Happy Birthday Wren! I hope you had  a lovely day and that Squeakers is OK.

ldesim, I love hearing what's on the coffee table at your house! I have been bvusy, but scattered today. I have started and not finished about 6 different things.

I just did a post over on the other thread, so won't repeat here. I think everyone jumps between the 2 now.

Hugs and waving bingo legs and arms to everyone....M x

Happy birthday Wrenn!  Whats wrong with squeakers? Did I miss something?  Easy to do. What did you eat?

    Hi ldesim!

Got a new dog. Missed thriller. Foot hurt and it was late when we got home. Should have been checking in.

She's a big girl. Long toenails. Sweet. Doesn't try to get on furniture. Interested in trash, of course. Escaped from her collar this am. Loves the boy. Haven't seen the cats yet. BG warming up to her.

Checking in for a minute between feeding kids dessert and bed time.  Idesim, your coffee table dinner sounds so good, as usual.

So happy Z got a dog!  Looking forward to a lot of stories.

In the bag and writing a letter to Santa for JSJ.  Working through all of that sucks.  You are a warrior princess.

Hi M!  How is Dex?  And Bird, Happy Birthday!  How is Squeakers?  Worried about him.

The MD visit has left me really depleted.  She was really hard on me and negative.  I limped around -- my legs are black, I have trouble walking -- and she made me fetch ice for her water.  She was bottomless.  She slammed my parenting, present, past and future.  I have been completely wiped out since.  Tough week ahead, with two twelve-hour days, even though I'm a little over a week out.  Love to everyone. X

Crap on  a chapstick Bobo, let me at her! I want to give MD a few choice words, or as Bec would say "Go on Mum, make her cry!" which is reserved for people, who are really, really, exceptionally, bad or hurtful! I have mentioned the Glasgie Kiss before, which is also known as the Glasgow Handshake or simply a head butt to the forehead, a bit like a soccer header. She's spoiling for one of those. lol  How dare she!!!!!!!!

I am so sorry you are having to dive in at the deep end. of a 12 hour couple of days so soon after all this. I menat to ask, has MD lost any weight? How is your Dad doing?

Dex has his new friend here this morning. The couple who help with the garden who lost their lovely dog Nelson when he broke his leg here some months  ago and it was discovered he had cancer and had to be put to sleep, have now got a new Red Cattle dog pup named Fletcher. Dex is running all over, playing, but I fear another allergy flare up because they are running through the newly mown grass.

Wren, how did the Birthday end up? Is Squeakers OK?

Posted on the other thread too...M x

"Make her cry",,, I LIKE that, M!!  Get the bitch slapper ready, everyone. MD needs many slaps to the head.

Bobo: I'm sorry you have a rough week ahead.  This sucks. You are a bad ass warrior and I know you will get thru it, but it is STILL F*CKING HARD.   Ava offers to kiss all your boo-boos.

I'm exhausted. Hope to get some sleep tonight.

MD does need all of us bitch slapping HARD. How can she justify the air she breathes? Next time she criticizes your parenting, just tell her you're following her example.

I did finally get to the store and bought my birthday present: new T shirts. They're red and hot pink but I'll wait until Nov. to wear the pink. DH made a special dinner tonight (to make up for not being here last night).

We had a wind storm last night with power outages from trees falling across the lines. They had to close the floating bridge because waves break over it when it's that windy. Stayed closed a couple of hours, then it passed. Branches from our trees were whacking the house and Goldie decided the basement was safer than upstairs. I wondered if she knew better than me, but I'm addicted to my computer. I did close the curtains so I wouldn't be showered with glass if a branch broke the window. Squeakers thought the noise was annoying but he doesn't get scared. Rain is supposed to begin again tomorrow. I dug out my old waterproof sneakers which are uglier than sin. I swear they're the postal employee shoes. I'm still in the ankle brace which rules out most of my nice shoes.

Wren, happy belated birthday! Sure hope the weather improves!! My mom called yesterday and said the wind was horrific in southern Alberta, but that is fairly common there. Probably not the same system.

Most of my shoes are butt ugly, lol. Built for comfort, not style!!

Seems there is  wind causing havoc everywhere. We had such high winds today, I thought the trees in front of the house might come down, no damage, We managed to get the lawns mowed this morning, but storms most of the afternoon.

I wear flats nearly all the time these days, but spent most of my working life in high heels. I am paying for that now with foot issues, but I just can't do, the "sensible" shoe! LOL

Wren glad you got your present and a home cooked dinner, that you don't have to make is wonderful!

Wren:  YAY for new tee shirts and birthday dinner. I totally get waiting until Nov to wear the pink ones.   Goldie was probably smart to hide in the basement. I had a Lab who would get into the walk in shower and hide there whenever there was a big storm.

I mostly live in sandals and sneakers. When I dress up, I'm usually wearing clogs. LOL! Was never really into high heels, only once in a great while for really dressy events.

Went to bed at 9PM.  was so exhausted. Slept until 3am when first hot flash hit,, then they kept coming.  I read over on the Hot Flash forum that 3am to 6am seems to be a popular time for them.  Not exciting.  Will see what happens when I go back to work tonight.

Glennie, glad you got at least 6 hours of sleep, I really struggle to sleep, have for years and yes hot flashes dont help. I am wondering if they will ever quit???? I have been trying melatonin too, didnt work last night at all but felt like it did a few nights ago. I wish I could get six hours most nights.. geez I can feel washed out all day when sleep deprived.

