EEEww! No, there wasn't anything in the mattress, not that I know of. I stuffed the stuffing back in, and sewed a patch on the hole and turned it over. It was our first house and Bec was only a few months old, so couldn't afford a new mattress. Never thought about something being in it...eeeeewwww!

I went into town today and called into the lingerie shop that sells all the Amoena and Mx stuff. I have been trying to find a weighted foam form in the triangle shape, to fill the Marika sports bras a bit better than the microbeads. They had one there that fits the bra perfectly, so there is another addition to the FoobMoire. It doesn't have to go into the pocket and has a tag for you to pin it into a top or bra. I think this will be the right shape for pinning into the sarong in the really hot weather.

The Mozzies are really bad at the moment, I have been spraying the little buggers that keep getting into the house when we come in and out the front door. I think it is a sign of what is to come.

I stillhaven't bouhgt the plants for the pots, that's next on my list.

I hope everyone has had a great sleep, and feeling well in the am.

    Enjoy your weekend ldesim!

    Take care ...M x

Old wives tales around here are dryer sheets in your pocket or hung up outside or ziplock bags of water and pennies hung up repel the mossies. I think it would be better to add lavender, marigolds or lemon balm to your new flowers pots.

Glad you have a quiet weekend Idesim. Maybe even a pajama day?

When I was a nanny, there was a 5 year old black lab. She never chewed except one day chewed a hole in my shoe. I was watching tv and she did it right under my feet! Never did again. Have no idea why. She's why I got a black lab later. I loved them.

I bet Bobo is glad for the weekend. Maybe no rushing out the door today.

Baby feels better but still running a fever. She didn't sleep well and I had hot flashes. Come on nap time! It's a sinus infection but worried about catching it since her eyes are goopy.

Have any suggestions for getting her medicine down? She absolutely hates it. Never had issues with the boy. I always thought parents who couldn't get their child's meds down were too lax because they would quit early. She has 18 doses to go! Can't quit but don't want to fight her twice a day.

Boy is supposed to go to the circus today. They even allow you to go back early and meet the animals and try on costumes. Not sure if they'll go. He's going with his cousins. The theme is dragons. He'll be so excited.

Trying to get a head start on cleaning so I can mop on Monday and not be so exhausted. Also want to get a handle on the toys. They have migrated to the living room. That too would be a Monday project when they are at school.

    Have a nice, lazy Saturday.

It's an exciting Sat. morning here! The OG just left to pick up both son's, the smoker is in the back of the truck, pork is in the cooler, he has all the supplies he needs to make his BBQ, while they are applying the fiberglass to their first canoe! The process should take all day, and is the final step of the building. Seeing their excitement made me happy. I can't wait to see the finished product. The cloth part of the fiberglass will virtually vanish leaving the beautiful wood showing, like a highly polished piece of furniture. He does do beautiful work, and building boats has been his dream for many years, seeing him achieve his dream fills my soul with pride. Even if he is a pain in the patoot. Plus it leaves me with a whole day left to my own devices : )

Idesim please go back to that cottage this weekend if its what caused you to write the funniest post ever! I laughed til I cried.

    Hiya Zills!

I haven't heard of the old wives tales, but I have 3 different types of Lavender planted all over the garden.

I am glad the baby is  getting better. I used to use a game.

Here comes the aeroplane? Squirt it in before she knows it, or peek a boo, cover her eyes, squirt while she isn't looking. If none of this works, how about a bit of baby bribery?

A piece of a favorite candy or cookie, medicine, and then another candy, or mix the medicine with some Honey? 18 doses, something needs to work!

That Circus sounds like fun, I hope the boy gets to go and has a fun time.

Take it easy, the cleaning will still be there. Oh I remember the migrating toys! LOL  m x

Yes I did stop my post abruptly! A sudden excruciating pain hit, yet another F-ing kidney stone. I've already passed 5 this week, and the one that's on the move now must be at full speed and the size of Mount Rushmore. I so detest those painful little SOBs.

Hi Zills, the circus sounds like fun, hope the little guy gets to go and has a great time, glad hes feeling better. I had a medicine hater too, the only way to get it in her was to squirt it down her throat with a syringe. It made me long for the days when the doctor would pop a mega dose of antibiotics into a bared butt cheek. There's a ton of leggo blocks on the back deck here to be picked up, DGS came here from school yesterday and he loves building things. Usually hes good about putting away toys, don't know what happened last night.

