I want to eat at Chez Wandaees. You are such a good Mom. You need to take your own advice and pace yourself. Hope you've recovered from the lawn mowing.

It's raining lightly here. I want to nap but kids slept in. No rest for the weary. Just means a steam bath later.

My sister should arrive around 4. Then off to the big city. One shopping center has Target, Old Navy, Walmart, Kohls, and two huge shoe stores. So I have options but can't go everywhere. Tanks, white shirt, maybe shoes and Yes To Carrots and lactaid ice cream on list. Chocolates and soups will be next week when I'm on that side of town

You're welcome to come along. Want something good to eat too. Had quiche yesterday and it sat good.

Hope GrammaB has recovered from her big trip to town in the rain.

Bobo. Do your kids wear a uniform? The boys shirts are already hard to get off:(

Stay cool everyone. We're supposed to have a cooler weather next week. Good night M.

Oh, that is an excellent update from Gramwe!  I love hearing about the birthday party.  I want to eat at Chez Wandee's!

No time to post now -- both children are staring at me -- but... Good on me!  I posted about Z's appt on the wrong thread!

    Here it is:

I'll be in the bag on Thursday. Please drink the beer before getting in. It just doesn't go with the chocolate cupcakes I'm bringing.

For all you folks roasting in hot weather: Our average low temperature for August will hit 60. That will break the all time record because it's so hot; the former record was 58. I can hear you hitting the floor as you lol.

I also want to eat at Gramwe's! wow you are amazing to get all that done, but guess we all would because we are moms! Agree with Z.. you better take your own advice, but I know I am not one that should be talking.. I go like crazy and then drop! never learn!

Zills, have fun shopping let us know the good bargains and fun stuff!

Wren. I will be right beside you on Z's appt day, because I love cupcakes, not so fond of beer, but a good glass of wine would be good, well not w/ cupcakes! so I am in the bag with you too.

Bobo, hot flashes.. I am the queen I think, it has been almost 10 years!! hate to say that but it is true and I still have them and just turned 65! but now the medicine I take also promotes them, but really dont think they have gotten that much worse with it! not sure if they will ever quit and of  course can never have one when it is -20 below here! oh well enough bitching for me.

have a great long weekend all!

Welcome memejane!  Hope you can find answers here to help you.  We are kind of rowdy sometimes but always here to help one another!

Ariom and Granwe, the white isn't scar, it is actually dead tissue along the edge of the scar.  Hard to explain.  Because the steri strips didn't come off earlier, the skin under them basically "died".  It looks like pus, but it isn't. There is no redness to my skin or warmth.  I am to gently exfoiliate it at each shower with a wash cloth while at the same time making sure the stitches underneath aren't pulled apart.  I don't have any feeling there so it is hard to tell if I am rubbing too hard, consequently I probably am doing it too softly.  With the holiday my regular nurse won't be back until Tuesday so I am kind of on my own.  I can deal for a few days, but of course would rather it heal up and be done with it!

I have so learned my lesson about doing too much!!  It was so busy with DS here and all the things to be done, plus the drives!  I never once really sat down to rest and now am paying for it.

I got up this morning, made breakfast, drove to PO, drug store, and got gas.  By the time I got home....exhausted.  So I plunked my self down in the recliner and am still here 2+ hours later!

Re the camis, my ins paid for almost all of the two Amoena camis I got.  The bill for my share came today and it was for about $15.  They were great for holding the drains and now that that is over, I find them just right to give a little compression when I feel the need.

I don't envy any of you the hot flashes!!  I had some doozies before my hysterectomy took care of them back in '95.  Oddly I still will have a random one once in a while, but nothing like what you guys are getting.  Not sure if mine are diabetes related as they started back around the time of that dx, last year.  There have been some discussions on the diabetes forum about that.

Oh, oh, oh, I want to eat at Chez Wandees too!!  What a great thing to do for DD! Not taking much of a shine to BD at this point, he had to know day was coming, couldn't he at least save up a little for a cake at least???

    Zills, enjoy the retail therapy!!

