Wren, cant see picture either, I havent figured out how yet either but havent spent much time at it either.
Zills, 18 kids is alot anytime!! they have alot of energy, wish i had just a portion of it. Glad your floor is clean but the aches and pains are the bad part.
Bobo, I am with Ariom on the gas station story,, made me day, always good to start with a chuckle!! thanks, remember we are with you tomorrow all the way thru! how are the kids doing? love the owl story, maybe he is just warning the drs at your appt, they better treat you fine or else!
Gramwe.. I feel your pain! my dh does the same, he finally went for sleep study and of course has sleep apena and has cpap machine, which he hates, he quits breathing and then jumps when starts up again, after my surgery I started sleeping in spare bedroom cause I didnt want to get bumped and know what?? i kinda like it!! his diagnosis with sleep disorder was many years ago, when I still could sleep, but sure didnt help with that racket coming from him!! the machine does help alot!
Well off to work, have a good day all.

I can't see the picture either! Boohoo!!
I second the Tim Tam lunch.. I can't wait for Oct.. i am going to buy a sh!tload of them! F dieting!
Has anybody read Janet Evanovich? The Stephanie Plum novels are totally frivilous reads, but I absolutely laugh all my fannies off reading them. I am on the 15th or 16th and had a couple of LOL moments on the subway this morning. A co-worker turned me on to her and I read all the stepanie plum novels.
A cat shucking corn? That's hysterical!!!
Zills, last week i was doing laundry, opened up the dryer and a 10 dollar bill flew out. Turns out Joe had cash in his shirt pocket (no clue why) and there was over 100 dollars in bills in the laundry... made folding the clothes a little more fun. At least your DH now has a clean wallet!!
That's so good to hear Ndgirl, you're the good witch of the North!!
Granwe, did you try kicking him? that's what I do when Joe gets out of line with the snoring.. lmao over the drawers being sucked out of the dresser! I hope you got some sleep, we have a big day ahead of us tomorrow.
I may have peed myself a bit reading about DLLP! I love her!! My fav exerpts "I have been driving her around for like 14 years as if she is my son. It is not romantic. Now she's driving, but she occasionally hits stationary objects" And of course this is very romantic.. forget about her.. lets worry about the car HAHAHA... "I'm a wreck about it. I don't want her to crash our only car. It is beating hot here. I don't want to be walking down the side of the road".
Why is there craziness at work? Are those hussies teasing you again??
Zills, enjoy the JS and treat yourself to some ice cream too! I bet the clean floor is worth the soreness and now you're good for a bit of time and got that behind you.. I HATE cleaning the F floors.. that's just a vile job!
After freezing our butts off for the last couple of weeks, we are hot and humid today with 91 degrees. Love the 91 degrees but F the humid part of it.
My gosh Moira, that's a sh!tload of plants! How long is it going to take you to plant them all! At least it will keep you busy and away from the internet shopping lol.

The fact that I'm posting in the middle of the day is because I am avoiding having to call this elderly couple who are so sweet, but don't undertstand half of what I am saying to them and my patience is running thin. They have to do their refinance by tomorrow or they will lose their interest rate (rates have risen) and they just refuse to see the importance of this and I am finding it hard not to start shouting at them LOL.
Maybe Bobogirl or Granwe can give me some advise on how to handle this LOL

It's weird. I came back last night and could see the photo. This am I can't see it either. It's a web archive which may be the problem. I need to e-mail the photographer and find out how to turn it in to a JPEG.
Funny story about GS3 name. DIL sent a photo of the ultrasound to DS. So they decided to call him (in utero) either JPEG or DC. After referring to him as DC for months, they decided to pick a name with those initials. Darwin Cedar is still referred to as DC.
0 -
That's such a cute story Wren, I like the name Darwin too.
0 -
Nothing wrong with the name Darwin! Approve.
So happy that my tales of the DLLP can provide you with a chuckle while I am here in the trenches! Direct quote from DLLP a while back: 'Honey. Do we have an electric bill?'
I'll give you a minute to absorb that.
Test tomorrow 9:45 am. Rushing to get ready. Children love school, and WB is adjusting well. What's not to love? Three recesses, a garden to tend, they make homemade bread, sing songs from yore. Painting. Natural crayons. They play chess in free time. Make butter with the real butter thing with the stick. They build teepees.
Z, I hate floors too! Must prep work in preparation for day off tomorrow. Why is work terrible? Because the extra-big boss dropped two giant projects off in our laps with a two-week turnaround. Everything else by the wayside. It's one of the stories of the ages.
Hmm. What should I say before I go. I have had one beer. Tomorrow I will go to the mx packing an Ativan. Last time I went in without one, and then had to sneak one in media res. Must remember to add italics before posting.
And then, when I get home, I'm going to fire up the DVR, treat myself to a special English beer, and watch a movie. No grading papers. And I'm going to order takeout. Thank you for coming with me! You are right, our Ariom. I have to hold the bag.
p.s. My mother's coming this weekend, staying two nights, and I have no time to rest up for the week. She doesn't know about the appt.

