Thank goodness you are home Idesim, I was frantically trying to equip a bulldog with a keg around his neck and send him northward. He wasn't looking forward to the trip, it would involve him actually moving his massive body. So other than being without cell phone or wifi service, how was your trip? Relaxing I hope. It's a wee bit crowded in your purse with all these sheets of paper.

Zills, bless your sweet heart, upset tummy again, I was so in hopes this time would be without hurling. If there was a way, I'd be sick for you just to give you a break. F BC! and all that goes with it..

Know that you are in my heart. I'm sending you all the positive energy I have in hopes it helps you get through all you are dealing with.

Nd, our surgeries were only 3 days apart, but there is no way I could dream of wearing a contact, so many bumps, humps, valleys, craters go across the chest I don't think it would stay in place for 5 minutes.

M, the sleep program sounds interesting. He11 sleep sounds interesting. Last night I go in less than 2 hours. I see separate bedrooms in the near future, there is no reason for both of us to be sleep deprived.

Gb, do they have any idea when the fires might be out? Such a heartbreaking situation for humans, and the animals that called all those acres home.

Bobo, give us a back to school update. Does the princess and prince love it, hate it, laughter, tears, enquiring minds want to know.

As for the weasel, he is being given enough rope to hang himself. It is a bit like a chess game, trying to anticipate his moves so he can be backed into a corner and then knocked off the board by the Queen. DD had a long conversation with me and the OG last night about the baby having his last name or ours, she is seriously leaning toward NOT giving it his last name. We smiled! It is now the size of an avocado, and mommy to be felt it flutter Monday she was thrilled. Still absolutely. detest being pregnant she wants it over so she can see the little

    darling..

I had high hopes of escaping from the hamster wheel for a few days. A friend had invite DD and me to visit her at the coast, but unfortunately the car decided it needed a new battery, and the mail didn't bring in a check, only another handful of bills. So we had to cancel. F BC again.

Enough depressing crap! Going to clean something, and change out house decorum for fall. Hugs everyone!

That's so sweet Granwe. The hurling is a virus and not chemo (yet). I used to hang a fall wreath and put out pillows but I think the wreath didn't survive the closet and the pillows the kids and DH.

I did see some pillows that would match my decor year round. Am waiting for the art walk to see if they are still available. Downtown (all 4 or 5 blocks) close and the stores stay open late with specials.

I'm glad Idesim has been found.

    Waiting on Bobo's report.

Boy still not eating and nothing is staying down for me. Nurse did call back. Want to check my blood but don't have to do chemo if I'm not up to it. I'm not going into it feeling like this. He wants to discuss hormones. Anything I need to ask?

Sorry about the virus Zills, hope you and the boy feel better soon!!

ldesim, hope you had a great time in the mountains!  Did you get out and hike?  Oh my that is a lot of pages to read!  We'll get squished in your bag!!

Gramwe, they say the fire should be out by Oct 3.  It is 95% contained at this point.  There are areas inside the perimeter that are still burning, but the smoke is getting better. More days with less smoke to a really smoky one.  Depends on which way the wind is blowing.

Looks like you have the plan in place to eliminate the weasel good for you!  But will he push for parental rights even if he is out of the picture so to speak? I don't know how that works with the last name.

The first movement, how exciting!!  I can identify with wanting it to be over!  She has a ways to go yet, but the time will pass, and there will be a sweet baby at the end of the journey.

Curious how things went with bobo and the kids at school too!

The nurse was here earlier, he said to put some Neosporin on the scabs to keep them sort of soft so they don't crack.  Sigh...I don't want to have to cover them again, will have to see how bad it stains my tank tops.

Time to go shower and then put my feet up and rest!

ldesim! You're back! We all missed you so much, didn't think for a moment there wouldn't be any reception....duh!

    But was it fun?

I hope the Hercepton treatment is totally uneventful and you can wade through alll the stuff that has been written over the the past few days.