M, another new foob? I'm shipping the OG down to you to build you a foob room. Lol. I've tried the dryer sheet trick it didn't work for me, but others swear by them. They are still swarming here too.

    @. Hugs be back later

Gramwe, Sorry. That sounds so painful! And I know it is. A coworker fainted in the reception area because the stone hurt so much.

Zills, Is the medicine liquid? A syringe (without needle) might work better than a spoon.

My latest theory on my foster cat is that she sneezes when she's stressed.  She's very timid, so most things make her feel stress. She had her photo taken yesterday (HORRORS!!!) and sneezed all afternoon. Today, nothing so far.

Oh gramwe, I am so sorry you are suffering with these damn things. I've not experienced one myself, but have heard they are as bad, if not worse than labour. Now that's painful! I've not heard of 5 being passed. That's terrible. I hope that's it, and you never have another!

Wren, the nervous sneezing kitty is a a first. I have never heard of that either. How cute that is though! I hope sh got over it too!

It's a glorious day here today. I am going to get ready and take Dex on a walk down to the big community market. I missed last month, so I am looking forward to this one. Hopefully, my fudge lady will be there with my specially made coffee fudge.

Colin's Sunday attendant just arrived and has been to the market already. She tells me there are many succulents, so I will drive, and take Dex for  walk later. I want to get these new pots filled, and hopefully, I can find some unusual or rare species. You never know what you'll find at this market. Everyone takes their dogs, so there is a lot of doggie socialising going on. Dex loves to meet other dogs, but the odd one that isn't friendly takes him aback, he looks at me after he's been snapped at, through his bangs with a WTF look. He's always surprised but never retaliates.

Well another quiet one here... I hope everyone is having a sensational weekend...take care...M x

Poor Granwe. That sounds terrible. Do you feel better after it passes or not until they all pass? Does it happen often? I'm not sure I'd trade my hurling for stones. I'm a big sissy when it comes to pain.

Ariom. What did you find at the market? I bet Dex was disappointed. Fall is when they have all the festivals here. Have plans for two of the smaller ones the 20th and 21st if I'm up to it, since chemo was delayed. I should be.

Boy had a blast at the circus. Saw a "real" dragon and a pretend one. I'm sorry I missed it. He doesn't like cotton candy. Still telling me milk tastes yucky and hasn't eaten dinner the last 4 nights. Told me he had to throw up yesterday. He just spits in the toilet but at least he's in the right spot. I think it was the cheezits. I lost mine too.

Baby having terrible temper tantrums. Still running a low grade fever. Don't like this antibiotic and neither does she. DH volunteered to give it to her last night. Yea! She's not eating much either. We'll be in trouble when they both make up for lost time.

Moved the toddler bed out of his room. He almost broke a slat so he's on the floor. She still has to sleep in that bed. She likes getting in the bed but got upset when I moved her mattress out of the crib. Will be my priority to get a twin for him tomorrow. Had one given to us but it has drama attached so just going to buy one. The floors will wait another day.

I guess Bobo is swamped. Glad Wren's kitty stopped sneezing. It's allergy season here. Hopefully Idesim, GrammaB and ND are having a nice weekend.

I have another day home with kids. DH working. Need to go to grocery but not sure I can handle it and them but gets crowded and shelves emptied if I go late. We'll see. Baby has been going to nap early and long. Still need to finish laundry.

Good morning everyone. Good night M.

Hi Zills, sorry you're still battling the antibiotic with the baby. It sounds like that one may not agree with her. It is hard to know. So much going on, for you, and temper tantrums too. I hope you get the bed issues sorted. I am exhausted just thinking about it all.

Dex got to come to the market with me. I drove, but took him because he loves it. He had a good walk and lots of sniffing other dogs! Many of the stall holders know him now, so he loves being recognised!

I got heaps of beautiful plants, including a couple of Mineata Clivias that I need, to fill out a couple of spots in the garden. They are all flowering right now, and look so bright and fresh. I found another Himalayan Weeping Bamboo, and some really unusual looking succulents. I have to wait for the gardener to bring soil from the nursery because I can't use the bagged potting mix, I need too much.