Bobo, MD is really stirring a pot of bitch slaps... she is unbelievable! Stay strong. Hugs to you!

Wren, glad you had a nice birthday dinner, dont think I would want my dh to make me one.. he isnt much of a cook! Hope your weather improves... talke about wind. we have had days of it lately, today is heavy fog and no wind... feel like I am back in London! Do not like gray foggy days.. need the sun!

I'm lucky to have a DH who seriously considered becoming a chef. He just smells things and knows if they'll go together. He can go to a restaurant and tell everything that's in the dish. I'm the one with no kitchen talent.

My niece has the artist gene. She came to a family dinner with a sheer black shirt that had faint white windowpane pattern. Under it she had a black sequined cami. Those 2 items could be in my closet for a 100 years and I would never think of wearing them together. Actually, they wouldn't ever be in my closet, but if they were...

I take trazodone to help me sleep. It's a really old anti-depressent that doesn't work for depression, but does make you sleepy. The lowest dose helps me get to sleep and stay asleep.

I've used trazodone before,,, it makes me gain weight, which sucks. Last time I tried it, it didn't help me sleep either, so not sure about trying it again.

I hate gray days too. Makes me depressed.

nd, I loved hearing the story of your dog!  I am so sorry to hear of your friend's trouble, and M, your friend, too.  Fuck.  It's just terrible.

Glad G was able to sleep a little.  Sitting in bed with sore leg raised.  Children each have two strikes from the week -- strike three and they miss halloween party!  Also, this weekend is a Gator party opportunity.

Princess is Superbad!  She swung on closet rod, which caused a picture on the other side of the wall to smash!  She has been warned about that several times!  She is now in bed eating rice pudding (homemade) which has been hand-delivered to her by DLLP!  **that will teach her**

Oooh, Spookie!  Do not rub it in!  We know we are going to lose!  Ouch :)

Bird, I meant to tell you I thought all day about you and your shirts, and the pink one which you will not wear until November 1st!  You make me smile.  How is Squeakers?

ND, how is your friend?  M, your friend's dairy house sounds so beautiful, but I understand about his getting around after sx.  I know you will do all you can to organize things for him -- I know you can't be away from Colin for long.  Poor your friend!  I am sending him healing thoughts.

Working from bed, which is fantastic.  Hope I get a lot done, because I have a lot to do, but also hope I finish by one or something and have a rest before kids get home.  Plus have to make the dinners (child and adult).  I just cannot manage to make one dinner for everyone -- I don't like the kid food, as I have said.

I am so tired.  My PT therapist did not cry, which was excellent, but she said in 33 years, she has never seen anything so bad.  Nor has she seen anyone with as good an attitude as I have!  That was a shock.  I said, I don't feel like a good attitude.  She said, but you are making jokes and walking around!  I said, what is my choice?  I have two eight-year-olds!

Really scared about this last sx.  Scared he is angling for one more after this for his 'after' picture. I  do not want that and am communicating a lot about that.  But all he has to do is leave it terrible and unsightly for this next sx and then sit back and see what I will do next.  I am really worried about it and feel out of control.  I think about it all the time.  I am so trapped.  I am sorry to be so negative.  But you are the only people I can tell.  I just want it flat and regular and not gaping but I am not in control, and I can't switch PSs, he is the only one doing this besides the crazy main guy in Miami, and that guy is a total big boob maniac.  I should stop writing about this and try to calm down.

I'm sorry bobo. It is scary to not be in control like that. Maybe if you stop communicating about not wanting more sx so much, he will forget and not need his evil plan. Isn't it terrible that we have to think about things like that?  We should be able to trust our doctors. Hang in there. When is te next one?

Spookie is so precious all dressed up.

How's it going with sasafire z? Did you say how old she is? My memory stinks these days.

And now for some hurricane drama.  My brother is on vacation this week, and my sister-in-law took the opportunity to visit her family in Nicaragua while my brother is off to take care of my nephew who is autistic.  My nephew is extremely attached to his mom so separation is difficult.  My brother reported one meltdown yesterday, but he pulled out the map and the calendar to reassure my nephew of where Mommy is and when she will be home.  Now there is Tropical Storm Hanna!!  Hopefully this will not interfere with her plans to fly home tomorrow!!

    hey y'all

Bobo. I like really hate your mom right now.  Have you considered no contact?  I had to choose that because my MD became homicidal..... Seen her 1 time in past 16 years.   It was very hard at first but very wise .  I am alive and happy.  Have you heard of "death by a thousand cuts?"  That is what your MD is doing to you!  She CANNOT stop so you have to stop it by no contact.  :-(.

Glennie, glad to hear you got a little sleep.

    Loving the Spookie pic!

Also loved the Goldie/Squeakers pics as well..   Does Goldie have Coon cat in her?   How is Squeakers doing?

Ahh.. good ol MD.. some things will never change.. i understand why Bobo keeps in touch with her... she's a better woman than I, because I would cut MD right out of my life.. but I don't have kids either.

I'm a sneakers/flats kinda girl...I did wear heels at work a couple of times a week,, but it was def not my fav mode of transportation.   Since BC I haven't worn them at all and don't think I'd be able to anymore without severe pain.

I'm going to go check out this other thread that you all are posting to lol.