    Take care..M x

ndgirl, I have the same issue with my Contact. It comes loose at the top inside, and doesn't want to stick properly again. I don't like using alcohol I wipes on my skin, but I think that's the only way to ensure a good bond.

I love the Mona bra too. There is also a Target front closer in thick stretch cotton that I really like as an every day bra.

Zills, what a drag. I do hope it is a short lived virus for both of you.

Don't feel bad about the Funeral. Taking care of you and the boy is first line.

Great poem about our lost ldesim, she'll love that when she finally gets through all the posts.

Bobo still MIA. I wonder how the first day at school went.

    Take care everyone....M x

gramwe! I love the chess game! Oh the first flutter. I remember it, they used to call it "quickening". I am so thrilled for your daughter, and avacado?  It is getting interesting now. I undertand her wanting the pregnancy to be over and to have the baby in her arms, but tell her to enjoy this part too. I never realised that I'd only do it once.

I hope the weasel takes a hike, and soon.

I have a picture of the Bulldog with the keg in my head, and will surely have a few chuckles about that today. You paint a  great picture gramwe!

Oh FFFFFF Bc gramwe, I am so sorry you couldn't get away to the coast for a bit. That's so not fair. Take it easy...M x

gB, glad to see you're having a rest. Don't sweat it about the final scabby bits, it's almost over and you'll just have dry soft scar left.

What good news about the fires. It must be good to imagine clean clear air again. We are being told this will be a bad bushfire season ths year too, so who knows what that will bring. Take it easy and rest..M x

glad to see Idesim back and safe and sound!

Gramwe, you might be surprised about wearing a contact, I sure am not smooth or even by any means, a pretty big pucker at the edge of where breast was, but these forms are very pliable and pretty sticky too ,I was amazed that it is so comfy, I almost forgot I was wearing it! Never thought I would say that a few months ago, but it is pretty good. I dont wear it everyday but at times it is nice to have. lets all hope the weasel takes a hike, but he kinda sounds like he might like to hang around. yes tell DD to enjoy being pg, it is a special time but I also remember thinking I wanted it over too. Hope that little avacado stays well and continues to grow!

Bobo is among the missing now, but bet she is just swamped with teaching, kids, everything on her plate and all at once.

GB, get rid of that smoke so you can enjoy great fall weather and breathe some fresh air!! Take it easy and slow.

    later gals.

I think you can give your child whatever last name you want. SIL is from Burma where they only have one name, therefore no last name. GS1 has his grandfather's Chinese last name and GS2 has our last name. Drove the doctor's computer nuts.

It's my understanding that unless he requests a paternity test and establishes he is the father, the baby will have her name. At least that's how it works in Ky.

Only going to chat for a moment, (she says in an effort to convince herself)

Wren, bet that is confusing for the doctors computer. I'm not sure how the name thing works, guess we will figure it out as we get closer. I never knew they only have one name in Burma, that's very interesting.

Nd, are the contact foobs heavy? The ones I have that go into the 1 bra I own, weigh 4 pounds, or at least that's how much weight I gain when I put them on. They aren't worn everyday either, being flat is kind of comfortable, no bra and cooler, that may change when the weather gets cooler.

Gb, that's still along time for the fires to continue to burn. Hopefully some rain will fall to speed up the process. I have a friend in Montana they have had virtually NO rain all year, she was very excited yesterday it was finally raining a bit. Sitting in the sun topless felt great on my scars, luckily no neighbors can see through our privacy fencing.

    M, are you still awake?

Zills, chemo or no chemo? Tummy feeling better? Please let it be better. .

Fall decor is still under way. OG weeps at the beginning of redecorating season, he knows it means many trips to the attic from now until January. I love changing everything. He brought 5 totes down that were labled fall, pumpkins, leaf garlands, scarecrows. October 1st its changed for Halloween, November 1st changed again for Thanksgiving, then comes the big one Christmas. I love this time of year!