I'll be in the bag on Thursday.  I'll bring some red wine!  If the cupcakes are chocolate it will pair beautifully!! ;)

Before bc, if I started sweating like crazy, I was crashing. Now, Arimidex does cause hot flashes. So I'm on Effexor to stop or cut them down. I just keep my meter handy to stay off the floor. 36 is not fun.

Retail therapy cancelled. My aunt passed away. Now have to worry about another funeral. My grandmother might be there and she doesn't know about my cancer. I can't hide it because I have no hair and no boobs. May need to break out a wig and foobs as long as it's before Thursday.

She's 99 and has dementia. My aunt was like the daughter she never had. I don't want to upset her.

OMG! What a lot has gone on overnight!

I had a very early night last night, I paid for my mammo day out! Take heed everyone, I would have thought I was so over it all, and completely back to normal, but I still hit the wall after a big day.

I would love to eat at Chez Wandaees too. You're amazing gramwe, considering everything, I don't know how you do it, but you're my Hero!

I am very tempted to give that irresposible partner a good slap on the back of the head, how F lucky is he to have you! He is a constant disappointment. I am so glad our girl was surprised and had a wonderful Birthday...WoooHoo to you for pulling it all off in time. She's all that matters here, and she'll never know that it wasn't planned that way. You're a sensational Mom! M x

Meant to say, I am so sorry you had a limp and the claw gramwe, I am conjuring up a picture of Quasimodo doing miracles in the kitchen! :) M xx

ndgirl,Wren, Zills, gB and bobo, Spookiesmom, are you up for it too?  Would absolutely love to catch up with alll of you at gramwe's! ldesim will be there too. What a hoot that would be!

Oh Zills, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I hope you can get the foobs and wig together for the Funeral. I understand your concerns, my Mother had Dementia, and we have Colin's Mum here in a nursing home down the road, and she has it too. It is a truly brutal disease.

ndgirl, ten years of flashes, omg, I can't imagine it. Spookiesmom, you've got it bad too! Poor Bobo is counting the years now!

gB, I understand about the dead skin. I had it too, and an infection that opened a section of the wound up. The exfoliation will get rid of it. The stitches are very strong, I wouldn't worry about them. I was fairly firm with my exfoliation. The stitches are all internal? I didn't have any external stitches, and when they removed the clear stick on stuff that went the length of the incision, it pulled the steri strips off with it. I found the sun was the best thing for drying it all out and healing the skin.

So pleased you got the Amoena camis, and you are happy with them. We don't get anything subsidised except the prosthesis, once every two years.

I think we all had to overdo it to find the point of hitting the wall. None of us are sit in the recliner and do nothing kinda gals. It's just that when you find the end point, you try not to do it too often! LOL

As I said, I would have thought I would be fighting fit by now, but I still need to be a bit careful. I don't know how our Bobo is doing all she's doing, and surviving on little sustenance. We all need to be careful.

ndgirl, I keep meaning to ask you, what the Contact you have now is called, or its style number. Mine is "381 Contact 2S". I want to get some info on the newer one that you have. We don't have anything other than the one I have, here.

I have done the Rites and gotten myself ready, now a walk with Dex, but I have to take a big stick with me because the birds are nesting and some swoop you. They scare the daylights out of me, but I am too vain to wear a helmet with eyes painted on the top, puleeeeese! People here seriously do that. I am not ready for that kind of fashion faux pas just yet! LOL

Sleep tight all and I'll catch you later...M x

Zills, so sorry about your aunt! geez another funeral to deal with, but I know you will decide what is best to do, sounds like you have it under control. We will be all thinking and sending good positive thoughts your way.

Ariom, the contact form is ABC style 10475, massage form attach. they are made in the USA which I also like, pretty hard to find anything made in AMerica anymore. says to just wash with soap that is skin friendly but not with any lotion in it, rinse and put in holder adhesive side up to dry. That is what I have done, also the fitter said no prep on skin before attaching it, just no lotion, oil, etc. makes sense! Hope this helps.