At least I am getting there, almost finished! The fruit trees are about to burst into blossom. Hopefully I can get some garden work done tomorrow.

Wishing everyone a great day...I am off to bed....M x

    Hello!

Not only am I swamped, I have no internet still!  Man supposed to come yesterday was a no-show.  I am at work right now, incredibly, and I had to pop in to say hi.  I miss you guys!

Granwe, kidney stones?!  That is terrible.  Are they just going to let you keep popping them out?  That seems inhuman.  Please advise.

Z, how is your stomach?  You've been having such a rough go lately.  I have been thinking of you.  How is the baby?  Our princess, strangely, always loved medicine -- yuck!  But for WB I would squirt a little bit of it into the side of his cheek, then follow with a yummy drink -- I would divide the squirts into three.

Wren, I love those guest kitty stories!  She sneezes when she has stress!  Poor baby!  I want to kiss her.  She is so naughty.

Idesim, so glad you got your care package!  Those knocks can be hand-washed, rolled up in a towel and squeezed a bit, and then dried flat.  They say you can unstuff them and restuff them, but frankly I would not bother with that.  Wash as above, and then, should you wear them out, I will make new ones.  You did ask for natural pink color, didn't you?  Didn't want to make pink if you are anti-Pinktober.

Ariom, miss you!  I wish I could drive into town with you and pick out succulents.  I have a fantasy of doing greens in a raised bed, but I don't know if I can manage it this fall.  Up to my  neck at work.  And now no internet at home!  Maybe tomorrow.

Mammogram for me Thursday.  Normally not a big deal right?  But please recall my last mx, in which the intrepid tech -- nothing like Ariom's tech -- herself a real-a$$ bee-atch IBC survivor, saw my films, took a zillion pictures, became upset, made me get up in my gown and call my PCP from a phone in the hall -- the nurse said to me, 'what am I supposed to do from here?' -- and then I snuck to my locker for an Ativan, which had no effect, and then I saw the tech in the lobby at the coffee stand buying a large frappuccino with whipped cream and a giant bar of choccy to calm her nerves -- or perhaps it was just a coincidence.  Now, this lump wound up benign, but I ask you, was that an excellent fun day at the mammographer's office?  No, it was not.  You might have an inside look at why I am so ill behaved.  And so, I know this appt is not as major as many others my sisters have -- we all know an mx is more in the 'minor' category -- still.  Who's in the bag?

Granwe, you promised you would send OG to all of us for bracelet-moires first.  He can do Ariom's foob-moire expansion after.

Poor bobo. What time is your appt? Take your Ativan the night before so you can sleep. Of course we'll be there. Maybe it's our turn to be rowdy. Still hot down there? Seven ladies in your purse with heat, humidity and hormones. Granwe is that a day you skip the Femera? I see ice cream in our future. Too hot for coffee and chocolate would melt.

Ok Bobo, I am there with you for mammo, even tho it is months before mine again, I find myself thinking of it already, gotta quit that! We will all be there , what shall we bring gals?? I still chuckle about knitted knockers! cant wait for mine, but PLEASE, dont overdue and rush them, we have lots of time!!

Oh Gramwe.. kidney stones are the worst! I have not had them but was with a friend while she suffered through them... ouch! hope that settles down quickly, but glad you can at least pass them, I went w/friend and they put her in a big vat of water and zapped them! dont think they do that anymore tho.. not sure.

Zills, you have alot going on with bed issues, sick kids, etc. etc. and of course this damn chemo.. yea, let's be rowdy for Bobo! We owe her!

So different to hear Ariom getting ready for summer with plants, gardening etc, and we are getting ready for the first frost.. hope that stays away for awhile yet, the heat has really taken a toll on my flowers.. too much stress for them. M.. so do you only do the rites once a day, reading where some do them 2 or 3 times a day, I am at 4 now! I like doing them, trying to get DH to do them with me.

Been a busy and exhausting few days.  I am trying to get my eBay business up and going again and didn't realize just how much it would tire me out!!  It may not seem like much but I do a lot of lifting boxes with crystals and stones in them, weighing them individually, then measuring them & next taking about 20 photos each.  Then the photos have to be cropped and sharpened.  Then uploaded and then a description of the stone written into my program for listings, then that uploaded to eBay.  Phew, makes me tired just writing it!!