Time to get busy, its my one day alone this week : ) : ) : ) Hugs

Zills, the BD OTHER child has his name, but they didn't have a paternity test. That situation is one of the big strikes he has against him. I wont go there it makes my BP shoot out of the top of my head. Hope you are having an uneventful morning, no hurling!

Hi gramwe, I am still awake!

I love the whole decorating thing for Halloween, and Thanksgiving. We don't get into it over here much.

I brought back lots of halloween stuff when we went to Atlanta for that extended time. Bec was delirius! She loved everything, and still does a bit of decorating for halloween. She'd love to be American, she embraces all the Holiday ideas.

My contact boob is heavy, but the one I had removed weighed 985gms, so near enough 1kg which is 2.2lbs, so that would be about 4lbs for the two of them.

I love that we sit on our patios baring our chests to the sun!

You taake care and have a good day on your own! M x

Gramwe, yes the contact is about 1#6oz, but you have both removed so you could perhaps go much smaller and not so heavy, the first contact from Amoena that I had was much heavier, they traded it out for an ABC brand and it is satisfactory so far. Amoena perhaps has a lighter one now too, I need to check their website again, but I have my 2 for this year, I have an amoena lighter weight one that is not contact. so will have to wait until 2014 if I need more, which I suppose I will! hard to know what is best at this point, I like Ariom's suggestions.

I love to decorate for seasons too, just thinking it was going to be today to start putting up the fall/autumn decors, inside and out! Have fun.

Thinking of Zills today, chemo? Take care

Yahoo is down this morning!  M, got your beautiful pics -- I love them! -- but have not yet been able to open second message.

Totally up to my neck here -- will catch up later.  Sending everyone big kisses!  Are we in the bag for Z's appointment today?  I hope so, because I could already use a beer.  XXXX

No chemo today. Both disappointed and relieved. Rescheduled for next Thursday. Then scan and results on Oct 1st. Asked about next steps. Could change chemo to A only or try T only but responding well to A. He's given it as many as 15 times. Nooooo! Or hormones plus there's still radiation. I was under the impression you can't radiate lungs but DH thinks otherwise. I had in my head I would be finished by Christmas. Guess I need to rethink that.

Baby sick now. Don't think it's stomach. She didn't eat at school but gobbled a banana and had kefir when she got home. Could be teeth or sinus. Has congestion and a higher temp than the boy and I had.

Glad I don't have chemo with a sick baby and a working husband. Maybe I'll get some items knocked out in my to do list.

First off.. LISTEN UP.. It is NOT FALL YET!  Stop it! Stop it right now!  I am NOT ready for pumpkins and scarecrows... so just BACK OFF!  My SIL is already starting, I have a co-worker yacking about xmas shopping.. can I please just mourn the loss of summer and hold on to its final days?

Ok.. feel better with that off my chest.

Secondly,  I was literally LMAO right there in the chemo room yesterday reading through the posts.  My nurse Sharon asked me what was so funny and I told her about you girls and how Bobo acts up at the appts and she said if Bobo didn't stop her sh1t, she would be stuffed into the tube machine  which will transport her to another floor.. (reminds me of the Jetsons) however, if she is good, then she won't report the beer spillage.

Thirdly.. LOVED the movie Calendar Girls!!!!!!!  In fact, I want to see it again.. thanks for mentioning it.

Today's a Jewish Holiday, so its pretty quiet at work as half my office is Jewish.  We had a pizza party which I am still stuffed from.

My weekend in the mountains and by the lake was HORRIBLE as the weather SUCKED majorly. Since I am not one to shop.. it was a wasted weekend for me.  But I was with family so it wasn't a total loss.

Wren, I shall chime in on the kitchen reno.... I wanted so badly to do my dining room an orange color, but I chickened out.. as much as I love the color, I think it might wear on you after awhile.  I am in total support of a sunny yellow kitchen, which I have been thinking of doing for some time now.  Maybe a feature wall of orange.. or two walls orange?