Morning all! It is bucketing down and cold here this morning.
I am still getting a giggle out of that Gas Station story, loved reading it again ldesim, so funny!
I think I mentioned it before, but I had to take myself to the guest room years ago because I couldn't stand sleeping on the waterbed. Colin rarely snores, but had this damn waterbed that I had to cling onto the side because it rose in a strange way on my side. I found it really aggravated my arthritis so I harrumphed off to the other room and a nice firm mattress. We discovered that there were great new materials in mattresses that could support a Quad without getting bedsores so we bought a full latex, king size, and haven't looked back.
I am going to look up that author and those books, I am not familiar with them, but I love a good laugh!
You are right about the shitload of plants, but they are big planters. It will take some time to get them done, but they will be great when finished.
Wren, I love that story too! We have a state here at the top end of Australia named Darwin! I like it as a name too!
Take care everyone..I'll check back later..I am off to the Thursday Opp shop this morning. M x

Bobo, posting at the same time again!
Gosh you worry me wth your fast pace and little rest. Now you have your Mother coming too. Whew! I get exhausted just reading your posts my lovely!
I'll believe your relaxing evening with a movie when you report it actually happens! LOL
I have chosen a Marika outfit for the appointment, so I can get jostled in the bag, and will not be dishevilled, just in case I need to intervene!
I am sure this appointment will be a breeze, Bobo.

Wow, everyone has been busy!! I woke up exhausted this morning and the day has not improved that.
Welcome Solnitsa! I dodged the chemo bullet, so I have no info for you on that. But there are plenty of us around that have done or are doing chemo to help you.
gramwe, no, no more nurse visits, I'm switching to PT now.....well when chest heals a bit again.
Zills, I am working everyday on eBay. But I am forcing myself to go very slowly. In the old days, I'd photo 20-25 items a day, now I am only doing about 4. Just posting a few listings a day.
I haven't bounced back from yesterday, so I really don't want to overdo w/eBay.
bobo, that is amazing that the owl followed you!! The owl is the totem of mystics and clairvoyants. [Anything you want to tell us?? ] It symbolizes wisdom, vision, and insight.
ldesim, I had to laugh, I have lost so many posts, most of which never get recreated in their entirety. I've started copying the post when it get fairly long, just in case. Then I can just paste it back.
wren, can't see the photo either.
bobo, I am hoping the MO will stick with the original plan. I was in no mood to call him today, just too tired still for any kind of argument/discussion. Will do it tomorrow.
Zills, I was close to tears when I locked myself out of the car.....I think on top of the path report and then the car it was just about the last straw. But I didn't. Still have yet to have a good/bad cry over all this.
Take it easy girl!! I'd have passed on 18 kids too!
0 -
bobo, I'll be there with you tomorrow! Hope it goes well! School for the kids sounds awesome! I just don't know how you keep up with everything and now to have your mom visiting too. Wish I had half your energy!
Ariom, that is a lot of plants!! Wow! Don't overdo with the planting!
ldesim, I'll have to look up that author sounds like good books for fun reads!
Wren, Love the story about the name DC!
Think I am pretty much caught up again. Now need to go make some dinner. My daughter's eggplant/zucchini lasagne on the coffee table tonight.
0 -
gB, that lasagna sounds delish!
I am so sorry you are feeling exhausted, but there has been so much going on for you. It is still such early days, and so much has happened.
Locking the keys in the car must have just been the last straw. I would have thrown a hissy fit for sure.
We have had this Owl visiting for some time. It went from Bobo in the middle of the city at night, to Zills in another place:) I have a book that tells me it also heralds New Beginnings and Positive Experiences.
We had a Tawny Frogmouth on the Air Bridge that we were about to drive out to our incoming aircraft, a 747 400, when I worked for United here. We had to hold up the aircraft while we got the Owl out of the area. It was quite a production, with lots of squealing, from us, and large wing flapping from the disgruntled bird. It was very funny, I guess you had to be there!
Yake it easy gB, I bet you are feeling a bit fragile with all this. I hope a good cry will make you feel better, and you can talk to the Doctor and work out what is best for you.
Take care of you.((((hugs))))