GrammaB, yep it hits us doesnt it? well just take it easy and kick back, you have earned it. I have no advice about the scar, my stitches dissolved and I never had anything like you are describing, but sure it will be fine in time, I try to remember back only 4 months and somethings seem kinda fuzzy about certain things like that, I just remember the tape on my incision was never coming off by itself, I had to remove it. they told me to tho and I didnt have any bandages to change, only a pink binder with velcro to wear and I hated it! way too tight but I did as much as i could stand. I should have kept a journal like I intended to, but didnt do it, darn! But you will heal quickly, sounds like you keep your diabetes under control as well, that is so important. Take care.

    Good nite all!

Laughing a little bit about the cami talk between ND and our Ariom... Ariom knows so much about all things cami that she can tell from style numbers what is not Amoena!  I only hope she does not buy them out of business as she seems to have done Marika...  poor Marika... our Ariom is like the... Warren Buffet of camis.

Z, I am so sorry for your loss, and for your grandma.  Another funeral!  Poor baby.  Would it be indelicate to ask if we could get in the bag for that?  I am feeling like misbehaving.  I am so straight-laced these days.  You let us know.

Okay.  Who, who among us, is going to deny me a small EF capsule-wardrobe splurge?  Who is going to make fun of my small splurge.  It is so F-ing hot here.  Every day I rotate two skirts, one of which I have posted here.  I can't bear to wear pants.  I bought a white linen skirt, it has a rough, unfinished hem -- I will wear it with a white tank, and then with a silk EF scarf in a color, or a white linen scarf.  I dare anyone to come up to me and tell me I can't wear white after Labor Day.  The ladies in my office -- the office ladies -- are just like that.  But it is 91 degrees here.  I am going to strangle someone.

I can't win with those ladies.  Every day, when I go in, they make a comment.  'Oh, you are always wearing black!  So severe!'  Or 'ooh, look at me Bobo!  Today I tried to dress like you!  A-hahaha!'  I make them sound meaner than they are, they are not mean.  They are just gossipy down-home people.  And I must look like a giant octopus to them, coming in everyday now, and my theme for fall dressing is 'Sprockets,' as I have said.  I have a real job at the college now, after working from home for eight years.  I have to wear real clothes every day.  Who will deny me a splurge?  Idesim?

And then when I dress in lighter colors: 'Ooh, look at you!  Ready for the beach!  I guess you are not teaching today.  You'd never wear that in front of your classes, you like to scare the pants off them don't you?'  And I'm like, 'Ladies, I cannot win with you.  Who wants something from Starbucks?'  I have just got to get them off my back.  As it is, I have made my new EF capsule wardrobe in Ash, rather than in black, Ash being my new hot-weather black.  'Look at you,' say the ladies when I walk in all in Ash.  'Dressed in the colors of Victorian mourning! A-ha-ha-ha!'

So the other thing I got today is a dress.  It is a color.  The black was not on sale, and see above note regarding black.  I can only imagine what the ladies will say.  Note the top of the dress, which is draped to conceal any unevenness in my area.  Thank you, Eileen.

And please note: this dress was marked down to 68 dollars, 30% off, and then I had an online coupon for $25 off.  Not free shipping, so add ten dollars back.  But really, not too bad!  Lest you think I buy $288 dollar tank tops, which I do not.

I reply to myself.  Granwe, I can only say you saw this coming regarding the Weasel.  I hesitate to call him BD, for Baby Daddy, since I reserve judgment there.  And by that I mean I do not know if I will even let him near our baby.  That whole birthday story was piteous.  You saved the day as usual.  I wish I knew the menu!  I bet you made some kick-@ss gravy for something or other... I bet you make excellent gravy, do you?

I wonder what you will do regarding this Weasel.  I wonder what move you will make next.  Or are you just letting everyone 'live their lives'?  That would be so wise of you, but I don't think I could manage it.  I think I would be planning some 'moves,' like chess moves!  Hmm.  How to get him out of the picture.

Okay. I'm going to post a picture of my dress.

