I love the updates.

PRB~ it was close for the CNN news report but we finally settled down. I hope DD's cough gets better. Have you tried a steam vapor bath? Hmm... know the move with the shirt, use it all the time.

Bobo~ I hope Princess is doing well. JB had the same double row of teeth. He had 8 baby "double teeth" pulled when he was 7 or 8.. they just never fell out. Needless to say he got a Mocha Java Chiller from Sonic and Chinese takeout for that one. He was such a trooper though and I bet your Princess was too. Now he is off at college making A's and B's in all of his classes. He called earlier and he made a 90 on his first English Paper. We were proud of that one. English is NOT his strong suit. He loves to read, and he loves history. But, grammer not so much. These kids these days are used to spell checker and auto correct and just don't know what we all used to go through standing at the chalk board parsing a sentence. UGH... I loved everything about English but that.

Sailman is asleep and it is 11:28 pm Texas time, and I can't sleep so I though I would get on here and try to see what I had missed. I think I am all caught up now, except one thing... M... who is DP? Is that your friend with lung cancer? I just can't recall what the initials mean and I have had horrid chemo brain the last few days. Oh well, I guess I will wrap up the novel now. Much love to you my sisters and I wish you all health and happiness. Know you are thought of and prayed for daily.

    Stacey aka JSJ

Hi Jsj, wow that was some catch up for you. I would love to keep the joke going and say that Colin was mortally wounded by your comments, but nothing could be further from the truth. He has a great sense of humor and had a good laugh at what you said, even telling me to tell you he still wasn't feeling very well, with a single tear from his eye and a sniff!  lol

DP is our beautiful "Delirium Pie", who is on the "Maybe a Dumb Flat Question" thread, she's been having a rough time of late and we were concerned that she hadn't posted at her usual time, but it turned out she had been working on her recipes for a Spam competition, which she won last year with her "Spam Philly Cheesesteak!"

I have been down at the Marina on our friends new boat, doing more baby sniffing. the baby was there and of course she was handed to me, because they all know what a sucker I am for a baby! She's gorgeous!

Hi Glennie, the bird must have survived, because I checked out the patio and there wasn't a body there. That is one thing I really have trouble doing, I don't like having to pick them up, but we do have quite a lot of them that don't survive. I think it is because the front of the house is all glass and they see the lake and the sky reflecting and they just think it'sopen space.

Bobo, hug the Princess for me for being a brave girl at the Dentist. Would you believe, Bec still has 2 baby, eye teeth. They have been filled and built up over the years and the 2nd teeth never emerged.. She has beautiful straight teeth, no one would know. I took her to an orthodontist when she was young and he wanted to do serious surgery on her mouth, I took her for a second opinion and that Dentist told us to wait and see. Here we are, 25 years later and they are still going strong.

JSJ, meant to say, WOW, that was some chemo party! a bit like the 70's, you know, if you remember the 70's, you weren't really there! lol

M~ yeah I am a bit hyped on drugs right now and feeling a bit feisty. Sail.an rubbed off on me today I guess 😊 I love that you are getting nice weather. Boats and babies two of my favorite things. I love the comfortable camaraderie on this thread. How we can give each other shit one minute and the next we are kicking ass and fighting whomever has hurt one of us. I need to try to lay down, but feeling a bit bloated and gassy tonight and my legs are already acting up. Sounds like the se's are beginning. Yay...

You're so right about this thread, what a great group of women. I always marvel at how a group who are so like minded managed to find each other across a site with hundreds of thousands of members and feel like we have known each other forever. Love it...M x

A tongue-lashing from JSJ!  **delicious**  I WILL spoil Colin, it is my right, and I like to make him unmanageable for M!  It's very fun for me!  **incorrigible**

JSJ, what a party!  Your sailman really made a 'lovely' time for you at chemo (lovely as possible...).  So sorry SEs are kicking in.  Hope you can give yourself a treat!

Z, sorry about your friend.  It's awful.  M, you are on a tear as usual, sniffing babies, getting loads of Amoena stuff, doing her ebay.  M, I already thought about cutting holes in the sleeve!  But the thing is, you need that extra long sleeve that only comes from designing it with thumb holes!

Oy.  I should be getting ready.  The weeks are long these days.  About two weeks to my next sx.  I was just feeling better from the last one.

Bec and eye teeth!  Sisters!  OMG, that was me. I was 16 and still had my baby eye teeth. The adult ones were impacted in the roof of my mouth,, in the middle of my mouth! I had the surgery **sob**  They exposed the teeth and with braces type devises, they pulled the teeth down and out to the side. According to my current dentist, they don't do that anymore as it is too much stress on the teeth and weakens them. When I was in my 20's, both teeth developed problems, one turned completely gray (was dead)  and I had extensive root canals to save them. The dentist told me at the time, that I could still lose them. The left one is still hanging on **knock on wood*  and I lost the right one almost 2 years ago. It just cracked in half at the root line and the root was pulled. Now I have an implant there.   **not really fond of dentists**

Glad the bird survived. I can imagine that they would fly into the glass. It happens in NYC too with the big glass windows on skyscrapers. What bird would expect a building up that high??

Stacey:  sorry that the chemo SE's are kicking in. The chemo Thriller party sounds like a great idea. I should be up to dancing by then!  **THRILLLLLLL ER****

    Hugs to Sailman and Colin

a big good morning to everyone else,, and I'll be back later.  Haircut this morning, and I got to finish getting my preop supplies.  ** bowel prep**     ****TRIPLE UGH***

I reply to myself.  M, I am drinking a coffee right now that is org all-natural lavender chocolate coffee!  It is not stinky flavored.  It is the natural-est hint of smell.  Oh, it is so delicious and smooth, not acidic.  It smells heavenly.  Normally I do not like flavored coffees.  I know you will understand this story!