I have been to the Opp Shop, and found a lovely new with tags French Raincoat, just what I needed today!
It hasn't stopped raining, and is quite chilly too. I don't have much that needs doing inside so I may just cuddle up with Dex and watch a movie.
Lunch first...chicken soup and garlic bread... sleep tight..make sure you give me a shove when it is time to get in the bag for Bobo! M x

Shoving M into the bag,...come on woman its early but we want a good seat...be sure to bring you mask and hand sanitizer don't want to give you the creeping crud that's over taken my whole respiratory system.
Sure wish I could send you a big Yucca plant, there's one that I've tried to kill for 20+ years, I dig it up it thrives, if I drop a tiny piece of it it makes new plants. Please come take it away, along with a lot of Pompous grass, don't like plants that stick or cut me.
Thought I felt well enough to address everyone, but the body says to go to bed. Hugs. Ready when you are Bobo.0 -
I am here, I am up and ready. I always have hand sanitizer, became obsessed with it before my surgery. I was ultra paranoid that I would catch something that would delay my surgery, and haven't gotten over it! LOL
I am sorry you aren't feeling well Gramwe, a chest infection? I hope you get a good rest. You sleep and I'll keep watch in the bag!
Oh, I would love your Yucca. I have planted lots of them, and Palms, and heaps of different Bamboos. I have Banana's and Giant Strelitzia Nicolai, all mixed in with some fruit trees and lots of Camelias. There are lots of different species of Lavender too. It was all a bit too formal for me on that street side. There is a big circular planter on the middle of the path that leads from the gate to the front doors with a birdbath in the top of it. I couldn't take it out because it was built at the same time as the original fishermans cottage and the boat shed, so I have just mass planted it with Lavender and planted the edges with Black Mondo Grass.
The rain hasn't let up today. I went out and had my hair cut, and did a bit of food shopping, and posted stuff for Colin, but that was all I did this afternoon. Dex has been lying on top or beside me every time I sit down.
I am so ready Bobo!

Well, it's a normal morning of entreating the kids to get ready every little step of the way -- know what I mean, Zills? Granwe, I am worried about your chest, please report in. You should get that addressed early, if you need antibiotics they should be started early. Don't want you getting pneumonia. Poor thing, your immune system is down, probably from stress and from the pain of those F ing stones. Please report in when you can.
Not sure if your yucca plant grows yucca, the actual root veg, but I like yucca. It's delicious. M, I have been meaning to ask for your exact vegetable soup recipe. I want to make it exactly as you do.
Don't wish you had half my energy, you guys, as I don't feel that energetic, and run mainly on a combination of moxie, fear, and caffeine. Hoping things will settle at work. Once the e-project is running smoothly, and my boss hires a deeper bench of tutors, and I've finished with this PR thing and it is well-loved -- and provided I don't have other special surprises -- perhaps things will be better. I like to focus on my teaching. I love my students. But it is difficult to do that.
Who is watching me type at the moment? Miguel! He is a gobsmacking tuxedo-man-style kitty. I rescued him from PHL. He came to my back patio. The vet said he had only one more hour to live. Birdie, did I tell you? His mouth was open, and his whole face was a carapace of dried mucus, his eyes were distended, one was looking the wrong way. He was a little half-grown kitten. He had every thing wrong with him. I put him in my office and taught while holding him, gave him his medicines. He lived in there for a while. And now look at him! He loves to be in my office. NOw that I'm not teaching online here, he is sad. He liked to listen to the lectures -- he always settled in whenever I was getting started. I used to say he was well on the way to getting his medical degree.
Miguel! Picture the most handsome cat you possibly can. He does not like to be petted, but likes to stay close. If you pet him he gives himself a bath. He does not think we smell good.
I'm off! This mx is nothing, it's a one-off. It might hurt, though. I had surgery only 5 months ago.