"Home again Home again jiggetty jig" I remember my mother sayhing that to us when we were kids, that brought a HUGE smile to my face!   My spoiled rockstar Dex has his own sitter... he is one spoiled little boy, but I am glad he has do much fun playing with his mates and please thank Colin for the ice cream!    I can now add dabbing evening primrose behind your ears to my vision of you floating about the manor!!  I love the fact that you have a "dressy" cami, whereas I wear whatever I grab out of the closet/drawer.. we can't all be lucky enough to have a foobmoire!!!  I must thank you for having "da dum da dum da dum" going through my head and making me giggle to myself on the subway ride home last night.

I'm glad I am not the only fool to post something meant for here in another forum (*pointing and laughing at Bobogirl*)  I am trying to recall David Bowie Hair and will have to google this at a later stage.  I have to admit to loving the 80's although I never embraced it dress wise.   I did use my fair share of Aqua Net to get my hair to extreme heights.

Zills, hope you're doing ok today, did you have chemo or was it postponed due to the virus?  Congrats on your fuzz.  I am so sorry on the loss of Aunt.  I understand your dilemma, neither of my grandmother's know either.. we just thought it was best at the time.  I would not worry any further about the funeral you do not need the stress.  I hate to tell you, but I don't think you'll have suitable hair in time for xmas pictures.. let alon Oct. unless you are just plain luckier than me.  Just have the kids on the xmas cards this year if it bothers you or just have everybody decked out in winter gear in the snow.. that way you can have a big hat and scarf.  F being indelicate.. if you are going to the Funeral then you can bet your sweet @ss we are coming along sa well!!!

Wren, those cupcakes were delicious.. I'm sorry I made a pig of myself.. but they were just so good!!!

Oh and ummm... sorry Bobogirl for wiping my dirty chocolate cupcake smeared hands on your new skirt.. I'm sure it will come out!!

GrammaB.. red wine and cupcakes... really?

Welcome MemeJane! I would recommend getting a tank top with a ruffle across the front, I have a couple and i love them. I'm sorry about your fluid issue :(

GrammaB, you're sounding great I am so glad!  I am glad your DS got all your chores finished for you. We all overdid it (and still do), your body won't let you get away with it for long as you are finding out!

Granwe, you had me laughing the most, you have the funniest way of putting things.  But seriously, how can you yell at  GrammaB when you are the absolute worst!!!  Slow your roll indeed HA.   And that SOB!  I have SO MUCH to say about the Sonofab1tch  that it shall require it's own post at another time.  THAT SOB.  Granwe, refresh my memory.. she doesn't want anything to do with him right?  I am happy that she had a nice bday and that she was surprised.. I just hope that jack@ss didn't get any credit for your hard work.

I need to find out if our little Prince has been behaving himself in the bathroom in the tiny house.

DYING laughing over the swooping birds and sticks and helmet conv between Bobogirl and Moira.. again I don't even know where to begin on that one as I just keep laughing too much.

Bobogirl, you sounded like like Moira describing your EF linen skirt with the rough unfinished hem.  I haven't owned linen for years because I hate ironing them!

So it appears some @ss needs to be kicked in the form of nasty, nosy & opinonated co-workers who need to check themselves and for a good for nothing baby daddy who can't get out of his own way.

I'm posting before I Lose this.. I'll try to come back later but I think I'm going with a GF to look at some houses she wants to see.

    Ciao!

Question for Ariom, when you do rites do you always breathe thru nose? I read on line that always do that with the rites, i thought maybe in thu nose and out slowly thru mouth.. what do you do, have started them and was wondering. Thanks

Ndgirl, enjoy it while you can.. it's cool here today and tomorrow is going to be rather cold as well... I hope we have more warm days left.  As much as I absolutely love the fall, I know it means winter around the corner and I'm not a huge fan of winter :)

Zills, how are you feeling?  I'm glad you're getting a week break even though it drags the process on longer for you.  15 times? ugh.. lets not jump ahead.. lets see what they say in Oct. F this damn cancer.