I took my store off vacation yesterday and had 3 sales since.  That means they have to be wrapped and packed for shipping on Monday......... not so sure this is going to work just yet....  but Social Security is not mainting my near poverty lifestyle as well by itself. ;)  So must push on.

I see the BS for what I assume is the last postop visit this Tuesday.  Tiny bits of scabs are starting to fall off...yay!!  Can't wait to see the last of them!!  She'll give me rx for PT and bra/prosthetics too, but will wait on the bra/etc for a couple of months to be all healed and decide just what I want to do.

Gramwe, so sorry about the stones!!  I have a friend that has them too.  She has eliminated all oxalate containing foods from her diet and is much better.

Zills, hope you can work out a way to get the baby to take the med.  Hope everyone is healthy quickly.

bobo, count me in for the mammo! Yikes, what an awful experience!  I won't be having any more of those, ultra sound seems to be what they will do from now on.  It really sux to have no internet!!  Now that I am back in business it is absolutely necessary to me.  Driving around town to find a hotspot just doesn't cut it!  At least you can access at work!

ldesim, chocolate and red wine go very well together.  Rich dark chocolate cake/cup cake/brownie w/thick chocolate icing, + Cabernet = very decadant dessert.  You guys are killing me with the Tim Tam talk!! They are no longer on my menu plan and when I peeked at photos on google, I could almost taste them!! sigh....... oh well, I like my eyes, hands and feet more.....

Airom, I envy the plants you can grow!! Things are cooling down here already, haven't had a freeze yet, but night temps in low 40's°F (~4.4°C) are starting to turn some of the trees in the yard.  Won't be long before we have a freeze.  Besides the lavender I used to grow in CA, I miss my rosemary plant. Neither makes it through the winter....

Now, that's more like it! I was worried everyone was out of action.

Bobo, you know I am there in the bag, anytime! I'll get out and sit in the waiting room if you need me, doing my best scary Mother. Bec says I can do the best pointy eyes, scary Mother when needed. I just need to adjust a little from "Disappointing Boyfriend" to Incompetant Medico!" mode, I can do it! Then I can jump back in the bag with the gang and drink chilled chocolate almond milk, my new fave! Don't ever minimise the impact of ANY test. We ALL understand exactly what you feel!

Now, are we going to that same facility, same slappable tech, or was that another town, another time, just need my brief?

I don't know how you are managing without the internet, it must be awful, so 90's LOL. I went nuts for a few days when we moved here, before everything was finalised.

Don't even think about the garden, Bobo. It can be a pleasant pastime when things slow down. If you go by a nursery, call in and buy a ready made pot of mixed lettuce. It can sit on your patio, and it just needs a little water, no drama. You can then let the children pick the leaves for the salad each day. It will continue to grow, and you'll get a feel for if the young ones will be interested in a bigger raised garden. Easy Peasy! Take care M x

ndgirl, I totally understand your feelings about getting any testing done now. I hope it doesn't last, or at least gets better with time.

I do the Rites, first thing, after reading here, but before shower, or food every day. I haven't read much online, but have used the books by Peter Kelder as my reference since the beginning. The book says to do it first thing in the morning, warns not to do it at night because it can be too stimulating before bed, but that it can be broken into two sessions through the day. I am doing 9 reps each morning, and doing the 1st move, spinning when I think of it during the day. I have been on the 9 reps for a while now, as that is comfortable for me and 9 is my lucky, life number.

The book also says if you aren't well or just haven't the time for a full session, that going back to doing just 3 reps is so much better than doing none at all. There's no excuse really, for not doing just 3. I haven't missed many sessions since I started.

Now that you have prompted me I may try doing a second session during the day. I'll let you know how it goes!

Have to say I am loving this new foob! I have had it on this weekend in a Marika sports bra it is called a TrueLife Naturalwear Tri Leisureform 611. I went up a size because it is foam, and squishes down a bit, but it works really well, and doesn't rise up. The weight is just enough without being noticed.