Bobo, Love the dress. That's one of my favorite colors. Actually I like most colors, the exceptions being green and yellow. I like orange although I can't wear it. I'm thinking of doing my kitchen walls (very little space) in orange and painting my cabinets white. And I just got a new orange patterned shower curtain.

I'm doing vacation coverage (just the weekend) for another person's foster cat. My foster cat has turned into the evil black witch of hell. Now she's not even hissing before growling. Fortunately, our house is 2 story and there's a door at the bottom of the stairs, so they're separated by floors. I think we can make until tomorrow afternoon.

I'm starting to feel saddled with my foster cat. She keeps sneezing despite the vet finding nothing wrong with her. I can't return her to the shelter while she's sneezing. In addition, she'll be hard to re-home because she's 1. black, 2. long-haired, 3. doesn't sit in laps, 4. doesn't get along with other cats.

Oh no, Wren, cat drama!  It sounds as if your f cat wants you all to herself.  No visitors!  Could it be possible she's smart enough to pretend to sneeze?  I'm laughing a little bit.  I know it must be a hassle, but I can't help think your kitty is crazy like a fox!

Approve of orange kitchen; I only wish I could see the color.  Burnt orange, like the 70's? Or a circus orange?  Or like one of those candy peanuts -- like a tangerine?  We have been thinking of doing the kitchen an avocado green -- you are making me think twice about it.  But we couldn't do orange.  The football team is orange here.  Everything is orange!

I'm thinking a fairly light orange. The kitchen is very small. We had a kitchen once painted the color of pyracantha berries.

Do think twice about the avocado. When we moved into this house it had dark kitchen cabinets, a yellow floor, and avocado walls and ceiling. There were ceramic roosters lurking ominously on top of the cabinets. It took 3 coats of increasingly higher priced paint to finally cover that ceiling.

They are real sneezes, but possibly under volition. I've wondered about that.

Ariom, what great fun it would be for all of us to meet up at Chez Wandees!! :D

Yes, the stitches are internal, but I did have some external ones too that bs removed last week.  I think the concern is that that layer opens up.  I'm going lightly until the nurse is back Tues.  I went topless around the house a bit yesterday and this afternoon even out on the deck a bit to get some sun.  Had to dart back in when the neighbor kids came out in their yard....

ndgirl, I am going to remember that contact foob number for when the time comes I am ready. You like it right? Sounds easier to care for than the other one that is for sure.

ndgirl, if you were posting here throughout the process, you have your journal!!  I am going to go through and find all my posts, copy & save in a file as my journal!  Need to get to it before it is an overwhelming task though!

bobo, I doubt anyone here would deny you an EF wardrobe splurge of any kind!!  That dress is gorgeous!  One of my favorite colors too! And those ladies...I'd just ignore them!  My guess is you have far more style and taste in your pinkie finger than all of them combined!

Wren, hope the rest of the catsitting goes well. At least you have a way to keep them separate.  That sneezing could well be kitty's way to win your heart.  They are tricky little creatures sometimes.  My Baby Boo has this reoccurring virus that strikes his mouth or foot sometimes.  Hasn't hit his foot in a while though.  He got so much attention when he first got it, first was in his foot.  He would sit and lift up the paw that hurt limply and I would scoop him up and cuddle him.  It got so that whenever he wanted attention he would lift up a paw when he sat and act like it was hurting.  Sure enough, I'd scoop him up and hold him (checking his paw carefully) to find nothing wrong but he was purring in my lap like he got exactly what he wanted!!

    Good Morning ladies!

Oh, it is a gorgeous day again! It is so still and the water is like glass. I have a wonderful bird that comes. It has the most amazing call. I imitate and it repeats. This is the second one to take up residence. The first one, ended up a pile of feathers on my lawn. I think it was likely taken by the only cat we have ever seen here. They are few and far between, cats, I mean. I was so sad to lose that little beauty. The birds are a beautiful grey color, and not at all afraid, probably why the cat got it.