You're so silly Bobo. Have positive thoughts you'll get Ms tech today. Sounds like your bag will be full of snoring grannies. Do you know the book The Napping House (kids book)? Love it. I too would love a nap. Didn't sleep well last night and boy up early. That leaves Idesim, Wren and ND to be rowdy. Wren and ND are in different time zones so depending on your appt you may have us all snoring!!!
0 -
No snoring here Zills, I am up and ready to be there for Bobo! new spray hand sanitizer ready! Oh I love the cat resuce story! what a great big heart you have to save him and nuture him! once when grandsons lived here, there was 2 baby kittys under my deck that had been abandoned by their mother, sometimes up north mama cats do that when having babies late in the season cause they just sense they wont make it thru our hard winters, anyway gs crawled under deck and rescued them! is was in 2008 when the presidential election was going on and one kitty was pure black and one was white/a little orange and the boys called them Macain and Obama!! the kids and parents left for a trip for 2 weeks at Christmas and we kept them in the house for them, we had a blast! they were playing hockey with the Christmas balls on the wooden floor, crawling on piano keys in the middle of night, and so on!! Glad they were resuced too. Waiting for the report on your appt.!
GB, glad you are taking it easy, and love what you said about owls, I havent heard one here for a long time.
Ariom, I would love all your plants.. I overdue them all the time, think it is because we have such long winters here and need the green/color as much as possible!
hope idesim is dealing with clients that arent so stressing!! Wren and Gramwe and Soinista, hope all is well, will check in later to see how our Bobo is doing!!

Idesim, I think you need to tell those obtuse elderly clients to 'check yourself before you wreck yourself.' Perhaps that will penetrate.
They found something in the right one. Took extra pictures, moved immediately to u/s room. No clean bill of health. They're moving my MRI up -- not immediately, that would be too merciful -- moving up to December -- so they can get a six-month contrast from the last MRI -- before they biopsy. It will be a stereotactic, stand-up-in the machine while they run a wire through -type biopsy. The 'nodule' is right in the center of the breast, very hard to get at. I have many many cysts in the breast -- I think all of us do -- but this one caught attention as a non-cyst, or a changing one. Hard irregular edges. 2 cm or so.
What's December? 10 weeks, if it's the beginning of December. Good think the wedding's not in December. Praying for whatever it takes to prompt PCP and BS to back me on bilateral MX. Because this part, the part I'm in, even if it ends up not cancer, is something I don't enjoy. And the extra radiation. And I don't really have time now for them to peck me to death like this.
Didn't see it coming with the right one. Showering, then popping open a large English beer. My mother arrives tomorrow. That is really not good timing. I've got errands, groceries, child care, my mother coming, planning for my classes for the week all weekend long. Don't know how I'll be successful at any of it.

I reply to myself Rapid Submission. Housecleaning also.

oH Bobo, that is not the news you wanted or needed to hear. I fully understand what you say aout bmx, this not knowing what a foreign shaped lump in our breast is, probably just another cyst but our minds dont go there do they? I would not see why they wouldnt go along with it and isnt it your decision in the long run? December?? seems like a long wait for sure but guess I do see where it would give a better look and comparison to last one. You may have to give them the "Bobo treatment" if they give you too much grief on this. All I can say right now is crack another beer! who cares if you are a cheap date!! I am too, would be dancing on table if I had 3!! now I would probably fall off! Hope your visit with your mom is a good one, you sound like you really have a busy schedule ahead, just remember.. take care of yourself!! I will be thinking and sending prayers, good thoughts, positive energy everything good your way... {{{HUGS}}}}

Hope the photo of Bear lasts long enough for you to see it.