OMG Tim Tams!  I had to google.. Pepperidge Farm puts them out from Oct to March.. I sure do hope they are the same.. I might have to postpone diet plans haha.

Here's a review I found that made me chuckle...

"Tim Tams are the best packaged cookie NYC Food Guy has ever eaten and now, finally, they’re in the United States at Target Stores. Imagine chocolate cookies sandwiching silky chocolate creme all dipped in smooth milk chocolate. You’ve never heard of Tim Tams because they’re from Australia. Ever wonder why Australia seems like a happy place? The answer is Tim Tams."

    And I remember this!!

"Tim Tam Slam: Bite off both ends of a Tim Tam and use it as a straw for hot chocolate or coffee. The result is a mess of warm, melty chocolate deliciouness. Get some now and don’t forget to contact Pepperidge Farm and tell them WE WANT TIM TAMS TO STAY!"

Idesim, We've had a yellow kitchen. Perhaps the problem was letting DH pick the color. It was much closer to egg yolks than to butter. It took years to get it all out of our lives. We have wall paper in the eating end. It was nice until the cat destroyed a huge piece with her claws. I can sit with my back to that, however.

Hi girls, I am back from the meeting.

Had fun and lots of laughs. I like these girls, many different ages and stages, but all a hoot. One newbie today, surgery 5 weeks ago, and she can't understand why she has to nap so much! She lives alone, I told her about all of you, she could relate very well to gB!

ldesim, I thought about you as I stuffed another Tim Tam into my mouth. I bought the Double Dip chocolate for today, but there are a lot of different TimTams, even dark chocolate ones. I have been known to suck hot chocolate through a Tim Tam!

You crack me up, ldesim, laugh if you dare but I promise you, if you were here you'd be lauging on the other side of your handpainted helmet. The F'ers are so mean.LOL I am not a scaredy type, but between these and the F swans, it is a scary place during nesting season. You have to be on alert all the time, it isn't the lovely, gentle Hippie type walk right now, it is war of the Birds!

And the Evening Primrose Oil is a capsule you swallow! LOL I don't dab it on...I am trying to save what's left of my mascara after that one, I am crying, I have laughed so much.

Zills! I have been wondering hoe everything is going in your house. Are you all ill? I sure hope not.

Wren! I had a lemon yellow powder room in another house with a feature wall of orangey lemon wallpaper. It wasn't something I did myself, but it came with the house. One day we had been out and our dog, Rover, named after the car we had, had spent hours sitting beside the toilet gripping a small section of wallpaper in his teeth and pulling upward. He had removed most of the paper to just above my waist height. He had little scrolls of paper stuck to his head, and I have to say I had trouble not wetting my pants from laughing as he tried to pretend he hadn't done it. He acted all nonchalant as I raged and shouted at him, but I just dissolved into hysterics.

I am exhausted, don't know why, may just take a "Nana Nap" on the couch. It cool and grey, and raining today, so no work outside.

    Take it easy everyone...M x

ndgirl, I breathe in through the nose as I start the move, and out through the mouth as I finish the position. Position 2, you are supposed to breathe in and out through your nose, but I don't find that feels natural for me.

Yep I'm better but baby sick. 102 and congested. Have appt at 2:45. Boy better. Won't have time to worry. Should be able to nap. She's pretty easy and will go back down early.

I've never tried a Tim Tam and not sure about drinking it with hot chocolate. Will have to see if they are contaminated. Children would love to try that:). Maybe in the tub?

Another gorgeous day here. Come on 2:45. Will feel the need to disinfect the house once this is over. Glad I have a few days. Would be terrible to have chemo right now!

It's Friday! Have a good one! Sleep well M after your nana nap.

Hi Zills, I am so sorry the baby is sick. I hope it passes quickly, and you don't get it.

Glad you don't have the added stress of going to the funeral, and that at least you have good weather. You'll be able to air the laundry after the virus passes.