I would be afraid of a growling, hissing cat Wren! Do they scare you? There isn't a lot that scares me, but I am not good with things that can strike out without too much warning!

I like the sound of the kitchen too! I am a very neutral paint person, but I love color! I just rarely use it on walls myself, relying on accessories for the color I need. This house has been a bit of a challenge because it is coastal, so I have made this a cool, watery, seaglass place. I have still stuck with black and white, my all time favourite in the living room, but used the calmer beachy, coastal colors everywhere else.

I am very happy with my new big pots, and will post a pic when I finally get them filled. I think I'll go plant hunting today.

Bobo, yes! The children go off to school with a bike helmet with eyes printed on papaer and stuck on top, or an icecream container with eyes drawn on top is the norm during the nesting Magpie season. I believe the eyes on the top are because they don't attack if you are looking at them. It was the same in the city at this time if you were near a park. They are just so bloody territorial that they will swoop and sometimes connect. The worst are the Plovers, they have a barb on their leg that can injure you. It is  horrible when there is a particularly bad one. You have to change your route to avoid!

I looooooove that dress, and I also love grey, ash, charcoal, whatever. I would never have a word to say about you having a little spend up, in fact I would always encourage it! You know that! The fact that it was on sale, you had a coupon

I think these women in the office see you as "Exotic" and different! That's a good thing!

I feel for Zills having to dress so hot for the Funeral, I hope it works out that it is before Thursday.

    Take it easy everyone....M x

Pyracantha berries!  I had to google them, Wren.  That must have been a beautiful kitchen!  You must have a House Beautiful.

These kitty stories are cracking me up.  Birdie has a trick sneezer, and gB has a baby Boo who can 'take a dive' in order to get a cuddle!  He fakes injury!  How much do I love him.

Ariom, those killer birds are worrying me.  The great and terrible Oz!  I can't believe a birdie would actually hurt someone.  I can't believe one would attack me!  I love birds.  I love to hear about you calling to your special bird!  As Colin calls you... Nature Girl!

gB, it sounds like a good idea to get some sun.  You all are so good with the maintenance.  I barely look at mine.  But when I do, it looks different than the other scar.  And then I realize why -- I never looked at the other scar, not for an entire year, and the breast people made me see a counsellor about it.  I don't choose to look at it, I told him.  He said, Why not?  It isn't normal.  You have body dysmorphia issues.  Do you have cancer?  I asked him.  He looked taken aback, and said no, he didn't.  Well, I said.  Perhaps we should remove one of your testicles -- or take an unsightly 40 percent gauge out of it -- and then you can see how often you'd like to take a look at it.  Let's see who the body dysmorphic person is now.

And that was in 2008.  It seems I have always been like this.

I tried on way too many things today. No claw but tired, legs ache and hoping for no hurling.

Bobo that dress is gorgeous AND it was on sale, AND you had a coupon. You rock! Don't feel guilty. Be glad you can buy off the rack and dont have to try it on. Those women are just jealous. Don't have any advice and doubt bribing will work. Don't let them get to you. They have no idea you are a punk princess.

I brought home two dresses, a shrug and three! pairs of shoes. They still fit properly:) Both dresses high necked and colorful. DH said you're supposed to wear black to a funeral. There wasn't a black dress in the store.

I'm torn. Want to go but don't. Don't want to upset anyone with my appearance. Don't want to get too hot or tired. Still don't have any details. Will have kids tomorrow so no chance to rest up.

Wren you're a peach to sit another cat. I wonder if yours will hold a grudge when the new one leaves. Maybe foster kitties are too happy to have any attention. I didn't realize black was bad. People superstitious?

    Where's Idesim? Partying again?

Ariom. We have mockingbirds that are territorial. Not very big but feisty! Would attack the cat or me if we walked near the nest. I kept a pine branch to wave. Never heard of eyes. I loved to hear them. Ours could imitate a horse, a siren, and something else. Remember it was cool but can't remember the details. So sad.

GrammaB, Granwe and Ariom. Topless chickidees. Braver than me. Did you ever see the movie Calendar Girls? British film.