Dammit! Again with this BS? Why oh why won't they just agree to MX?? This is so unfair for you to have to keep doing this. And why do you have to wait until December?? That's almost 3 months wait? What if (God forbid) it was something?? 3 months it would be a bigger something. And now your mother on top of it??? I think you should indulge in a couple of beers and let DLLP take the kids of your hands. I'm so upset
Oh Wren... thank you for reposting.. absolutely beautiful! Growing up we always had black cats... I love them.
0 -
Well girls. Time jump over to round 6. Missed the rain. Would like a good snack and a nap. Snakes on tv again. Must be the time. Have been here for almost two and half hours. Was supposed to be quick. No labs, no waiting. Going to have to pee again. Wonder if I can hold it or take a chance of getting tangled up. On Ativan so sleepy and probably poor coordination. We can plot about the BS.
0 -
Oh did I hate that! I swear I have a bladder the size of a pea.. I could never sit through a session without having to pee! I hated having to pull the whole godamn contraption to the bathroom too. The whole damn process just sucks.. I am in a sh!tty mood after hearing about bobogirl!
0 -
Bobo, Are you seeing a top notch team? Can you get a 2nd opinion? Two cm and irregular would have me very concerned. Would they want their wife or daughter to wait till Dec?
0 -
Z I am in the bag for you, spitting angry and ready to make trouble. Number six. Will you let us know how it goes?
Wren, I am NOT with a top-notch team. In fact, I did not like my BS. In fact, I'd planned (with the april surgery, should it have tipped into a BX) to try to get to my real BS, who is in NJ. Don't quite know how I will swing it with the kids, and the job, and the flights, and the insurance. But I've told DLLP that whenever the sh1t goes down I want to go to NJ for a destination mx.
In fact, a good friend of mine has a friend here who just had an MX -- it all happened rather quickly, a tough case -- and it was a butcher job.
I am going to get idesim in trouble in the bag at Zs. I have just decided it out of nowhere. I am going to eat all the cupcakes except one, then smear a little icing on idesim so that everyone thinks she did it. It would be so like her to eat them. And then, I will remain silent as all of you exclaim. Wait. I thought there were cupcakes. I wanted a cupcake. Who did this. I won't say anything... I will just indicate with my eyes the smear of icing on idesim's face...
I hope the nurses don't throw us out today at Z's. I want to stay with her the whole time.

Bobo
Come to Tampa to Moffitt at USF. excellent facility, my BS is adjunct there too. Do you know Special K from BCO? I think she had treatment there, shoot her a PM.0 -
Zills, how are you doing? Look out idesim, bobo is after you, laughing at your description!
Bobo, are you close to Jacksonville, FL? there is a Mayo clinic there, I had my surgery at Rochester, MN but they are some of the best.. I think you DO need a top notch team!
Wren, love the picture! we have one just like that at the neighbors.. love it!
0 -
Oh bobo, I am so sorry you didn't get better news! (I was one of the grannies snoozing during your appt.) I don't quite understand why you can't get the BMX. Is it because you didn't do a MX the first surgery? Why is your BS balking at it? I'd be seriously looking for a new one! This makes no sense and almost borders on cruel. You have the right to decide on your treatment. There must be more that I don't know about to be stalled like this. Sending you healing energy and positive thoughts.
My BS, RO and MO all tried to talk me out of the BMX, but once I had decided to do MX, the BMX made more sense to me. The BS questioned me right up to being wheeled into the OR. I told her, if I had 3 boobs I'd have you take them all too!! I just don't get why they are making you jump through so many hoops!
Enjoy your beer and if need be, have another you deserve it!! (((Hugs)))
Jumping over to be with Zills....hope it all goes smoothly.
Wren, your cat is darling!! I had a black kitty as a child, last male in the litter, one eye never opened. Frankly he was a pretty mean cat. I was a bit afraid of him sometimes. But when he wanted, he could be cuddly.
Called my MO this morning. He said the plan is still the same, no changes due to difference in path report. So just see him in November. Phew, that was a load off, dodged the hormone therapy one more time!!
Had to run a couple errands between the jaunts in bobo's and Zills' bags and boy am I wiped out yet again. I think I need to just stay home and do nothing for a couple of days and hope to get some energy back. Must try to not do so much!!
I have a question, how long before this steel band feeling on my chest goes away? I'm trying to push through it but by the end of the day I just need to take an Aleve to get it under control. I'm hoping there is an end in sight.....