I must admit another buying spree on Marika for another couple of bras and top and capris. I just can't help myself! Take care...M x

Hi Wren, hows it going where you are?

gB,I don't envy you setting up a store on Ebay. I know how much work is involved. Colin does an internet business and a store and sales on Ebay too. I do some ebaying, and in fact have heaps that I should have done over the winter here, but just couldn't get myself into the frame of mind for it.

Just take it easy with the lifting, you'll pay for it with the "claw" and maybe worse, so be careful.

I am sorry you lose your plants in the Winter there. I don't lose too many here, but my quest for a tropical garden, in a not too tropical area, sees some things get bad frost burn. Hopefully this year I will have more luck because they have all had some time to get established. The worst are the 2 Bangalow Palms, but if I only lose 2, that won't be too bad.

I have a big pot of Rosemary that smells divine. I wish I could send you some, am going to start the veggie patch again soon. I was given a tip about planting out the lettuce etc by an old farmer. He said when the ground is warm enough to sit on comfortably, then I can plant. I can't imagine me trying to sit in the raised bed, but I get the picture!

My next Tim Tam will be eaten and savoured for you!

    Take care...M x

I wish to announce publicly and loudly that "I AM AN IDIOT" I have known for ages that calcium causes my kidney stones. What have I been taking twice a day? 1200mg of calcium. Why have I been taking it? Because of F Femara. Stupid stupid BC. Now do I stop taking F Femara and risk a reoccurance of this sneaky ILC? Stop the calcium and risk blowing a hip, or being a stooped over little old lady because of osteoporosis? Stay the course and continue being a rock quarry? Change to another hormone drug, and the SEs that it will bring? Questions questions all entwined with BC. I thought that there was going to be glorious weeks without the dreaded MO visit, now I guess I need to visit him again to figure out this development. Nothing will be changed before Thursday's outing in Bobos purse, Wed night will be a whole F Femara, just in case the mammo tech needs to be B slapped, please lets take an open weave bag so everyone isn't drenched in hot flash sweat.

Nd, this winter when you are knee deep in snow you can get a little taste of summer from reading Ms post. It is odd to think of all the lovely parts of spring happening down under while we are beginning fall. Being here is like experiencing all the seasons at one time.

Gb, Ebay sounds like a lot of work! Don't over do. Yes I'm a helicopter mom, always hovering and worrying.Congratulations on your first sales upon reopening your business. Hows the smoke situation? Hope you are able to bare your scabs in the sun without having to wear a respirator.

Idesim, welcome to the knitted knockers club! Aren't they just the grandest things? So comfy and squishy. I love them.

Wren, can cats taken benedryl? We give it to the dogs when allergies hit them. Never asked the vet if the cats could take them. One of our cats has a huge hole in his neck right now, not sure who hes been fighting but he isn't the winner. So hes been having his wound washed with anti bacterial soap and peroxide a few times everyday. Wish he would stay inside until he heals but he darts out the door like a steak of lightening.

Zills hows the baby and the bed exchange? Hope you are feeling well today.

Time to face the day. Hugs

GrammaB, I too did an Ebay store for a couple of years, so I know how much work can be involved.. please don't push yourself too much.

Granwe, I never had the pleasure of passing a stone, nor do I intend to sign up for that little treat... I hope this passes for you.. I too have heard how horrible they can be.  If you ever get the chance I would love to see pics of OG's canoe.

Wren, I hope you make more cupcakes for Thursday's trip with Bobogirl, they will go nicely I think with the almond milk.. except it's so cold here I don't think I want mine chilled and of course I will bring the beer and we will slip it to her throughout the visit.

Moira, I love the sounds of the plants and will have to google some of them, we don't have a lot of the ones you mentioned.  I agree with Ndgirl, it does seem so strange to hear you talking of gardening when I am putting away things for the winter lol.

Bobogirl, I am loving this foob so much.. I wore it all weekend and it's just perfect!  Again, thank you so much.

Right... there will be no nonsense this time at the appt. or heads will roll.  Between me on my Tamoxifen, Granwe on her F femara and Moira with her squinty eyes in her Marika ensemble and the rest of us with.. what's your favorite saying... loins girded? lol.  Let them just try to make you the tiniest bit upset and there will be hell to pay!