Need to go make my bed and do something about the acid.

Good luck painting and planting. Don't overdo it!

PS. My wig is David Bowie like but the top not as spiky. Have pix of kids in it. PM your email if you want a laugh.

bobo, the visiting nurse started putting Neosporin on the incisions then covering them.  I did the same Friday and Saturday and still the sites were soft and "icky (to me)".  Yesterday I decided to leave off the Neosporin until she comes again next Tuesday.  Between the sun and going topless, the sites dried out nicely.  Even after my shower, they dried out quickly.  I even walked around topless to make sure they were dry. Tomorrow, more sun!!  Maybe this will speed this last bit of healing.

I don't have a problem looking at the scars, each of us is different in that respect and neither is wrong or right.  bobo, I love the answer you gave that dr!!

Bobo. I didn't look in the mirror for awhile. Everyone's different. Trust you to come up with the perfect answer.

Granwe. There is a thread about swimming pouffies. I still don't quite understand the directions but am willing to try. They said they are very comfortable for hot weather, not just swimming. And my DH didn't say anything about my foobs either. What's up with that?

Hey girls, I just got out of the shower and some of the gang's here!

gB, so glad the exposing to the sun worked for you! I get around topless too, when I can, I think it is good for the healing. Always nervous Barry will arrive with a parcel! I have always bared my scars to the sun, after surgery, and I have a fascination for seeing scars. I know it isn't for everyone, and may be seen as creepy by some, sorry Bobo, but I see them a life's roadmaps. I've got a lot!

Loved Calendar Girls! Love Hellen Mirren!

I do love your retort to that counsellor. You're so good at the stinging barb!

I bet he was up all night researching his books to try to work you out! LOL

Zills, I can't believe you are discussing shower pouffies. I just spent some time, with one in the shower. LOL I was trying to work out how it would sit in a swimsuit. The new one I have, in the shower, today, looks like I could actually put it in a suit without unwrapping and re wrapping it per instructions. I will try it later and let you know.

Zills, are you saying you were wearing foobs and they went unnoticed? I say what's up with that too!:)

Glad to see you've been shopping too! I don't think black has to be worn to a funeral any more, does it? I wore color to my Mother's funeral. She'd have approved.

Don't give yourself a hard time if you feel you can't go to the funeral. Take it easy on you, but also don't be concerned about how your appearance will be viewed. I think people would be thrilled to see you. I know I would!

Bobo, I am afraid there is a lot of dangerous wildlife here. The birds are just overprotective of their young, but can hurt you. I won't even venture into the snakes and spiders we have! Except to say that Barry came to deliver a parcel in the summer with his phone in his hand to show me the 6' brown snake that was in the urinal at the men's bathrooms on the beach that morning. I could tell some crude Aussie jokes here but will restrain myself.

    Take care everyone...be back later! M x

    Bobo

Condo commandos wear white all winter here. The rest of us wear seasonal colors, adjusted for the heat. Get some school spirit girl! Oh, and I would strongly advise leaving town when they play Georgia towards the end of October. It's played in Jville, I'd leave anyway. Crazy.

Bobo, go for it, splurge of whatever you want! That dress is you, with your height, being slim and beautiful, those girls are nothing but jealous! you make a statement and they know it! Love your comeback about not looking at scar, I really dont like it either, I am with you on that, maybe it is still early for me, but I avoid mirrors in bathroom and bedroom until dressed, I do apply vitamin e oil and stips but dont like looking at it. I so hope soon they figure out how to cure us without such drastic measures, cut , burn, poison, all of the above, but not much other choice is there?

Zills, wondering about the foobs too! dont overdue. Naw, you dont have to wear black to funerals anymore, seems anything goes, i wouldnt worry about it, think that may be an outdated phase.

Wren, love the sound of lite orange kitchen, love orange but also am a yellow lover, just seems so happy and sunny to me, but really like most colors, I wear alot of black and white, my Mom did and she always looked elegant.

Good idea GrammaB about a journal, so much to remember and then find on these boards.

