I am first in line for bitch-slapping!!! I know all about being violently ill from gas! They should have put patch on night before surgery. And you are not telling me with all the anesthesia at their disposal they couldn't find a mix that doesn't cause nausea!!!
That makes me so mad!!! Poor Bobo!! It will get better, but it is sheer hell until then.
So sorry about the job. Why aren't people more compassionate and understanding about this sort of thing?? Do they think it was some little elective surgery? Assholes!!!

Oh for fucks sake, what the hell did she do to deserve this bunch of incompetents? I can't believe it and I am assuming the anesthetist Bobo wanted, wasn't available. How bloody hard is it, to attach a red bracelet to say she shouldn't have something and actually refrain from giving it if she's is sensitive to it. Isn't it done that way over there? It isn't friggin rocket science! I'm glad it wasn't something that would cause anaphylaxis!
Geeze that burns me up, Bobo, I am so sorry that you've had another shitful experience with that Diktor and his cronies. I hope it passes soon and you feel better. I am gobsmacked that you could lose a job over taking 2 already arranged days, for medical reasons. I have no clue what this world is coming to!

M, it's going to be a nice weekend by the sounds of it.. DS to tennis in the a.m., nice day to watch tennis, DH and DD sailing, then dinner at my SILs tomorrow night. DH is riding in " Around the bay in a day" on Sunday, proceeds to the Smith family. His workplace puts in a team, some of them aren't very experienced bike riders, but DH has to stay with them. He has white line fever, so finds it hard not to just race off! Lol. How about you? Is Colin sailing?
So mad about bobo, really want to punch someone in the face! Geez.

Hi Dawny, this isn't the first time Bobo has had a bad experience with this mob, it's ongoing. So bloody unfair.
I don't think Colin is sailing this weekend, it's a matter of getting a crew organized and I don't think he has done that. I am going into town to get the things I can't get at IGA down here and will probably potter in the garden a bit. It sounds like you'll be busy! Have a good one..M x

Is this Bobo's last surgery? I sure as hell hope so. I don't understand how this kind of thing keeps happening. That hospital sounds incompetent. Weren't there a ton of people sick with the flu last time she was there? Imagine what could of happened if they had been the hospital the Ebola patient had been too. *shudder*

Idesim - that is such a sweet story about your bird. I had a baby robin somehow land on the lowest step of my egress window well. It couldn't seem to muster up the energy to fly out. I called a friend of mine who does wildlife research (ie.. is not afraid of things like this - omg she got a rabies vaccine so she could catch bats for one project)..and she came over and put a towel over it and put it on solid ground. It flew right into my neighbors garage door! lol She went and picked it up again, only this time she put it in the front yard and it took off.
Glennie - Good luck on trying to stay awake. Years ago I worked midnights. I loved it..but Monday's, or going back to work after a vacation, was not fun!

Popped in to check on Bobo and I see they effed her up again. I have my bitch slapper ready. I must admit I did spit coffee when I read about the landing strip... A few weeks ago Sailman noticed that I had a Brazilian going on from the chemo... He was just like DLLP... dirty minds think alike? LOL.

I wasn't able to get chemo this week as my blood numbers were below the threshold. Thank God they gave me a transfusion last week, I can't imagine how low they would have been without it. He is going to test again Monday and hopefully round 4 will start on Tuesday. I had a total meltdown in the office yesterday, bawling like a girl and said I was just tired of being tired. He thinks maybe a break will be good for me mentally too. Then we will start the downhill slide with the last three chemos.
There is so much I want to comment on but, I have drug myself into work today to try and get a bit more on the paycheck. PRB, Andrea, Glennie, M, Dawny, Zills, ND, Wren, sending you all love and hoping you are doing well.

Hi guys. So kind of you to think of me. Vision still blurred. Do not feel very good. Do not know what I am going to do next time.
One more of these to go. I saw PS after sx and first thing he said was, I did not do your outer thighs. So there's plenty for the last one. He did the whole back of my ass and sides and it's hard to sit down.
Bleeding all over everything. The surgical resident fellow missed a stitch (again) and left a gaping hole (like last time). PS had to fix it himself. Really a lot of pain -- blocks wore off today. Kids went to parade with DLLP and got millions of treats! Headache.

Had to buy new hot water heater out side in storage locker attached to the house! Got fan blowing to dry up the mess. Guess the other one rusted all the way out.... Big mess. But new one is in and just trying to dry everything up. Lucky I didn't have a fire cuz the electrical cords were all wet.

O2, you are just the sweetest to bring soup in the bag! I must say, I thought this one would be easier because I would know what to expect. When I sit down to pee it's like, YOUCH! I am going to have to get one of those old-people puffy toilet seats.
Right now I feel like I have the flu. But I don't have the flu, that's just what it feels like. Drinking a shake right now -- no protein, we have to get more protein powder tomorrow. And DLLP is bringing me agedashi tofu and rice. Don't have appetite. But know how important protein is. I was interrupted every single second of the day today by various family members. DLLP Trader Joe tomorrow. I told her I wanted to go with her to make sure she got vegetables. I've got to 'get back on the horse' anyway -- I teach Wednesday!

Listen to you,, you go back WEDNESDAY!! Not even a week!!! I took off a leisurely almost 3 weeks.Blender mishap!! I must not have screwed the bottom on tightly enough, cuz suddenly as I'm starting to blend,, the juice is leaking out the bottom! Horrors!!!! Quickly blended and poured,, then mopped up. Whew! Hoping no long term damage to blender.

I love my vitamix. After heart surgery early 2013, solid food is rarely appealing. Vitamixer purees all fruits and veggies, and most of my mixes taste acceptable. I bought large canning jars at the grocery store and fat smoothie straws. I mix a batch and pour into a jar; the lids seal tight, I can sip thru the day.

Hello Mary, another Vitamix devotee! Do you make the great soups too? I make soup a couple of times a week and love that I can make it in 10 minutes from nothing, to steaming hot and I have found they actually taste better the next day! I love that I can do stealth health, with all kinds of stuff in there that Colin wouldn't normally eat.

M, the complications were because they gave gas -- and I always throw up with that. It's taking a while to get all that out of my system. I mean, good lord. Phenergan, Zofran, Scopamine patch, Dilaudid, Fentanyl... and then even more things. It's a wonder anyone survives.
Trying to strike a balance between staying down and being somewhat useful. Showering takes real effort. I am going to try to do an outing today.

Was running around today bringing plants in, etc.. we're supposed to be getting a frost tonight, I guess this means summer is over... I've kinda been in denial lol. As I was neatening up outside a bit, I noticed the hydrangea we planted this year, which didn't bloom all summer, had a tiny blue flower, about the size of a lime. Hmmm.. the fruit reference just made me think of Granwe.
Hiya PRB, love the Robin story.. but your friend is insane.. omg bats.. yuk. We get one during humid weather and it's so creepy watching it swoop around the yard. One of the attorneys in my office had one in his house.. he had thought he had chased it out the night earlier, but when he got home the next day, it was there again. He is going through the rabies vaccinations now because they say t could have bit him while he slept. Ewwwwwww!