Zills, you have so much on your plate and here I was hoping that you'd have a nice easy week after skipping the chemo.  I hope by now the kids are feeling better and you have been able to have a little time for yourself.

Came to work early today as I am leaving early.  Today is Joe's bday, he was also out of the house early.  Have a little surprise party planned for him tonight.

Hope everybody has a great day and evening.

    Good morning!

Bed exchange on hold. My granny has one in her basement and my dad has a truck. Easy peasy right? Daddy has a cold and mattress needs airing out. Too hot and humid so maybe this weekend. My sister will be here and it's supposed to be gorgeous. It won't hurt the boy to sleep on the floor on his mattress a little longer. His new bedding is washed and waiting.

Trying to get started. Both kids gone to school! Want the floors cleaned and toys organized. Going to try and get a JS appt tomorrow for my stomach. Still not right but feels more like chemo. I think my bug upset its balance.

Kids better. Boy wants a play date in his room with me and the baby. She was up at 4:30. Not sure when he got up. Told them they could have an apple in his room. I should have said tortillas. He loves them. He found fig newtons so probably have crumbs strung all over the house.

DH backed into tractor and wagon last night. At least it was the old 1999 dinged up car. He says he can fix it. With what spare time I don't know. I hope it's still drivable. Don't know how Bobo shares a car.

Chocolate almond milk sounds good. Does it taste like chocolate covered almonds but not as sweet?

Granwe. Can you take a smaller supplement or eat more diary to lessen the stones? I didn't realize they caused them. I'm sure I need to do both.

GrammaB. You need to be very careful. Don't get too big too fast. I found sitting at the computer made me hunch over and I paid for it at the end of the day. Also when you do your chicken wing exercises, hands clasped behind your head and flap your elbows, make sure you clasp your hands (eventually). I couldn't clasp and got lazy and forgot. Can tell a difference now and wished I had been diligent all along.

Ariom. Your plants. I have no idea what most of them are. Like to look them up. The clivia is beautiful.

Cat wrestling not my idea of fun. Baby wrestling is all I can stand. She's better about taking meds. Am bribing her with yogurt drops. Need to get more! Put tape on shoes so hopefully she won't take them off! Boy wanted tape on his too. The teachers will think I'm crazy.

Need to go walk and do my exercises before it's too miserable. Then take advantage of the peace and quiet to make toys disappear and skate my floors clean. Will earn my nap today.

Stay cool everyone and don't work too hard. Good night M.

Excellent update!  Popping in for a quick sec.

Idesim, I am so glad you like your knocks!  Please note I know you only need one, but I couldn't resist making two because I think you should have the same amount everyone else has.  I can't believe you can really wear them!  I am still gobsmacked that these knocks might work.  They are the softest organic cotton.

Speaking of which, ND, knocks update!  I finished your first one -- it is hilarious, it has a pink nip!  -- and then they ran out of the special natural-colored yarn I used for yours, and I have to wait until it comes in to finish the pair!  Stand by.  Thinking of you!

gB, what size do you want?  Doing yours now, in purple.  Did you want B?  Just making sure.

Wren, love that you are cat doctor and we can all go to you for cat advice!  Excellent.

Ariom, that's such a great idea about the readymade lettuce bowl.  I hope they have those here.  I really want to do that, at least.  Feeling a little bit of 'mommy failure' because I can't manage the easiest garden.

So happy that you're all in the bag Thursday!  Looking forward to a little 'bad girl' reunion.  Chocolate Almond milk sounds yummy.  I want to make that, but with the pure choccy, not with the kind with sugar in it.  Wren, iced frappuccino sounds perfect, as I am one giant hot flash.  And cupcakes!  All will make me a little more edgy, which I think is a good thing.  Can't wait to see M's 'pointy eyes' -- love that you have to switch from your (now default) 'disappointing boyfriend' eyes.  That made me laugh out loud.

Idesim, what's the surprise for Joe?  Report in.  It's cold there?  It's beating hot here.  It's still going to be cold in March for the wedding!  I know it!  I hope we are both extremely rested up.  I know we're both beat and working like dogs.  But, in addition to the wedding and the little lunch, I hope you'll be up for at least one afternoon of badness, just the two of us.  Hmmm.  What sort of trouble should we get into?  I amuse myself now by making a little list.