Ariom, sorry maybe I led you to think it was an amoena, cant remember, and about those pouffies for swimming, how unreal, I was just looking at mine in the shower and wondering the same, why would we have to unravel it? but i have tried it yet, anxious to hear what you say. Wow, I hate snakes wouldnt want to see that picture, we lived in western ND and eastern Montana in our early years of marriage and had rattle snakes to contend with there, hated them!

Well I am off to bed to TRY to sleep, that is a little better but a long ways from good. Good nite all.

I just love all the posts this weekend.  I'm so glad you like the dress, as it is a departure for me, color-wise.  Agree about the ladies, Z -- I won't change them, I just have to take my lumps.  I am not as thin and beautiful as you think -- I am a giant ostrich, 5'11'' tall, 155 pounds, with 1 1/2 big mangled boobies.  And our princess will be tall as well -- her feet are almost as big as mine, and she is seven!  Her neck is so long, it is like a bird's neck, and it is ringed like the trunk of a tree inside.  Like an elephant's trunk!  She is an exotic beauty.  She is the ideal beauty, she could be the next Grace Jones.  But I digress.

I think we should all do anything our Ariom says, gB.  If she says take your shirt off outside, take your shirt off outside!  I think I have said before you should just go starkers in front of Barry and get it over with!

Love the update about the animals.  I believe I am one of those birds -- overprotective of my young, and could possibly hurt someone.  I would probably love to be pecked by those birds!

ND, I have an extreme sleep update for you.  DLLP has worked four weekends in a row.  This morning is the first we have had together, and... I slept until 9:10!  This has never happened, never, since the baby was born.  I thought the clock was wrong.  Part of it was in the middle of the night DLLP took bobo's collar off, so he did not jingle it and wake me up!  And somehow the kids did not wake me up! It is a Christmas miracle.  I have been sleep-deprived for eons.

Spookie, I do not believe I am a condo commando, although I do not know what that is.  Agree about adjusting seasonally with fall colors, etc.  Thus the EF 'Ash' clothes.  They are very light fabrics.  However, I am going to wear the heck out of my new white skirt with the unfinished hem at least until November.  No worries -- I will hole up for the weekend of big games.  I do grocery shopping, etc, beforehand and then I don't leave the house that day -- I make a party for the children.  My brother has season tickets.

I don't mind the concepts of scars at all, esp. on others, and now I wouldn't be bothered at all for myself -- I look at my new scar with no problem, have since the first day.  Not doing strips or anything to make it lighter or smaller -- I support those who do, but I can't be bothered myself.  That first scar, however, was a lulu, and I chose not to look at it.  I think we should all be supported in our choices over at the breast center, don't you?  I got it checked out often enough to make sure it wasn't infected.

Ariom, you're spot on again.  That counselor would have obviously done his homework when I'd arrive the following week!  He'd try out new things on me.  He'd say he had been reading up.  Whenever he'd try out something, I'd very often say, Hmm.  Did you learn that on the internet?  The other thing I liked to say to him very often was, That is a leading question.  In other words, he'd ask me something but he well knew the answer he wanted.  I don't really consider that Therapy, I'd tell him. He's probably thanking his lucky stars that he has some new nice lady patients.  I'll bet he remembers me all too well.  In the end, he decided that my problem was that I am 'gifted.'  That I didn't want to look at my scar because I am... too smart.  He wouldn't listen to me when I'd try to tell him I am getting more and more stupid by the day!

Where oh where is my Idesim?  I hope she is sitting by a pool, eating nibblies, having a giant iced beverage.  And how is our baby lemon?  And how is Dex?  And how is the naughty black kittywith long hair?  I love her.  Ooh.  Speaking of shower poufs, Knitted knockers update!  I have two and a half pairs ready.  Get ready for some surprise care packages, my darlings!  They turned out great.  Although they are in no way substitutes for real expensive foobs, which I am sure fit much better and are all-around better.  These are just for a lark.  I have been working on them late into the nights, now that we're moved in to the tiny house.  xxx