Do you have an essential oil burner with some pure  lemon or orange oil? It's a great way to kill the virus and bacteria in a house without chemicals, and makes you feel better too.

I am sure the children would like the TimTams, just a rich chocolate cookie, covered in chocolate, really easy to open a packet and not stop till they are all gone.

I had a quiet afternoon, a nap on the couch and a movie. Hopefully I will get some gardening finished over the weekend. It is supposed to be warm.

We have to vote tomorrow. The two candidates for Prime Minister are so dreadful that I am at a loss as to what to do. We don't have a choice, it is mandatory that we vote. I'd like to just avoid, but can't.

Nearly time for bed now, just had pasta on the coffee table, and have been watching a horror movie, not my usual kind of movie, but interesting.

I hope all is well with everyone else...Bobo, I hope you get your internet back soon..M x

Thanks Ariom, I dont find it natural either, used to exhaling thru mouth. Got a good chuckle out of the dog and wall paper story! love animals, they are so good for the soul. Essential oil burner? hmmm gonna have to look into that now, also wonder if Canada has Tim Tams another wonder.

Zills, hope baby gets better soon and you dont catch anything that would knock you down again for chemo.

I still have a yellow kitchen and doubt I will ever change it, it is so cheery but it is a soft yellow, lol about egg yolks, that is a little too much for me but others may just love it.

Hot day here again, so maybe cleaning in basement might be in order. grain harvest is in full swing yet so good weather for that, just wish everyone in this country would realize that their food is not grown in the grocery store or just magically appears there! but that is another story. Have a good day all and nite Ariom.

No don't have a burner and not sure if there's one in my town. Would a tart candle warmer be the same? Probably can't find the oils here either. So I will simmer real lemons and oranges. Anything to make the germs go away!

    Thanks!

    Morning...quiet here again today!

ndgirl, I love naughty dog stories too. I had the perfect dog many years ago who never did anything wrong. I left her home alone one evening, and she chewed a hole in my mattress, and proceeded to remove the stuffing. I have no idea what posessed her, and she never did anything destructive again.

I hope you get as much out of the Rites as I do. Just take it slow, and don't worry about how many you do, just take care to execute the moves correctly and you'll surprise yourself. Take care M x

Zills, how is going at your place? I hope the virus is on its way out. I don't think the tart candle will do the trick, but the simmering fruit would be better. Take a look online for a diffuser or oil burner, electric is reallly the most practical with kids around. The oils have to be as pure as possible essential oils, not fragrance oils that can be made of very toxic chemicals, would you believe! There are possibly sprays at the supermmarket, we have pure eucalyptus, or teatree and they kill all germs. I just prefer the orange or lemon because it isn't so harsh smelling. At the moment I am burning a blend that I love, made by the same lady who makes the pain blend I use for my arthritis and massage, because there is a lot of flu around. We have so many people in and out of the house, I am always paranoid of the germs.

    Takee care Zills....M x

I had presents today when I got home!! Say hello to the newest member of the knitted knockers club!  I am in amazement at these things.. Bobogirl, you are a treasure, thank you for the bottom of my heart.. they look like so much work and they are so soft.. I'm thinking they aren't machine washable.  Thank you thank you XOXOXO!!

What a nice little treat to come home to!

I'm so glad you're feeling better Zills, but I am sorry about the baby... I hope she is feeling better soon the poor thing.

Egg yolk yellow would be too much I think... I want to go for a soft buttery yellow... I feel it would be so cheerful.

I think I tried the double coated, caramel and coffee Tim Tams, the originals were my fav.. not sure they had the dark choc.

Bizarre about the dogs with the wallpaper and mattress.  I can understand the wallpaper I suppose if a bit was coming unstuck... the mattress boggles my mind.. unless there was something in the mattress??

I'm so looking forward to this weekend.. I haven't got a thing planned and I intend to keep it that way after having had a couple of hectic weeks.