I reply to myself.  Z, are you feeling better?  When is your next treatment?  Have been worrying about your sore stomach.  ND, you sleeping?  Think of you every night when I wake up, covered in hot flash, and hungry, since I'm not eating well, and I go into the kitchen but there's nothing in the fridge I want, so I just stand there, cooling off.  I think, ND.  Can you hear me?  :)

Wink, yep Bobo, I heard you last nite, not a good sleeping nite again.. headache, nausea, etc. still pretty slow this morning, but ir is a rainy morning here, glad to have some rain even tho the farmers arent, and it did cool down, so think this will be a book reading day. Hey the knockers sound fabulous! but like I said before.. take your time and dont worry or stress over getting them done for me.. Thinking of you Thursday for sure with an extra big cupcake!!

Gramwe, I wonder like Zills says if uping your dairy intake would help instead of supplements, my mo said if I got 3 cups of milk a day i would not need to take calcium or at least so much, I am a dairy eater but maybe you arent, I know alot of people arent, I am very careful to not buy anything unless it is free of hormones and antibiotics, it is terrible the things they treat cows with, or other animals too, i watch that closely. I know broccoli and dark greens have calcium but would have to eat 20 cups of them to equal a serving of dairy... wow, now that would be alot of extra gas! he he. grandson drink almond milk but they dont really like it, I have tried and it is ok, but not my favorite.

Idesim, Wren, M, all gals, thinking of you, well off to read a good book.

Gramwe, If you make kidney stones with calcium, perhaps your bones would be OK without the calcium. Maybe you super metabolize it or something. Maybe google kidney stones + osteoporosis and see if anyone has looked into it.

I can only handle about a cup of milk a day due to mild lactose intolerance. I put it in my coffee. I do eat a lot of greens. I was thrilled to read that my calcium pills (the only ones small enough to swallow) exceed the Calif. standard for arsenic.

Sat. was my book club meeting. I had read to about page 30. I was so happy to hear that everyone who finished the book hated it. We agreed never to read that author again. Our next book is by the man who wrote Border Songs. Lovely, fun, quick read.

Just finished reading Happy, Happy, Happy about the Duck Dynasty. Not bad. Interesting and quick read. I've never seen Duck Dynasty nor do I want to eat wild game but the recipe for biscuits looks good. I'm a sucker for good biscuits and blackberry jam! Better than dessert most of the time.

I would have said the baby has a sweet tooth. She is always after DHs soda. Tonight she preferred to eat her cone plain and play with the one that had ice cream. The boy loves ice cream. Made "alien soup" with melty ice cream and lots of sprinkles.

Took 3 hours to sift and sort toys. Missing tires, the top to the ark, half a sheep and train (magnets). Have a big collection of tires. He loves to take them off. Have some toys to donate and some to sell.

Napped good. Not much umph tonight. Could be the heat or my stomach. JS scheduled for Wed:) Didn't even come close to floors. Oh well still have tomorrow. Need to pay bills too. Yuck. No paycheck sucks. I must be feeling better if I want to shop!

    Hi everyone!

It is super windy here, and dull. The wind is a Northerly which is always hot.

The mozzies are in plague proportions, and they said on the local news last night that they are going to be carrying Ross River Virus this season...oh joy! I was hoping to avoid the DEET, but have to work out which is worse, the mozzies or the repelant.

Gramwe, just wondering if you have the possibility of Aclasta over there. It is an infusion that you have once a year for 3 years for osteoporosis. Colin has had the 3 infusions with no se's. I had 1 infusion and suffered every SE it has. Just a thought.

I hope ou're feeling beter and there are no more stones to pass.

    How is the OG doing?

ldesim, you are still swamped with work, but i hope that lazy weekend was nice for a change.

I need a party update. Was Joe surprised? Did he love it?

I am going to try to put up a picture of the garden for you to see the Clivias. I am so thrilled that they are all flowering and looking so nice. I know what you mean about our opposing seasons. I was so envious of the warm weather you were having, now it is getting warmer here I am just loving it.

Catch you in the bag on Thursday!

Zills, I hope you are feeling much better now and the children are doing great. Did you get the bed?

