Spookiesmom! my point exactly! I told you all, they aren't the nicest of critters. Can't say I have ever seen one in this pose. I know they can swim, because I occasionally hear of the odd one swimming across from the island, but I am guessing this one didn't like being wet! lol

They eat nothing but a certain type of Eucalypt which keeps them in a state of euphoria from the Eucalypt Oil. They sleep most of the time, but are known to pee on you, from the trees and they have really big claws. When you see pictures of them being handled, that's in a zoo or reserve, I don't know of anyone who would try to pick one up. The most revolting thing about them, that isn't advertised is that the babies eat their Mothers poo, to get their stomach bacteria levels so as to be able to digest the leaves they eat, which is really gross to see.

Now don't get me started on the Kangaroos, those suckers can disembowel you with one strike! They use the big tail to steady themselves and use the powerful back legs with massive claws to tear. I bet that will give you nightmares!!!!!

Thank you phone tree lady Bobo, oh I don't like the news that our Glennie has pain. Hoping that is gone now and she is tucked up in bed at home. Pleased to hear there is someone there with her. Gentle hug Glennie, it's all over woohoo!

Good for you Bobo, making soup, is it Vitamix soup? M x

Just saw your posts on the previous page! Great news, that it is over! That gas is awful I remember it from having my tubes tied and other gyn stuff. Weird how it gets up onto your shoulders. As I recall, doesn't last too long. So pleased it is all over for you! Enjoy your time with your friends and take it easy.......M x

I reply to myself.  It is a very plain dal soup from my magic Hare Krishna cookbook.  But I did Vitamix a blenderful of the batch to make it creamier.  It has good protein for her healing. X

Yay glennie! Hope you have a restful night.

    02. In the bag for gb sx tomorrow

Had therapy, PT, Livestrong and thriller. Wake up and repeat tomorrow except sub PT for JS. This week is crazy!

Any suggestions for getting BG to stay in her bed and go to sleep? She's rotten!

I had another question but can't remember. Too tired and my chest is itching like crazy. Old wives tale is $$ if your hand itches.  What's an itchy missing boob?

Zills, what is with itchy boobs today? Mine is driving me batty!  I have no good advice on bg, our granddaughters still like to climb  in their parents bed, guess time will take care of it but feel your pain.We are in Bismarck at a motel as dh has a meeting tomorrow, did a lot of shopping done and feet are sore.

Wicked looking bear and I remember Ariom not liking them.

Zills, Wish I had good advice. We bought a king size bed so there was room for all of us.

went to bed at 9 and woke up at 5. Ate more quiche so I could take Motrin.  Shoulder seems better, maybe gas has resolved? Belly feels sore today but not bad.  Will let Motrin kick in then take shower.

Looking forward to soup!  Vitamix soup! Woot!

Thanks for all the well-wishes.   Must focus on hydration and walking today.  Probably too soon to poop.

Yay Glennie. Take it easy for the next few days; let your body heal.

nd: I love Bismarck!!! We took the kids to a restaurant with Alien theme throughout. It was so cool. And the food was really good! We drove 15 hours our first day from our holidays this summer just so we could eat there...but we didn't make it in time.

Glad to hear Glennie is on the road to recovery.  Take it easy and let your friends pamper you!   Yes, I'd say it's too soon to poop...but not to soon for stool softeners :)

O2 - thinking of you and hoping your surgery goes well.  Let us know when you can how it went.   Expecting good results since this is 'good results surgery week'.

My chest area doesn't itch, but occasionally I get a throb close to my sternum.  Was on the mx side a few weeks ago, now it's on the uni boob side.   It comes and goes, and I have no idea what causes it.

Hey guys.   I get a lot of Lands End magazines and never open them up...but one had fallen onto the floor and it opened up to a "pink thread project" insert.  I thought.. oh man, even Lands End is doing the pink thing ... but then I noticed   "75% of the proceeds goes to breastcancer.org".   Say what?  So, I went online to Lands End and this is what I found:

"Now through October 31, 2014, a little pink does a lot of good. Lands' End is introducing the Pink Thread Project, a charitable campaign created to help raise awareness for Breastcancer.org the leading online resource for breast health and breast cancer information and support.  By simply ordering and applying one of six pink thread icons on any Lands' End item that can be embroidered - from totes and towels to cardigans and shirts - a full 75 percent of the $6.00 embroidery application fee will be donated to Breastcancer.org. Supporters can take part in the Pink Thread Project initiative from September 19 through October 31, 2014. To learn more visit landsend.com/pinkthread."

So, it appears that this site will benefit from the pink campaign ... and that makes me happy because this site has been such a valuable resource to so many women.  Finally.. something good from the pink explosion.