Your family isn't doing too well on the driving right now, so sorry to hear of more damage.

Glad to hear the baby is taking the medicine a little better. A good old bribe of sweet stuff usually works!

The chocolate Almond milk I have comes from there, Sacramento, I think. It is  Blue Diamond Almond Breeze. I know you can't have it in the house because of the nuts, but it is a nice change.

I try to picture you, Zills, skating around your floors! Take care M x

Hi Bobo, I am in the bag with the right attitude on Thursday, and I will bring the Almond milk for everyone to try. It is ready mixed. I am a cupcake addict too, so I'll be in my element!

I would be very surprised if you couldn't get a lettuce garden ready made there. We have them in all the nurseries, just not sure about your weather, but they are pretty hardy.

You should never feel bad, you do so much for your family. If you can't get a lettuce bowl, maybe a couple of herbs for the window ledge? The children may take a likeing to watering and watching them grow. There is nothing like the smell of Sweet Basil, you can tear a bit off and put it on a piece of bread with some Olive Oil and tomato, black pepper....yum, or maybe some Cilantro/ Coriander, great aroma, and wonderful in a veg soup....just a thought!

I am so looking forward to you and ldesim getting together for some shopping and coffee, gosh I'd love to be there. What a hoot!

Hi Wren, love the book club story!

Arsenic in the calcium? Exceeds the standard for where you are, that's good to know...not! Where do you go from here? Do ou need to find a new tablet? I know a few who take the Coral calcium in powder form in a drink.

All this talk about calcium reminds me I haven't been for a Dexa scan in a long time...don't think I want to right now...maybe later. LOL

ndgirl, so sorry you are still having trouble sleeping and not feeling great.

I try to get as much info as I can on the foods I eat too, but it is such a mine field out there. I used to juice every day, but have backed off a bit since I moved here because there aren't the same amount of organic products available here as there were in the city, weird isn't it?

I hope you got engrossed in that book and fell asleep! Take care M x

Hi Zills, I have watched a few Duck Dynasty shows, very weird and alien to me, I have never seen anything like them.

Too much money and too much time on their hands, but funny!

I am awaiting the next two Dexter episodes, and then my favorite show is finished. I got ahead of myself and thought yesterday was the last episode, but I was wrong. Two more weeks to go!

I remember the toy sifting and sorting too. I also remember the pain of standing on a Barbie Hight Heel in the middle of the night in the dark. Bec used to remove car wheels too, what's that about? I always came up short, wonder if she swallowed some that were never found! LOL

I hope your stomach has settled, and you got some rest. No matter about the floor, it will wait.

    Take care...M x

no gB today, that's unusual. I hope she's fine and hasn't lifted too many trays of crystals and rocks.

    I hope you're just having a good rest gB...Take care M x

Hi everyone, I did get a good nap, oh that felt good! hope I can sleep tonite too. Ariom, would love to see pictures of your plants, mine are starting to fade, but so are the mosquitos! always a silver lining. My drs. at Mayo said never coral calcium, it is only good for infomercials! I did take it at one time, but gues I will follow their advice. I like to juice too, but need the fiber too.

Bobo, a lettuce or spinach bowl would do good i think, or the suggestion of basil is great too. But if it is still hot might still be trouble.

Wren, love the book club too, wish we had one here, maybe we will have to start one on these boards! Arsenic in calcium? I think it must be in everything.. wonder why?

Zills, not a fan of Duck dynasty either, but it is a big hit around the country it seems. Toys... I just had the grandsons help me sort thru the old toys and most have now been donated.. but always keep the old Fisher Price ones.. they are the best.

Gramwe,, party and surprise update, you have peaked our interest!

I am feeling better for the most part now, I wish I could share all my garden produce with everyone.. I just picked a 5 gallon pail of cucumbers, and almost that much of the biggest, juiciest red tomatoes! A friend is on an Alaskan Cruise and asked me to pick her garden too, I have been giving away big time!! It is so good right now, and the corn on the cob is good too, but of course so is the butter and salt and pepper that goes on it.. how can I lose weight this way?? Even tho veggies are low calorie we seem to really over eat! But soon Jack Frost will get them all if I dont do somethng with it and I will.

Going to bed early and hope for a good nite and wish the same for all.