    Just thought I'd share.

    I second the stool softener.

And the best thing about the pink thread project is that only one choice is a ribbon. There are a number of other choices that are actually attractive.

Ok Spookie.  I posted it on Pinktober Revolution.   I've had such negative feelings about all things pink.. it's kind of weird posting something good about it.   Strange that BCO doesn't have anything on their front page.

day 1 post-op:   Call from GYN office to check on me.   Then they called back at 3 to tell me that the pathology was negative! woot!

Dog returned from slumber party. Was good girl. Went to the door at 6am cuz she needed to pee (was probably missing her doggie door) and just stood there. Neighbor figured it out! Back home now. Other friend came and walked her at 1 and brought me a hamburger. Two ladies from my synagogue brought me chicken soup and some turkey and some honey cake. Friend came back just now and took her out again. Said she'd be back at 7:30am tomorrow.

Bobo is bringing me soup tomorrow!  **so excited**

Ava is quite excited to have all this company too.

No poop yet,, but I PASSED GAS!  Will have protein shake later with some flaxseed. That should do it.

O2:  hope your surgery is going well!!  We can compare scars later!!  ((hugs))

Glennie! I am so pleased to hear how well you're doing and a clear Path report is just fantastic! Great to hear you have such a good network of friends to call on you and help out with Ava.

Oh how I envy you the chicken soup, my Jewish gf's Mother used to make Chicken soup for me when I was sick, she called it my "Jewish Penicillin" I loved it and Matzo Balls, oh yum!

Keep feeling better, hugs M x

PRB, your turn now, I hope it all goes really well for you too, looking forward to hearing how you get on!

I am another one who hates the Pink stuff, you can imagine how much I like the name of my group, "The Pink Ladies" not!

I have to admit though, there are some people and organizations who really do some good. It is just a shame that they get swallowed up by the crapsters who jump on board to make a killing off the cause, with nothing going to research or anywhere, other than in their greedy pockets.

The general public really haven't got a clue about what it all means. Remember Gramwe's story about the Pink fountain and the gardener who said BC wasn't a big deal any more? I was a bit clueless too, really, till I did a lot of reading. The  "Awareness" crap really bugs me! I have found, whenever I have been in a group and the subject comes up, they are very misinformed, OMG,  especially about Mammography. When I was at that birthday dinner a couple of weeks ago, there was a young woman sitting opposite my friend, who was almost finished her chemo, completely bald and me. This girl had no idea why Sharon was bald and didn't know me either. She was rabbiting on to the woman next to her, who revealed she has also had a Mx for BC, a couple of years ago, about how she will never get BC, because she gets a mammo every year for her super dense breasts! WTF  She looked around, like a Deer in the headlights, at us, after we told her about us too, and she changed her tune somewhat, when the woman sitting next to her, set her straight. It's scary, really. Rant over!

If you haven't seen DP's posts and pics, the three generations, Grandmother Mother and DP all won, with DP getting first prize for her stuffed peppers at the fair. How great is that! M x

So proud of DP!  So happy about our G's path report!

I'm on my own tonight as DLLP is at a late work meeting.  Pasta sauce for us simmering on stove (creamy spicy sauce with green peas in it, rice pasta).  Kids bathed and throwing balloon back and forth to each other while in bed.  I sound like our Z!

Whew!  Exhausted from the day.  Really burning the candle at both ends with these two jobs.  Sx in two weeks.

M ???   Am I having surgery that I don't know about?   LOL   I think you meant O2.  I'm not sure but I think it was for a gallbladder.  Hope she gets on here and lets us know she's ok.

I had this shirt made at a local store.  Did post it on Pink Revolution.

While at Publix today, the deli had a sign on the case about Boars Head Meats will contribute to BC RESEARCH. I thought that was refreshing.

    Yea for path and farting!

Was really tired today. Took a nap but couldn't get my act together. Boy still hasn't noticed I didn't make dinner. BG had Cheerios. Wanted to go to Livestrong tonight. Now I'm awake/aware and it's too late.

Ahh Zills, take a night off, give the boy whatever he wants for dinner and put your feet up, you deserve it, there is always tomorrow for the exercise!

I asked Bec if she remembers how I got her to stay in her bed at night and she laughed and said, "the same way you make the dog stay in his basket till morning"  "You have a stern way of saying stuff and that stare you do, always works!" When she was young she called it my "pointy eye stare" and if I gave her that look she knew it was time to stop whatever it was, she was doing! lol

I would tell DD "I'm tired, you have to go to bed" She hated that, but now she says it to HER kids!
